Used to stay here several times a year. One recent stay revealed the cut rate remodel. No... just no. Pergo floors are you kidding me? I guess it's cleaner but COLD in the morning, smoking areas right outside the exit so you have to run the vape, dope, nicotine gauntlet coming or going, sketchy people milling around the less visible areas of the lobby level and this LAST time I called the Spokane # to book a room I was transferred to "reservations" which ended up being a barely literate call center in ??? the english was so bad i really couldnt tell you where. Ended up booking a room elsewhere. 30 years and never agian.
Truly the worst hotel I stayed at in 20 years. Front desk had nobody when I checked in. The room is missing things like a waste basket or even a clock. There are no places to plug in a phone anywhere near the bed.
Some days they don't clean the rooms. This morning the restaurant couldn't open because the internet was down and they couldn't put in orders. Tonight the internet is down. Room keys will deactivate, I complained about the room key and they said it was because I put it next to a phone even though the keys are actually RFID.
I have always stayed here when visiting Spokane. It has gotten very expensive to stay here but the condition of the rooms does not match the price. There is rust on the bathtub fixtures, the bathtub doesn't drain, the grout is dirty, the grout on the tile floors in the bathroom is dirty and stained, the toilet runs, the toilet paper was wet upon arrival and when I went to shampoo my hair the shampoo was already used.
I booked this hotel believing there was an indoor pool. When I made the reservations it said there was an indoor pool. Well guess what no indoor pool. This is the only reason I booked the hotel. My kids wanted to swim!!!
Recently renovated. Well done. But, they removed the in room coffee makers. Also removed the chair from the room so the only place to sit is in the bed. However, there is room to workout in the hotel room. People are fantastic and restaurant had good food.
The hotel looks like it has put some work into renovations of the main lobby to make the hotel trendy. My issue is with some of the staff. We booked 2 rooms (had proof of this) and they only had 1 room ready for us when we checked in just before 5pm. It took us just over 2 hours to get checked into our second room. Was totally ridiculous and the staff we dealt with was not accommodating, kind or professional. He was quite snarky and did not take any responsibility. Then in the morning we got charged for parking twice despite that we had one vehicle and was never told about parking fees at all to begin with. Thankfully the staff we got in the morning was much nicer and took the parking fees off our invoice but I am still in the process of dealing with management about our other issues.
Good clean and remodeled. It's right on the trail which makes for great walkability.
I loved the location. Easy walk for scenery and shopping.
The hotel is nice and "hip" but the drinks in the bar and our event were very expensive. The hotel staff is fast and friendly. The rooms were over priced so we decided not to stay over night.
Great hotel, reasonable price, very innovative. Overall, would stay again. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is it was 3.5 stars. Cheers.
Very dog friendly, and $15 pet fee versus $50 at Davenport. Bring your dog's bed in, floors are hardwood which means cleaner rooms. Coffee pot in room, shower & bed excellent, staff equipped with smiles, dog treats and great service. Lobby quirky and cool, location epic. Beer selection good, floors very quiet (thank you!). We left with complimentary foofy coffee thanks to the free espresso bar offered during morning hours.
Used to be the Red Lion Hotel. Newly remodeled. I've never stayed at the hotel but visit the bar/restaurant a few times a year for lunch or a light dinner. Three stars because of the small size of the salad i just paid $18.99 before a tip for. A house salad, added grilled salmon. Way over priced. Salads here used to be a full meal in themselves. I ordered to go and was sad to see the size of my salad when I arrived at my destination and probably won't return. Staff was nice and attentive.
The room was nice. The only negative was the in room Krueg coffee was horrible couldn't drink it. Had to go to the lobby coffee stand for morning coffee.
Despite being under construction in the lobby, this place is uhhhhmazeing. If you're on the fence about staying here, I hope this review tips you over the top. The pools are amazing. The rooms are amazing. Directv in the rooms. Curtains practically black out the room when you close them. Everything is perfect, all the way down to the modern alarm clock with outlets and USB ports in it.
We got a suite here we were told when we booked the hotel that the room had a queen bed and a pullout bed. When we got to are room it was completely different from the pictures on the website and there was no pullout bed. When we complained to the front desk they first told us their was nothing they could do, then after about 30 minutes they offered us another room. The hotel is also under construction, there is nothing stopping you from walking right in to the construction area. This does not seem very safe as children could easily walk into the construction area and get hurt.
