Great hotel. I would say you get your money s worth here, with plenty to do on site, and lots of restaurants and entertainment in walking distance. My only complaint is that the beds are too soft for me, but that s really not a big deal. There was a great selection of food, drinks and activities for the whole family. I would definitely recommend staying here if you don t mind paying a little extra.

The wife and I stayed here for four nights over Columbus Day weekend. We liked everything about this place. Our room was spacious and modern, although we didn't have a great view - we overlooked the driveway leading up to the main entrance. The pool areas are nice - we had no trouble getting lounge chairs under the umbrellas. The small restaurant near the pool had very good fish tacos. We ate at the Marketplace every morning. Here you can get a quick breakfast to go which we ate at the outside tables overlooking the fountain near the hotel entrance. The hotel is next to Camelback Mountain and behind the hotel is a very beautiful and unusual cactus and sculpture garden. The fitness center looks brand new and has the latest equipment, including Peleton bikes. My wife enjoyed her massage at the spa. They have a terrific tennis facility. I took two lessons with Niles - a great tennis instructor - I highly recommend. Service at the hotel is top notch - they have a great staff. I used the Bonvoy app one evening to request more toilet paper and it was delivered in under five minutes. Very impressive. The hotel is located only about 10 minutes by car from the Old Town area of Scottsdale which has many art galleries and great restaurants. We can't wait to come back here. Go.

The tennis facility here is brand new an unrivaled in The Valley. Finally found my new spot to play. Had a lesson with a tennis pro named Dan and it was the best session I've ever had with an instructor. I learned more in one hour with him than in I did in my last twenty lessons at my old club. I watched him coach some excellent high school players while I waited. Would definitely recommend sending your kid here as well.

Great resort with great service. They have lot of activities going on throughout the day. Multiple places to eat, restaurants or the marketplace. Multiple pools, including an adults only pool. Their spa is very relaxing. Include seveal free activities such as golf driving range, tennis courts, basketball court, and indoor playroom. Their golf course is also very nicely maintained. Overall a great experience and highly recommended.

I travel for work and usually stay at Courtyards, and I have to say this one was one of the best! The hotel was clean and welcoming, and the food at the bistro was delicious. The manager Desiree Clark, as well as the front desk staff, went above and beyond and truly made the stay perfect. They were absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend staying at this location!!!

My group had an evernt at the Canyon Suites meeting rooms. I had never been to the property before, bit it was stunning! The service staff was very friendly from the valets to the servers to the meeting planners. The food was excellent and the professionalism of everyone I interacted with was exceptional. The room we were in was comfortable. One strange thing was that the bathroom attached to the meeting room had a tub and a shower... I'm not sure why...

The place is beautiful and the service is incredible. They will treat you like royalty, and you will feel that way. Never had such a great experience staying at a hotel before. They raised the bar for all other five star hotels.

Was attending an event where room was included in ticket price. Definitely had a vibe of "too rich for my blood" but was lackong in some of the most practical ways. Like the only fridge is a mini bar, and no microwave or coffee maker. Meh. Whatever the cost was for the room part of the package deal, I can guarantee I wouldn't spend it on a room here.

Just checked out from our first stay at the Phoenician. We have stayed at most resorts in the area and this resort has stood out. From the moment we arrived service was impeccable. Every single staff member was genuinely kind and helpful and all had sincere smiles on their faces.
The resort just went through major renovations and the rooms, grounds and pool are are beautiful. This just may be our new favorite Phoenix resort.

We took a tour of the Phoenician with my college. It is amazing! The views are stunning and it is absolutely breathtaking, it deserves its five diamond rating. It had one of the only fully function pastry kitchens, with a second kitchen devoted to the pastry itself.

The views were amazing and the atmosphere top notch. Live entertainment in the lobby was exquisite. Service was impeccable and the rooms were luxurious. This was beyond 5 Star and more than a Luxury Hotel. This was a Luxury Resort!

The Phoenician is a 5-star resort, from the moment you walk in the door to the staff's overall attitude to serve and help. I attended a conference and stayed over 3-days and would absolutely recommend this hotel for either. Top tier, high end, pricey but worth it

The rooms are large and spacoous. The staff is super helpful and very professional. I didn't get to try many of the amenities due to massive reconstruction projects going on. Even with the construction, the resort was very quiet.

Absolutely beautiful hotel! We went the patio just off the lobby for late night appetizers and drinks and the service was IMPECCABLE. The food and drinks were good too, but we were just so impressed with every single person that touched our table.

A great location and their Concierge desk without exception is absolutely amazing!!!!

The service from the hotel guest service department however, is severely lacking!!!!!!

