Perfect from start to finish! After Sandy, I thought my family would never be able to utilize the living space we had established in the basement ever again. With six of us in the house and a large dog, this is an important place to unwind or get some privacy when needed. Rick first put me at ease by explaining this state of the art system. He never pressured the sale, and the price was unbeatable. Juan Garcia and his crew did an excellent job with the demo and full installation. The guys were respectful and extremely clean. I think the basement was cleaner when they left than before they got there - no joke. The pump system is even more impressive when you see it installed, and of course, you say to yourself, "why didn't I think of that?" I am very happy with the company, the product, and all of the workers. Thank you Rick, Juan, and all of the crew for giving me my basement back - worry free.

Randy came out after we saw a leak from waterproofing installed by the same company two ok the earlier. There were a few issues that weren t handled the first time, but to be honest, we had a downpour when they were installing the waterproofing. Randy extended the pipe for one of the existing sump pumps and gave it a new battery, while concreting aground areas that weren t reinforced. He was super helpful and I hope if there s ever a problem down the line, Rnady comes back out.

Just had our annual maintenance done by John Olsen from Quality 1st Basement Systems. We've had our system for well over 10 years and the technicians that come to do the annual maintenance are usually professional and thorough. John was no exception. He called before he arrived to let us know he was on his way and was respectful while in our home.

Horrific experience with this company. Promised me they had much experience with older homes,and they definitely do not know anything!! workers showed up did not speak English, jack hammered into an underground well pipe, head contractor was contacted via FaceTime and he was completely arrogant and full of himself with no offer of him remediating the problem they caused. Spent hours trying to find emergency plumber. They were supposed to reimburse me for water guard they didn't install, took three months and they came up with random price without any itemized invoices. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE COMPANY. HUNTERDON COUNTY NJ. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

I am very disappointed. They did not explain that I needed two dedicated outlets, and they caused a breaker overload. When I contacted them about the problem, they did nothing. I would be careful to use this company as they are not reputable.

Made an appointment in August for an estimate. Appointment was cancelled the day they were supposed to visit for the review and estimate due to an "emergency." Set up a second appointment in September. The tech is a no show, no call. They end up calling my wife the following day to explain they had "car trouble." What a way to do business.

The process from quote to completion was very easy and professional. The Sales Associate Joe worked with us on our actual needs and didn't push things we didn't need. The Installation Manager Juan was extremely professional and friendly. He made sure to point out everything he needed to do to make sure my Crawlspace was completed to my satisfaction. I could tell he really knew what he was doing and took pride in doing a good job. I would recommend Quality 1st to my friends.

I love dealing with this company. They are very professional, responsive and genuine. Justin came today to service my 4 pumps and it was a pleasure. He explained what he was going to do in advance and reviewed everything in detailed once he completed. More importantly, he was very neat which is always important when you have a finished basement. I always recommend this company and their service is fantastic.

My concrete drive way, after decades of usage, formed longitudinal cracks. As water got in and gradually washed the underneath soil away, differential settlement occurred. I called Jeff Pitek at Quality 1 and he offered the solution by using the Polylevel seal to seal the cracks. Upon the scheduled day, his crew arrived and did the repair, as well as removing the existing expansion wood joints and also replaced them with the Polylevel seal. It took about half a day, not much of time to disturb car parking. The important thing is that after the repair, the concrete slab stopped settling and deteriorating. Surface run-off seems to drain properly now. So far, it is good. I am happy about Jeff's effective solution and in-time service.

I was a builder before retiring and wish I had him working for me. Justin was extremly neat and clean. He would be great teaching new guys the correct way to do the job. He explain what and why he did the repairs needed.

We just purchased our home and discovered the crawlspace was in need of attention. We did not want to put money in to the home and have a damp, moldy space lurking below. We got in touch with Quality 1st Basement systems. They sent Steve Ventriglio out to access the crawlspace. Steve called to verify the appt and make sure we received the very informative information packet he sent us. Upon his on time arrival and inspection, he presented a proposal and we decided to insulate and encapsulate. We finalized the paperwork in our house with Steve, he had a date for the install while he was there and we felt really comfortable with the process. Then we got a call from the office to confirm the install the day before, the crew called on way that morning, arrived on time, worked neat and cleanly updating me along the way. When finished I was very impressed and happy I chose Quality 1st basements.

Justin called me to let me know he was on his way to my home about 15 minutes prior to our service window. He arrived early was very respectful when entering our home and completed a very thorough service of our sump pump. When I attempted to hand in my credit card he requested a contactless payment which had me read my card to him. Eveey interaction withcwith thisithis prompt, reliable and incredibly professional. Well, we ve lived in our house for 25 years and seldom get water, probably 5 times in all those years. This year we got water 4 times between Thanksgiving and New Years. In December we decided it was time to have the basement done so we didn t need to shop-vac any more.

