Didn't go into the resort, just played golf and got drinks after. Course was great despite having 2 of the 9s closed (makes sense in the summer). Fairways and greens were in great condition and play was fairly smooth. Restaurant had your typical bar food with a fancier twist. Bartenders were friendly and attentive

Food was great as was the service. We were directed to a place to smoke cigars that was later deemed non smoking and accosted by security. Not sure that's how you want to treat repeat customers.

Rooms can be on the smaller side but outstanding customer service and the beautiful campus make up for it above and beyond. The small water park they have is great for familys and kids, well equipped and clean gym. Plus its next to all kinds of stuff to do. All in all, probably one of the better resorts in the valley.

Worst customer service ever! Hotel fully booked and moved in another hotel although we had a confirmation number. And on top saying our reservation was last week... Really a big joke. After 9 years of international travel it happened the first time to me. I will never ever stay here again.

Two local Phoenicians came here for birthday celebrations at the spa. Wow. What a disappointment on service. After being told to go to the pool, we were seated only to be kicked out and told to go to spa pool only (which we were NEVER told was upstairs). The spa pool was an awful slab of concrete with noisy generators and no ambiance. I will say, my service with Dawn was the best massage I ve ever had! After massages, we went to Thirsty Camel so we wouldn t have to go back to the spa pool. Service here should be top of the line. Far from it. After 15 minutes with no service, we chose to order from the bar. Chris got us a glass of wine, but our cheese board NEVER arrived. We will definitely be returning to Camelback Inn spa by JW Marriott. Super disappointing at the Phoenician.

My rating is -1000
Maxwell D Kenny has to be one of the rudest most arrogant and condescending people I ve ever come in contact with. He was also quite nasty and rude to my wife and used many vulgar words.
Clearly the hotel management profession is not for Maxwel.

Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. The front gate greeted us with a Happy Anniversary (the front desk alerted them). Our room was spacious and comfortable. One nice touch was the art work. The grounds are spectacular, literally an oasis in the desert. Great access to the hiking trail heads for Camelback. J&G steakhouse was an amazing place to enjoy a romantic dinner; amazing views.

The whole resort is beautiful and feels rightfully upscale all the way through. I was in for a conference and stayed out in the casitas, which feel a little more livable than the more hotel-style rooms in the main building. They're pretty far from the main building though which is a bit of a pain walking back and forth for events during the day, but it's possible to call the front office and get a ride to and from. While I definitely wouldn't be able to afford this for personal travel it was still an excellent stay.

Nicely remodeled lobby. View of skyline is unbeatable. Staff is very pleasant and professional. Good is top notch in all the restaurants. J&B's was terrific with excellent service. Thirsty Camel had been excellently remodeled with a more open and modern feel.

This is place is the place to stay when in Scottsdale. This resort is absolutely loaded. You will be able to find something to do here for sure. The Phoenician has tennis courts, bikes to rent, a golf course, a driving range, a spa, pools and a jacuzzi, amazing breakfast, and much much more. It is also centrally located. Anyone on the resort will have a prime view of CamelBack Mountain. There are lots of great places to eat around the hotel. The Phoenician is a great place to stay to simply relax or to stay when on the go. But make sure you keep at least a day to explore the resort.

First time here for me - we arrived at 10am and they convinced us to take an "upgrade" to a residence rather than separate rooms. We were hesitant but said okay AS LONG AS it would be ready ASAP (i.e. cleaned immediately upon checkout) because we were already there and brought our dog, I.e. we couldn't go enjoy a lot of the resort spaces until our dog was set up in the room. We made it clear that just getting rooms early was our top priority.

6 HOURS later, and numerous conversations and phone calls later after leaving the property for lunch and then just basically sitting on benches waiting to get rooms and enjoy the resort, we are finally in our villa. Despite their multiple assurances and statements they did not prioritize the room with housekeeping and we weren't able to get in. No apologies, no complimentary drinks or anything to try to make up for making false promises. Basically we took off work and flew in early for nothing. We will likely not be returning. TERRIBLE customer service.

The Phoenician is a great resort located right up against Camelbaxk mountain. It has amazing views in all directions. It is clean and the staff are courteous and professional. They gave my nieces free stuffed Phopho bunnies, which was very sweet. The food is quite good and the rooms are very nice.

Pretty sure this hotel has bed bugs. My wife and i had bites everywhere and continued to itch for our 5 night stay. The $20 a day to park is a complete joke as well when you re staying at the hotel! Bed bugs are no joke, clean up!

Peak of class and service. Even though there was an issue with the room- they sent a while team to move us and our new room had champagne and snacks. Beautiful grounds- I encourage the camelback hike- you don t have to do the whole thing :)

My family and I would always go here for the 4th of July, and every time, there was a problem with getting the rooms. However, once that giant hurdle was out of the way, it was a good experience. I'm still probably not coming back again.

To be honest, our stay warrants 3 stars or less, but I'm giving four, because I know it's not typical, and our issues are only temporary problems that don't deserve a permanent bad review. Still pretty annoyed, though... See, when we booked our stay, we were not made aware that a large portion of the amenities were under renovation. We packed our swimsuits expecting the beautiful pool and splash pad (for our daughter) featured in pictures of the resort to be available. We didn't find out until check-in that all the amenities we planned on were under renovation. Not only this, but the main entrance to the hotel was also under renovation, so we had to use a side entrance that forced us to walk... and walk... and walk... to our room that was almost literally the furthest away we could have been. Arriving late at night with a sleeping infant and 2-year-old who both needed to be carried back to our room was a huge pain because of this. Our walk would have been almost cut in half had the main entrance to the hotel been available. We were not offered anything to make up for the inconvenience, and the only reason we continued our stay was because my husband's company had already paid for our room, and we had plenty we wanted to do off the hotel property anyway. All that said, the hotel and resort are lovely and well kept, the rooms are very nice, and the beds were very comfortable. Had the resort not been under renovation, I'm sure it would have been a perfect stay.

The place are beautiful and pretty, and it huge. Me and my fiance wanted to host a wedding there, but the place are too big and we got a small amount of guess. So we decided not to go with the place, but still love the place.

Hotel is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are large. The bed was super comfortable and luxurious! The view from our patio overlooking the pools was amazing. Drinks are a tad bit overpriced with small servings. The only negative thing I could say is the music they played at night by the pool was loud, weird and distracting. It would have been nice for it to be quieter to just enjoy the property.
