Radisson Blu Hotel Luzern Review

Very kind and helpful staff, central location next to the train station where a number of convenient shopping and dinning options are available in the lower and street levels. Contemporay energy efficient facility with comfortable rooms

Really nice modern hotel with friendly staff. A bit out of the way but located close to the train station. The only fault we could find was the need to give the carpets a good clean as they were stained.

Nice clean hotel with , great location and friendly staff, i enjoyed staying here what i recommend you must du in this hotel to go the Hotel Bar and take a drink from the tattooed Bartender , What a magical , talented bartender and i got the best Old Fashion of my life from this guy .

I ordered a pizza with bresaola and a Coke with room service, after at least an hour and a half and 2 calls, I get the pizza and I point out to the "waitress" who misses the coca-cola .. I find the pizza and I I realize that it is not with bresaola but with raw ham (being a Muslim I do not eat pork). I call the reception, inform him of what has happened, and keep on repeating that above the pizza there is bresaola and not raw ham, making me pass for an ignore. After 5 minutes they knock on the door and the "waitress" brings me a coca-cola and a plate with bresaola on top (with the aim perhaps to remove the ham and put the bresaola ?? today is still a mystery). Anyway, I order another pizza with bresaola and after an hour it arrives. In a few words I ordered at 6pm and I ate at 9pm. I ate pizza and checked out without even spending the night there. NEVER AGAIN.

In the city, very easy access to train, Bus and other Transport. Shoping at main railwaystation is open till 22:00 pm and thats on walking distance.

It is a 4 star hotel. However, the standard does not match other hotels in this category, especially in the beautiful and luxurious Luzern.
The hotel is unattractively situated from the outside. In the room worn out equipment and dirt and dust. At breakfast an hour before closing time, there was a shortage of food that was not refilled. The service was average, it made an impression of being busy and impatient. When I asked for bread, they told me it was gone. After these words, the door to the kitchen opened and a rack with large loaves appeared ...

This hotel was fantastic, they let me borrow a plug since mine did not work when I arrived in Europe. The hotel was phenomenal, clean and the people were helpful. I would definitely stay again. The location allows you to get around wherever you need to go. There is a bus station about two blocks from the hotel.

Spacious room and bathroom. Love the Nespresso machine with capsules in the room. Conveniently located with just the main train station 5-7min walk away.
Gym located on 5th level was small but adequate. Mainly machines with light weights.

Loved it, absolutely loved it. Very clean and maintained hotel. Great location, walking to the Lucerne port. Grand hotel with very comfortable rooms. Quick service and good food.

A hotel with fantastic views, close to the train station which is such a bonus. Book early or you will miss out. Trains from here will connect you to the rest of Switzerland. Service is very good. We had a small problem with the bathroom tap, but it was sorted straight away. If you have to be really picky, I would say there probably was a tiny lack of attention to detail, but otherwise great stay. Highly recommended.

The food would be good, the service left a lot to be desired. The soup would be put on the table as a pot and we had to scoop ourselves. Maybe this is called "event gastronomy"? The pre-ordered menus took a while and the tables were cleared before we were done.
I found it uncomfortable!

Very pleasant hotel, location is a bit hidden behind the station but has a short walk to a park with a view on the lake. Rooms are perfect, bathroom had a bath which was great for the kids but makes showering not very convenient. Breakfast was great.

Great shop. The ice tea is really recommended. The lounge is quite cozy. The price is right.

Excellent hotel location in terms of convenience and very honest staff. They are not interested in making a quick buck. They will rather send you to western union office at the train station for better rates on money exchange than try to fleece you.

We had a great, spacious double room. The bed was very comfortable and the staff very friendly. Only the breakfast buffet was a bit tight. Hence a minimal point deduction. Check in and check out very easy.

Got upgraded to a business class room without asking. Perfect! Amazing location. Right behind the Lucerne train station. Very helpful staff and rooms were nice and cozy.

A very upscale hotel. Very helpful staff. Rooms are very modern. Loved the welcome message when I entered the room on my TV screen. WiFi is very fast. Its just that the washroom have a big gap in its glass door. If you are sharing a room with a office colleague then its a bit embarrassing

The entrance area with the ashtrays and garbage bags on the sides is anything but inviting, and I have to say that as a smoker. It was only cleaned up after 2 days. The guests are complicit in this, but if there is no smoking room or a sheltered place in the entire hotel, you go quickly, quickly to the door. Then something should be looked at there.

Then there are already opened (!!) (mineral) bottles in the minibar and refilling the minibar is apparently not normal either.

The shower is so full of water after 30 seconds that you don't know whether the entire bathroom is now under water (maybe clean the drain once? Yuck!).

And if you are on the 5th floor you have to endure the noise from the tenants above. And that until late at night.

I have stayed in youth hostels that - with the exception of the room facilities - offered better services and a cleaner hotel.

The Radisson Blu Luzern is definitely not to be recommended and will be on the cross-list for me.

Good start for a 7 day train tour

The rooms were very nice. For the second night we had in a room an extra bed ordered, this was unfortunately not ready and had to be brought to 01.00. But that worked fine then. A little disappointing was the bar, on the first evening it took a long time to be served, on the second evening we wanted a beer, the tap was cleaned. We would have expected the guests to be informed before closing, especially as our glasses were empty for a while. On Sunday we were still sleeping at 08.15 the cleaning lady came to knock again 5 minutes later ... Everything was not bad, in the sum but for a hotel of this class a bit disappointing.

It is easy to go to the suburbs because it is close to the central station.
The room is not large, but the facilities are tidy.
Breakfast is recommended.

Very comfortable and quiet (except during breakfast if you chose the moment when a group is attacking the restaurant). If you can, better have an early breakfast. It s really worth. The breakfast buffet is really good. As I said, the hotel is very quiet, comfortable and with a good room service. I would also add that they have a very good fitness area: small but very well conditioned and with enough machines to carry on with your weekly gym activities. Check-in and check-out is normally fast and easy. Personnel in the reception is very professional.

The rooms look like an IKEA showroom. They are of similar quality as well. It was clean overall and we had a beautiful view of the mountains from our room. The air-conditioning kept us nice and cool. The downside is that this place seems to nickel and dime their customers. For example, a small bottle of water cost something like 12 Francs. It was price gauging like I have NEVER witnessed. In their defense, this is on par for the rest of Lucerne, but it just left a bad impression after how much we already paid to stay.

P.S. You can get a huge bottle of water at the train station grocery store for 1 Franc if you're thirsty :-)
