I have been very impressed by the work provided by the Remediation Group (RGI). My condo unit flooded due to a sprinkler accident. Our management company called the team at RGI and they showed up very shortly after my unit had flooded. The RGI team showed genuine concern for helping me through my situation and advised me throughout the process. They have rebuilt my condo better than ever. I would highly recommend RGI to help address your home restoration needs should you ever experience flooding or fire related issues.

Very nice people to work with... very prompt and always helpful with all our reconstruction.... Rob and his team helped us complete all the work in time and with very high quality.. Will definitely contact them if we plan to do any upgrades in future.
The work that Remediation Group did for me was excellent and pain free. They came to my home and did a very professional and complete inspection and guided me step by step on what I need to look out for, what they could do and what they couldn't, and got a very good education on mold in general. From the moment I submitted my first request to their last report they took a very stressful situation and make it easy to get through. I highly recommend Remediation Group and should I ever need them for a future home, I will most certainly use them again. Thank you!
Do NOT use! They left our room in shambles and said they were too busy to send their reconstruction team out. Not helpful at all! If I could do it over again, I'd definitely go with another remediation company!!!
I am very disappointed by Remediation Group Inc. They started working at our rental property to fix the water damage in master bathroom on Novemeber 2, 2015 and have not completed the job yet as of May 16, 2016. Instead we are getting change orders asking for more payments. We are suffering income loss, tenant moved out because of their prolonged work. Very very unprofessional, nonresponsive - $13550 paid to date. Loss of money, effort and stressed out .
My experience working with the Remediation Group was a 5-star experience from start to finish! They responded promptly when we noticed that we had a leak and gave a comprehensive evaluation that outlined the entire process and explained all the possible scenarios for work/outcomes and then got to work quickly.
Their staff was very knowledgeable and approachable! I work from home and their work crew was always polite, prompt, and personable!! My dogs loved having them in the house and I appreciated how comfortable and great they were around my dogs.
This was my first time working with a remediation company, but as far as I am concerned if I or anyone I know has a remediation need, my business and referrals belong to The Remediation Group.
Keep up the great work!! Atlanta is lucky to have such a great service provider!
I recently had a water and mold issue in my basement. It was extensive. I contacted Remediation Group and Reuben was my point man. He stepped in the same night and got his crew out there and securing my property. It's been an absolutely seamless experience. I cannot say enough about Alec M. the general manager for the re-construction crew. He has been exceptional. Always prompted and responsive. He has consistently keep me in the loop and updated on the progress. The basement looks GREAT!!!!! MUCH BETTER THAN I HAD HOPED. And kept me IN BUDGET. I will definitely call them again and again if needed. Kudos to all the staff and thanks Betsy for keeping me on track as well. Mrs. Duckett.
Remediation Group came out for an estimate on some drywalling we needed done. They came out on a Wednesday and promised us an estimate on Friday. The following Monday I emailed them since I had not received an estimate, they told me to expect one by Wednesday. Tuesday I received an email from Loren telling me they were no longer accepting jobs in my building. This would have been nice to know before taking off work to meet them?! I'm not sure what changed within that week but since I have seen Remediation Group at my complex since then I imagine the job wasn't large ($$$) enough for them. Very unprofessional. Not the kind of people I'd ever want to work with.
These guys are scam artists, they get you to sign a contract scaring you of mold and then you can t your personal insurance company to cover it and you are stuck with the bill
We contracted RGI after a flood occurred in our home January 2014. The scope of work entailed remediation and reconstruction. Ross was the project manager assigned to us. We cannot say enough about how much we appreciate Ross' professionalism and dedication to each task needing to be completed. His leadership and ownership of the project mirrored our own from the beginning. While there were definitely a few hiccups along the way regarding subcontractors, Ross was always available to take our calls or meet us at the house to discuss solutions and, ultimately, resolve the issue in a timely manner. It is difficult to find people to trust with something as important and personal as our home, but we are grateful for Ross' friendly and genuine approach to our relationship throughout our time working together. It was wonderful working with Ross and RGI. Thank you so much. We will definitely call and/or recommend Ross and this company in the future if ever needed.
