I submitted my application and was approved in two hours. My documents were emailed my loan was processed and close within 7 days. Very professional group of people I would highly recommend them. I could not be more pleased. And I lowered my car note $110 a month.

I had a horrible experience with rate genius. After I was told I was approved I sent all paper work my car title etc... The agent handling my case calls me and says the company rejected my approval because of something that came up on chex systems, but he then said I found another company with better rate assured me that they didn't use chex system and had me send in more paper work... He would call me 2-3 a day before I sent out paperwork, after I sent it out, 3 days go by I hear nothing, I call see if he for paperwork I get auto msgs that he was out the office . 1 week later nothing 1 1/2 week later still nothing I finally call and they I call to speak to someone else and they say he is no longer with the company, somebody else looks into it and says "no we apologize but your nor approved for this other company, he should should of never sent out other request" his name was Louis bacerra. For this unprofessionalism I give rate genius 2 thumbs down.

I hope my scenario was an abnormality. Requested information from this company due to a Credit Karma ad. Spoke to a gentleman and everything seem to make sense. Five hours later got a call back with the information that additional money needed to be put down to get the rate and monthly payment. The amount was about $1700. The difference from my old phone to my new loan was about $25 per month at a better interest rate. I would ve loved to of worked with them with the information changed from the first phone call to the second. Hi

This company did a hard pull on my credit after they put MY income information in their system wrong and I was denied due to THEIR mistake and had a hard credit pull with WRONG information on me. THANKS

Good at getting you refinanced at a better rate But Don't buy the Gap and other services that they sell because they won't refund it if you decide to sell or trade Like most dealerships Do. They also don't tell you that they hide it in the contract.

rateGenius was very quick and easy to work with. Their team responded in less than 45 seconds from the time I entered my info and came back with a quote from one the local credit unions a few ours later. Around 36 hours later I was in a new loan with a lower rate. Note: I already had a pretty good rate with Bank of America and my truck was barely a year old. And yes, my payments were nocked down nearly $100.

Dillion edminston was my broker and made me jump through hoops for a month to insult my intelligence on his lack of competence. After sending documents numerous times I failed to get any customer service , and received a doc on intelligence. Go through capital one they won t waste two months of your time

This company is fraudulent and dishonest, I didn t ask for their loan, they pulled my credit report without my personal permission, just because they felt like it, unbelievable!!

Rate Genuis was super easy to use. Got an approval and all my paperwork done in as little as two days (after the weekend of course I applied in a Saturday.) My advisor was great. They also have a company phone which was super convenient because I could text my advisor at my leisure which was extremely convenient and made me feel like I was simply talking to a friend. I have near perfect credit and they said I did not qualify for a refinance. They did a hard pull on my inquiry and the did multiple pulls after. DO NOT use them, they are a scam.

Jaime Garza is fabulous! His customer service skills are exceptional! Our loan application process was simpler than I expected. However, we had some serious logistical issues on our end with signing the loan documents which had nothing to do with Jaime or his team. We live in New Jersey and our oldest son lives in Las Vegas. Our son made some mistakes by signing documents he should not have signed. Consequently, we had to resign those documents. In the process, our loan approval expired and we had to redo the entire loan. Throughout this ordeal, Jaime was extremely patient and solution-oriented. We highly recommend RateGenius and would use them again.

Stay away from RateGenuis. They will run your credit so many times to get you a lower monthly payment BUT with a HIGHER APR. Do not waist your time with them and DO NOT listen to their "Oh all the hits on your credit will be within a few days and it only counts as 1 BS" Go to a good credit union and they will offer you a decent apr.

RateGenius made the refinance of my auto loan a very easy one. Other than filling out a few forms and signing others electronically, they basically do everything else for you. My first rep did make a minor mistake calculating the payment amount for 48 months vs. 54, but she realized it early on and was very honest. All in all, I ended saving a solid amount of money and I'm very happy with their services.

I make easier twice approval by them easy quick and about. Good peoples to truth good staffing

It should be a 5 stars, but, at the end of my experience with them, it was glitch, For better word. Over all, I am very happy with the results.

