The annual maintenance done by Todd Leone was very thorough and well-explained. The system has performed very well, and Todd was personable and efficient in his work. He notified me about the humidity level in the basement as part of his protocol (I had turned off our dehumidifier during the maintenance). We are very happy overall with the system and the people who support it.

Quality 1st Basements sent senior service technician Collin Peare on-site to my house today for an annual check-up and cleaning of a sump-pump system installed over 10 years ago by them. The system has worked without issue since installation, but performing an annual inspection is always a good idea and can bring up any issues not apparent to a home-owner.
Collin arrived on time, and even called ahead to let me know an estimated time of arrival. He answered all my questions regarding the current status of the pumps, battery, and overall health of the equipment. He thoroughly inspected and cleaned the pumps and replaced the battery as well which was way overdue for care.
Overall, I am happy with the service and will continue to utilizer their services and recommend them for crawl-space and sump pump solutions.
I ve had the Basement System for just about 15 years when the pump finally had an issue. Justin from Quality 1st was able to respond within a few hours. He replaced the entire pump system with the battery backup in about an hour, and cleaned up as well. So, in the middle of the rain from 2 straight days my system worked flawlessly, and then when it had a mechanical failure, Quality 1st stepped up and saved my basement from flooding for sure. The job in my house was pretty big and we had three different crews working on different things. The number of crew members was always 3, but one of them was always highly experienced and one of them was still in the process of learning. I specifically would like to mention the crew of Esau which came first. Their job was so hard, but they did not relax at all until they completed it; the second team of Fernando Cardoza worked also very hard and the third crew of Mario Barron came recently to complete the job working until 7:30 in the evening without any complains and only smiling. For all of crews I can only say thanks, for your excellent job.
All the crews cover the stairs, some furniture left in the basement and all of them clean thoroughly after finishing the job. No garbage was left for us to take care of. Very helpful.

We had Quality First basements encapsulate our crawlspace and install a dehumidifier. We've had the system for a few years now and we're very pleased. The install went very well, the technicians were very pleasant, professional and on time.
Each year they come out to check on things to ensure the system is performing as intended.
Just this past week John, the service technician, came out to perform the annual check.
He called when he was approximately 30 minutes away, arrived on time, wore protective footwear so as not to mark up the carpet. He was very pleasant to deal with and provided a very professional appearance.
He spent about 30-40 minutes checking things out; cleaned out the sump area for the dehumidifier, changed a filter and did an overall check of the system.
I would recommend this company to anyone who is considering their services.
We had Justin W. perform our annual service this year and he was great! Called 30 minutes before his arrival, introduced himself and handed me his business post card which includes a picture of him. During the service he was clean and respectful of our home. Once he completed the service he walked me through everything that was done and addressed during his inspection.
COVID safety precautions: Justin arrived wearing a mask and gloves. He entered our house from an exterior door leading straight to the basement and gave me plenty of space when providing his detailed explanation of what was covered during the service. He even took my card payment verbally to further limit our contact - all things that made me feel extremely safe especially while being pregnant and having someone in our home.
I had my basement waterproofed by Quality 1st last month. They were prompt, courteous, professional and extremely hard working. My sales person was Jersey Mike and my Team Leader was Jose. Jose communicated with me throughout the project. The team worked non-stop. This was not an easy project. When they left everything was cleaned up and put back in place. The team could not have been more accommodating.

It was very enjoyable to see how professional the team worked during the entire installation process. Had a contract for a few months until they could raise my pool sidewalks. Had salesman Andrew out to provide a quote. They were out last Wednesday and had to stop, before lifting one side of the walkwake, when they claimed tree roots were in the way. All we have is some bushes around pool area. Now we have trip hazards 2 1/2 inches high and the company claiming that they were there to begin with. An untruth. We had a slight lift, that s why we hired them

If you are not familiar with this business let me fill you in on some things. Tom is the owner and truly a diamond in the community. Philanthropic, great businessman and very fair. Truly a gem for the community. Bob is the GM and is knowledgeable in everything. If a situation arises, he probably saw it, fixed it or knows how to fix it.
The team of managers are above excellent. I have had the pleasure of dealing with most of them over the years and have come away more impressed each time. Truly professional and engaged. When the company was asked to provide a donation for a local cause the management team jumped into the project and committed themselves to it. The most impressive part is the attitude towards getting any project given to them completed. I have been using a Quality 1st Basement Systems sump pump/battery backup for several years. I've been having my sump pump system serviced by them every year. Again, I am extremely pleased. John Cleary was very knowledgeable, efficient, and thorough. All maintenance procedures were completely explained. He also recommended an air purifier/dehumifier but did not pressure... which I appreciated. While here, he even scheduled my next year's maintenance appointment :-)

