Radisson Blu Hotel Luzern Review

Beautiful, elegant and modern but the fault is that it is away from the wooden bridge 8 minutes walk and about 12 minutes walking restaurants

Beautiful and spectacular, wonderful facility near the Lake, excellent comfort for everything, attentive and ultra perfect staff, a breakfast buffet is a thousand and one nights .. Absolutely recommended

A nice modern hotel in the city. Very close to the train station but because of the station layout it is quite a walk to get to anything in the city itself. I would probably pick a hotel more in the city downtown next time.

As a family, I recommend taking one of the suites. Lots of space and well equipped. 70m2 and you can separate the bedrooms with sliding doors. Very pleasant restaurant and staff, the menu is restricted, this is due to Covid restrictions. I recommend the beef entrecote which was great! Of course there are hotels with a prettier outdoor environment but not at a price-performance ratio like this.

The function room was furnished noble, the food was very good. Service was not always 100% present.

First impression:
-30min wait until check-in
- Waste not emptied (including cigarette butts, which give the bathroom a smoky ambience)
-Hole in the bedding (pillow)
-Nice staff (therefore not 1 star) ..

Update: Despite a nice request at the reception, the rubbish was not emptied ... so there is a smoky aftertaste that spoils the experience as a whole. The staff was very friendly & helpful, and the food was good to very good. Therefore 3 stars.

Great room, the restaurant has fine food ... I recommend the entrecote that was very fine ... Top location in centigrade next to the train station and next to the lake ...

The hotel is nice with a very good location near the station. The rooms are spacious with good view on the lake and the breakfast is really good.

I would have given this a 5-star rating except i had some problems with the staff. They didn't clean my room for the first two days eventhough I didn't have the "do not disturb sign" on the room. However they solved the mistake and cleaned my room for the rest of the stay.

Also onetime we came back at midnight and all the cards for 4 rooms weren't working and there was no staff at the lobby. We waited a bit and looked behind the desk to check for any information when suddenly a guy came barging and being very aggressive in his tone telling us to get back behind the desk and making it feel like its our fault. He we very disrespectful to me and my family. He explained that there was a sign to call reception on the desk but we didn't see it at fist. Still it doesn't give him a reason to be aggressive. He could have just calmly helped us and explained that there was a sign and there would have been no hard feelings.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. We arrived at 10:30am after a long journey and our room was ready. The hotel was situated by the lake and was within a 5 minute walk to the train station as well as major city attractions. The hotel room was very large and spacious (American style), with all the comforts we are used to.

Very.modern modern hotel in.Luzern located nera train.station and can also walk to Chapel bridge.in 12,mins only.

We booked the wrong date but Radisson Blu found us another hotel. They went above and beyond to find us a place to stay. Thank you R:B!

Good beds good breakfast, what more does a man want

Nice rooms, the breakfast was very rich and tasty despite Corona.

This is a funky art deck, mid 60's atmosphere. The staff was friendly & professional. The rooms were average. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the shopping & restaurant areas.

The spoon provided was extremely dirty and not safe to use.

It was a great stay in July 2018. Excellent location , walkable from train station. Suite was ultimate with lake view from full size windows on two sides. Supportive staff.

The hotel rooms were very nice and clean. Would have given 5 stars but they never had washcloths for us, one for 2 nights was it and the staff for the breakfast bar was indifferent and they ran out of many items often.

Very close to the train station and the river, big advantages. So convenient to get to the various attractions. The rooms are of reasonable size and pretty new. Prices are high, but again, this is Lucern, where every hotel is expensive. So, reserve early, compare!

The reception in the hotel was very solid, the staff at the entrance was well dressed and courteous. At the bar we were served quickly and the staff was just as quick and attentive. The Chardonnay is to be recommended as well as the Caribbean rum.

The best of the Radisson Blus. Newly renovated and the bar selection is great with friendly staff all around reception bar and breakfast. Great value for the centre of Luzern!

Very nice and modern rooms. As a non Swiss, the prices are getting used to at the beginning. The breakfast is rich and good. Likewise, the conference halls are well equipped.

The hotel is well located 8 min from the train station, there is a beautiful view from the lake, the room it was very comfortable and clean, the hotel structure is quite new, with sauna and a gym centre accessible, tap water available at the gym and coffee machine in the room.

The entrance area with the ashtrays and garbage bags on the sides is anything but inviting, and I have to say that as a smoker. It was only cleaned up after 2 days. The guests are complicit in this, but if there is no smoking room or a sheltered place in the entire hotel, you go quickly, quickly to the door. Then something should be looked at there.