I did my research, got estimates, and decided on Quality 1st. Today Mario and his guys were here and finished in 1 day. They started work immediately, worked all day and finished completely. They left no mess, they swept up and even dusted off stuff that wasn t covered with plastic. These guys worked their tails off and deserve the recognition of the hard work.

Unfortunately for us since it is seldom we do get water I don t know how long we will have to wait until I can see how the system works.

Again I have to say from the time we had Paul over to see the basement and sign our contract to the end of today, Quality 1st has been great to deal with. From this experience I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I hope this helps anyone on the fence with a decision.

I am very impressed with the quality of your work. Quality 1st Basement Systems did a great job for me . Everything looks so neat, I never expected that this kind of work when finished would look so nice. The Sump Pump is covered and the Sani Dry Dehumidifier is so quiet and my basement never had such a fresh smell and of course so dry.

If I could give this company zero stars... I would!

My husband and I had them come to our home to complete a waterproofing and bright wall system. The waterproofing system was done first and came out great! However, I can not say the same for the bright wall system.

First and foremost, when the crew arrived to our home, my husband and I went to the basement to greet them and one of the crew members looked at my husband like he owed him money! He was rude and completely oblivious to the fact that he was in our home and refused to show common courtesy by greeting my husband and I.

While they were putting the bright wall system up, my husband and I repeatedly visited the basement to check the progress, as well as, to make sure everything was to our standards (we wanted to make sure it was meticulous). To our surprise, the bright walls were completely uneven and looked like my 6 year old niece was cutting the pieces up and screwing them on the wall. We brought it to the attention of the supervisor whom I asked if they were planning to put trimming on it. Well, I can guarantee you that if we did not ask about the trimming, it would not have been done!

Then, while they were finishing the system, we noticed that there were sections that were not screwed properly to the concrete and we also brought that to the attention of the supervisor. He told us that unfortunately that is how the system was and he couldn't do anything about it. My husband asked him, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT? All you have to do is add a screw here and here!" The supervisor did not like that we were asking him to do his job and became extremely upset.

Needless to say, when the work was done, the basement was left a mess with dust, screws, and scraps all over the floor.

We then had a supervisor come to our home to explain our concerns and he completely agreed with us. They will be sending someone else out to finish the work that should have been done in the first place! We will not be doing business with this company again or referring them to any family and friends!

Quite honestly, I am surprised they remain in business if this is the type of work that is completed!

System works fine. However, they promised a discount for putting their sign on my lawn, then reneged. They blow off appts., like today. Sat here from 10-2 and no one showed or called. When I called their office, it rang, gave a message, and hung up on me.

We've used quality first to waterproof our basement and were very satisfied with the service and expertise of the people that work there. Both Kyle and Dan were patient and explained things to us in detail. I definitely recommend them for all your basement waterproofing needs.

From the estimate through the work being finished Laura and her team were wonderful. They looked at my issues from a homeowners point of view and not just the next check. Very helpful and communicative.

For a long time I feared the rain. It would flood the basement of our brownstone and cause a dangerous nuisance, worse and worse as time went on. But finally I wised up and called Quality 1st Basement Systems. Ken P. came and checked it out. Immediately I knew I was dealing with a pro; someone knowledgable, who gave a damn, and who could put together a SYSTEM ( cause that s what it is; not just some simple fix that doesn t work) that would alleviate my flooding problem. Boy, did he ever. Ken spec d a setup of wall seal, perimeter drain, new floor and SERIOUS sump pump and dehumidifier. Scheduling work and financing couldn t have been easier. A week later Melvin and his crew arrived, worked their ASSES off for two days installing (didn t leave one speck of dust when they were done) and I was left with a beautiful, clean basement. Then I waited for the rain. Last night it dumped 1.3 in four hours. Without this system that would have resulted in a disastrous flood. But that basement is as clean and dry as it was when Melvin and his guys walked out of here. I m so relieved and happy. No longer will I fear the rain.

In all seriousness, Quality 1st Basement Systems is a great company. Ken couldn t have been more professional; the system he put together WORKS. Melvin and his crew were prompt, courteous, efficient, and they cleaned up and hauled away every iota of dust from their work (and even some of mine). The company name is apt: it s all about Quality. Great service.My ultrasump battery charger died after a snow storm.When power was restored the charger lights never returned.After we called Quality 1st.Kyle came and corrected the problem quickly.

