Beautiful spa uptown in Galway, the staff is so friendly and accommodating. I had the Cleopatra Milk Bath Treatment, and it was relaxing and hydrating after I got off the flight.

I got a warm welcome from the gentleman on the front desk on arrival. In the current climate I felt very safe, the hotel is very well organised. My room which looked down on the Corrib was immaculate,the bed was very comfortable - loved the pillows ! The food in the restaurant & the lounge was delicious. The staff all over the hotel were helpful & very polite.

This is unfortunately a three-star hotel masquerading as a four-star. It's clean, bright, airy and spacious, but the service was somewhat lacking.

Rooms: we had a family room - >king size bed and large twin beds. There were only round (European? American?) sockets on the bed side of the room (anyone with a sleep apnoea machine or wanting their phone nearby charging overnight would be screwed). Other side of room had two normal sockets - not enough for the two electric room heaters (needed!), floor lamps, minifridge, desk lamp, kettle - or things like our 4 phones and tablet...

Bar: Went to the hotel bar while waiting to check in (you can't check in until 4pm). Was told they didn't serve food there (it was the only place with a TV and I wanted to watch the France v Ireland 6 Nations game). At half-time, ran over to the restaurant where one person told me they couldn't bring food over to the bar; another told me of course they could (and she did). Better communication (and customer service!) needed. Bar counter was wet with spilled drink - only those waxy paper beermats available rather than actually absorbent ones. Nobody wiped down the bar counter while I was there.

Family had lunch in the restaurant, I got a sandwich delivered to bar - food was ok, nothing great.

Bar had usual Diageo brands, and local Galway Hooker Pale Ale on tap.

Breakfast is self-service buffet; unfortunately not many staff on, saw fried eggs were dry/congealed, other cooked food was lukewarm at best; waited 20 minutes for clean glasses to be brought out for juice. Disappointing, as a good 'full Irish' is one of life's treats when on holiday or a break.

Sunday night, Valentine's night, we were told they stopped serving cocktails at 11:30...

Parking charge of 5/day which is cheap, but obviously doesn't show up in room rate when comparing room prices. And to be honest, a hotel charging guests to park is just penny-pinching meanness.

Hotel is fine but what I don't understand is for a "five" star hotel in which you pay top dollar prices. You don't even get complimentary car parking. I've never known a hotel to charge guests for parking. Scandalous

Love it, great location, great staff, great food and great spa area

The entire hotel was amazing. The Marina restaurant inside the hotel was especially spectacular. Vincent, our server both nights, provided my wife and I with the best dining experience of our lives.

Hotel its self is lovely and the staff are very helpful. Food is yummy. The only thing I was very disappointed with was the room. Bed was nice but the room itself was tatty. Paint chips gone out of the wall etc.

Pleasant stay. A little dated and rooms are in need of some tic. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

It had a mildew smell. It was not clean. The window in our room had been leaking for some time. To get from check in to our room was 2 elevators and a very long walk ( from elevator to elevator and to the room). The bar was something else, dirty and no sign of cleaning at all. When we sat down in the lounge area food was in the seats, the table was dirty along with the floor. I would not stay here again even if it was for free. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in and the worst. Save your money and go elsewhere. I gave 1 star only because you are unable to give -5 star's.

Awesome! Just caught by an unpleasant surprise when we were greeted after a red-eye flight by the rude American front desk attendee - who felt the need to insult the intelligence and eye-sight of my aging parents. Most likely from either NY, PA, or NJ, each day he stared down at the computer, never acknowledging the groups of guests as they enter the lobby.. It's not just the disappointment that he's not the friendly person I expected. It's just - I try so much so they don't think they're old. If you work in hospitality, why talk so condescendingly to guests? That's the family's job.

Fine hotel, bar in one of the function rooms was serving stale beer, but they did change it for a better one was I complained

Stayed for 3 nights from 14 th oct to 17th oct, the rooms very clean and staff excellent and very friendly. Breakfast in the morning was very disappointing we were up early so the food should have been warm but everything was lukewarm and not very appetising, we decided not to eat any of the so called hot breakfast after first morning and just settled for cold meats and cheese. Don't think I would stay there again.

only issue was bill you 9.00 a night for car after pay 420.oo for two nights + couple hundred spending in bar on food and drinks.

Awesome facilities, nice breakfast and welcoming staff. Good location, you can get anywhere in the city center in 10 minutes tops on foot.

