No coffee pot in the rooms, the alarm clock was literally laying on the floor half under a bed because the cord wasn't long enough to reach a nightstand so they left it on the floor... Housekeeping left no toiletries, no liners in the wastebaskets, and trash on the floor. Furniture worn, paint chipped and fading... Nice lobby and pool areas but the rooms are really poor, especially for the price.

Sparkling clean not just rooms every corner. Amazing room with a very comfortable desk and a chair for people who need to work on their laptop. A cute comfy red sofa (seems like their signature furniture ) in a room. Accomodating, friendly staffs. The hotel is built for professionals / conferences - outlets are everywhere even in the lobby. Hopefully I can come back when the gym and pool reopen!

My favorite thing about this hotel is its locatiin. For me, there isn't a better spot to stay in Spokane, location-wise. You're *right* on the river. You're right on the Centennial Trail. You can walk into and across Riverfront park, including to Riverpark Square/movie theater/downtown with ease. That said, I don't love the new RL by Red Lion update. It feels a little chaotic, like it wa just slapped on to meet an arbitrary standard with no thought as to what people actually wanted. The desk personnel continue to be minimally welcoming and helpful. They do their jobs adequately, but with no real sense of welcome or excitement (which is fine - at the end of the day, that all I need and they're just trying to make a living.) Cleanliness is good but not great. In-house restaurant is good! Nothing stunning, but cute and decent food. Overall, a good place to stay, but it would be so easy to kick it up to a notch to kind of a special place, and you just get the sense that corporate doesn't care and that's trickled down a bit.

Our stay at RL Hotel Spokane was great. There were a few issues when we first checked in but staff fixed them quickly and compensated us for the trouble. Our room was clean. Staff were friendly. Parking was easy. It was great to have the park practically at our front door. One thing i would have liked was room service. Guess you can't have everything.

Don't be fooled by their shiny-new lobby and hi-tech ipad check-in. Staff in the lobby are friendly but disorganized. After my one-night stay I woke up covered in bug bites that I did not have when I went to bed. My shower was clogged and the toilet was dirty. The bathroom overall smelled like pee. To top it all off, they charge $9 for parking without telling you until you receive your itemized receipt upon check-out. I paid way too much for staying in what felt like a dirty motel.

I am staying at this place which is now (the Centennial Hotel) and so far so good. They even have some logos of USA Track and Field on their entrances and inside the hotel which I would like to thank them for that. The view of my window is very nice, over looking at water and a beautiful park and river. Inside the hotel very relaxing and hip at the same time. Please check my pictures of the hotel

Booked a room for new year's eve. Room was small, shoddy and smelled strongly of mold, but they did move us to a larger room upon request. The hotel bartender was shockingly rude and disrespectful to several other customers, as well as us. Probably won't be staying here again.

Pushing for trendy the location was obviously recently renovated. Didn't care much for my reception at the ipad non-desk desk. Just not professional or, honestly, that friendly. The room was remodeled and everything was new but it was TINY and they really needed to take the room down to the studs when they remodeled and should have replaced the bathroom doors. VERY worn out, patched walls etc. "Missed it by that much."

#NotWorthIt Decided to stay at this hotel because of its location. We even paid for the King Bed with a "view" even though it was way more than just the standard room. We though it would be worth it but we were wrong. Our room faced the Spokane River but it didn't overlook anything. The view is blocked off by a large empty pool. The only good thing about our stay was the comfortable bed. The shower had no curtain and is only partially closed so water splashes all over the bathroom floor. The amount of light that came in at night because of the crack under the door was ridiculous. Had to use a towel to cover it so we could get some sleep. As we left we were asked how our stay was and we let them know that our bathroom door didn't close all the way and their response was, "And that affected your stay?" As if privacy didn't matte to us... Yes, its trendy and unique but honesty not worth it.

We have been coming her every summer for the past 8 years. We love the changes that have occurred. The location is perfect to walk to play, dining, shopping etc! The pool is always clean (we are missing the water slide this year though ): ). I highly recommend staying her especially if you have a kiddos!

This was the best night stay I have had on my trips lately! Room was perfect. Cute bar and lobby to chill in. We were here in the winter with some snow still on the ground but our room had a door right to the outdoor pool with water slide and water fall... So cool! the indoor pool was also nice. We were right across from the indoor pool and didn't even know it. We were also on the bottom floor. This my have been important as I did over hear some guests say that people were noisy in the halls the night before. There was a high school sports gathering of some type and there were alot of kids around so I could imagine them playing in the halls but we heard nothing! So hearsay will not change my review. I will stay her again for sure! oh and free shuttle to the airport and free wifi... and bar and hotel staff were great too!

Do not count on superior service or amenities. Expect hairs on your towels and sheets. Expect a lot of noise from children. Expect a busy pool. Expect slow service for expensive food. Expect fighting, snotty, superficial staff. It's a great location, and this place is certainly trying to be good, but I don't think they are investing in keeping their staff happy or focused on individual guest experience. I think they want to appear trendy and have cool photos for their website. No coffee makers in the room? Not cool, coming from a coffee addict. Breakfast closed before the advertised hours? Lazy.

