Foolery. From my experience, they don't do remediation work that doesn't include other work. I witness RGI come in and jack up the costs to line their pockets and make it a larger project. And when the work was limited to remediation only, they werent interested. Zero accountability or reliability. Details and email from RGI included below.

Unit above me had water damage and I used a seperate company to do the emergency service work. I called RGI to do recon.
They sent a technician that put the fear of God in my tenant. He claimed remediation wasn't done correclty and that tenant should NOT live there. (Why he didn't call me when on-site and speak to me still baffles me. The owner, Fred, was made aware of this mis-step and has yet to call back...)
This (inapprpriately delivered) news meant that before I could proceed with recon, we would first need additional remediation/clean-up. I worked with Drew on how environmental cleanup will impact the recon timeline/costs. I worked with Drew on this and he attempted to "fix it" despite Fred's lack of communication about his employee speaking with my tenant.
Drew drafted a project timeline and work was supposed to begin Monday "morning". I agreed to paying deposits and look forward to seeing this "hazardous" cleanup begin.
Prior to their crew showing up Monday morning, I decided to use RGI for clean-up and recon and I replaced their (third-party) HVAC/plumbing guy with my own since my units were under warranty. RGI viewed this as "pulling the rug out from under them". HOW??!? I had HVAC and plumbing removed at 4am and ready for their cleanup crew to beging work Monday morning. Instead, on Day 1 the crew was at an emergency site and my work was put off since HVAC/plumbing was done by my guys. SMH.
RGI crew never showed up. They wanted assurance that they would do recon work after clean up. All of the sudden, doing remediation work alone was under their budget. I insisted they do one job right first and then move on to the recon and they lost all interest in doing the work.
To pull their leg out, this is the email they sent me:
Hello
RGI has a minimum charge of $2,500. I m already under that. I had your whole timeline laid out on Friday to make this job run smooth until you pulled the rug out from us at 4am on the day we were supposed to start. This job was simple. I understand you used our estimates to get insurance money and now are trying to get it done cheaper. That s all fine and dandy but not how Remediation Group operates. Remediation Group will not be able to service you. I am sorry if this creates stress for you but it was of your own doing. Good Luck.