Do not recommend this company im they lie about everything especially POLY LEVEL that leaves stain on concrete that over time turns yellow Do Not listen to the salesman when they say its stain free i have proof

I had a dehumidifier installed with a condensation pump yesterday by Quality First Basement Systems. The crew, lead by Juan Garcia, was great. They were professional, knowledgeable and neat. I asked Juan and his crew a bunch of questions about the installation, and they patiently answered every one. Juan also pointed out the various options on where to place the dehumidifier, and his top suggestion made the most sense. Shows a real willingness to work with the customer and knowledge of his products and the proper installation.

I also had vent covers installed on the crawl space vents. Again a very neat and thorough job.

Quality First came highly recommended by my house inspector who is a structural engineer, and I'm glad I chose them to do the work.

Ken Peare was my salesman / consultant. He was also extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and pointed out the same issues as my house inspector.

Meet with these guys before doing any basement waterproofing work. You will not be sorry.

After literal years trying to find someone to help save my historic home s failing foundation and contractors who were simply guessing, I happened upon Quality 1st Basement. They swooped in, knew exactly what I needed, and did a quick clean job of stabilizing the foundation and waterproofing my crawl space. We just had an amazing experience with Quality 1st Basement Systems last month. Our sales person Dan quoted us exactly what we needed--nothing more, nothing less--to turn our wet, dank basement into a clean and safe usable space. Foreman Juan and his team were unbelievably efficient, knocking out what we though would be a 5-day project in half that time, including clean up and disposal of all the old, wet drywall and framing they demoed. I highly recommend this company--they turned our disaster of a basement into a space we can use and enjoy and know our family is safe from the basement moisture and everything that comes with it.

Great workmanship and very good at explaining the work that would be done and the length of time it would take. Also cleaned up very nicely when they were done. My basement looks great.

I worked with Maurice and Melvin, both were top notch to deal with. Maurice arrived at the scheduled time for the estimate, took the time to talk and discuss issues that were happening in my crawlspace, looked around under the house, and explained the work that would need to be done and how long it would take. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to answer all of my questions and concerns, without pressuring or pushing a sale. Melvin and his crew arrived a couple weeks later as we planned, got right to work, and completed the entire project, including clean up, within a day. I had dreaded getting to this project thinking it would be a nightmare, but Maurice and Melvin made the entire experience as painless and seamless as possible. I really can't believe how easy and smoothly it went. It is a big investment, but the crawlspace needed the attention or the problem would have just progressed. I would recommend Quality 1st without hesitation, especially Maurice and Melvin. Again, they were professional, replied to messages and calls promptly, and were always in touch about scheduled visits and the progress on the work the day it was being done. Whenever I called the office, the staff on the phone were always polite and helpful.

We had our basement waterproofed with Quality 1st, and the experience was excellent from beginning to end. The representative who came to our house, Ken Peare, was courteous, professional, and low-pressure. He spoke frankly about the work they did, and I really appreciated that Quality 1st gives their best price from the beginning. No ambiguity, and no games. Other companies like to play the "if you commit now I can give you this better price" game, which turned me off. The work crew that came to my house did excellent work. The left my basement cleaner than they found it, and took care to cover all of our belongings that remained in the basement. Victor Leon's crew installed a triple safe system for me last year. I have been meaning to write this review for a year because they really deserve it. I am still so impressed by the hard work of these men to get the entire system installed in one day and how successfully it has been operating.

Very satisfied with Nick and Sherman- they delt with weather and a few on site surprises- job well done - these guys are pros.

We had several quotes prior to calling Quality 1st. You would not believe the amount of crazy BS we received during those home visits/quotes, specially from those Mid-A people. Laura was great from the start. She wasn't pushy, you can tell she was being honest and she actually cared about the situation that we were in. We didn't get much water in our basement but it was enough to cause a big headache. Laura came out and inspected the basement, gave us a quote, explained everything that was going to be done during the scheduled date, and boy do I tell you, they were true to their word !! The crew that came did the job quickly, as described by Laura and also cleaned everything once they were done, including MOPPING the floors. Me and my wife couldn't be happier to have chosen Quality 1st Basements to handle this issue for us. The price was fair and the quality of work was superb. This company was extremely professional. Their installers were professional, made sure there was not a mess, and knew that ended more work than originally thought. They did not try to to g rip us off, to the contrary they bent over backwards todo the right thing.