The motel itself is very nice. The hotel charged $12.00 a night to park in their parking lot. Not sure where else we were supposed to park. Then they taxed us another 8.8% on the $12.00, plus the tax of 8.7% on the room itself. They also added a 3.3% lodging tax, TPA flat fee of $2.00 (who know what a TPA fee is). They added a destination amenity fee of $5.95 and then did a sales tax of 8.8% on that. So in total to spend the night over and above the price of the room, we were charged $34.14. The lady at the front desk was not friendly. She was more like a robot just doing her job.

Disclaimer- due to service we did not end up staying at the hotel.

Reserved a room for my grandmother who requires a handicap room for safety. Called the morning of our reservation to confirm her handicap accessible room was good to go, and the staff assured us everything would be ready. Due to that, we went to a few other locations in town before checking her in. Arrived at about 8pm and we were told they had given away the room and could get her a handicap room the 2nd night of her stay but she'd have to switch during the day. My grandmother decided for the price she'd be paying, she wanted the room we were promised, and to search elsewhere for a room that fit her needs.

absolutely horrable! the service is bad, booked a month in advance, and they put us as the first room on the first floor. the ceilings are 6ft5 at most, so if you are tall a 5 ft high shower head is in your future. We are a young family and the noise was obnoxious, the smell of smoke for a non smoking room was giving us all a head ache. Also everything was grimey and falling apart with what looks like rot and rust in the bathroom. We asked for a different room and the response was they could move us closer to the noise. then told us all they could do was give us a 20$ credit. They didn't even apologize. This is literally the sign to out room...

The rooms were outdated and need to be updated to match the rest of the hotel. The bathroom tub was dirty and had hair in it upon arrival. The waterslide was a great feature, especially traveling with kids. I paid for the upgrade with the view and it was worth it to be able to watch my kiddo swim, but I wouldnt pay again for the river view. The breakfast is pricey, and there is no laundry facilities. The beds, pillows, and blankets were very comfortable.

Wonderfully renovated, very friendly staff, interesting, delicious and affordable food in a lively bar/restaurant. Caveat: I work for Red Lion Corporate; regardless, on my first visit to this property, I am very impressed with the product and service and proud to be a part of RLH Co.

Hotel was alright. Booked it through the App Hotels tonight. On the day of our check out I noticed on my bank account that Hotel Red Lion was charging me for the room which I had already paid through the App. I called the front desk and I told her that room has already been paid for, she says most likely I won t get charged for the room the money will only be on hold for 3-5 days until they get everything checked out on they re part. She also asked for my contact number so she could have her manager call me back. Fast forward 4 days later, I never got a returned call, I still got charged for the room so I got charged double. So I call back, lady says, I ll get a refund but not a full refund because they charged a $9.00 parking fee that the iPad lady when checking in never told me I was being charged a $9.00 parking fee, she just handed me the parking pass. So hotel was close to everything. Hotel was nice, but if only they didn t charge for parking and double charge whenever you book elsewhere.

We had a wonderful visit in 2015 and will be returning this year. The staff was absolutely amazing. Rooms were clean and amenities were abundant. Did I mention...the staff was amazing? They went out of their water to serve us. We are looking forward to this year's trip.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights with my girlfriend for the Inlander Volume Music Festival, and it was wonderful! It was within walking distance of everywhere we ended up going, and the room was perfect for us. The only issue we ran into was figuring out how to turn off the fan / air conditioner, because the power button didn't seem to work correctly.

The room was an accessible room (usually ok but we were not told) and they charged a $9/night parking fee to my Credit card without informing me. The floor in the bathroom was filthy. Red Lion Must do something about the "free" breakfast: we stayed at three different RL hotels over the last 5 days. All of them had the same issue; when we went to breakfast (which was INCLUDED in our booking) we were interrogated as if we were freeloaders. Of course, eventually they determined we were owed breakfast, but not after quite a bit of unnecessary embarrassment. Not good! Otherwise a pleasant enough hotel, but I'm not sure if we'll return.

Terrible accommodations, horrible staff, good is g...

Terrible accommodations, horrible staff, good is gross.

We were staying at The Centennial hotel because of the Big Powerlifting Event being hosted in the conference space. The stay was 10 nights. Here is a breakdown of how everything was:

Room: the room was clean, but very very outdated. The bed was surprisingly comfy and the sheets were clean. The room was two small for two adult people to stay in it and there was way too much furniture crammed into a small space. The bathroom was TINY and only one person could fit into it. The tub kept getting clogged starting with night one. The non-slip lining they put in the tub kept peeling up and felt gross on my feet. Hot water did not work on the last night so we had to shower in freezing cold water before leaving for airport because we did not want to be late. The hotel provided make-up remover, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap, which was nice. The fan did not work in the bathroom (i dont think it was even installed properly since you could not see the vent) and made a horrendously LOUD noise. There was only a few outlets in the room and on my side of the bed (left) was only one outlet and it was behind the bed. The bed needed to be pulled out in order to just charge my phone. There is a mini fridge, Keurig coffee machine and microwave oven in the room which was awesome! We never used the TV, but it was a very big flat screen. AC did not work well at all, we were super hot at night. AC was do loud that it was hard to sleep at times. The lights were very dim in the room and the front door light was so bad that you could not see anything with it on. There was an ironing board and iron in the room in good condition, which came in handy for our business trip. There was a GIANT gap under the door, so you could hear EVERYTHING happening in the lobby (it would echo really bad)