DO NOT let the urgency of the salesman "mold happens within hours!!!" press you into signing authorizations - you will regret. I made the mistake of signing on with them before looking into other companies. First let me say... my final conversation with the PM Keith he said that they typically do not deal directly with the home owner - that they usually deal with the insurance company directly and can pretty much do what they want.. because my situation was a bit different and that I was involved, they were not a fit for this job because I was too smart to let them get away with it I had a small water leak that resulted from a bad dishwasher install... when discovered, I immediately called the Remediation group to come out. There were at my home within hours... told me I need to hurry and get this fixed... had me sign a contract.. then began the work the next day. I was highly impressed at how quickly they got started.... That, of course quickly went away with all of the confusion, redirecting my call, and not following through on conversations and email. They ripped out the hardwood floors in my kitchen, removed the cabinets (that weren't even touched by the water) removed and broke the counter tops.... Then vanished for 3 weeks... I was also going to have them do the reconstruction so there would be one company responsible for everything... ANOTHER HUGE mistake... the staff did not communicate with each other... there were multiple folks responsible for individual portions of the work that never got done... over a month past and still nothing was done except for ripping out the damaged floor and cabinets... I could go on and on about how BAD this company is, but it's just making me angry... Long story short - $14,000.00 in cost plus 3 months later AND I still do not have a functional kitchen thanks to the Remediation group.
Remediation Group was very responsive in handling damage experienced in my condo due to another resident issue. They worked quickly to remove the damaged area. They did an excellent job with the final repair work. I did experience some issues related to billing; however, they did an exceptional job resolving them and working with me to reach a positive experience.
We were very upset when we discovered our house had mold. We have twin 15 month old girls and their health was our primary concern. We identified three contractors to provide mold remediation services. Mold Remediation Group being one of them. I met with Michael one of their sales people and was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. Michael took the time to explain their process and was very reassuring that our house could be restored to a healthy state.
Unfortunately we did not hire Mold Remediation Group. We naively tried to save a few bucks and ended up paying for that decision. The other contractor sprayed some chemical, ran air scrubbers and supposedly HEPA vacuumed the affected area. Once the work was done our environmental testing company confirmed our worst fear, the mold was still there and basically appreared to be untouched. We immediately picked up the phone to call Mold Remediation Group to finish the job. They have been awesome to work with! Everyone has taken the time to explain things throughout the process and make sure we were comforyable, something we appreciated after getting burned with the first contractor. We would definitely recommend Mold Remediation Group! As the old saying goes you get what you pay for and we learned thar the hatd way. If you have a mold problem don't make the same mistake we made, hire the experts at mold rem group first!
RGI helped decontaminate my personal belongings after they grew mold due to a malfunctioning air conditioner. They were amazing to work with. They worked based on my schedule and were efficient and professional. The crew was fabulous and would allow me to assist in anyway. When they were done, they left the area cleaner then when they got there. True professionals!
My basement was flooded during a water meter repair which went horribly wrong. After almost four days of drying out, I was told that I needed to find someone to do the repairs. I contacted Remediation Group and was pleased to find that they would provide an estimate. Although I am waiting on the county, I am impressed with the professionalism and service I have already received. The company was thorough and timely with the appointment and estimate. Hopefully the repair and replacement can begin soon.
Foolery. From my experience, they don't do remediation work that doesn't include other work. I witness RGI come in and jack up the costs to line their pockets and make it a larger project. And when the work was limited to remediation only, they werent interested. Zero accountability or reliability. Details and email from RGI included below.
----- * ----- * ----- * ----- * ----- * ----- * Unit above me had water damage and I used a seperate company to do the emergency service work. I called RGI to do recon.
They sent a technician that put the fear of God in my tenant. He claimed remediation wasn't done correclty and that tenant should NOT live there. (Why he didn't call me when on-site and speak to me still baffles me. The owner, Fred, was made aware of this mis-step and has yet to call back...)
This (inapprpriately delivered) news meant that before I could proceed with recon, we would first need additional remediation/clean-up. I worked with Drew on how environmental cleanup will impact the recon timeline/costs. I worked with Drew on this and he attempted to "fix it" despite Fred's lack of communication about his employee speaking with my tenant.