Quality 1st Poly Crew did a good job. Victor and his team worked hard to complete the 2 day job in one 9 hour day. It was dark when they finished so were not able to finish the clean up. It might have been better to finish in daylight or spend another half day. The finish looks good and what I had expected. Only time over the winter months will tell if everything stays as is.
Quality 1st is a very professional company. From the consultation to the finished job, they did all they said they would do. I had an issue with cement in my driveway not curing, due to rain starting earlier than predicted. They without any hesitation, came back out and redid the driveway. Brett the project manager, is a gem. He is the poster child for good customer service. Super friendly, knowledgeable, hard working young man!
What i can i say , This company been a night mare , i signed a contract in October of 2018, The Salesperson Paul Denicola gave me a date to start in February 2019 , Their Project Manager at The time Dan Gorrell came and visit in December 10th 2018 to go over the Project , Telling me They would Start in March Its still to date that they Haven t Started , Their Lack of communication with customers are Horrible I have to call so many time to get updates on the project , Then They tried to apply for Permits and their HIC License was expired by the time i had to wait another couple of weeks and one thing after another , Almost 9 months since i signed the contract and nothing and Today i spoke with their other Project Manager cause their last Project Manager Dan gorrell Quit or got let go not sure , So i talk to Mason today and decided to cancel everything , Cause Im paying for a Loan that i dont even have a Basement Finished yet ...Quality not sure were the name come from but Honestly this is my worst experience with all the Contractors I've dealt with .... It seems they don't care if they do the work or not cause i didn't even received an apology or anything or a call back explaining anything ....
Quality 1st installed a waterproofing system in my house in Lavallette on Monday. Victor Leon was the foreman and he did an excellent job informing me what was to take place and answered all my questions. His team was very effective and efficient and installed my system in record time. ( from my perspective) After the instillation they cleaned both the inside and outside of my house and as a result you would never know the amount of work that was completed. Victor and his team did a great job.

My experience with Q1st was great. I just bought my home a few months ago and had water in my basement twice within 3 months.Not having any contacts in the area I relied on the info. given by a home inspector I once used and the online reviews I read and was lucky enough to have found Quality 1st Basements. I met with some landscape contractors and a couple of waterproofing companies before Q1st but most of them weren't as knowledgeable or really seemed to care what I needed as opposed to what they wanted to sell me. From the 1st phone call to completion of the job, Q1st was very professional and their customer service was excellent . They send out a very nice marketing package before their guy schedules to meet with you.
Mark, was the person I met with. He was knowledgeable but not pushy. He gave me some options and I decided what I wanted and could afford. I felt very comfortable dealing with him and didn't feel like it was a sales pitch. They also have financing options at decent rates which were very easy to apply for. I was pleasantly surprised by that.
After scheduling my install date, it was followed up by Kyle, their service technician coming out to my house about a week before the job and going over every step of the install with me including a more effective area to install the sump pump which I liked.
The week of the install, I was called to let me know Jonathan was the crew leader for the job and when he would arrive. Jonathan called me that morning and showed up on time to start. He explained/showed me exactly where they would drill and went over with me thoroughly. He showed me their progress during the job to make sure I was satisfied and was very accomadating the entire process. They did a nice job and the basement was left in the same condition as it was before they started.I was extremely pleased. And finally, Kyle followed up with me after the job to make sure everything went well.

We had a great experience with Quality 1st basement. Our installation was quick and the guys did a great job. We had an issue where we got a bit of water in a different area after our installation. Randy Halal a system design technician came out to fix our problem. He was very nice and was able to fix our problem very quickly. I am very happy we chose this company to do our basement waterproofing. I hope to not have any more water problems but if I do I know they will be fixed.
I couldn't be happier with the job Kyle and Jonathan did with the installation of my super sump liner with water guard. I have had water issues in my basement for years but all the quotes I received were so ridiculously expensive i kept putting it off. When Kyle first came over after my last water incident, he planned out the installation where we could go section by section to minimize the cost yet still be effective overall. It was the perfect solution and approach to take and its been dry as a bone ever since! I don't normally feel the need to take the time to write a review online, but WOW! After meeting with and vetting 5 of the top listed waterproofing companies and hearing all of the same games they play (you know who you are), l finally found a breath of fresh air. From my initial call to set up my appointment with the pleasant girl in the office, to the helpful information they provided, and the representative showing up on time (he even called me that he was going to be right on time!), l knew this experience was going to be much different.
Jeff Nero was the Senior Design Specialist they sent who was thorough, honest, and extremely knowledgeable. After carefully inspecting both the inside of the basement and exterior, he showed me exactly how the water was getting into my basement and how the expansive soil was causing my rear foundation wall to bow inward. Their price was not only way better than the other companies, but l even got their Sanidry air system to help with the basement air!
They installed the WaterGuard drain around the full perimeter and reinforced the wall with CarbonArmor straps. Their installation team led by Victor was amazing, man can those guys work! Before l knew it the project was completed that day and everything cleaned up better than they got there.

