Great location, close to the center so you are there in a few minutes. Linguistically there were no problems with the staff who immediately understood what you wanted. The room was nice and quiet. From the food you can not complain, a decent breakfast buffet and a decent card in the evening.
Since it is close to the city center you are fast everywhere

Had a lovely room and the Hotel is very clean. Food was not good! Staff are not that friendly. My partner had mouldy bread for breakfast. I didn't get a chance to use the spa gym or pool

Disappointing hotel as the pictures of the room online, didn't match the room I was given. Especially the bathroom, which after talking to hotel staff they said was only in Executive rooms. Well then why would you describe that as a standard bathroom? They couldn't change my room either, and I ended up leaving for another local hotel as I didn't feel I was getting my money's worth.

This hotel is a few blocks from the city center, very well located, with a large parking lot for very comfortable cars.
the rooms are not a big deal but it complies perfectly. Without many pretensions.

We stayed at the hotel for a night with a room facing the reception entrance. What they did not tell us was that an event was taking place at the night and our room would fully hear, feel and see the party until 3am. Calling the reception several times led to nothing except the staff being rude to us for complaining about the noise. Never again

I want to be fair here - hotel was mostly amazing. Pretty good location (although it s a bit of a dodgy neighborhood, it is close to High Street, Eyre Square, and the waterfront. Food and accommodation were very good. However, I was leading a group of people and two suitcases were damaged by the porters. Things happen, I know, but to have to bags badly damaged shows real disregard on the part of staff for others personal property. Otherwise had an enjoyable stay. Particularly liked the hotel bar where there was a lively atmosphere for the Champions League Final.

The MHL Hotel Collection have a good portfolio of hotels but there are a number of issues that need to be addressed before they become bigger problems. I ve a feeling that profit over guest experience is the main goal. Long term restructuring would better achieve a more fulfilling stay for their guests as well as a profitable and well run hotel chain.

Parking in Galway is at a premium so you have to pay 9 a day to park in the Galmont Hotel underground car park which is badly laid out, the spaces are limited & very tight.

Making the initial booking directly with the Galmont for two rooms over the phone ended up confusing & the request was mixed up. The confirmation email only contained a booking for one room and we had to contact the Galmont again.

On the confirmation email you have to click a link to book dinner and breakfast. Neither of those bookings came through with a confirmation.

When checking in, we had to ask for the second room on the booking, which initially was a surprise to the staff and then they found it.

When checking in to one of the rooms, luckily the guests next door let us know that they were late night drinking buddies as they had left a huge tray of empty Guinness pint glasses, a bottle of wine and gin & tonic glasses outside their room.

The staff on the main desk were extremely helpful when I asked to switch rooms and explained why. As I was returning to the old room to pick up my bags, one of the porters was already swiftly removing the empty drinks tray. Godspeed new neighbours.

Had two nice pints of Guinness at the bar.
Crispy chicken wings were delicious for starters in the main restaurant. The meat in the burger was also very good. Eton Mess for dessert has very little cream (if you like it with lots of cream).

Breakfast has a selection of fruit in a dish (wrapped in cellophane), yoghurt pots, cereals & hot breakfast. You ask the chef for specific items, scrambled eggs or fried eggs, sausages, rashers etc and he puts them on a plate for you.

The toast, croissant and small danish basket, weren t fresh.

The towels need softener, they re good for exfoliating but are at the end of their use and need to be replaced.

The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is clean. The cleaners didn t hover under a moveable piece of furniture, when I pushed it aside I found wrappers underneath.

The lift software needs updating. Both lifts go to a floor when called, instead of recognising that the other lift has already picked up the initial caller.

Experiences I ve had in other MHL Hotel Collection are similar in that they are charging a premium rate, in once premium hotel locations but for a less than premium experience from this group.

LOVE THIS HOTEL! You walk inside and in but a moment you've entered this beautiful, modern oasis...your new home away from home...in one of the world's most extraordinary cities!! The reception desk staff are some of the most gracious and patient people I've had the pleasure to meet and interact with... They set the mood beautifully. Everything about my room was soothing, inviting and most comfortable and quiet!! My giant bed was sooooo equally comfortable and soothing after long days of walking all over Galway... Just saying! The breakfast buffet in the very nice dining room was quite delicious and full of choices that should appeal to even picky eaters. The staff aim to make everyone happy and I think they succeed beautifully! I highly recommend this well-appointed modern hotel and the great team of personnel who all make it tick with great ease and excellence! I also HIGHLY recommend you request a room overlooking the backside of the hotel -- overlooking the water and the extraordinary views and skyline -- you won't be disappointed in the least! Bravo Zulu, Galmont!!

