Wonderful experience .. I refinanced with Rate Genius at a great rate. Before I even made the first payment my van was totaled. After the dust settled and insurance paid off the vehicle I went right back to Rate Genius to refinance the brand new car I just bought from the dealership and they beat the rate again! My first payment is new next month! Love Rate Genius!

This whole transaction was easy peasy!!! I signed some paperwork over the computer, printed out some papers and mailed overnite, and faxed some papers to rateGenius. That's it!!!! I would absolutely use them again.

Ran my credit without my social security number. Then denied me with over 800 credit, no debt and high income. Never even reached out to me, except for a template denial email. Now I have the inquiry on my credit for no reason.

Bad business with incompetent discrimination. They called back next day to correct their own mess but it was too late, they already lost me as a customer. Should have serviced me the right way the first time.

I received the exact loan I was offered in the home mailing. The only issue was with my title. Apparently the word OR doesn't apply in all states the same way so we had to send papers via UPS three times in order to get things correct.

The process was surprisingly simple and easy. They were responsive and made sure my information was secure. I m impressed overall

Potential scam. They solicit you under the impression that they already have a better offer and then after hitting your credit and background, they do not deliver.

Allow me to say these 5 stars are for my Loan Specialist Manuel Parraga. He was a pleasure to work with, he was out sick for a few days. And I encountered two other associates. Who were Absolutely the worst customer service reps I've came across in along time. I myself a professional banker so be careful who you talk with. And please Know your facts Enough about them. Manuel was Amazing calling when he was sick to explain why I hadn't heard from him. He assured me he was taking care of me. And he was, the company made the process quick & painless and saved me money in the process. I would Highly recommend them for your loan needs. Thank you Manuel.

It has been weeks now. Every few days they will come up with more information or signatures that are needed AFTER they say they have everything and the loan will now be funded. Everday I check to see if the loan has been funded and it has not. I will call and they will say oh you need to do this or that. Okay, but YOU, should be contacting me telling me you need documents or signatures from me. Why do I have to call every couple of days wondering what s going on with my loan? It is literally your job to make sure you have all the information needed. I have been told twice now they have all the information and the loan will be funded. Still has not happened. Probably going to have to find a different company to work with. Thanks for wasted time.

I usually DO NOT attend to "junk mail adverts"... and goes immediately into File 13. For some reason, I actually noted the current "market rates" on a Rate Genius Advert and called... we have 5-cars in the family , with 2-financed (Bank of America and ALLY/GM)... went through R.G. and A+ F.C.U. (Austin, TX), and lowered our overall "per month". Over the life remaining of those 2x loans, basic savings of $8,000. Worthwhile for a short bit of my time...

Nice rep, but do your homework. Not told that I would take several hard checks on my credit report. Self employed, but they wanted my tax returns for two years (70+ pages) and my Profit/Loss Statements. "The credit union just wants to make sure there are no liens on your income." Felt I was refinancing a home not a car. They do like to push the GAP insurance. My monthly savings would have been around $20. It was not worth the effort. I stopped the process. FYI - my credit score is 730.

This was a very easy process. There were some overlapping emails from different agents, that made it a bit confusing briefly, but was easily resolved by calling customer service for clarifications.

They couldn t finance me even though i had a good credit . I ended up in having a lot of hard inquiries because of them.

I saved over $8,000 in interest thanks to RateGenius! I would recommend this company to ANYONE looking to save money on interest. Absolutely FANTASTIC service with above and beyond results. They literally do EVERYTHING for you except sign the papers and mail them in.

The process was quick, swift with no problems what so ever, everything was done through my smart phone which made it even more easy if I had a question, it was promptly answered.

I refinanced my car through this company and had been told my payments were going to be with a different bank but after I contacted the bank I had no account with them and I havnt been able to get a hold of my agent Richard Cohn or make payments. I m active duty military currently deployed and stressing out about my car payments while nobody has gotten back to me yet

bait and switch all the way! and the response back has NOTHING to do with my particular circumstance. perhaps you should investigate before posting a standard reply

I'm not a big review person. But I must say that Rate Genius took the headache out of refinancing my auto loan. Got me a great rate with a great lender and they even saved me some cash in my auto insurance. Shout out to my advisor down there in Texas he walked me through every step and went above and beyond

Great experience! Very helpful! They definitely did a great job and had everything done for me quickly.

They claim their process time for an application is 24 to 48 hours after submitting an application. It s been almost 1 week, and they still don t have an answer whether it s been approved or not. Worst thing is I already have 3 hard inquiries on my credit report because of them. 3 hard inquiries with no answer!

Just use credit unions and professional institutions. Most of the other lenders tell you you right away if you are approved or not. You can also learn your interest rate within minutes with professional institutions! Unfortunately, not with rategenius.

Do yourself a favor and find a lender on your own. Yes rategenius is connected with multiple lenders, but their customer service is AWFUL. I had a loan officer stop returning my phone calls after weeks of submitting paperwork. I could not get him on the phone to save my life. I had to call in as a new customer and get transferred to a new loan officer who helped me from there. The experience was so poor that I ended up deciding to find a lender on my own. I'm not usually one to write reviews, and I'm not going to be rude or blow the experience out of proportion but this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. At the end of the day I wasted a month of my time and I took a hit to my credit. Not the end of the world, but now I know better and hopefully my experience can steer you to ANY other company in this space.

Everything was great except they asked for a picture of the odometer AFTER having me do paperwork. That ended up having me to print all the paperwork out a second time and send it through ups a SECOND time. Also, its somewhat insignificant, but the company they got me through charges $5 fees everytime you want to pay online and more if over the phone. So now I'm stuck doing it the old fashioned way buying stamps and envelopes.

Quick and easy. I reduced my car payment and got a better rate. Highly recommend. No hidden fees.

