Plenty of parking. Nice lively hotel bar. Rooms are modern and too bottled of water provided each day.
The hotel is larger than you would think and our room was quite a distance from reception.

Easy access, ample parking (for a fee), and ideal for visiting Galway. Even with lots of seminars in the hotel, we felt comfortable.

Very nice home, very large and clean room, full breakfast.

Bar very nice for a drink in the evening and eat a small snack. We also tested the spa, very nice with top massages.

Small flat on the Executive Room, which was once closed, or more replenished, but nice for a quiet drink.

After, the night on the 5th floor is 265 , not negligible.

Excellent hotel everything from start of stay to finish was first class staff were very attentive and polite will defiantly be back only a five minute walk to town centre the girl manager from donegal was so informative 5 star for me

Amazing hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast was really nice. Food was lovely in the restaurant and you are only around the corner from Eyre Square

I loved everything about the Galmont. The food was great, and the service was excellent. The staff were wonderful they were all so pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble to them. Would definitely return .

Great location however carpark has a big problem with limescale dripping on cars leaving them damaged as happened mine.

Very disappointing the room was dirty cup stains on the lockers dust on the tv the shower would not work right there was skid marks still on the toilet bowl and hairs in the bath. At breakfast time I had to spend 10 minutes looking for a clean plate and that was enough to put the hunger of me. 600 Euro for 2 nights and another 16 Euro far parking was the icing on the cake it doesn t even deserve one star. B&bs in Ireland are miles ahead of these so called 4 star hotels.

Very good location, great buffet breakfast and a very good room.

Breakfast was a bun fight. Comfortable beds, accomodaring staff. Best evening meal for groups that I've ever experienced. Spa prices prohibitively expensive.

Friendly staff - delicious nibbles - diverse entertainment: mainly the band but with guests in their best dresses for the Galway Races dancing away to the music, you couldn't help but smile!

Great location and very nice staff.. plan away without a doubt for your next trip to Galway and enjoy the closeness to the city. I always liked staying at this hotel!

The Hotel is really nice. My only problem was that I couldnt have a brandy and port in the bar as there wasnt any port. The service in the bar left a lot to be desired. Otherwise it was a lovely visit

Me and my friend stayed one night. Hotel is renovated (at least some areas) and it turns out that it really is needed. We booked twin and access as there wasn't much to choose from booking last minute so we have picked two different rooms to see what would be the difference (I don't mind access rooms as I wasn't expecting it too be just way behind other 4* hotels standards). Selecting our hotel was based on location for this trip - which is perfect in fact. 5 minutes walk from the train station and located basically close to major places in town.
There wasn't anything outstanding about service we've received, however Brendan at the check-out was very customer service oriented - Thank You.

It seem to me it was one of the oldest and most "tired" floor / room / maybe whole hotel I've seen. Rooms are far from being enjoyable. White bulbs for daylight, yellow bulbs for reading (side lamp). Very few TV channels some with breaking image. No radio channels, no music channels no HDMI ports. Mirror placed too high to see yourself while sitting beside the desk - you would face bottom of mirror frame. Shower curtains too short - flooding whole bathroom after one shower (access rm). Towels gets wet too easily as they are too close and too low, no other place to put them. There was clothes retractable string dryer but too close to curtain and not usable for towels. Furniture old, noisy and very tired. Minibar was empty...sadly. Available toiletry was basically same products under different label (for example shampoo and shower gel).

Breakfast was served in to our room - hot and Fresh! Thank you.

On the desk, there was a letter explaining...renovation process - too much about the hotel and nothing about their guests. Hotel seem to proud of themselves but in fact there isn't much they could be proud about apart of one only thing that surprised me.
It's difficult to remember all places you would sleep in but I think they do have most amazing mattresses I was ever sleeping on.

While most traveling customers would agree that comfortable and enjoyable sleep is every hotel most important task, taking shortcuts with everything else wouldn't make me personally come back and recommend it - photography is main reason for my journeys and HDMI connectivity is as important to me as anything else most four star hotels does offer but not this one. I was not pleased reading that letter after seeing how poor my room was.

Had an unfriendly front desk reception from Dawid...grumpy!! He also gave us a room that over looked the top of the roof even though we expressed this was our first visit to Ireland and would pay more for a better view...laughed and said oh ok.
The rooms were dirty...finger prints all over the water/wine glasses & mirrors, gross tea kettle with food inside, only decaf available, mold all around shower/tub, NO sheets under the comforter, gym was dirty with dirty sweat on most equipment. Giving it 2 stars just because it's better than a hostel and it's location...close to shops/restaurants which where all great!

