Lex is a great nightclub in there. Rooms are nice. Many good food options. Conveniently right off the highway. Walmart across the street in case you forgot to pack something.

Used to love this place and I've stayed in the rooms MANY times..... This time was absolutely HORRIBLE.... Everything about the whole experience was a disaster actually. I'm SOOOO VERY disappointed in the GSR at this point.
Clean, nice atmosphere. The food is great. But pricey. Not enough employees to cover certain departments.
This place is amazing. Driving from Texas to California, we needed a break. This vacation turned into another vacation!!! The beds are heheaven. Loved the pool, workout gym, very kid friendly. Also they have a putt putt, movie theater, bowling, etc. Will definitely be back with the rest of the family.
We come to the gsr twice a year. They have beautiful clean rooms, good deals and its a safe hotel. you get good comps when you gamble. They also have alot of good stuff downstairs. Cheap movie theater, bowling alley, escape room and more def my favorite place to stay in Reno unless I'm in a suit and peppermill which doesnt happen to often.
Casino is great..hotel is horrible and food is horrible
I like the place a lot. If only we are near here, I will frequently visit. Slot machines are not too tight. Pool is good too.
Awesome lively hotel, much. Better than neighboring casino resorts.
GSR one of the best experience by far...
One of many casinos where you can have fun and make funds...Hot waitresses, cool ass security guards.I had a great time twice, Thank you see you soon!
It's similar to Vegas's in so many ways clean well lit it has an energetic feel.
There are no 5 or 10 dollars black jack tables not a really good way to win anything but i guess its gambling
Better ventilation is a must, it's hard to breathe and should be cooler inside. Other than that, it's always a good time.
Very clean and welcoming. Light and bright. No smokey air.
I loved the heated pool, watched a Movie and hit the pool again. The hot tub was great and the fire pits were awesome! Staff was friendly and helpful.
Love slots machines, Buffett is awesome, a lot variety of food and good flavor, recommended, ambient is great, positive vibes ...
Awesome resort and staff! I've been coming here for the past several years for conventions and this resort has always been so amazing to us! The rooms are great and there are tons of good food options in the casino and lower levels! All the staff from the reception desk to housekeeping are so accommodating and friendly, much love!
This place is outstanding. I have been staying here for many many times. The food here is fantastic. This place have many amenities for your enjoyment. This place has movie theater, concert hall, night club, and game alley for the young ones and growing up alike. Plenty of parking all around the hotel. They provide valet parking services too. The best part of all is they have a great comp programs if you sign up to be a member. It is free for everyone who wants to join. The place is huge. I can't wait to go back there again.
We showed up at 8 pm with a reservation, made over a couple of weeks ago, and our rooms (three of them) were not available!!! Are you kidding me! They said they will text us when the rooms are available. Would not recommend!!
We went to the Grand Buffet for their Thanksgiving Day Buffet. It was a major disappointment. Not only did the turkey taste horrible, it was extremely tough and dry. I could only stomach one bite of it. As far as the rest of the food, it was cool to lukewarm and all relatively flavorless. The acorn squash and salad were the best parts of the meal and that includes the dessert bar. I expected much better from The Grand Sierra Resort. Needless to say, we will not make that mistake again!
Nice rooms, although my slot machine luck wasn't happening!
This was our third year in a row attending a Chistmas show at GSR and my wife and I always love them. The showroom is beautiful. The performances are spectacular and the casino is very clean, pleasant and enjoyable . Highly recommend
Huge hotel, very comfortable. Sometimes lineups at the hotel restaurants are too long...
Great entertainment and food at GSR's New Years Bash! Outstanding!
Just wonderful service. Fabulous room (I could live there) excellent place for an adventure. Great for families.
Pleanty of things to do all around the resort. Clean rooms and good service.
The hotel is amazing, rooms are spacious and clean. The pool area is awesome and i love the volleyball courts. Food is great too.
We stayed on the concierge floor and the room was very nice it was nicely appointed and modern. The hotel was clean and had lots of restaurants to choose from. The pool was way to crowded with to many children for my taste, it was quite loud and not relaxing at all. I would have preffered a adults only section.
The resort had quite amount of things to do if you are not 21 and over. There is a pretty big bowling alley inside that is open 24/7 and from 2am-4am it is $2 for a game and $2 for shoe rental. They also have a fittness center but it is quite small. The pool and hot tub is open till 9pm. One thing that kind of took some time was the guest services. We need more towels and it took them about 20+ minutes for them to get to us. The shower was interesting in a good way. It was very big but had this weird shower drainer that would once in awhile make a loud farting noise when you are showering. There is a Starbucks and Johnny rocket located in the resort.
I have stayed here a couple of times. The amount of things to do on at this resort is unmatched! Movie theater, indoor golf, outdoor golf, kids arcade and playland, restaurants, gambling, and bowling!
This is a hotel I use for business travel while in Reno. Clean, convenient and close to the airport.
The remodeled pool area is nice. Lots of activities for the whole family. You can see a movie for cheap too! Their concert arena is nice and intimate. I would definitely go back to see a show. You can see from anywhere, even in the back row. The newer A tower rooms are nicely decorated and bright. Definitely recommend for families.
