One of the most beautiful hotels in all of Ireland. The g Hotel & Spa offers gorgeous accommodations, a spectacular spa and service beyond compare. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff exceptional. If you're in Galway, this is the place to stay!

Very disappointed. It's an expensive hotel, build in the worst Celtic Tiger style. The breakfast is mediocre, the service so-so and the day we were staying there, there was no hot water. Lots of excuses but the hotel didn't volunteer to reduce the bill. We had to ask for it and that left a bad taste.

Great food and service. Was genuinely surprised that a place that put so much effort into its aesthetic delivered so well in the solid stuff. They appreciated the vegetarian requirements well.

Staying at the G Hotel was an absolute pleasure. The staff were very friendly especial the staff in the ESPA. They were very safety conscious and accommidating. The food was great. A little pricey but the servuce was great.

Good spa but overpriced hotel with subpar service for the five stars they boast. I went here for my anniversary with my girlfriend and asked to have a bottle of champagne, candles and chocolate brought up to the room as a surprise, and when we entered the room there was nothing there.

In the end (after having to explain the situation several times and a lot of stress) we received 30% off the champagne but the element of surprise was ruined.

Additionally, the location of the hotel is not great either, with one side of the hotel overlooking a parking lot.

Overall, I would recommend a visit to the spa, but definitely not a stay at the G. I've had much better service at more affordable hotels.

Booked online directly on their website, and only was able to select 2 adults. I call to ask about a roll-away bed for my 6 year old and they tell me on the phone late at night they are changing the rate for our stay since we didn't inform them about our kids. Our kids were with us when we checked in and they didn't say a thing. Not cool. We kept asking to speak to the hotel manager and kept getting pushed off as they weren't available. Finally as we were checking out we got the manager, showed them the website, that there wasn't an option to add children, that we didn't know about the added charge per child. They finally re-adjusted the room rate.

Aside from that drama, the hotel is nice, and the wait staff at the restaurant are great. I would also like to point out one of the hotel front desk folks printed out a great list of things to do in Galway with kids. So thanks!

Dined here for lunch and not 1 thing would make me return. Rude staff, rude wait staff, the place was dirty. It was so far from a 5 star hotel and experience. Little things that you would expext in any restaurant had to be asked for, we uad no drinks menu, there was no milk for our tea my cutlery was dirty and had to be replaced waited on the bill for 20 mins there was nobody around to pay. It was terrible. So disappointed after booking weeks in advance.

We were highly disappointed with the standard. You enter a carpark for the hotel which is surrounded by a run down retail park. We entered our room and directly in front of us was a view of PetMania. We had to stay with our curtains closed the entire stay to block this eye sore. We asked for a double room and got a single bed randomly placed in the middle of our room beside the double bed. The furniture was frayed and scored. After leaving for a few hours we came back to our room cleaned. The staff had clearly dropped complimentarys by mistake as there were random chocolates and slippers messily all over the floor of the room. The bar in the evening refused card and only accepted cash which was more than highly inconvenient. The pool was a 10 charge and had to be booked in slots which is not upto 5 star standards. We felt like little to no effort was made for our stay. The G hotel is definitely not aligned with its competitors in the country and shouldn't be rated 5 star. We dont reccomend staying here. Usually we spend all our time in the hotel that we stay in. However this time we left for as much time as possible as it was so disappointing. The only redeeming quality was the staff interactions such as Enda at the front desk.

Would stay closer into the city center next time. Men's underwear found in closet next to minibar. Told by colleagues they all had cupcakes in their room when they arrived...they said I wasn't missing out since most of them took only one bite. 4L flush never worked, thank goodness the 6l flush did. for being a more upscale place you would expect nibbles at the bar when drinking. luxury suite faces an "inner garden" which basically means the other windows to the other rooms when you have an entire side of the hotel facing scenic bay.