I thought it was just another bulk mail scam, because the rate on the letter from RATEGENIUS said I had been PRE-APPROVED for would literally cut my current Auto Loan APR in half.

So in a fit of I ll show them , I went online and filled out the application.

In a couple hours I received a call from a young man by the name of Brian Scott. An exceptionally personable and professional gentleman who confirmed in fact that I had been pre-approved for the rate as advertised.

He went on to say, all he needed was a few pieces of information, and he would be sending my an email that told me exactly what to do.

Now did I say unbelievably low rate? I meant ridiculously low rate because he was cutting my APR by slightly more than 50%

That s in half ladies and gents.

So, I grilled this nice young man like a well done hamburger to find out what the catch was.

Certainly, somewhere on the fine print, I would find the clause that would soon be sending my soul south for a really long time .

But it wasn t there.

He kindly and respectfully answered all of my questions and said he would have a final decision upon receipt of the docs and approval of the lender, typically with 72 hours.

PERFECT. Enough time research and crush this too good to be true offer.

At this point, I thoroughly vetted this company with a GOOGLE search.

Because GOOGLE KNOWS ALL.

And, as fate would have it, a very close friend friend owns a FORD dealership, so I called him.

After hearing the details, he advised don t let the sun set without accepting that offer, they re cutting your APR by 50% .

DONE.

Now there are times when a RE-FI is not a good thing and I urge DUE DILIGENCE and to ASK THE HARD QUESTIONS.

But in my book RATEGENIUS is legit.

It was a seamless, stress-free transaction and Brian Scott could not have been more courteous or transparent in answering ALL OF MY QUESTIONS.

I was approved and RATEGENIUS saved me $75 per month.

That s real money to me and I am very pleased.

I could not be happier with my experience with RATEGENIUS and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED them to all of my family, friends and colleagues, and to those who have the patience to read this entire review!

My experience with RateGenius was very positive with my automobile refinance. RateGenius communicated well what the processes were going to be and followed through at every point. My agent was fantastic, I wish all in any industry were as friendly as him and responded quickly to concerns.
RateGenius got me just under a 2% reduction for what I had been paying, which was the reason for refinancing to begin with.

I'm not sure who, in their right mind, would sign a Power of Attorney authorizing their lender to "transfer and assign the legal title to said motor vehicle to anyone whomsoever as may be designated by my said attorney" but it certainly isn't something I'll sign. A POA is NOT required to record a lienholder (at least not in my state). The more likely reason they want this is in the event of the loan recipient defaulting on the payments, then they have the power to sell and title the vehicle (or transfer title to themselves), which, again, I understand, and would sign a document that was limited TO THAT INSTANCE, but this document is NOT limited whatsoever. I understand what they "say" they are using it for, but that is inaccurate at best, and disturbingly deceptive, more likely. Again, a POA is NOT required - I have had other lenders refinance this same vehicle without it before in the same state I'm in now. They also want personal references - TOTALLY unnecessary when the customer has a FICO score of 782 and ZERO history of even one single late payment. Originally, I was told that "they just keep it on file," but the real reason they want these (as explained to me later when I questioned the reason for giving out my friends' and family's personal information - to me it looks like a marketing strategy, and I am not willing to subject my friends and family to that) is in the even that the customer defaults, they can use that information to track them down. They already have employer information on file, and we are in the digital age - it's not hard to find someone when you want to. In the end, I declined this company's offer due to these issues, but most specifically the POA that they require.

This place is The deceitful and dishonest Beware they will run your credit even if you don't give them your social security number. They tell you to fill out some information to get a quote and then they run your experience credit report. Only in the fine print does it say that they will run your credit, nowhere on the page that you put information in and hit submit does it say that they will run your credit. Even without your social security number

John helped me get an auto refinance that lowered my interest rate by 3%. He clearly explained the process over the phone and was quick to respond by email in explaining the charges and fees. It was also right up against the deadline of a payment. Great service. The only complaint is that the refinance credit Union has minimal web functionality.