Room is just ok for the price - we got the suite - nothing fancy for sure but roomy. No complimentary Coffee - disappointed. No secure WiFi. Front desk staff are busy with Hoopfest and rush you through. Glad I got here early.
The hotel is very nice and quite comfortable, but we had several issues that were quite annoying. When we went to go into our room after checking it (late at night after a long day of travel), there was already someone in it. We were then checked into a different room, but it was still showing as vacant in their system and we were woken up early in the morning by housekeeping. Another person was then assigned to our room and we were walked in on while trying to rest on our super break. After calling the front desk and explaining what happened, they fixed it in the system, but in doing so made it so our cards no longer worked. Overall not the experience you would expect from such a high class hotel.
Was pretty sweet went to a party at the presidential suite
Amazing view from the rooms! This place has such a cool, young Urban feel that transforms you to more than just a normal "hotel stay". It gave me a comfortable and retreat style vibe the entire time and has great amenities :)
We stayed for two nights in August and the hotel is in the middle of remodelling, which was just a very small inconvenience. The problem I had with the hotel was that I had reserved a King room with a deck. We arrived a bit too early and I was unable to have an early check-in, which was fine. We went back a bit before 3:00, which is check-in time, and they told me that my room wasn't available yet. I asked if coming back at 3:00 would be a better time and the desk clerk said "Oh I don't know. I can't guarantee that." I told her, "it says on your website that check-in is at 3:00 but I can't get into my room at 3:00?" The desk clerk told me she'd call me when my room was ready but I never received a call.
So we sat in the lobby with our luggage and watched many many people check in and get their rooms keys. I decided that the desk clerk would never call me so I got back in line and tried to check in again. Finally, a different desk clerk was able to get us into our room...at about 4:30. Our stay didn't start off on a good note and I can't say whether we'd stay there again. They definitely need to work on having rooms ready at check-in time.
Great spot for special events and conventions. Great central location for exploring and sight seeing.
No coffee in the room. No room service. Room is loud. No "DO NOT DISTURB" signs for the door. Staff are courteous but limited in providing help. Wifi has to be reconnected every day. Some areas seem to be dangerously underconstruction.
Hotel RL is where it's at I met some friends here and the venue was great
Wasted money by booking at this hotel. Started off with barking dogs across the hallway and people running up and down the hall as if it were a gym. I wore ear plugs to get to sleep, only to awake to someone pounding and yelling on the door of the room next to me in the middle of the night. The bathtub drain was clogged, turning my shower into a knee bath. Topping it off was the family of spiders along the roof above the bed. Definitely would recommend staying somewhere else. The hipsters with the ipad for checking in should have alerted me that the cost-cutting measures extend beyond the front desk. And don't forget about the parking free that they do not tell you about until you find it on a receipt slid under your door.
The people were great very helpful even though I was a ass
Disgusting. Toilet had black mold around the entire ring. I am not exaggerating. Floor, when wiped was extremely dirty. Hair in bath tub. Dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in.
Worst customer service I have ever received in my life from the pompous front desk rudely treating my service dog like a wild animal to absolutely not respecting me in a time of great need I would strongly suggest you stay away from this hotel there are plenty of others in the area that will enhance you time in Spokane.
I mostly come in for the afternoon happy hour at their lounge. Plentiful parking is nice. Happy hour prices on drinks are really good. Warning: all drafts are 12oz, not pints
I ll start off by saying the service and people are amazing. I find it very sad though that the state of the hotel is not up to davenport s standards. The entire East side of the hotel was recently renovated although is was still under construction. The stairwell smelt like paint and wasn t even entirely painted or carpeted. The emergency exit wouldn t open until we called the front desk and some one came and helped fix the motion sensor that operates the lock (which I m pretty sure will not work in the event of a power outage). The rooms had no ventilation and the windows couldn t open so the entire week I was there the room was so musty and damp that it was uncomfortable to be in there. Until the hotel is actually finished and the rooms have ventilation then I can not suggest staying there. I hate to leave a bad review though because the people were very very nice. They have a shuttle that can take you to downtown and pick you up, there are also bike that are free to rent from the hotel.
Nice place. Was here for a weight lifting competition, facilities were very nice
There are a couple different Red Lion Hotels that are linked so it's a bit confusing but the places are really nice!
