The best thing in advance, the staff is very friendly. The communication and the service are completely useless. The restaurant was closed despite statements to the contrary. Food could only be ordered in the room and was - even under Corona conditions - simply lousy. The amount of audacity arose in relation to the price, where over CHF 400 was estimated for one night, without any service worth mentioning and poor gastronomic quality. When asked about this, the conciergerie only used a few apologies, as an honest discussion of our criticism. I will most likely never book a Radisson Blu again, certainly not the one in Lucerne.

Disappointed: room "overlooking the lake" not very interesting, it is not worth the supplement, and small too!
Restaurant closed in the evening, breakfast with little choice. Bar closed! Bus lines only at the station.
Only the contemporary decor and the cleanliness are positive.

Clean room, very friendly welcome, nice decor. Coffee machine in the room did not work properly, nescafe powder had expired, no coffee cream available. During the booking process, we made sure that we book a hotel that has a restaurant, because the reason for our hotel booking was to indulge our culinary delights when the restaurants were closed. When we checked in we wanted to register for dinner on site. However, the restaurant seats have long been booked, it said. More guests are checked in than you can accommodate in your own restaurant if the restaurants are closed due to corona. This was in no way apparent in the booking process, but it was clear that a restaurant was available on site. We then had to order a take away delivery service, which was very disappointing for us. We could have enjoyed a nice day in Lucerne even without an overnight stay with self-catering. Pity!

Contemporary hotel badly in need of updating. May have been cheerful at one time, but no more. Dining room food was mediocre at best. Restaurant and bar service was indifferent. One had to chase the servers.

Furniture in public spaces was worn and soiled. Veneers on the dining tables were chipped and coming off. Bar and lobby seating was uncomfortable.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a good size with decent fixtures. A clogged shower drain was repaired promptly upon request. Cleaning and turn down service was prompt and adequate.

The location near the train station was very convenient for walking downtown. Front desk service was superior.

Four or five stars is an absurd rating. Three will be a stretch if the hotel isn t refurbished soon, and improvements made to the food and service.

The room was very comfortable. You have an additional 5 min walk into Lucerne, but you're along the lake the entire time. Only complaint was that the shower ran hot/cold in pulses on its own.

It's okay.

Modern American style hotel in Lucerne. Rooms were very large, comfortable and modern. Location is right on the lake, with a 5 minute walk along the lakefront to downtown Lucerne. There is also a steamroom and sauna onsite.

Can only agree with my wife ... so just the same rating. Han sennah will also evaluate separately.

This was by far the worst 4 star hotel I have ever stayed in.
We had a total of 2 rooms, we asked if both were exactly the same, but they said yes, but one was with a bathtub and one with a shower!
The shower was completely clogged so that the hotel staff had to pump it up first. In addition, the remote control did not do the staff had to come 3 times until it finally worked.
In the room with a bathtub the minimum was not stocked at all, so we didn't even have water ... there is currently no restaurant in the hotel that has room service so you had no choice but to drink from the tap.
Accordingly, we were looking forward to breakfast, unfortunately that was another disappointment. The bun was hard as a rock and looked like a baked-up bun, my ordered hard-boiled egg was brought completely liquid 2 times after that I gave it up ... there was also hardly any choice and all fresh things were already wrinkled and it looked totally unsavory.
Once and never again !!!!!!!!!

This was such a convenient location from the SBB station which was one of my criteria to find a one-night stay over. Also liked the anonymity since I was a solo traveler and did not care to socialize with couples and families in a smaller boutique hotel. The room was very clean and well-appointed. And I especially appreciated the relative quiet I experienced. The lakefront room allowed me to monitor the fog and seize the day when it appeared clear. I liked that I could crack open the window to allow fresh lake air into the room in the evening. (Double pane set-up was invisible - so don t worry totally safe)

It is supposedly a 4 star hotel. 2 rooms for one night cost 750 Swiss Francs. The rooms are not clean and have an Ikea charm. But the worst: extremely loud disco grumble. Not able to stand it, not endurable. Definitely not book this "hotel". It's an outrage.

Nice hotel and good service
Close to the city centre everything nearby and also cheaper with all the facilities included

Beautiful hotel even if little cared for being a 4 star, but we blame the covid. Anyway we will be back. Friendly and qualified staff. It was my birthday and they gave me a super welcome by offering a bottle of prosecco in the room, a handwritten greeting card and a nice cadeaux.