I always enjoy my stay here. This time my bathroom was missing a lightbulb, but it's pretty clean. Staff is always friendly.
My name is mayshawn Tate... This place served me bleach water as a drink. I drunk some without knowing of the bleach. My throat was burnt do to the Chemical In the cup. I contacted the management before I left and wrote a incident report. When I made it back to my hometown, I had to go to the doctor twice because of the chemical eating at my throat. I had to take a shots and at one point I couldn t swallow without pain. I contacted the management and they don t care. They said they lost the incident report so that just mean it never happened. Really? Only thing they care about is their money not the people. I would NEVER go to this place again. I could have died if I wasn t a healthy young man. They don t care about their Image as a company as long as the money coming in. The elevators don t work every few rides it s a possibility of you getting stuck on the elevator. I never seen a place so big and successful not care about the company itself. So money hungry that they lost the urge of being the best and taking care of the guest. I hate this place and if you re planning on staying here PLEASE don t. This could ve been you and do to some people medical this could ve kill somebody. They took this very lightly so I wouldn t be surprised if it happened again.
great place to sprint time Esther clone or with family
Even though it's far from everything it has plenty entertainment and activities
Beautiful resort, great mix of adult and child activities. Pool is the most beautiful I've ever seen.
Hotel is nice. We went to eat at the cafe which we had eaten lots of times before. Not very good. Only a couple of choices and food was blah. Didn't used to be that way.
I love this place!!! Wonderful casino, and resort. Everything you need!!!
For three years my daughter admired the GSR as we drove by. Finally I decided it was time for us to pay a visit and stay a few nights. I reserved my room for three nights and requested two queen sized beds. I did not know that if you request it, you don't necessarily get it. So, they tried to put my family of 4 in a room with one king bed. At check-in they asked if I "requested it or reserved it." Then the staff asks if I want to upgrade my room to a double queen room for $20 more a night. I said "No thank you. I'm happy with my original reservation with two queen beds." The gentleman then upgrades my room without the extra charge. When we entered the room there was trash here and there.
1. Straw cover papers shoved into the cushion of the chair.
2. Empty pudding cups left on the floor.
3. Cheetos smashed into the carpet
4. Dirty towel thrown on the shelf in the closet.
5. Beds that were a mess under the comforter.
6. Some sort of dried sauce smeared on the cover of the room service menu.
7. No extra toilet paper (only the roll on the dispenser).
8. The most hazard of all: a needle stuck in the ironing board in the closet and several opened safety pins on the floor.
After thinking about all of it, my husband decided to contact the front desk. The best they could do was send house keeping to clean the room and give us $25 off the reservation. Not acceptable GSR. I don't appreciate travelling 12 hours in a vehicle to arrive at a resort with sewing needles protruding from ironing boards at the eye level of my 5 year old daughter. Now, we are being moved to a similar room with a wet spot on the carpet floor 2 feet in diameter. At least there are no needles. It's midnight and I'm having to move rooms with my 5 year old and 7 month old in a casino resort that's been "Voted Best Hotel in Reno."
The next morning I spoke with another manager. He seemed genuinely concerned with the safety issues. He refunded me the resort fees for my entire stay ($29/night) and $50 food credit that could be used at the resort.
It's a monumental building but the gaming and servers I have questions on that.
Great place to stay for family huge arcade area, movie theater, bowling, remodeled swimming pool etc.
Been standing in line for 40 or more minutes. Line goes on behind. 2 checkin folks for 80+ people. Insane!
As always perfect! The new pool was amazing, the shops, the spa, everything was perfect! The car show was packed and everything was well organized as usual!
Oh my, you should see this place at Christmas! Wow!
They service in the bowling alley, pool & spa was horrible but other then that everything else was great
Nice hotel and great place to see a show but stay away from the the slots.
Updated large casino / hotel. Casino very nice, not too smokey. Several upscale restaurants which we did not try, coffee shop is very good although some may consider it a bit on the pricey side. I have stayed here in the past, much nicer now. Update is a success.
Nice place. Loved everything about it including the rooms, casino, restaurants and hot tubs. My suite was very nice. Already looking forward to another visit
Got rooms through travelocity at a great price. Rooms were pretty clean and beds were comfortable. Lots of activities for the kids on the lower level for about $12/kid. Loved the hot showers and mini fridge/microwave in the rooms we got.
My husband and I recently stayed there for our 25th wedding anniversary. We had never been to Reno and we were expecting a wonderful and tasteful time. What a waste of money. Don't get me wrong. It is a beautiful hotel to be sure, but it ends there. Highly over priced food with not much taste is being served daily at the Charlie Palmer restaurant. The employees are just about as dumb and unfriendly as they get. The linens were not clean. I found blood on my pillow case and on the sheets. Don't play Keno if Mo is working behind the counter. He really finds customers disdainful. And if you happen to go during the winter time and they brag about the new ice rink that they built, don't bother with that either. We went down stairs 3 times to give it a try and all three times we were told some excuse why we couldn't. So. We didn't go. We did catch an Uber to another hotel to play bingo and the driver told us that we should have stayed at the Peppermill. He said they had the best steak house and gambling. Who knew? Wish we did.
