This is our favorite place to stay in Reno. The staff is always friendly, the rooms are always nice, and there's always cool things to do at the hotel. The shows are great, and they always have decent bands playing.

This is one of my favorite resorts to visit. It has many of the things you would find in a Vegas resort and more. There is a go kart track, bowling alley, arcade, shops, pool and a good variety of restaurants that make this a family friendly place. The rooms are great (we were in the summit rooms and got an upgrade to the suite). The bathroom was beautiful and had a nice soaking tub in addition to a beautiful shower. The bed was not anything special, but alright. We had a great view of Reno from the 19th floor. My favorite place is the spa. They have a great steam room, a dry sauna, hot tub, relaxation lounge and a co-ed room with a giant hot tub and comfy chairs. We only ate at the Grand Cafe because we had dinner late and everything else was closed, but it was good and they have lots of choices if you can get there before the late night menu starts at 10:00. The poker room is nice and there are some non-smoking areas for slot play, but even the smoking areas were not bad. The only problem we had was trying to get a ride back to the oversized parking lot and the bell desk didn't know how that worked, but we got it worked out and overall really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning.

Hours on the floor and hundreds gambling with No Free Drinks and made winning and losing not fun at ALL.... Were they on strike? 1 girl with bum leg (hurt)was rude. She should of stay home to recover from fall.

We visit here every year for a conference and it's always a nice stay. The ONLY drawback is that you can smell the smoke as soon as you walk in. In years past it wouldn't bother me but as I get older it now does.

Nice casino. Off the main strip in Reno. Quite a few trendy restaurants located inside. Cool atmosphere more akin to typical Vegas. The lower level could benefit from more shops. Great service at front rewards club desk and at the buffet.

Went bowling for my cousins birthday and they had so many lanes, it made it easy to get a lane on a Friday night. No issues with the pins ever getting stuck or knocked down. Prices were $5 per game and $4 shoe rental. After that we went to play laster tag and they give you 10 minutes for $8 which is pretty good.

There was no microwave in the room at all. The air conditioning would not even go below 73 degrees Fahrenheit. I also could not find any machines that cost less than $0.25 a credit. No Penny machines is what I'm saying.

I like the service. I didn't give four stars because my standard room wasn't clean. I asked for it to be cleaned but realized I didn't have time to wait so I went down to get a new room and they upgraded us no charge. This is the view from our room. The food is good.

Love the place, but the prices have become to rich for my blood. It is Reno for goodness sake!! I believe they are now catering to international customers since the remodel or the super rich. I went to the buffet recently $25 or $30 bucks per person!! LoL!! It would of cost me and my gal $60 for Sunday brunch. It's always been great, but come on!! I do miss it. :(

This place was awesome. It has everything a family needs for entertainment. Basically your one-stop-shop family entertainment stop. It looks like they recently renovated from the last time we were here so a lot of things look new. I would say having a bowling alley, movie theater, slot machines, arcade center, all in one place is great awesome radical gnarly ! they have it all here... It's great!

We went gambling. Like the keno machines there. They have more of the Cleopatra ones than any casino in Reno. Also multi denomination on every machine and are spread out throughout the casino floor. This is a very popular game for keno players. Great payouts with minimal wager. The machines here all pay out good. No matter where you find a seat

Very nice, family friendly, rooms are nice. Staff is good and good selection of food! Will be back! Casino also great. Only down fall no place to wash laundry. Also great tractor trailer parking security will pick you up if you call ahead.

I have stayed here a few times but I do not know if I will go back. On my last day I paid my bill and closed out my credit card, it was about $100 more than I thought it was going to be. They attributed that to extra Resort fees and taxes.

When I got home and got my credit card statement at the end of the month, I see they charged an additional $50 and it was a week after I checked out.

They claim that extra $50 was a fine for a parking infraction. I have disabled plates on my truck and I was not parked in handicap area and they said my mirrors were too wide and I blocked another parking space, therefore I was fined $50.

Hmmmm, sounds to me like they need every nickel-and-dime they can get.

GSR has been remodles and it looks nice. We didn't gamble. Just went in for California Pizza Kitchen. We got seated right away. A few had to use the ladies room and it is still in the same place. A little bit if a walk. When we got back the others had ordered apps. I was to!d they were good. The menu had been cut down some. We had 4 pizzas and a bowl of veggie something. Everyone said it was good food. I had to take mine home. It was very expensive. Over one hundred dollers for 5 people. I think I'll stick to the freezer section at the store for CPK pizzas. Same taste cheaper price.

Absolutely amazing hotel, casino, and staff! They always help when needed, lots of food areas, beautiful scenery, and LOTS of room! The rooms are always kept cleaning, and room service is always spot on! I've been coming to this hotel for over 3 years now and I've always had a wonderful experience! Thanks GSR!

Having a great time full on family fun , take the kids to fun quest!, Catch a movie with your sweetheart, and of course all the newest slots coupled with great service and beautiful rooms. If your feeling brave try the ultimate rush free fall or if you have the urge to speed, check out the unique slick track gocart experience, not to mention improve that golf swing at the water driving range. Only real resort in Reno.

The staff were very friendly. We went at non peak time to avoid the crowds. The manifest was not very discriptive about the room amenities but Kevin was very resourceful and found us a room that fit out needs. The room was really nice but the cleaning staff left a wad of hair in with the blow dryer that was not a pleasant way to start the day. The cleaning staff cleaned our room while we were out and we came back to a nice bottle of cleaning supply left behind.
The casino was undergoing a lot of construction which made it a little noisy. I would stay there again and I am looking forward to seeing what the renovation entails.

Very nice. Quite rooms friendly staff. Need to clean air ducts though. Room i m in now keeps blowing chunks of dust from a/c vent all over bed and floor. Not sure why housekeeping wouldn t note this.