Not good you guys! We waited for an hour and a half after check in for our room to be ready - the room was still not ready so we had to leave as we had plans and tables booked etc. We left our bags with concierge and had to get ourselves ready to go out in the PUBLIC TOILETS of the hotel. So our plans got cancelled pretty swiftly as we couldn't shower etc. We got back to the hotel and were put in a room that was so noisy (it overlooked the terrace of the bar) that we didn't sleep. It was our first time in Galway in a very long time and because of the Galmont it was ruined to be quite honest. I can't even begin to tell you guys how dissappointed I am right now. Waste of time, money and effort. STAY AWAY!!! There are plenty of other hotels in Galway that would appreciate your custom - the Galmont does not.

Went for lunch and to use the thermal suite. Lovely experience...only had soup and salad but both were delish and the brown bread was . Lovely thermal suites and relaxation room and also availed of the our door hot tub. We were there during the day and almost had the place to ourself but I could imagine it gets busy in the evening and weekend. Will definitely return

The bathroom in the room smelled bad, the sea view that we paid for overlooked the car park entrance and showed a tiny snippet of Lough Attalia....not a sea view.
The bar had a TV on with the sound muted, then music on that cut in and out constantly. Very unpleasant combo. Also, my partner forgot her phone charger in the room, the hotel say that it wasn't there..... So the cleaners took it. Our fault, but still, poor show..

I was at a function there last night. My daughter came to collect me around 1am and parked in a proper space, came in to tell me she was there and when we went out 20 min later she was clamped. 125 euro she had to pay. She wasn't causing an obstruction or anything. Greedy hotel charging for parking at that time of night.
Food for our function was awful. Never again.

Fabulous hotel and staff everything from check in was wonderful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Meal in the bar was very pleasant followed by a man playing on the piano, never got his name but he was excellect noticed a few people requesting him to play at parties they had coming up. Excellent stay will return

We booked in advance through a tour operator, unfortunately there was a communication problem. So our daughter (12 years) was not specified. The room we had was, according to the website, not suitable for an extra bed. After a call in the hotel we were told that this was not a problem at all. When we arrived, we saw that the hotel has practically rebuilt the room to put an extra bed. The breakfast, which was included for 2 adults, was also not charged, although I would have paid easily!

Location is great as its within walking distance from Eyre Square and city centre. Reasonably priced and decent breakfast, rooms leave a little to be desired and could do with tidying up a few things although they are clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful, food is decent but lots of places close by.

Second year staying in the Radisson Blu Galway. Excellent hotel, located near the train and bus station and in just a short walk to all the main city streets. The service and staff were great, very helpful and friendly. The hotel and room was spotless, breakfast was included with the room at no extra charge as well as the pool area.
The only real problem I had was with the key cards, they kept on stop working, I went trough five in three days, it became quite annoying.

I am not used to high-end accommodations, so I felt extra special staying here. This hotel was pretty amazing. The open elevator was fun. The beds were comfortable. And the breakfast buffet was delicious. Everything was top notch. They very kindly kept our luggage until later in the day so we could spend some time on Shop Street in Galway City.

The Spa would get 5 stars easily. Helpful staff, great facilities and exceptional treatments. Pure relaxation. The hotel however was a disappointment. Every member of staff we came across from reception, bar and restaurant were distant to say the least. Not one of them smiled once. The food was extremely lacklustre. Reasonably priced for a 4 star establishment but I couldn't finish my tasteless shepherd's pie, and I'm not a fussy eater. My partner didn't finish his chowder either. Many better chowders out there in the pubs of Galway. We ordered an extra side of mac and cheese to try to fill up but that too was disappointing. Fruit salad for breakfast was lovely but the cooked breakfast my partner had was dried and eggs not nice. Bed was absolutely amazing, the quilt, mattress and pillows made for the dreamiest night's sleep I've had in a long time. All other features of the room were outdated, worn or misplaced. Have used the spa in the past and will return many times again.

Staff are not very friendly and the bar staff are very slow and unaware of customers waiting. I waited for at least 2 minutes during a quiet period to be served while 2 barman wandered the bar with their heads buried in the floor and surrounding shelves. It was only the guy fixing the fridges who made the barman aware l was waiting to be served.
Not on my shift as a bar tender.

It's my second stay here. Great spot, attentive staff and the food is great. My advice is if you're coming here for the spa then make sure you book your in advance. I wanted to book in for a massage but both times there was no availability.
Great spot in one of (if not the) best city's in ireland

Peter our cocktail master went above & beyond at our cocktail making class as part of our recent hen party experience. He s was both fun and ultra professional and I have to say a great asset to the hotel.