Drew drafted a project timeline and work was supposed to begin Monday "morning". I agreed to paying deposits and look forward to seeing this "hazardous" cleanup begin.
Prior to their crew showing up Monday morning, I decided to use RGI for clean-up and recon and I replaced their (third-party) HVAC/plumbing guy with my own since my units were under warranty. RGI viewed this as "pulling the rug out from under them". HOW??!? I had HVAC and plumbing removed at 4am and ready for their cleanup crew to beging work Monday morning. Instead, on Day 1 the crew was at an emergency site and my work was put off since HVAC/plumbing was done by my guys. SMH.
RGI crew never showed up. They wanted assurance that they would do recon work after clean up. All of the sudden, doing remediation work alone was under their budget. I insisted they do one job right first and then move on to the recon and they lost all interest in doing the work. To pull their leg out, this is the email they sent me:
Hello
RGI has a minimum charge of $2,500. I m already under that. I had your whole timeline laid out on Friday to make this job run smooth until you pulled the rug out from us at 4am on the day we were supposed to start. This job was simple. I understand you used our estimates to get insurance money and now are trying to get it done cheaper. That s all fine and dandy but not how Remediation Group operates. Remediation Group will not be able to service you. I am sorry if this creates stress for you but it was of your own doing. Good Luck.
The Remediation Group was extremely professional during a challenging time for my family after discovering mold in our home. In particular, Jimmy went above and beyond making sure communication was open and available. The job was very well done and as timely as possible. I would absolutely recommend them if you are so unlucky to need them.
This company took care of me and my Buckhead condo like true professionals. They are very familiar with insurance claims, I see why my condo board as them on speed dial and I'm glad that I listen to them. Big up to Loren, Alec, Keith, Todd, and Chantay. I hope my condo is never damaged like it was, but if so I know who to call. Thanks guys.
We ve used Remediation Group for four floods in seven years both residential and commercial. This last flood happened at 4:00am in our place of business. We called and they quickly responded getting everything dry while we continued to operate our business. Everything was dry within two days and we had no down time! They were flexible to work around operating hours to reinstall our heavy rubbber floor mats. Jason and Cesar were faced with a challenge and quickly adapted so they could finish the install to open our doors on time. I can not say enough good things about the professionalism and reliability of everybody I ve worked with over the years! Thank you Remediation Groyp for making a stressful situation as pain free as possible.
We had a washing machine flood our upstairs. The first crew came in quickly and started the clean up by removing anything wet and drying systems. They cleaned around the area put up containment walls that keep the rest of our house clean and livable. They came by and checked everyday as caring and professional as the first day they got there. Unfortunately this was not our first flood in a home but I only wish they had helped us the first time. The difference in the response, quality and care is superior to any other company we have dealt with. Thank you so much! You made a stressful and inconvenient mess manageable. We are thankful for your staff and care. They also met with us and our insurance adjuster and ask questions I would have never thought of and made sure we didn t have damage we didn t see that could be a problem later. It s hard to think when your home is a mess and great to have professional guidance.
We have worked with Remediation Group twice over the past year when properties we manage suffered major water damage due to ruptured supply lines. We couldn't have asked for better service than what we received from Remediation Group. Their speed and quality of work is unmatched as is their professionalism.
We had a great experience at the beginning and the end, there was a bump in the road in the middle big the owner Fred was quick to step up to the plate and provided great customer service and quickly addressed the issues we had.