Professional friendly staff. Beautiful hotel. Only bad experience was the outside seating in the bar. Really poor decor , cheap decking which has weathered badly and been repaired by Peppa Pig by the look of it. Treatment in the Spa very enjoyable.Dinner in the restaurant was fabulous with a service second to none. Great stay overall

We recently had our Daughters wedding celebrations in the G and I cannot praise staff enough. They are a fantastic bunch of people couldn t do enough for us, nothing was a problem.
Food absolutely super 5* Quality once again cannot praise chef, waiting staff, bar staff..
I would have no hesitations recommending this hotel to any couple considering it as a venue for their wedding

Highly recommended. The breakfast is amazing and the staff are friendly and professional. We were one day late for our stay due to a mix up on our side but they honoured our reservation without any issue and at no extra charge.

We arrived on Friday 3rd July first day back for hotel and staff we felt special from the moment we arrived. We enjoyed a lovely two night stay in the G Hotel the staff were amazing nothing was a problem the food was delicious top quality even in these covid times was great to see the hotel open again and was evident that staff were trained to ensure visitors felt safe at all times each staff member wore a mask sanitizers in lots of location throughout hotel. There was a code on each table that you could upload menus to your phone to see food menus this was a great idea. Thank you we had a super stay will definitely be back soon

Galway is beautiful and this hotel is a great place to spend time while there. Individually and quirkily styled; with warm, high quality fabrics throughout. The staff are attentive and pleasant, the breakfast is fantastic and the shower is strong and hot. If you're visiting Galway then you'd do worse than spending some quality time here.

My children sent us on a night away to G Hotel last night, we didn't check in until after 7pm, the receptionist was very helpful, friendly and wished my happy birthday nice touch to start with. The Deluxe double room was very luxurious as you can see from the photos we had a lovely relaxed night.
The next morning we went for breakfast at 10.40am we were seated and asked if we wanted tea and toast which we agreed to. We placed our order of full Irish which was brought about 5 minutes later. The sausages were hard to cut not very hot and had a sour taste, mushrooms had been left in water too long, tomatoes was burned on one side for both mine and my partners breakfast. Their rashers and hash brown was the only edible foods. While waiting for breakfast we had a side of toast we had to ask two staff member for some toast to eat with the Full Irish also ask a second time for butter as did the couple beside us. I left 90% of my breakfast to the side and my partner left behind 50% of his abd decided he would go to the front room where you waited to be seated to have weetabix. The room was in two continental was first part of breakfast room the next room was for anyone having hot foods strange it's not all in the one area, people were walking in and out doors to have breakfast!
My partner waited 10 minutes for milk for his weetabix he decided to just leave them after having to ask a second time he had earlier asked this same staff member for water as there was none available he came back with tap water no ice!

The breakfast manager I'm presuming tall man with suit and glasses came to the table and asked can he clear it, took both plates and did not comment once about the amount of food been left on plates!

These may seem like petty complaints however it cost 378 for one nights stay at this hotel - 189 per person very disappointing not to mention your not even offered or given a front room to view the bay outside we were given a room over looking a car park

Really disappointed with my stay. I did not confirm over the phone that I would attend a spa treatment, and when I called to confirm I would cancel the treatment, they didn't answer and charged the full 95 euro to my bank account.

Furthermore, I received no communication about this, and when I called to query the transaction, the lady at the spa desk was incredibly rude. I was promised several call backs. I received none. I am so upset st this treatment, and despite calling several times, and promised call backs from supervisors and managers, there has been no follow up, and absolutely deplorable customer service. They are happy enough, and quite eager, to take your money, but don't care at all once there is an issue.

I really would not recommend staying here, and I would suggest any of the other beautiful hotels around Galway. All they care about is money, and they do not care about genuine customer service.

I was really disappointed with my stay at the G Hotel. Really shocked that is is a 5 star hotel as I would have much higher expectations for a 5 star hotel. The room we were staying in had both stained curtains and carpet as did the bar and lounge area. Breakfast was a disaster. We had a 10 minute wait to be seated as there was no sign of any member of staff to seat guests. When I went in search of a member of staff to see could we be seated, the restaurant had plenty of empty seats. The breakfast itself was inedible. It was extremely greasy accompanied by cold coffee and toast. The buffet was not replenished so items we would have liked were gone. The only positive was the staff who were really helpful and pleasant. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it.

The G hotel over looks the beautiful wild waters of Galway bay, even though the G looks like the Google logo I had the best time drinking their. The service is amazing, this watriess Niamh was very attentive and on top of keeping my glass full. I think everyone should get drunk at the G