I always recommend this hotel for my out of town guests. There are a TON of activities on site, including a seasonal pool, 24/7 bowling, kid's arcade with laser tag and mini golf, Aqua Driving Range, go carts, a thrill ride, shopping, and, of course, gambling! They recently renovated their rooms so they're much nicer and there's almost always availability. There are many restaurants, as well, but their food isn't my favorite; the Cafe is especially slow with bland food. Overall, the pros outweigh the limited good food options.

Grand Sierra is a very up to date resort. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. We liked all the other available activities besides gambling. The boys enjoyed the arcade and my husband was intrigued by the golf range. We had an enjoyable dinner at Grand cafe.

Im not a huge casino fan because of the smoke. The pool area closed to early for me. Our room was nice and clean as was the rest of the hotel. We liked the self serve wine bar. Staff was awesome there!

Good buffet, nice rooms available, nice scenery inside, easy to get lost in here your first time, friendly staff, good selection of machines. Right across the street from the convention center, Outback Steakhouse, a nice bar(the lucky beaver), and a billiard hall just down the street. Very centrally located, less need of a cab saves travelers money.

I have always enjoyed my visits to the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. If you book well in advance, the rates can be incredibly cheap. Wait to the last minute and you risk triple the cost or sold out. 5-10 min from downtown Reno, this place is a stand alone oasis. Have fun!

This is a very mixed review. I want to give them the Benefit of the doubt due to Covid but....

Pros: lots of amenities! Adult areas and kid areas, variety of food and drink choices. You could basically spend your whole vacation in one building and not be bored

Cons: prices are high but I guess that s to be expected. The worst part was how dirty it was. My room counter tops were gross and I had to re wipe them myself and ask the maid to come in to vacuum. There was garbage scattered in my hallway that was there when I got there and still there when I left 4 days later

The casino is very nice. A good selection of slots to choose from to play. The restaurant row has a good variety. My only negative is the slots are not as loose like some of the other casinos.

Always have a good experience at GSR. However, on this visit there is no valet parking and they have done nothing to accommodate handicapped guests. Had to park far away even though there was plenty of parking available in "high roller" area close to entrance.

M eh, check in is a pain in the butt. They hit you for a resort fee and a $50 deposit on top of your daily room rate. Ridiculous!!! I never use anything that involves the resort fee. Very smokey when you go in the main entrance.

Great hotel, really nice amenities. The only issues I had were the very long check-in & check-out times. It took 2 hours to check in, and 2 hours to check out.

My room was great, wifi enabled, & had a nice bed. Would definitely recommend, but be ready to wait in line at the front desk!

Will never stay here and will never spend my money here. If it wasn't for a friend paying for the rooms I would ask for a refund and stay at motel 6. Better service and better people there then here. (Any motel 6) Rude checking and manager worse.(night staff must not like there job) I won't even tip the valet. They can park it for free. Suck an egg.

Great hotel experience as always. The resort fee and room rates have gone up slightly, but the A rooms, housekeeping, and front desk staff are top notch. The new renovations (pool area, crystal bar, front desk, etc) are beautiful and the food and entertainment options are, as always, spectacular. I look forward to visiting each year!

Best casino in Reno. Friendly staff, clean rooms, well put together casino. Never have had a bad time, and any time we've had an issue they are quick to resolve it. Cant stress enough overall for your money, there is no better option in teno than the GSR

From the front desk to the dealers and cahiers, all of the staff was very friendly. The room was clean and comfy. My only complaint was that the cleaners woke me up twice before 9 am. That was my fault for not putting up the "do not disturb" sign

GSR has been a favorite for a while now. The air is clean, the staff is sweet and the comps are awesome when it comes to free rooms. The food comps are a bit lacking as are machine comps but I love the place. I try and get there twice a month just because it's not too far and I love being in Reno.

Superb! Definitely recommend for any event or just a stay in Reno. Our room was updated to a suit at no additional costs and it was amazing. Great customer service and lots of places to go enjoy and tons of different foods and restaurants. Why would you leave?

I had received an e-mail for 2 free nights in February and chose the 19th as it was my birthday. When I booked online, I was never informed it was a blackout date and I was under the impression I had to pay the resort fee and that was it. I received an e-mail 3 days prior to my stay and the total stated $189+. I called and spoke to a very rude person in the reservations department who then informed me it was a blackout date, I should have read the fine print, and the total was correct. $189 for a basic room on a Sunday night? I will never visit again. I have a bunch of free play waiting for me on my players card, but I'd rather sit in the middle of the freeway than visit your "resort"

Rooms are nicely remodeled. The restaurants are awesome (non smoking) the gaming area is ok I've seen better. The steak house is really pricey, but worth it. Rib eye steak is really tasty. Overall a good experience.

The hotel rooms are nice . Ice machine never works, have to go search for every floor. Would not gamble here. Pay outs are horrible. The restraunts are so so. The staff isn t the best around. The nugget is the place to go

Place is pretty incredible. Here with my teenage son so we picked it because it is definitely family friendly. Lots to do. We've hit a couple movies, bowled a couple games and he has done the go karts. Buffet was incredible. The largest dessert bar I have ever seen, that includes the Vegas buffets. Going to try the breakfast buffet Friday morning. Staff extremely friendly.

Huge Hotel and Casino. Rooms are a bit overpriced compared to Vegas. Pool Area is good. Gym average. Lots of Restaurants and Buffets within the complex. Free Parking spaces all around the hotel. Staying here for the forth time now I am changing my score to one star. They now charge 30 Dollars extra for early check-in, all four front desk employees were rude, we couldn't sleep as you hear the planes coming in. Lot's of broken glass on the parking lots from people breaking in cars. Never again. Will book the Atlantis from now on.