I can't exactly give a full review since I didn't stay here. My sisters did and they were pleased. The only reason I'm writing the review is because I'm a camping fanatic and was very impressed with the decor and playfulness of the lobby. My nephews were running around and hanging out in the hammock type chairs and up and down the amphitheater type seating. Seems like a fun family place.
Took until 5 at night to get a room, when reserved months in advanced, separate charge if wanted breakfast in the morning. Rooms was clean, beds comfortable.
Great clean rooms, great service. Everything was clean and up to date
It is in the process of being updated. Looking pretty go cosmetically in the lobby and bar area. The rooms are dated and were not very clean. Even after room service was called and requests for missing supplies, room was not properly stocked with toiletries or cleaned well. We had to wear shoes or our feet were dirty. Staff was very nice and pleasant, and the shuttle staff was very nice and accomodating.
Smells like paint. Not worth the money. Went elsewhere for the night
I was beautiful and elegant but the food was midocre. It was great overall.
Great location. Lacks maintenance. Common areas nicely updated but rooms need work. Guest rooms have lots of stains on walls. Curtains are just yuck-stained, dirty, torn, full of holes. Worn woodwork. Dirty corners. But, have comfortable bed and good linens.
I stayed here overnight for a two-day training for work. The staff was very friendly and greeted us every time we walked by the check-in table. I asked for more shampoo and stuff because there were two of us in our room and they didn't hesitate to get what we needed. The ballroom my work training took place in was great. Lunch both days was yummy and there was plenty for everyone.
Staff was friendly. Place was very quiet on a Sunday night. Lighted parking.
Great location, being close to river park. Nice rooms with comfortable beds, & very relaxing feel thruought hotel. Had a quick grab n go breakfast...delicious!
I was at the Red Lion for a party and I hadn't been there in years. The new look is very inviting and the staff was awesome.
Room was great, check in was a pleasure... however, check out was a problem.... I was hit with a $12 parking feeling that was nowhere in the property information on my a temporary it took 30 minutes to finally have it removed after physically proving the Priceline did not address the fee or a say there was in their billing
Don t let the updated entrance and restaurants fool you into thinking it s a nice clean place to stay. The rooms are nasty and very little cleaning goes into preparing rooms for new guests. We ve experienced blood in the sheets because beds are simply remade and bathrooms that were not cleaned. Absolutely will not stay at the hotel ever again!
great place, very fun and modern. easy going, and helpfully staff. very fun, I would recommend
Really beautiful hotel now that it s renovated! Staff is always willing to help, van drivers are very polite and zipped me down to the pharmacy right away when I wasn t feeling good.
Only downfall in the room (not worthy of deducting a star) is the bathroom...the overall size of it is small and the shower has only one sheet of glass which leaves most of it exposed making for a chilly shower. They also seemingly forgot to place a shelf or something to place items you may use in the shower you brought from home. A weird design flaw, but didn t dampen my experience at all.
My husband and I drove hours to get to our reserved suite for our first date night in a long time. We were told 3pm was check in time and arrived promptly. After being informed that our room was not ready and that they would contact us just as soon as it was (without being able to give us an idea of how long it would take), we then went to the resturaunt to have a bite to eat to kill time. It ended up being 2 hours! We then went back up to see how much longer and they hadn't even started on our room yet. So we canceled our reservation. We will not be coming back again.
A great hotel with an awesome lobby and it's adjacent to Riverfront Park.
We absolutely love your summer concert events :-) The Beatles last night were phenomenal :-) thank you so much :-) will be back next year :-)
The lobby was nice, as was the pool. It was a little difficult getting from the pool to the trail right next to it, which was irritating.
Not many complaints, except Friday evenings they play loud music from 6-9, and we had to make our own do not disturb sign after asking the hotel staff twice for one. Still, overall the experience was pretty fine for the price.
Really friendly staff, very accommodating, very helpful, clean rooms and nice selection for dinner and breakfast
I love the RL hotels. Would definitely recommend them.
New renovations make the entrance and lounge great to look at. They've done away with a "front desk" and instead have concierges with iPads ready to check you in promptly. Rooms are also modern and comfy with a huge flat screen tv. Unfortunately there was an issue with our booking and our second room wasn't in their records which took two hours to sort. Unfortunately the first staff member we spoke with was less than understanding, luckily the kind woman we dealt with the following morning made up for it. Would have given more stars if it weren't for the unfortunate experience with the one employee the first evening.