Lobby/ Conference Rooms: we arrived three days prior to the event and the lobby was under construction. They put down the carpet tiles about 24 hours before the event and they were done so badly. The raised lobby floor was carpeted that day and you can literally peel up the carpet tiles and see holes in the structure/floor (carpet tiles were not even glued properly). They put up two big TVs and couches in the lobby to watch powerlifting, Which was nice. The conference rooms were nice and spacious with lots of chairs, however, they did not vacuum once while the event was happening, not even at night! The bathrooms in the lobby/conference space were not regularly checked and were either clogged, peed over or puked over constantly. They did not have enough toilet paper/paper towels for the event, gross!

Customer Service/ Staff: Customer service was not impressive at all, quite bad actually. The front desk employee, Silvio, talked badly about his colleague right in front of us. They did not apologize about the lack of hot water on the last day and didnt even send housekeeping to our room until the third night (and that was by request). We did request towels and the housekeeper Nelli brought those up for us. The new towels were so much nicer than the ones we previously had in the room. We had to constantly come to the front desk and ask for paper towels in the conference room to be refilled.

Restaurant/Bar: Don't even get me started on the hotel bar/restaurant. This WAS ONE OF THE WORST food experiences of my life. The event was 14-16 hours each day and we didnt have time to go elsewhere to eat, so we ate at the restaurant almost every day. The food was disgusting (all but wings and burger). They ran out of like a quarter of the food on the menu on a daily basis. The bar ran out of some alcohol too on several occasions. There were so UNDERPREPARED for this conference/event. Most of the servers we had were so unhappy with their jobs I wonder how they got hired by anyone at all! The servers were not tidy looking and some very quite trashy looking. The food took about 45 minutes on most occasions. The drinks took 30 on most occasions. There were a few times where we were not even given silverware.

Improved from previous owner Red Lion. The decor has a mountain lodge feel. Above average size TV screen. There is an unusual problem with a ledge which is attached to the bathroom mirror: (see attached pic) it is positioned so everything you do, such as shaving, washing your face etc, you have to be mindful of it or you hit your head, face or hands against it. My suggestion to management is: REMOVE IT. There is plenty of space on the counter to set your toiletries etc. There is no reason to have that obstacle course.

Don't waste your money. The room felt like a Hospital room, the staff was unpleasant aside from two guys working at the bar. I would be more understanding if the cost of the room wasn't well above what it was worth. The bed was comfy and the tv was nice... that's about it. I'll take my future visits elsewhere, though.

Horrible experience, our room was literally above the unsupervised lobby, there was no one to talk to to change rooms, people were coming in all night drunk and sreaming at the top of there lungs, niether one of us got any sleep at all and above all that I just woke up to a bill they slid under the door for additional $15 charge for parking(included with purchase of room, I have the parking pass to prove it)........ WOW what can I say, I haven't even made it to the breakfast that is supposed to be included with room purchase and have already had a terrible e,patience here at this hotel, I will most defiantly be asking for a refund for the total price of $135.69 (which included room, parking, and breakfast!) Will not ever stay her again,... and i will infact be posting another review in regards to wether or not i got my refund!

I loved the fact that the rooms do not have carpet. My room also had a balcony that you would really have to make an effort to see the balcony of the room next to you. Room was comfortable. It was also my first experience at a hotel with no check in desk. They have people walking around with tablets to help you.

This is a review strictly for the restaurant.

This is a review strictly for the restaurant.

The servers where extremely punctual and nice. They accommodated our needs very well and gave us excellent service.

The food was a differnt story.
We ordered the calamari to start. The wait time wasnt very long for the starter to arrive, but it was overcooked. I had also ordered the fish tacos and my wife order the fish and chips. We ordered all of our food at the beginning so we where now had doubts about our meals. When we did get our food, it was not really what we expected. It was lackluster and to be honest, lacked a lot of flavor. We decided that we where done dinning after our main course.

To wrap this up.
The ambian and servers make you feel like you are in a modern, higher class restaurant. Very welcoming and relaxing. This place would be great if you just went for happy hour.

They advertised an indoor pool on their.website. That was why we booked our weekend there. After checking in, they told us it's being demolished and no longer open for our use. The outdoor was kind of heated but it was too cold out to use it. They didnt leave shampoo in our room, we had to call down to get some delivered. We came home with bites on our arms, not sure from what. Better not have been bedbugs. We requested handicapped room, room was just ok. They offered to move us to their North location but our venue was near this location. The restaurant was very pricey and the food was mediocre and definitely not worth their prices. I felt they should have compensated us monetarily. We paid for a hotel with an indoor pool, did not get what we paid for. Ripped off, false advertising. They could have put something on their website to let people know.