About the company: The basement systems product is excellent. More than that it was the experience that came along with it made the whole process very satisfying.
Salesperson and sales presentation: Rick Ludlow was our salesperson and not at a single time we were forced or pressurized into buying their services. We had 3 more companies come and look into our basement and even though we don't have "water" problems just the mold issue we were terrorized with "what might happen" scenario. We were sent reading material as soon as we scheduled an appointment for estimate. Very informative.
Presentation was to the point and again the salesperson answered our questions and concerns.
Installation crew: We have been homeowners for the past 4 years now and have had quite some some work done around the house not as big as this but still. I had qualms about the crew and the work but the whole process was very smooth. The foreman, Jesus, was very knowledgeable, covered the junk in the basement with plastic sheets, moved the refrigerator, washer and dryer. He updated me every now and then with the progress that was made and if he had any concerns.
The cleanup process: I can say that the basement has never been cleaner, we had loose debris around the previous sump pump and the utility room, it is nice and clean now.

After years of attempts at managing a wet crawl space with iron residue, we selected Quality First to install their system to effectively manage this Issue once and for all. Mike clearly explained the system and tailored the proposal to meet our unique situation. He answered all of our questions, was accessible when we contacted him and was a pleasure to work with. Jonathan arrived with his crew and they worked tirelessly over two full days to first thoroughly clean the orange mud residue then install French drain, sump pumps, discharge pipes, vent covers, liner and humidifier. He was extremely courteous and took the time to observe all the areas we pointed out that needed to be lifted; and he even noticed some others. He was very meticulous in completing this job to our satisfaction. (And I am a tough customer with high expectations!!) We are very happy with the work that has been completed at our home and also thankful for Quality 1st Basements for standing behind their warranty!!
Juan and his crew were very efficient and completed the job in one day. He explained everything in detail and did the final walk through. While I understand that under the contract removing a sheet track and floor tiles is a responsibility of the homeowner, the company, as a courtesy, could fix it to make the customer more happy. It costs not that much and the company is already making a nice profit considering a cheap labor cost and the only unique part which is the vinyl WaterGuard piping. We shall see if this waterproof system works.
Dane the agent was fantastic, Angela the scheduler was very accommodating, the initial caller taker who set up the initial assessment was very friendly and the operational team, Wilber and his crew, were expedient, thorough and professional. You can t get a better company to do such a good job at such at a hard project at such an affordable price.
I called in because of an issue I had with a crack in my foundation. Ken Peare was very knowledgeable and professional. He explained all the options that were available as well as preventative measures that he recommended. I was extremely satisfied with what he had to offer so I quickly scheduled for a full installation of the water guard system as well as the clean space system. They werent the cheapest but offered a way more comprehensive solution which to me is always worth a little extra. You CANNOT risk using a company that isn t as specialized in this work as these guys. This type of work must be done by professionals and it is worth the premium. Juan Garcia was the foreman assigned to my job, he was professional, on time, and very attentive to the details and keeping the dust and debris from getting around the house. The whole crew worked like a well oiled machine that got the job done in just under 8 hours. Other companies said it would be 4 days! Again to my point of why this type of work should only be handled by a reputable and specialized company as these guys. The cement work was all done very well and blended into the foundation as if it was never there. They also seamlessly created a trench around the utility room to avoid any water floods from future leaks/pipes burst. This work was done in my personal home so I can now finish my basement without ever worrying about water again. I will 100% use Ken and ask for Juan for any of my future jobs on my rentals and flips.
We had some work done in our basement by Quality 1st just a few weeks ago. Jeff came in and took the time to diagnose the issue and provide a full, end-to-end solution. He was professional, knowledgeable and thorough. When the time came to do the job, the team that arrived was really excellent. Again, the team was professional, knowledgeable and thorough in their work. The team worked tirelessly in hot conditions to get the job completed in one day. They were clean... so clean that the only way you could really tell something went on in the basement was the wet cement and the scent of the cleaning product they used to clean up. We recently had some serious rain and everything has worked according to plan. Thank you so much for your help!
I can't say enough good things about Tom Roman's Quality 1st Basement. This is a very professional company and the staff is very well trained. I am in the property management business and have experienced all sorts of contractors. These guys are at the top of the list. I had them recently service two sump pumps down at the Jersey shore that they installed after Super Storm Sandy. Their technician, Damian Sorrentino, was a pleasure to work with on our properties. He was punctual, very polite, cleanly dressed in a uniform, and very intelligent. He was able find a solution to couple of issues that we were having and personally went above and beyond what I expected of a contractor. I would highly recommend this company.