The room was large and well appointed. Expensive like every thing is in Lucerne. But it was a great location near the lake and the train station. Also only 1/2 Km. To the heart of town.

Good

Beautiful hotel, neat and modern decor.
The room was spotlessly clean, spacious bathroom and shower, well soundproofed.
The hotel is well located, 5 / 10min walk from the center.
The staff are very professional but do not speak French.
The hotel's covered parking is expensive but no more than any other parking lot in town.
Breakfast is quite expensive, but the buffet is well stocked and very complete.
Hotel to recommend

A group of us checked in at once, all the room keys were handed out and not one of them worked the first time.
Most of the rooms looked like they hadn't been used in awhile, dust bunnies and garbage left in the waste cans.
Towels and linens looked like they hadn't been replaced in years.
Our room faced the railroad station and yes we never heard the trains
we couldn't open the privacy blind as there was a walkway 100 feet from our window.
The room was very warm, the thermostat did not work, luckily there was a floor fan.
The furniture was plastic and uncomfortable which consisted of a desk chair, little round table and chair. The coffee maker made cold coffee.
The breakfast was poorly done, cold eggs, sausages (looked like them) had to continuously ask for what we needed as they couldn't keep up with the demand.
Felt sorry for the staff as they did try.
Asked for a new room right away and was told they didn't have one but another member of the group whose room was right beside us got switched.
Loved the size of our room and the hotel was close to the lake

This stylish business hotel is just five minutes from the Lucerne main train station. Great location to explore old town Lucerne and the lake. The rooms are modern, clean, spacious, and quiet. Breakfast is great. On the ground floor is a bar and a restaurant. On the top floor is the fitness room.

Room was super clean and well designed, and seemed very new. Location was right by the lake and by the main train station, so amazing location. Service was alright, but everything seemed overpriced (breakfast, etc.)

The hotel is superb !! The rooms are newly renovated, modern and very clean.
The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The bar is very nice, very friendly bartender Mr. Habab (with Magic Hands) great cocktails, the best in a long time.
Had an Aperol Luzern and Amaretto sour, both very tasty and can only be recommended.
Thanks everyone

Beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms, and perfect location. The hotel is 5 minutes from the station which made it so much easier to go on our day excursions. Would definitely stay here again :)

Also be sure to ask for the free travel bus pass and free 2 day tell-pass (we got it as a special offer for winter bookings jan-march 2018).

Location: ideally behind the train station, 5 minutes on foot
Premises: modern building, good facilities, nice room. However, the view is limited depending on the location and floor.
Service: extremely friendly, helpful staff
Unfortunately, the restaurant and bar were closed due to Corona.

The Redison is in my opinion one of the most beautiful hotels in Lucerne. Price and performance are not fully justified. The breakfast is really good, although better in the past. At the moment the locking system is crazy which is annoying because you have to change the card 3 times a day.

See you guys next year .

The 5th floor of the hotel is simply perfect, and you can see the distant mountains through the school in front.
Breakfast is self-service, lack of necessary anti-epidemic measures, and guests did not consciously keep their distance. The crowd was very full, with only two service staff, it was pitiful

I spend 3 night on Sep.2018 it was a good hotel of Lucerne city center but there are no good mountan view rooms. They provide medium breakfast. They are arranging city tour , boat ride and alps mountains visits as well

Please accept my apologies for letting my brown self enter into your hotel. Clearly I should have won the genetic lottery and been born a different color to deserve normal treatment from your front desk staff. Like instead of catering to and apologizing to the gentleman who barged in front of us in line about having to do two things in parallel (note that we were standing there without a word for a good 5 minutes before we pointed out we just needed to check out, we were first in line). Or the fact that I'm greeted with "what do you need" instead of Hello when I say Gruetzi the day before. Or not being asked when we're going back to India (we're Indian Americans) they day we check in. Thanks for allowing me to spend my brown money here, I promise I won't trouble you again in future with any of it and I'll make sure no other brown or black acquaintances bother you with their money either. Such a pain to deal with us non-whites!

P.S. abysmal front desk service aside, the room was quite nice and the location can't be beat. Europcar is right at the hotel for convenience and Radisson has after hours dropoff. In room food service was great, Thai food was delicious.