For years I was putting up with water coming up through my floor, then I heard about quality 1 basement Waterproofing. They sent out their specialist Maurice Robinson. Very well-mannered professional man. He explained to me what was happening and what would need to be done to stop it, in a way that I understood. He told me about the crew when they come out and what they would do. Well the crew came out very professional people also very well-mannered, they told me what they were going to do and the time frame it would take. They finished exactly the time they said they were, and they cleaned up like they would never there. That was two years ago to this date I haven't had a drop of water in my home. No more staying up late mopping up water losing rugs.. these people and quality 1 basement, are the best. I strongly recommend if you or anyone is having problems or water problems with your foundation. It's time to call in the experts, and those experts are quality 1 basement, thank you quality 1 basement. But I recommend you ask for the specialist Maurice Robinson .

The person that came to review the job and provide the quote was knowledgeable, thorough and explained everything to us clearly and with patience. Both teams that worked on my house were courteous, professional, communicated with me and answered all my questions. I am very satisfied with my work from Quality 1st Basements, from the intial diagnosis Ken Peare performed on my basement and crawl space to the work performed by Jesus Sanchez.

My home is older and was suffering from sagging floors and stressed support beams. When Ken came over he pinpointed all the issues and drew up a detailed game plan to install a jack/power brace supplemental beam support systems in the basement and crawl space. Jesus and his team were able to complete the job in 2 days and I am very happy with the quality of the work and attention to detail. After the system was installed Jesus worked with us to adjust the jacks to get the floors level and to our satisfaction. Doors upstairs that were jammed are now closing and floorboards are very much improved.

I had them waterproof / insulate my basement and they did a great job. Laura was great in answering all my questions and the crew who did the job were good and quick in installing and cleaned up after themselves.

We had our basement done about 1 year ago and we have been completely satisfied with the job. The company is first rate and we have recommended them to all of our friends and family. The installation was quick and the workers left the basement spotless. Company employees are professional and very helpful. Bottom line is we can't say enough good things about this company.

Hired quality for concrete raising. Staff was knowledgeable and on time. Only issue we had was that 2 small sections of my concrete were in a pinched area and would not come up to he height that I was told would be fixed. It was better but just not exactly what I wanted. Spoke to Kyle and they made it right. Would definitely hire again. Responsive and they get back to you. Thats something many companies just don't do.

Quality 1st helped me get a very bad water problem under control. Mike Jersey was the expert sent to scope out my issues and explained both the problems and the options I had. The options is what I liked most. No bullying or aggressive sales tactics or fear mongering to sell me more than what I needed.

Install team was also professional and I definitely recommend, and would go with this company again if the need should arise.

Had triple safe installed today. Installers arrived on time, were courteous, professional and did a very nice job inside and out. Hopefully our basement water issues are history.

We had an outdoor drain put in this weekend. Luis and his team arrived when they said they would. The got right to work and got the job done in a timely manner. They were excellent.

Great experience with Quality 1st Basement. We moved into a newly constructed home that, as it turns out, didn't put any basement drainage system in before finishing the basement. We found this out, naturally, the hard way.

Spoke to a few basement waterproofing specialists, but none that offered start to finish, 100% of the services. No other sheet rock / painters required.

Wilver and his team showed up on time both days, were very polite, respectful and answered all of our questions. Put in a french drain, cleaned up the mold, and put in a new sump pump with TRIPLE back up. And all of the work is guaranteed.

Kyle, the project manager, also showed up when he said he would, and spent a ton of time going over every detail of our project and addressed any concerns we had.

Q1 was definitely more expensive than some of the other people we spoke with, but none offered the full breadth of services and the ability to complete a full basement waterproofing in 2 days.

Highly recommended.

i just had maintenance done by randy halal. he first called me to let me know he was arriving shortly. when he arrived he introduced himself and shook my hand....very gentlemanly.
proceeded to do his work.....there was an issue and he has honest with me about what needed to be done...he had the parts with him so he didn't have to make a return trip....which was great. he was very respectful and kind. cudos to the company for hiring such a pleasant young man who does great work..

Jeff Nero is the ultimate professional and gentleman! He delivers on his promises and does not embellish. When we needed things done "live" during our project he IMMEDIATELY responded and took care of things. There no hidden extras and everything was upfront at every step.

Jonathan and his crew we AWESOME! They worked hard and happy. The finished product (a VERY difficult job) was outstanding. I appreciated they took my concerns seriously and continually kept me updated. Terrific!

Travis at Quality 1st has been great to work with on getting an estimate and going over the appropriate options to address our basement issues, carefully listening to all our concerns as well. He has been honest about what can work and what won't work to solve the problem.