Remediation Group is awesome! I live in a high rise condo in Midtown and my neighbor's refrigerator leaked and the water damaged his floors, the wall in between our units and my floors. Fred Rodriguez the CEO, Drew Sorensen the Field Manager and Brandon Alcala the Mitigation Supervisor & Quality Assurance guy were already onsite when I got home from work that day. They were trying to keep the water from doing more damage. Fred got on the phone with my insurance company, USAA and got the ball rolling. This happened on a Tuesday and by Friday, the damaged floors were already ripped up and they put 3 very large fans in my place and a few in the hallway to dry up as much water as they could. They put plastic from floor to ceiling around the damaged floors to keep the dust from going everywhere and to keep my 2 cats out of the construction. My cats found their way in the construction area several days later, but they had a good time clawing at the plastic. Keith Fazekas is the Project Manager and supervised the floor guys. Loren Mulville the Senior Reconstruction Account Manager talked with me about my floor budget. They work with Brent Baker in Sales Management at Surfis Group. He went the extra mile to find some nicer floors than what I had chosen for a price within the budget. He found this deal fast and came over and measured to make sure I didn't order too many materials. They literally finished laying the floors in one day! Chantay Griffin the Collections Specialist kept me informed of the payment process and has such a great phone voice and personality. Crystal Hall the Contract Coordinator helped with scheduling a time for me to move back in my place after all the work was complete. Everyone I have dealt with has been nice and professional. They are all so down to earth and personable. They packed up all my furniture and moved it out to a storage unit while the dry wall, paint and new floors were put down. I went over there almost every night after work to see the progress and I was amazed at how neatly they packed and wrapped my stuff up and also how clean my place was after all the work was complete. They even fixed the top of my wall where the previous painter had messed it up back in 2010 when I moved in. They finished everything so fast and worked hard to get me back in my condo ASAP. They also took $6,000 off the final quote, which was very nice because that way we didn't have to get the master insurance policy involved. They are trustworthy, reliable and dependable and even my insurance adjuster said that the final price was reasonable. They got the job done right and fast. Fred even took time out of his busy schedule to come to my building for a water mitigation meeting and educate people on how to keep water damage from happening and explained the process. I highly recommend Remediation Group and they do remodeling as well. Thank you so much everyone at Remediation Group for your hard work and getting the job done well! I got a freshly painted wall and beautiful new engineering hard wood floors. Just getting those two things done makes my place look brand new. You all rock and I will pass your name along to anyone who needs your services in the future! Remediation Group gets 5 Stars and an A++ in customer service and satisfaction from me!
I had a wonderful experience working with the team at Remediation Group from the beginning to end of my project. Unfortunately, while away on business, I experienced a water leak in my unit from the top floor. Alec and his team worked around my schedule, coordinated with my adjuster and was attentive to any concerns I had. I enlisted their services for mitigation and wall/ Sheetrock repair and painting. They went above and beyond to keep me looped into the process every step of the way with daily email updates (huge plus). The Remediation Group is very professional, organized, detailed-oriented and punctual. I would definitely recommend them without hesitation.
I don't recommend this company. I was subcontractor and I get pay until I go directly with home owner. They have people working don't know nothing about construction issues...
Remediation Group (Drew and his team) dealt with clean up of my home crawlspace - their customer service, responsiveness, attention to detail, documentation were all great - and for the right price - the house passed a clean air test by an independent contractor. Highly recommend them!
The Remediation Group was fantastic. They dealt with difficult issues and were extremely responsive to our needs. They respected our home and most importantly, got rid of the mold. I would recommend Fred, Dudley, and Drew to anyone in need of mold remediation.
Everyone involved in the process did an excellent job. Extremely professional and quality was great. they worked well with the insurance company throughout the process. We are very pleased....