Shabby decoration, dated rooms. Nothing special. Overpriced for service and location. Disappointing experience.

A fantastic family friendly hotel...... But...... That lift system needs looking at. Whilst security is good if you haven't got your key card it can be a bit awkward. Hotel was nice to stay in bed was comfortable shower was good and the room we had , had excellent views.

The swimming pool facility was family friendly and great. There were some kid toys around for them to play with. The pool was not deep about 4.5 feet and there is a small toddler and baby section.

Beer was reasonably priced in the place. Sky sports needs working on very patchy!

This place is really close to the town centre.

Very quick check in, Evan was very efficient, friendly and professional. Room 154 clean & tidy. Breakfast room is very spacious, breakfast isn't of high quality. Ben looked after us for our tea & toast. Good man! I'm not a huge fan of hotel food, again the Galmont is no different. Everything is on the lower scale of quality. Scrambled eggs made in the microwave just destroys the flavour. Pre made pancakes & low quality bacon. We need people to actively challenge hotels on the quality of food as we pay a high price for a stay, the least we expect is a high quality breakfast. Come on Galmont, no more scrambled eggs in the microwave & increase the quality of the produce. Chefs serving breakfast were a great laugh.

The staff are amazing I can not say enough about their first class service and so helpful in every way.

Just a warning for American travelers used to AC. Some rooms do not come with AC. The lowered rating is due reporting a broken phone in the room and requesting an extra fan to help cool the room and after being told they'd take care of it nothing happened. Overall a decent hotel and a great breakfast.

Worst hotel in Ireland so far. Too expensive for the service you get.

It was ok. They forgot our room service, but did comp it to us once they finally brought it. On one hand, honest mistake, on the other, you have a job to do. The room felt as though updating was in order

Breakfast has something for everyone. Rooms are spacious with lovely bedding.

For start to finish it was perfect. All the staff where so helpful and friendly. The room was just beautiful lovely view really clean and so comfortable

On my visit the service was very hit and miss, food just ok.

Overall great hotel. The staff always willing to help, don't think they know the word no. The bar has just been refurbished. There is also a spa, pool and gym. I haven't used any of them so can't comment

Staff pleasant. Service slow. Food cold and ice cream correct temperature.

Spent two weeks there on business. Standard king room was cozy, well appointed, and quite comfortable. Working space was quite good, and power outlets abounded both there and throughout the room. WiFi and Internet connection was sufficiently speedy for multiple devices at the same time. Breakfasts were divine, and often served as only meal required. It was quite easy walking distance to all the sights and fun places the city had to offer. In August there were several tour buses full of one night stays (with suitcases in the hall by 7:00), but they were handled well, and I didn't notice a decrease in service quality.

We had a great time and all at the hotel are to be commended for there great service and welcoming manner under difficult circumstances. Thank you very much

A decent hotel with a reasonably good breakfast. Pool, hamam and sauna. On the downside, the air quality in the room was not good, especially in the bathroom. There are better places for these money, to my opinion.

Nice hotel, well located as you can easily walk in the city centre. Very helpful and friendly staff. Sometimes a bit too busy.

A lively place just one fault,, why is car park so dear,,,, for patron's

We stayed two nights at the Galmont Spa and Hotel in a family room. The room was nice but a bit cold at start but got better. Really good beds.

The breakfast was a classical one but good. We tried the pool and it was good. However kids below the age of 12 were not allowed to do anything but access the main pool. However there were some treats within the pool that made it a bit special. Bubbles and such.

The location was central but still a bit off. Nice parking spots in the garage for 9 euros a night.

We want to return...

Really like the spa, but attention to detail is important, maintenance needs improvement

Service excellent. Staff excellent. Food very, very good. Room very clean and comfortable. Easily 10/10.

My daughter and I stayed overnight and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were so helpful and nice. We booked into our room at 1pm and we were allowed to keep the car in the carpark next day till 9pm even though we had booked out. The hotel is conveniently placed for shopping in galway city.
A fantastic experience and we will return.

Had a great weekend stay here, with perfect location close to the city center and helpful and friendly staff. We will be back to stay on our next visit to Galway

This was the first weekend of opening after lockdown so it was a different experience than it would normally be. Based on that it was still a good stay. The staff were very friendly and coped well with dealing with social distancing, keeping everywhere clean etc. The food mostly very good, except breakfast food was a bit cold. The room was very comfortable and a nice size. It is in a good location, a couple of minutes walk from city centre. Would definitely recommend the hotel and look forward to returning when everything gets back to normal.

Left a jacket in the hotel and contacted Diarmuid and he was very helpful. He called me back when he had found the jacket and posted it to me.
