I have never been so disappointed in a company before. Not only did this process take 3 weeks to handle, every time they said they needed one more piece of information, once they received it, they needed ANOTHER piece of information. They tried to send me to the ups store to drop of documents to send to them 4 different times. Then the rep that was first helping me went on vacation without even telling me so now multiple reps were sent to finish the process. After all this headache I ended up canceling the process and will go to a different company. So unorganized and poor communication. DO NOT GO THROUGH RATEGENIUS!!! It is not worth the money savings

Hi I had the same issue myself with rate Genius more like rate failure I filled out policy papers from them you guys took my driver's license info proof of residents insurance policy currently job and you guys ask for my email address I mailed all my personal information in and called. Left voicemail never no return called waisted all my time and the streets from getting my hopes up high really is this how rate genius do people the deception is real don't trust them.
I have been with Welsa Federal Credit Union for over 11 years. They never finance anything thing for me and my wife and i wanted to get my wife VW refinance thru a local credit union and they still turn me down. I wanted to see if I can get a better interest rate if I was to refinance my car loan. I did not provide my SSN in their system on purpose so they don't do a hard pull on my scredit score. Yet they still performed a hard pull without asking me.

Seeking a lower interest rate my contact with rateGenius began after filling out an auto refinance application through Lending Tree. The next business day I had received several emails showing various interest rates up to a point lower than my current rate. Also that morning I received a call from Oma a rateGenius Loan Officer. I was on the phone and his call went to voice mail. He actually left me a message stating that he felt certain he could get me a rate at less than half my current rate. First of all, I was impressed he left a message. All the others who called hung up without leaving a message. I get a lot of unwanted calls and always let my calls go to voice mail if I don't recognize the number. Secondly it seemed hard to believe he could actually quote me a rate so low. However, he sounded sincere so I called him back. I am so grateful I made that call. Every conversation I had with Oma was a pleasure. He needed additional information from me to present to a source that he again asserted that I had a very good chance of getting a rate at less than half. I'll have to admit the process kept me pretty busy for the next few hours, but it all went very smoothly. Within 24 hours after my first contact with Oma my notarized document package was on its way at no cost to me. He received the package the next day, I was approved by the creditor 2 days later, and my refinance was funded in another 3 business days. My only cost was to my state for the title transfer. RateGenius added $100 to my payoff figure as a cushion in case of any delay in processing my payoff. That amount was added to my loan amount, and it was expected that my former finance company would reimburse me. I received the $100 refund exactly one month later. The payoff went through so quickly my refund even included a couple extra dollars for excess interest paid. As promised my first payment for my new loan was not due till over a month after the payoff was funded. I highly recommend rateGenius to anyone seeking a refinance and wants to work with very professional and honest people! By the way, the refinance saved me almost $1,000 in future interest payments.
Rate genius is great! They worked very hard to help me with exactly what I needed! Got me a new refinanced loan with 10% less interest then my previous loan! Went from 12.9% to 3.9%!

I've found them through CreditKarma and gave them a try. They were able to help me find a loaner that reduced my car loan APR 2.5%. The process was smooth and I did not have problems when I contacted them. I even rejected their offer for the gap insurance, and they did remove it right away, not pushy at all. On my experience, I completely recommend them.
The do work fast but John the guy that was assigned to me was not too bright, he kept calling the wrong phone number, he told for me to text him, so I did and emailed him and he still kept calling the wrong number, so I emailed him and told him that I was not interested anymore, he kept calling then he sent an email saying that if he did not hear from me soon, basically, he was closing my file, I mean dude, learn how to read!

The loan process was great. I dragged my feet to begin with, I was skeptic, but the rep ended up walking me thru the entire process and was available to answer all of my concerns. My interest rate dropped significantly -- over 3%. And my car pmts went from $393/mo to $255 with a service plan! I should've applied sooner!