I wanted to recognize the significant efforts of The Remediation Group and specific personnel at The Remediation Group involving an extensive insurance loss to a custom finished, historical home in Ansley Park. When I contacted The Remediation Group, they arrived at the house within 30 mins of my call. They arrived with a crew of well trained and very prepared personnel that helped me process what was needed to open a claim with my insurance company and mitigate any further loss. Once my insurance adjustor was assigned, they had a team of experts in various departments at The Remediation Group at my house to meet with my insurance adjustor. These team members were very knowledgable and already had a plan of action to start things moving along. My loss involved water mitigation, mold remediation, addressing structural issues, and reconstruction. The Remediation Group handled all facets of my claim and had crews consistently scheduled to keep the project moving in the right direction. Of note, I d like to mention that Jimi Broderick, as Vice President of The Remediation Group, had multiple conversations with my insurance adjustor which assisted reclassifying the claim which afforded a broader scope of coverage based on initial misclassification. Jimi s knowledge about construction and policy is vast and proved that he can make a very compelling case for reclassification. Also to mention, Neal Maddox as the in-house adjustor for The Remediation Group, has an extensive knowledge in his field and is a vital asset in his role. Neal had a solid professional relationship with my insurance adjustor and was very compelling throughout the claim for broader coverage based upon the identification of hidden areas of damage and the need for additional funds. Due to the high end nature of the finishes in the house, Neal was also able to expand allotted basic coverage which was initially approved by the insurance company to what was needed to restore the property to a pre-loss level. The Remediation Group successfully worked with multiple subcontractors throughout the claim and I appreciated the quality of work that was rendered. Overall, I could not have handled this process on my own. The Remediation Group is keenly trained to handle all aspects of property loss and has the right personnel in place to assist the homeowner in negotiations with their insurance adjustor. I hope to never have another loss again; however if I do, I would not hesitate to contact The Remediation Group to assist with matters.
The team did a very good job in the reconstruction of my condo unit after it suffered a huge water damage due to a frozen pipe and Mr. Owzarski was very courteous and helpful in every way. The only complaint is that the job progressed extremely slowly. It took almost seven months to finish the job.
When I called Remediation Group out to assess the damage to my home, they came out the next day. After the initial visit, they wasted no time getting a team on site to dry the water out of my house. I really appreciate how quickly the team jumped in to help. I actually hired them to do my restoration work so I will keep you posted on my progress.
RGI did a highly professional job of drying out the water damage from a broken pipe in our bathroom and remediating the resulting mold. We greatly appreciated RGIs expertise in providing this service.
My HVAC leaked all over the basement for days (I had no idea). RGI came in and dried everything and removed damaged items... very quick, very professional. I definitely recommend them!
After finding out I had mold in the basement of my home, I got three estimates and decided to go with Remediation Group due to their great customer service. Initially, all of my questions were answered quickly by Dudley, estimator, via email or phone calls. After I contracted and paid half for the work to be completed, customer service was horrible. I assume it was because I live in TX and was not there in GA to oversee the work, but that should NOT have been the case. Shannon was suppose to be completing the work; however, weeks went by and I did not hear from the company so I decided to call. I was told that an email had been sent to me weeks prior stating more mold had been found and I needed to authorize the change order. Well...I never received the email and why could they not have called me. When I finally spoke to Shannon, he apologized profusely because I had decided to get someone else to finish the work. So, I decided to give them another chance. What a BIG mistake. I decided to go to GA and see the work that had been done already only to find my house had been left unsecure and my front loaded washer and dryer had been stolen as well as mud throughout the house and doors scratched up. I immediately contacted Shannon, but Fred, the owner, answered his phone to tell me he no longer worked for the company. Unfortunately, I started off with a reasonable contract, but ended up with a new estimate costing $2000 more than what I had been quoted, over $1000 loss of washer and dryer, a a dirty house with trash to haul off. The contaminated items from the basement and the workers outfits were left in my garage partially covered in plastic and in garbage bags. Mold was still prevalent in the areas to be remediated and vents still covered with blue tape. Needless to say, I am pursuing a refund as the mold which I hired them to remediate was still in the basement because they could not complete the contract until I authorized them to complete the additional work. I did initially authorize them to complete the additional work which was suppose to be another $1100 based on Shannon's estimate, but Dudley's estimate was way higher. Dudley said Shannon had done a crappy job based on where he should be at that stage and I could get a refund, but Fred overruled him and said I could get a partial refund. He recanted his story. Unfortunately, the accountant called and said I owed them more money now. Funny....The way I look at it is a company should complete the work based on the contract that I paid them to do before asking for more money. Then if I am completely satisfied, we will discuss further work. I definitely would not recommend this company and totally regret I ever entrusted the repairs of my home to them. I have filed a credit card dispute and a complaint with the BBB to try and get a resolution.
i have used Remediation Group on several occasions for my homes and business. Very profession, on time, prompt in responding to my calls. They helped me through the difficult process with dealing with insurance company. finally, the finished product of they repairs was top notch. I highly recommend!