Normally it s wise to avoid mail offerings... this was one I decided to inquire on further because it would potentially reduce my interest rate by a significant number. The agent, Nguyen, was very helpful the entire time after receiving a decision to proceed. Was able to cut the interest rate literally in half. What better could be expected? Great service throughout and made the process very simplistic with filling out online and faxing in a few other documents. Looking for an EASY auto loan application during a challenging time from the comfort of your home or workplace? This was as easy as it could get. Very pleased and highly recommended!

I've been using Rate Genius for auto insurance for about 3-ish yrs now, and they're awesome! They stay on top of my policy renewal as if it's their own, and they usually manage to find me a lower rate. I love this company, they're always on point and I make sure to tell my friends and family about whenever I can!

Shady and unethical practices. I did not enter my social and simply gave my name ,email , and number trying to find out potential rates before signing up. Next thing I know- I get no calls but a text saying I m approved for a loan. My credit had 3 hard inquiries I did not authorize on it. I called them they said credit karma sells them your social when you click on the link they have. They refuse to remove the illegal inquiries off my credit.

They helped me refinance my car. I now can afford the payment and the process was very easy.

Useless. Couldn't find me loan to refinance my vehicle. Apparently they work with over 150 banks and you can't find me a damn loan. My rep said I didn't qualify yet they were trying to get me an insurance quote. Why the hell do I want a quote for if I already pay the cheapest price as it is?? The other rep was supposed to get back to me about the insurance but she never did and my first one said she would try to find me a loan. I won't be recommending rategenuis to anyone. I'll just try through my credit union.

Working with this company has been one of the worst experiences of our lives. We could never reach our loan officer, and he wouldn't even respond to our messages or emails. We cancelled our application and moved forward with a more reputable company. We regret wasting several weeks on this process!

Overall, a good experience with rateGenius. They are pretty responsive, but they have a lot of clients so dont expect anything right away. Even with this said, I would go with them again in the future.

I had been looking for a loan for a couple of months and could not get a good interest rate until i applied through Rate Genius.

Advertised a 1.99% rate to refinance, but after running my credit- and me having better than excellent credit, they do not even offer this rate. Would not have had them run my credit had I been informed before of their actual rate, which was nearly double. I will be filing with the BBB.

In general I have received very good attention and I am satisfied with the service.

The customer service associate I dealt with, Oma Dawn, was very rude & pushy! I did an application less than a week ago to get a better interest rate on my auto loan. I had never heard of this company, but my Credit Karma account recommended them. Shame on me for not checking reviews/BBB. The entire encounter was very unpleasant. If you don't rush & I mean stop everything your doing in your life to get back in touch with them - they get mad. The message I got today was so extremely unprofessional & mean! I have never dealt with a company that treats their customers the way they do. Don't just take my advice. Check the Better Business Bureau website for all the complaints on this company. Lesson learned for me! Just a fair warning to everyone else. Go with another company!!

Was offered a refinance and accepted, after doing all the paperwork requested and getting it sent back to the Representative. He had failed to do his homework in understanding that the State laws in my state would not allow documentation the way he requested. So during this time he informed me not to worry about make my next car payment with my current company for as soon as he sends me a second set of documents that I have to print and fill back out while getting some of them notarized, Because the original documents were not acceptable by the State of Missouri. Second set is printed and done and now for the last 48 hours him and his associates have been bothering me during business hours while on my job requesting even further information to do employment verification's. All of the same information had been documented and given to them twice. The reason major corporations make you go through a third party and their website is they do not have the time or the resources dedicated to only serving your purposes

I was working with Josh at Rate Genius. We completed all the paperwork and were waiting for signed documents to come back. I received a notification that -- OH the lender did not realize it was a used car and the rate is now higher -- !! All the communications and paperwork submitted stated and indicated that it was a used car.
After complaints to the BBB the direct lender contacted me and made it right!

My car loan rate was cut in half and everything was done over the phone. I saved about $160 per month. My precious loan was quickly paid and this whole process was very easy. I would definitely recommend Rate Genius.

Filled out online application was given a quote for a new payment and interest rate then after talking to them they told me that my vehicle had to be 2010 or newer why they would have me go through the process and qoute me knowing that they cant help is beyond me.IF YOUR VEHICLE IS OLDER THAN A 2010 DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. They'll give you an excellent qoute then shoot you down, not to mention the millions of phone calls, emails and texts you'll get.

Rategenius was able to get my interest rate slightly lower and my payments $25 less a month. However it's a longer process than anticipated. Most forms had to be an original copy sent back via UPS. Which would have been fine if the reps at Rategenius sent me the correct form to begin with. I was sent, a few times, the wrong forms. There was never just one person in charge of my account. Everytime I had a question or concern, it was always responded to by a different person who made you feel like they were too busy to be bothered. It finally got done, but the lack of good customer service prevents Rategenius from more referrals and better reviews.

What a joke. They advertise their lowest rates for credit scores of excellent, good, fair, and poor. Fortunately, I fall into the category of excellent credit scores, which RateGenius confirmed by sending me their assessment of my credit. However, I was denied a loan based on some general reasons, nothing specific. Even if they had given me the best rate they claim for someone with fair credit (two tiers below) I could have saved thousands on my current auto loan. Would not recommend.

Rate Genius, Patrick in particular, is a life saver! Not only did they save me thousands of dollars in premiums for both my cars and home, but they were so great to work with. I absolutely recommend everyone get a quote from Patrick. You won't be disappointed.

I wish I could give 0 star. Started refinance process weeks ago, spoke with some guy over phone, uploaded all necessary documents including my driver license, w2 form etc. Then I haven't heard anything from them until today, I received an email they decided to close the case without any explanation? Not reliable at all.