Then there are already opened (!!) (mineral) bottles in the minibar and refilling the minibar is apparently not normal either.

The shower is so full of water after 30 seconds that you don't know whether the entire bathroom is now under water (maybe clean the drain once? Yuck!).

And if you are on the 5th floor you have to endure the noise from the tenants above. And that until late at night.

I have stayed in youth hostels that - with the exception of the room facilities - offered better services and a cleaner hotel.

The Radisson Blu Luzern is definitely not to be recommended and will be on the cross-list for me.

The service is very courteous and uncomplicated.
The location by the train station and close to the city center is perfect for exploring the city center.
Breakfast is the standard Radisson breakfast.
The rooms are spacious and modernly furnished.

We only stayed at this hotel two days after our river cruise, and the room was a good size, very clean and comfortable. The buffet style breakfast in the restaurant there was a good selection of food and choice of coffee from the machine quite a reasonable start for the day. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first evening and this was expensive and disappointing. On the second evening we ate at a nearby Thai restaurant and the food and service was very good.

Oh I'd love to stay here again, very close to all the major sites in town extra clean very courteous staff and just an ideal location

Very disappointed with this hotel.

The room was only cleaned after we had complained that it was not clean and dusty. We expected more from the premium room and we believe that the hotel did not properly understand the premium in terms of furnishings.
The breakfast could have been better and with more choice.
The restaurant was closed (also for hotel guests). The person at the front desk said we could order a doner kebab or pizza in the lobby ... That's a cheek! There was also no cutlery in the room. In addition, many take-away's were closed over the festive days / old year's week and we had to eat from the train station (with only two open shops).
The wellness, which was included in the price, was also closed.

Despite two complaints, the person at the reception told me she would clarify it with the manager and let me know. I'm still waiting for the answer ...

This was by far the worst 4 star hotel I have ever stayed in.
We had a total of 2 rooms, we asked if both were exactly the same, but it said yes, but one was with a bathtub and one with a shower!
The shower was completely clogged so that the hotel staff had to pump it up first. In addition, the remote control did not do the staff had to come 3 times until it finally worked.
In the room with a bathtub the minimum was not stocked at all, so we didn't even have water ... there is currently no restaurant in the hotel that has room service so you had no choice but to drink from the tap.
Accordingly, we were looking forward to breakfast, unfortunately that was another disappointment. The bun was hard as a rock and looked like a baked-up bun, my ordered hard-boiled egg was brought completely liquid 2 times after that I gave it up ... there was also hardly any choice and all fresh things were already wrinkled and it looked totally unsavory.

Upon arrival, I was told that I will be getting a room with a mountain view. After checking in, I was given a room facing the courtyard with no view at all. Check in time was 3PM, but room wasn't ready till 3:30PM! Extremely disappointed! I asked for one king bed and was given a room with two twin beds. Unfortunately will have to stay here for two nights! However, I must say that this place is extremely clean and has a great location.

We had a fine stay but the services seems not much expected... There was a delay in handling requests...more over the rooms are neat and clean..but seems to be small as considered...

I make a point of evaluating the Hotel Radisson Blu Lucerne with total appreciation. Exceptional service. The staff made us feel at home struggling to serve us well. The rooms are large and have a bathtub to relax after a long walk through the beautiful and charming city of Lucerne. The breakfast is perfect and very varied. The structure and location of the hotel are perfect as it is close to several sights. The only thing I would suggest as a suggestion is to have some Portuguese and Spanish speaking staff think this makes a lot of difference for those who do not speak other languages. My thanks to the whole team.

Even if I asked for a change of 1 sheet, I wouldn't change it. It seemed like the policy was not to go, so I asked him to change it about once every two days, but he only changed it once.
On a rainy day, I asked for a change because I wanted to sleep on a soft futon.
If the policy is not to change, it may have been stated that long-term stays offer discounts instead of replacing sheets and futons. If that's not the case, shouldn't we have to replace it immediately when we ask for it?

I was 2 years old, but they only gave me two towels, so I asked for more small towels, but it took an hour more to bring me three towels. This is a 4 star hotel, isn't it too much?

My comments were shared in previous post but I failed to provide a star rating. Giving this a 1-star only because they realized they should not charge me for canceling because their rooms really are bad.

Fairly modern looking, but water was milky. Didn't have floor mats in the toilet.

Nice enough rooms. Good locality. Horrible service after 22h00 - hardly anything is available, including the 24h room service menu - so make sure to eat before 22h00...