It's a big casino/hotel. Almost too big... watered down drinks.
It is a beautiful hotel and casino. The salmon and the food at your coffee shop is amazing. However the slots are lean I have been there many times and have never had luck like I do at the Atlantis and Peppermill. The new high-limit area was disappointing as they were far too few slot machines. At the high limit event on Saturday the 16th it was very chaotic and they could not find my offer. However I want to commend Troy Russell who is a professional and supportive individual. He is an asset to your Hotel!
I love this place... This is a more upscale environment. Compared to the casinos downtown!! I really enjoy this casino
Second time in 3 years I ate here. Different restaurant's and once again got sick. What is it about GSR food? Never eating there again. Atmosphere is great and good bars, but don't eat the food
The Grand Sierra Resort is a very good hotel and casino. The renovations couple years ago made it very elegant. I have everything you need in one building which makes it fun to have a weekend stay. They have a bowling alley, a movie theater, an awesome pool, Starbucks, and many delicious restaurants. The movie theaters great it's only a couple dollars this ticket. I would highly recommend checking it out!
Went to the bowling alley. Very fun. The place was clean and the attendants were very nice.
The GSR decided to open their pool and hot tubs to the public for free for the winter. The pools are awesome, and the tubs are nice and hot. The car is great and the nearby good options are convenient
Pool area great and updated but the new cushions on the pool chairs are already gross. Rooms need updating and we had to listen to a couple fighting all night on our first night. On the positive side there are lots of thing to do there...golf, video arcade, theater, spa. Would probably not stay there again
The rooms are beautiful, the pool area is gorgeous (pictured is the view from the hot tub) and I love that there is an adult only area. The only reason for the 4 star rating is that you have to walk through a smoky casino to check in.
The place is huge, really easy to get lost but lots of cool stuff to look at and do
Smoke everywhere. I know casinos are known for this but it was awful in this place, and the remodeling they were doing was also very disrupting.
Had dinner at the Cantina for the first time. Tried to order a margarita made without simple syrup. Received a frozen slush with simple syrup. Discussed with server and tried again. Failure. Halfway thru my meal I overheard a nearby guest trying fir the same thing and finally giving up. I recommend the grouper with black-bean hominy.
Everything in one Beautiful Building. Attentive employees!
Stayed in a newly renovated room! So very clean, nice fixtures & decor. Comfy beds. Nice sized room, too. Lots of counter space with a fridge & microwave. First time staying here and was very impressed! Stayed during the week so also got a great rate and worth every penny spent. LOTS of stuff to do here for all ages. Everything from shopping to bowling, movie theatre, restaurants, and much more. You really don't even need to leave the casino for anything. Only disappointment was that we didn't stay longer. I would definately stay here again!
Staff was absolutely incredible, especially after a long day of driving, and our reservation being delayed from a third party booking site. Beautiful hotel with awesome shows and a good casino. Highly recommend!
I've only stayed one night so far but initial impression is very positive. The staff have been extremely friendly, including check-in, housekeeping, gamers club, shops, and valet. The summit rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The smoke smell is pretty much non-existent in the casino, which is huge for someone with asthma. The food at the buffet and the cafe were both exceptional. Based on these experiences, I would happily return to this hotel.
It's one of the newer and cleaner casinos in Reno. Rooms are nice. Nothing to write home about but I stayed in a basic 1st level room. I'll definitely be back when the threat of COVID 19 has reduced.
Great casion, friendly staff and comfortable rooms.
I ll start by saying that the Spa is 5 stars, and so is the wine bar/restaurant really good food must try. One star rating if for room cleanliness they just need to do better!
This place is amazing love it just love everything about it. Nice pool great attractions FUN
Very nice place.great buffet. Shopping, and gambling! The one improvement needed is cocktail waitresses! It is almost impossible to get a drink when your gambling ..great place other than that
Really nice. Looked classy the rooms were modern. The reason it is not 5 stars is because the Beds weren't very comfortable and the tv channels didn't have great reception so on the best parts of the show I was watching it kept cutting out.
It was very very nice, beautiful and relaxing. I really enjoyed it and hope to come back some day
We had A Blast.
We Lost our Butts but they COMPED us a BEAUTIFUL SUITE for the night.
It was A Great Treat !
It is a spectacular facility. Many activities, shops, restaurants, etc. It is brightly colored and upbeat atmosphere in the gambling area. We went to walk around to kill time before a flight out of town.
Location is good. There are lots of activities to do like golf swim etc. Interior is nicely decorated and service is friendly and quick.
Very nice casino. Lots of fun and new slot machines, good food, and helpful staff. It is rather far away from all the other attractions, but that's also the appeal and since it has everything you could need right there you don't miss a thing! Rooms are comfortable, and the theater (we saw a show) is very large and nice.
Shannon and her leadership team have the cleanest and most elegant resort in Northern Nevada. I felt completely at ease visiting GSR with their numerous public health precautions. Love the lobby chandelier! Great job.
The casino was great, but the theater is a 3 star. Chairs were a bit old and people are loud while watching. No one supervising to tell them to be quiet.