Awesome hotel right by the water great views great service its awesome for a nice getaway ente whether you live in town or just visiting you def get your moneys worth and much more
Worst experience. They made us wait 3 hours for our room though we had a reservation. About 5 other people had to wait around as well. They told us we could get a refund and gave us a number to call. The number we called told us that the front desk could refund us so we went back and were then told it's non refundable. By that time a room finally opened up. There were no soaps or shampoos provided in the room. The floors were dirty. We had our dog with us and had to sit in the car with him while waiting for our room. It was ridiculous. The only good thing was the lady who took our food order at the coffee place next to the restaurant. She was so kind that we basically forgot we were having a bad experience. Kudos to her!
Okay conference space. It kind of looks like it was spray painted by Pinterest. On the outside it is super hipster-y and nice, but on the inside it's still a crummy hotel.
The room was okay. Wouldn't stay here again. You have to pay additional $12 to park a night in addition to the cost of your room. Looks like they are trying to upgrade. The first room they gave us wasn't clean and we asked them to clean it. We checked in at 5pm. Then they moved us to another room, which wasn't too bad. The room was a little run down. There we're marks all over the walls and no screens in the windows. There was no TV remote in our room. It took them an hour to get one to us. It was a little frustrating and disappointing.
There for a job hiring seminar. They turn the air conditioning off in the room we were in.
It's uniquely decorated, has a big pool with a water slide, a poolside "bar", live music on the weekends in the summer with a satellite bar, restaurant with outdoor seating, a coffee bar and another bar we didn't visit. All great things in my opinion. However... During Hoopfest, the coffee bar was grossly understaffed. We had dinner and breakfast. The food was not very good but priced as though it should be. There are plenty of places to eat in walking distance though. The queen size bed is a full, at best and our room was small. Not a big deal. There was an old Arby's sandwich in the minifridge but they get a pass because it's a busy busy weekend. Hopefully they thoroughly cleaned the rest of the place. The toiletries seem nice quality and smell good. Staff was very nice and helpful.
The service was great . the food was good. We had our 40th reunions there. Room seemed a little small but we had a good time
I work for a hotel so I know how hectic days can be but the front desk and bell staff do an exemplary job no matter how many people are crowded in the lobby making every guest feel important.
I really like it here. Even before The davenport bought it. Again the red leather has to go! A pop of blue suede chairs would look more classy, just my opinion! Well located and beautiful views. Better than the Davenport on views! Staff is great, Starbucks in the lobby and amazing shuttle you can utilize!!! Love it here!
Attended a church event there, staff personnel were fabulous. Nice hotel, great location.
The rooms are homey and spacious. Free basic WiFi and a very deceptive, vintage, and hipster lobby located next to a great cafe. Short walk from the park and the convention center.
This hotel has a free shuttle to and from the airport, which is nice. The rooms are average--clean, but nothing special. There were some weird noises while I stayed there (maybe the wind?) and my window looked out at a brick wall, so my room seemed kind of dark/dingy (but like I said, clean).
Great location! Next to the river, river walk, Spokane arena, downtown, & the falls. Beautiful hotel! very modern, comfortable, & affordable. Staff was amazing! Rooms are clean. Wonderful restaurant, bar, & coffee house. Loved my stay!
Great luncheon for our office at. John L Scott, Realty.
Rooms are a little older but still clean. Parking is $12 a night on top of the rental. Love the location, close to a great paved trail and the mall.
Rooms were nice clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent and I really enjoyed myself
The good: It's a beautiful semi-resort for middle class with nice amenities including both indoor and outdoor pools. They have simple comfortable rooms but you can also choose rooms with fancier options. Housekeeping does a great job and they mix good drinks. The coffee is hands down the best coffee I have ever tasted in my life.
The bad: The scratchy toilet paper still needs replaced. They lack a proper restaurant, combining it with a bar and a take-away deli. The food is ridiculously expensive. The front desk situation was somewhat disorganized.
All in all, it is a relaxing place to stay, and the positive far outweighs the negative. It's a good value.
But seriously, Red Lion, get better toilet paper.
The service was great and the pool is phenomenal. I had a great time
The rooms have thin walls. You can hear the tv from the next room. The shower curtain was falling down and the tub didn't drain.