This is a great hotel I would go there again we went on a bus tour from hotel arran islands an cliff of moher

Sink and shower drained SLOWLY. Top of stairway from 4th floor smelled badly of mold. Sushi restaurant closed. Otherwise, not a bad stay.

Rooms were very clean and staff was very accommodating

Beautiful hotel with fabulous rooms. The outdoor hot tub is located looking out on stunning views. The location is perfect as you are within a very short walk of the city centre.

Horrible, Spanish people who see this comment please don't really go.
The spa is a scam the outdoor jacuzzi was with the frozen water and the indoor spa can not be called nor spa besides with quite cold water ...
And if I talk about the room, they put us in a room where we heard all the ventilations of the hotel we had to change rooms at 2 in the morning and the room where we were relocated did not work the heating and it was cold of a thousand demons. .. Above they tell us you have a view of the sea, we opened the window and were overlooking the parking lot, it is assumed that this room would be more expensive than what we have taken .... Our 170 per night !!! And the next day to put the claim nothing exists and no forgiveness gave us simply a 25% discount laughed in our face ... If you can avoid it ... It is also right next to a center for homeless people that in principle no problem, the problem came when two homeless drugged up to the bars to shout at us ... Total a bad experience in this hotel and the price an armed robbery ...

Whenever I'm in Galway I always make sure I have time to visit the spa. It has the best hamman of any hotel I've been in.

Not impressed. The front facade of institutional yellow brick looks nothing like what we saw online. Bathrooms were old and poor. There are nicer hotels right downtown. Otherwise, the common lounge was nice, food was good & service was great. And Galway is spectacular.

We were upgraded to a top floor suite as we were celebrating a special birthday. The accommodation was wonderful with panoramic views of the lake. The food was delicious however the service was terrible, we started our meal at 7pm and by 10pm we were ordering our desserts. Now in fairness there was a major function going on and the restaurant was full, so the staff were rushed off their feet, so really it was poor management/organisation. Now having said all the above I would still happily visit again.

Really lovely hotel. Our room was really nice . Staff lovely too. Great views from our room. Only fault was after paying 180 for our room parking was 9per day but we would stay again.

I can't understand how this is a 4 star hotel. The service is appalling. The room was fine, except the iron was broken. It took 5 calls to reception to get a replacement. My partner was hit on the head by a chair being carried by a staff member in the bar and when it was pointed out to him he didn't even apologise. The queue for breakfast was 25 mins despite numerous tables in the restaurant being empty but with dirty dishes on them. No staff were clearing tables. Friends who were also staying in the hotel ordered breakfast to their room. One breakfast was delivered instead of two. Checking out took an eternity with long queues. All in all, the facilities in the hotel are ok, but the staff and management are entirely incompetent. Avoid.

Have a problem with double payment on credit card that nobody will address have called 3 times and each time promised a call back....still waiting!

Favorite hotel of our trip. Modern, clean, A/C, great views, and good location. Easy walking distance to pedestrianized city centre but tucked away in a corner so it stays quiet in front and behind the hotel. Nice bar deck out back looking over the bay.

Pretty good stay at the Galmont, rooms are great, hotel modern and looks well. 5 min walk into the city, nice breakfast.

Cons:
* Have to pay for parking and get your ticket validated every time you come and go(being able to scan your room key would be better)

* Dinner in the main restaurant was just ok for the price, give it a miss and vist the great places in Galway city.

* Room is not servied during your stay so have to request if need clean towls, sheets, water ect..

* Pool was busy both times we went, booking is in place for covid but seems like there is too many people per session.

Room with balcony was big and comfortable... Business Class room was smaller but still good ... Pillow bed quilts were all very comfy... Services was normal... Location little off town center Walking distance around 10 minutes...

Best hotel breakfast ever - huge selection of food!!! Lovely comfortable rooms & lovely view. Enjoyed the swimming pool & spa treatments. Bar food was disappointing though.

It has everything you need on a gym and also a swimming pool!

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. We stayed here on two occasions. I recommend a room with a water view! In the room they offer a selection of teas and instant coffee. There are wine glasses provided in the room and bottle opener. Great dining options and room service in the hotel, but the location of this hotel is within walking distance to the city center, tons of yummy dining options, and shop street. It is also right across the street from the bus station, so if you're traveling without a car this hotel is in the best location you could ask for!

Had a really lovely stay here, the room was perfect, comfortable bed, the mini bar was great too. Staff were friendly and helpful. The outdoor Jacuzzi was so refreshing. Would definitely stay again.