An example of horrible service: I forgot my toiletry kit in my room upon check out. While not the hotels fault in anyway, I called and they retrieved it for me. I had moved hotels for the night as I was on a business trip inspecting other properties after my conference.

I asked if they could send it to me down the street (approx 10 minutes by car - $6.50 by Lyft or Uber). They said no problem and asked how I wanted to pay the $130.00 charge for sending it. I was told that they could only send it by limo that charged by the hour and there was no other option. I called Lyft, who then picked it up from the concierge for me and delivered it to me at my new hotel. Total cost for me approx $12.00.

Just think of the good will they lost out on and what the review would have been like had they actually thought outside of the box. I recommend hotels because of the service they provide my guests! This is not a hotel I will ever recommend because of the shortsightedness they had.

I am first to say that it is too bad, that such a beautiful hotel in a great location, failed so miserably at their customer service.

Incredibly frustrating experience here. As a Starwood member for many years I have accumulated lots of Starwood points and called the resort one week prior to my stay to inquire about using Starwood points to pay for various incidentals, meals etc. I was assured I would be able to be the front desk manager. When I got here I was told I couldn t do to a systems issue and told to call corporate, who was also unhelpful. When I stressed that I would have stayed at one of the many other Marriott/starwood properties on site the front desk manager shrugged and appeared to have zero concern. Terrible service and dishonest staff based on the fact that I got a different answer to the same question within a one week time frame

This was our first trip to the Phoenix area. The Phoenician Resort was the perfect oasis! All of the staff were so kind and thoughtful. The rooms and grounds are beautifully kept. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast each morning. We had a lovely, relaxing stay - our best experience ever!

Excellent course with great views of the valley. If you get to choose a course to play out of the three nines they have, definitely play the desert course. You get to hit several times off of Camelback Mountain. The other two are much different. Oasis speaks for itself and is definitely the toughest out of the three. Canyon is also great with a lot of hills and elevation changes. After your round, make sure to grab a bite to eat at relish. Their burgers are AMAZING!!!

The number of female solo travelers has skyrocketed, but amid Instagram-worthy escapades are tales of violence and death, raising questions about how the world is greeting women who travel alone.

Spent over $1,600 on two rooms to come back to my room and find a family of rodents living under the bed. Judging by the front desk s cavalier response, this is a recurring issue so check under your bed before falling asleep at the Phoenician...

The staff was very helpful out by the pool area. Helped us with our towels, chairs and umbrellas.
The rooms are nice, but extremely expensive. We ate a light lunch by the pool and the prices were outrageous. I wouldn't go back.

Superb stay while attending a confernce. We enjoyed the amenities and were thrilled with the level of consistent service we received. We stayed with our 2 children (3 + 6) and they were beyond thrilled with the activities that were available to them. We enjoyed the fact that this resort welcomes families but does not feel like a 'family resort'. The dining options were plentiful, the pool area was fabulous and the location is in close proximity to Old Town Scottsdale. We would absolutely stay here again with our family but also look forward to returning on a adult/couples only trip. My only 'complaint' is that you have to completely empty the mini-fridge in the room in order to use it (as it comes fully stocked with all sorts of snacks and beverages). We had some fruit and light snacks for our children and my efforts to have the mini-fridge emptied and collected for our personal use came unanswered by hotel staff so the contents of the fridge were taking up space on the dresser and looked unsightly.

Delicious! Impeccable service and atmosphere. My only complaint is the dessert at the tea service. It focused too much on presentation but taste was lacking. Too sweet. Simple flavoring.

The Marketplace is a hidden gem. Great stop when cycling through PV or just for a coffee stop. The pastries are really worth the trip (although they are hidden from view, make sure you walk out the interior door to see the display!)
Service is great and there are tables to sit at. So nice!

Really expensive resort. So many additional charges per night it was insane. It came out to nearly $350 per night!

Tried cocktails at multiple bars throughout the property, stick to the basics because the specialty cocktails are terrible.

Food was average, I think the kitchen really enjoys red onions because basically every dish had them.

I had a charge of $65.47 attached to my hotel bill from 11/17/17 for lunch at a restaurant on the property while I was on a plane headed back home that took 3 months to resolve. Countless phone calls and voicemails left for accounting and no one returned even one of my calls. How did I fix it you ask? I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company because The Phoenician didn't feel like refunding me. They were too busy to return my calls.

There are better resorts in the area that are not only a better value but provide better service. The stay, food and beverage and the grounds were just ok.

Was here for a business event and the staff at the Phoenician made it amazing. From their bartending and hospitality team, servers, and general event management we always felt very welcome and cared for. The rooms were a great size, didn't feel cramped hanging out for a couple of hours. A lot of people from our event would hike/run up Camelback in the morning so the location is great for that, and very convenient for access to the mall and Oldtown Scottsdale.