I have the highest water table imaginable, so my Sump Pump runs constantly. 10 years ago after the power went out and the basement flooded I had Quality 1st Basement put in the Triple Safe Battery-back up Sump Pump and SaniDry XP. Last ten years have been nothing but a dry basement, excellent annual maintenance service calls and great service from Randy the Tech. Highly recommended!
I was very impressed with Quality 1st. We were skeptical at first because after we contracted them I received a start date of 3 weeks later. I was frustrated with the date because we had a lot of mold in the basement and needed it out immediately. I phoned them and explained to them that due to the mold the date was not acceptable especially that I have a child with asthma. They understood and immediately had their workers their few days later on a Saturday. I was very impressed how they were very concerned of keeping everything clean, even areas they were not working on due to dust going in those areas. The job performed was professional and they left my basement impeccable. I was impressed with the quality of the material and that everything used to correct the problem was modern. I have never and I say never written a review but I was very satisfied and very impressed how everything went especially after having numerous issues with other contractors that I just had to write a review which is the least I can do for how great the workers were in installing and maintaining everything neat as if work was never done in the basement. I wish every company was as professional as Quality 1st and their workers. Thank you Quality 1st for making me happy. I can now enjoy Christmas Day with my family without any worries of mold.
Steve Ventriglio System designer did an analysis and design and estimate. The crew came on time, did the project in the time frame they predicted, and did a neat job and left the site clean.
Just wanted to comment on how great the experience was with both Matt and Heriberto, the installer. The proposal process was seamless and really consultative which I liked. The installation was completed quicker and more efficiently than I had anticipated and the team made sure we were absolutely satisfied before leaving. I work from home and my office is close to where the work was being done. I was able to work without interruption which was also great . I would highly recommend.

Customer Serv:Rude. I wanted to speak to someone with exp in waterproofing and get a quote, we have a unique water issue and a normal one. Never even got the chance. Spoke to a woman, condescending, insulting. She was concerned with wasting time on an issue they couldn't fix (which I understand). However, if she wasn't talking over me, or concerned with how much she knew and on what I should/shouldn't do and actually took a min and listened, maybe you would have had a customer. I cant speak your jargon, but I do know if you cannot fix a 6"x.125" crack in the wall weeping water, 8" below the soil line, then you shouldn't say you are able to waterproof; never even GOT to the unique issue. Would never use, recommend or call again. Know who you're speaking to before making statements and assumptions 1st Qual, very poor form.
My experience with Quality 1st basement has been a great one from start to finish. I was looking for the right waterproofing company to fix my crawl space and the second the specialist Laszlo Lenkey started explaining the process and the company I knew I found the winner. The fact he was hilarious and so passionate about the company was a huge plus. He was extremely thorough with explaining every single detail in what the workers would be doing and even showed me samples of the product I was purchasing. He even showed me how much each piece of equipment would cost and never pressured me into making a sale. He made it very obvious it was a no brainer to pick Quailty1st. They were able to make an appointment just 2 weeks after and the crew were extremely professional and fast. It s amazing what a difference it made, I m so grateful I ll never have to worry about water problems ever again.
We had our basement waterproofed by Quality 1st Basement almost four years ago and our basement has been perfect ever since. I highly recommend the annual maintenance visit to check that everything is working well. The technician who came today, Vinnie Ferrara, did a great job. He was very thorough and gave a full report at the end of the visit.
Q1st, especially Nick was helpful with the basement waterproofing problems. Q1st will do what it can to accommodate any issues that arise unexpectedly and make them happy. Melvin, the foreman, was experienced and knowledgeable. Company def. has the right people. Tight schedule was provided but work was scheduled within a week and completed in one day, however, be prepared to stay home as the hard workers will stay to complete the job even into the grave yard shift. I was a little agitated at this because I wanted the same crew. I did not know if they would be available to complete the job the next day since it was just scheduled for a one (1) day operation.
Work has been completed a week ago and there hasn't been a rain event yet to test the drainage system in place. Will update post in the future.
Very good experience with Quality First Basements from start to finish. Steve Ventriglio did a great job with the design and consultation. He was very professional, knowledgeable, reliable and accessible, even after we signed the contract. The installation crew did a great job too. They came early, worked hard and were very courteous and responsible. Delfino and Richardo (and Esaul) were extremely helpful and patient in explaining what they did in the basement and how things worked. We were especially appreciative of the extra effort put in by Delfino and Ricardo - they are the best! Would also like to mention the schedulers and other staff in the office whom we spoke to - they were very polite and super helpful. All things considered, we would highly recommend Quality First Basements to family, friends and everyone who appreciates excellence!