I reached out to rateGenius to refinance my vehicle. Initially everything seemed great, my loan officer David B. was very nice and explained how everything would work. He gave me a list of items to gather and send electronically and a pre-paid envelope to mail in the title, all which needed to be completed in 10 days or less for the payoff quote. I completed everything on his list and mailed in the envelope. A few days later I get a phone call around 7pm saying that I didn't submit all of the necessary documentation--which I knew was false because I had a clear checklist provided. Apparently, the rate they matched me up with required autopay to be setup which I was Never told about. I had to go to my bank and get an ACH form in one day or less or the payoff date would have passed. Luckily I have a flexible schedule, but that could have screwed me if I didn't. They also screwed up my "references". I supplied two references per their request on time, but they said I never submitted them. All-in-all, other than the last minute surprises, the service did save me about $30 a month through the refi. I would have rated much higher had David been upfront about EVERYTHING they needed, and not tell put the blame on me saying I forgot to send them in.

Great, easy car refinance experience. Yvette Pringle was very clear about what options were available to me and helped me choose the best option to save money. She found me a much better interest rate and was very fast in processing all my paperwork. I highly recommend using this service.

A bit shady. I dealt with Sergio Leyva.
The one thing that i wasn't told while getting refinanced was that my Gap Insurance payment was not refundable. This should have come up when we were discussing Gap Insurance.
We have paid off the car and Rate Genius keeps my $600+ dollars.
It's a bit of a shady business practice and probably a good source of "Stolen" money income for Rate Genius.

GO ELSEWHERE for auto financing, unless you absolutely love: Bait and Switch tactics, Zero proactive communication (other than blowing up your phone to initiate contact to make a false offer), getting the runaround from every person you talk to, and not honoring offers that their employees make, even after the (alleged) manager listens to the conversation that THEY'VE recorded and confirms the terms of the offer that their employee has made.
They will bite, claw and scratch to try to get ahold of you to sell you on the concept of applying for the loan, tell you false information, and then duck you when it comes time to actually come through. Nobody will take accountability and honor their word, and it seems like disorganized chaos, at best, as nobody seems to ever know what was discussed with anybody else there.

Pretty unhappy with Antonio from Houston....Doesn't seem to know how to keep multiple customers organized. Keeps getting all his customers applications mixed with application errors...Poor communications bcuz he won't respond in a timely fashion...Then after several days He responds with a list of things to do...This was supposed to take less than 10 days and we would miss 3 payments....now it is more than 14 days and because of his poor planning we only miss 2 payments...I would not recommend them....or as a minimum Antonio....My wife are ready to walk away from this deal due to their misleading statements and poor organizational skills and completing a deal.

Great company. Brought my APR down to 2.99% from 5.06%. The only thing I did not like was that the rep who was helping me, Chris Cain, was somewhat unprofessional in the sense that he never got back to me until I reached out to him. Also he only allowed me to have only two days to go over the paperwork before signing and shipping it back to him. Did not like that whatsoever. In short, no communication was originated from Chris Cain except from the introductory mail. That is very disappointing. I would expect a loan provider to keep me posted with every step of the transaction rather than me calling him and leaving him multiple voicemails for each update.That is pretty much the reason, I am selecting a 4-star instead of a 5-star.

My first payment is coming up on 7/25/2017 and the refinance is for 60 months. Hopefully everything goes well. I will later post an update about my experience with the payment process and everything else.

Fast professional service. Refinanced my wifes' auto loan and cut my interest rate to 4.5%, but I was approved at a Credit Union. Beware working with Credit Unions. The credit union opened a checking acct in my name. I must transfer funds into this checking acct, which takes 5 business days, then transfer those funds into my auto loan acct, which takes another day. If I don't have those funds available 1 week in advance of when car payment is due, I run the risk of payment being late. rateGenius did not explain this process to me. I had to find out on my own, after the fact. Not sure if all Credit Unions are like this, because this is my first time working with a credit union, but Financial Resources Credit Union, is not set up to make direct payments to my auto loan directly from my PNC Bank account. If I had known in advance the lengthy process it takes just to make my car payment, I would have definitely had second thoughts working with a credit union. I won't work with another credit union again, if they aren't already my financial choice to begin with.
