Feel Luxurious in the Venice of Rajasthan udaipur while staying in a hotel with a lake view

Awesome stay experience.. puppet show and folk song+dance in the evening is a must watch..

Please read this long review, trust me it will be worth your time.

Don't know why they call this hotel a 5-star hotel. Disgusting bathrooms and careless staff. Please see the photos for yourself. And we had booked no ordinary rooms, these were business class (3 rooms costed us Rs. 84,000 for 2 nights). If this is what business class is like I wonder what the other rooms are like. Fungus on the wash basin, stains on the floor and walls of the shower area and sewage like smell everytime the shower tap was opened. The drainage system seemed like it was blocked cause it took ages for the water to drain.

When you enter the hotel you feel as if you will be treated royally, such is the decoration in the lobby area. But no, that feeling ends in the lobby itself. After a lot of argument and making the management visit the room alloted to us, they agreed to change the room. But out of the 3 rooms we had, only 2 were bearable. The third one still had the problems of stained bathroom and disgusting smell. When we asked to change the room they said they can't because all the rooms are occupied by wedding guests. They said we can change the room tomorrow when few of the guests leave. So we said ok. Next day, nothing. No management showed up to change the room.

Now we were there for sight seeing so we left in the morning, hoping they will call us about the room change like they promised. But no one called. When we asked the management about it they said, sorry maam we don't have any rooms available. Urghh...

We had dinner in one of their resturants and noticed they had not served us complimentary papads, salad, bruscettas. When we asked them, the staff said sorry maam we forgot because we are very busy with the wedding guests. we payed an exhorbent amount to stay at that hotel and this is the service we got. If you are too busy because of your wedding guests then don't give rooms to your regular guests; stop the bookings for them if you cannot handle them. There were no tea stirrers provided for making tea. The complimentary fruit platter came with whole fruits, were we supposed to cut them?

When I complained to the management again before checking out, they said they were extremely sorry and the dinner we had will be free and the check out time will be increased. Seriously, that is all you offer to compensate for the lousy service and disgusting rooms you provided? Oh yes, they were also offering us free lunch and when we asked them is it going to be good because the last thing we want is bad lunch at this place; they suggested us a resturant outside of the hotel. So they are themselves not confident on the kind of food and service they can provide. Ridiculous!

Oh and the breakfast, boring! Service slow. Juices tasted like they have been in the machine for way too long. Puri's were oily and not at all puffy. Continental variety was a joke, it felt like they were serving left overs from the wedding party the night before. We survived on dosa's cause that was the only thing being made in front of you and seemed a bit fresh.

Trust me, it is better to go and stay at a 3-star hotel rather than wasting your money here. Oh and if there is a wedding going on, you are doomed. Cause they don't care about the other guests. They are busy making money with the weddings happening there. I am warning you, stay clear of this hotel!

The hotel is gorgeous...the architect is enchanting and the view is equally spectacular. The tikri mirrored dome and huge structure in the foyer is larger than life! However, personally we did have challenges getting the room booked for :(

Very a nice place to stay . Not an original palace . But I loved it anyways. There are always destination weddings happening . So it's a good place for that too,. It foresees the fatehsagar lake. I loved my stay, the rooms are adequate with all the modern facilities. Theres a pool too. Mostly the wedding parties book the full hotel . So room availability might be prune for tourists, I will suggest if you go as a tourist dont go in the wedding season which is in Nov dec Jan.
And yup they have very strict rules. My friends wanted someone to come in to do their hair. But they didn't allow her

We got our room's 2 hrs late, same thing happened with my friend's week before.

I don't recommend this hotel at all to anyone. I booked the lake view business class room for my stay but the room didn't had a good view, but a side tree view to lake. To my surprise the room had mosquitoes and to top it all the service was pathetic. I was woken up by hooting and constant yelling in adjacent room at 4 in morning and after complaining to hotel staff 3 times it took them 2 hours to get it under control.
Felt like staying in a roadside hotel having such issues. As they host destination weddings so for them only priority is their wedding guests and no importance to regular guests.
Highly disappointed by choosing Radisson Blu for stay in Udaipur.

Horrible, consider it a 2star hotel, poor service, unclean , glasses were dirty, I asked manager to change them, he felt sorry for that and left but they gave the same glasses back to me after washing them and they were still unclean.The rooms are like a lodge. I will not recommend it to any one .
I am also thinking of complaining against them because they claim themselves as 5 stars

It's very beautiful destination for spending holidays.... Spending money here is was worth it. Staff was very helpful and a lot of facilities and amenities were also provided. Place is very huge and had too much public. Not a very quite place ...

Good rooms ... great breakfast spread ... Aravali the roof top restaurant is a real delight... excellent food

I don't like big hotel because no any facility for driver no washrooms for use for driver this is not good ,
The guest never thinks that the driver will stop and said that he will never sleep even in the hotel, what is the arrangement of the driver, the hotel does not provide anything for the hotel driver, why does the driver not provide a human being even with the animal Batar treats him with a hoil, does the hotel staff not go to the washroom, does the hotel staff not make a mistake, are the hotel drivers more money who double behave? . Only guest here no dormitory for driver

3.5 stars:-
1. Rooms are good, price quite high, if you can afford such prices, then you will find better options around here.
2. Staff appears very pre-occupied.
3. Luxury hotels should not shut down their re-creational activites, even when functions like weddings etc. are organised. We stayed at a time when some sort of marriage function was being organised, however most of the facilities were closed for other guests.

Lovely and comfortable stay with all safety and hygienic protocols by staff...tasty breakfast and dinner with huge variety in NeelMahal restaurant... courteous staff...very well enjoyed our stay at Radisson Blu, Udaipur

It's not really an awesome property, especially when you compare it to some other Udaipur hotels, but for the money, it's a decent place to be. They charge Rs 500 for both sauna and steam, which is usually complementary...

Smell in room, exhaust fan is not working. TV was not walking. Phone is dead. It is a horrible hotel.

Its really peaceful and tranquil area near the Sagar Fateh Lake and staff are awesome and food are also good .

It is a good place. It has good room service and hotel is wrll maintained. Its new rooms like rajwada which shows rajathani culture were exceptionally well. It has a swimming pool, we can play chess, table tennis, cricket, polo and many other things. It was a great experience to live in hotel. The hotel was good because of its architecture and the view which we get from the hotel. The river was just across the hotel and the cool breeze from river entertained me.

The stay was okay, not as expected. There are other better resturant in same price.

Must visit with your family

We had a family dinner at the rooftop restaurant. Great view of Lake Fatehsagar and encircling road around it with lights looked like a glittering diamond necklace! Good food accompanied by live performance of sitar and flute added to the experience.

Mesmerizing view from my hotel in udaipur-its radisson blu. Back side there is sajjangardh and in front side there is a fatehsagar in the view ..

For the tariff that I paid, the room was excellent however we were asked to change our room on the second day due to an "AC issue" which we never felt. The views were great and so was the hotel grounds. The staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast buffet was not so impressive and there were no ham or any other cold cuts. The parking fills up pretty fast and construction of an extension to the current parking space is underway.

One of the best place to experience a 5 star level... Finest place to organize your event specially destination weddings. Staff behaviour is too good .. Best Hospitality.

Good trained staff ,Swimming pool is clean and big , Restaurant food is also good ,Just one problem that is my balcony view...otherwise I liked it !!