Had a complete waterproofing system installed in our basement. Invested over $19000. Was told by sales team that they stand by their products and installation and guarantee this work for a lifetime and this guarantee is transferable. Well we have water damage on walls and where the wall meets the ceiling. A representative from the company came out and assessed the damage and after cutting holes in the wall blamed the damage on a heating vent that probably produced enough condensation to cause this damage. I had a HVAC professional come out to look it over and sees NO evidence of condensation and has NEVER heard of such a thing. It is clear the system failed and this company doesn't want to take responsibility. We just had the system serviced 6 months ago by them to make sure everything was working as it should. This company is quick to take your money and sell you a warranty that they never intended to stand by. I would not recommend this company. All talk

I am very pleased with the project recently completed by Quality 1st Basement Systems. From start to finish, they were professional, patient, thorough and very clean. They said the project would be 2 days, and it was. Even though it rained on the second day, there was no dirt or mud left behind despite the piers being dug deep into the bedrock under my basement. The workers were polite and very respectful of my property and pets. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to do basement or foundation repairs.

I have used many contractors and construction companies over the years. This company was by far the best. The communication was exactly what you want when doing a home improvement project. Dane C was there to help guide through the process and answer any questions i had. (I did have a lot!). The crew was very diligent in there work and made sure Everything was perfect before they left. My crawl space is now dry, clean and the rooms above are finally warm!!! Very satisfied customer. Will be referring my friends and family.

We have previously had Quality 1st install a sump pump system and install drains around the basement. They did an excellent job, were neat, cleaned up and have provided excellent service to the system. We're going to have another wall of the basement added to the drainage system, and I am extremely impressed with the price, the short wait to have the work done, and the professionalism of the service tech, Justin Williams. All in all, I'm extremely happy with the interactions and the work that I've had done with this company and highly recommend them.

The team of Esau and Luis have carried out two different projects at our house. We first installed the waterproofing system in our basement. The crew did really great job, they were very courteous, very hard-worker and also did a great cleanup work. They always listened to your requirements and do their best to accomplish them. Then later on we specifically requested the same team to finish our basement, and again, very satisfied with the finishing and their work. I think their kindness and hardwork should be rewarded by the company.

We had a wet and musty smelling basement for years and Quality 1st was the only company we felt comfortable with their warranties and appreciate the annual call to remind us about maintenance! Called Quality First for an estimate to put a perimeter drain and sump in a detached garage. Got set up with Anthony who showed up on time the day of the appointment and went over how to fix the issue. I had a few questions before the job was done and Anthony was easy to get in touch with. Anthony is a straight shooter who will go the extra mile to make sure you're happy with the job. He followed up after the first rain to make sure it was dry.

The annual servicing of our system was done today. Sha'Chon, the Service Tech was very knowledgable and answered all my questions on the state of my basement and the system that was originally installed by Quality 1st Basement

He and Justin completed the servicing of the system in a very professional manner.

The jury is still out since the promised one day job has not been completed yet NOT because Brett's crew didn't work hard enough but because the rep who gave the estimate failed to document the things I told him. It is my sentiment that he set the Brett's crew up for failure. 2 things:
1) My house has a very high water table for the location being quite far from the beach and all. Even the rep recognized that because my pump was going off non stop and there is water puddles everywhere in the yard hence the need to call quality first for an estimate. How did the rep miss that fact, especially after I told him that my number one concern was the water everywhere in the backyard and my overworked pump, even physically showed him. However, Brett's crew did not get the memo because it was not relayed/documented on paper. That caused them to not be prepared for this situation.
2)Upon walk through the project, the rep suggested one discharge line each in the front and back yard while the pitch of my front lawn is reversed, meaning it's not practical to have one line in the front. When you look at the house from the sidewalk, you can clearly see the slope is going down towards the house. How did the rep miss that?

Nick and Sherman did a great job on the lifting and leveling of my concrete walkway! They showed up on time and were a pleasure to work with through out the entire experience. Very professional and did such an awesome job. Jeff was my salesman and he really was awesome as well. I recently got a quote to rip up my concrete walkway and redo the entire thing as I was told the walkway was sinking. The cost was astronomical. I reached out to quality first and Jeff really worked with me and saved me so much money. I am very happy with the entire experience and I will choose quality 1st basements again.

Justin provided excellent service and was knowledgeable. Used care in keeping the area clean.

I have to say. Both Mike and Eder were great. Very professional and also very accommodating to explaining the polylevel system and helping to calm any concerns we had. Cleaned everything up and was like they were never there. Very satisfied with the professionalism and job by Quality first.

This job from start to finish was very professional. I had a problem with old window wells that on heavy wind and rain would allow water to pool up in the wells around the basement windows. Ken Peare - system design specialist was sent out to my house, he understood my concerns and recommended to replace all the window wells with their sealed system. Something i never knew existed, its an enclosure with a clear lid that is attached to the foundation of the house. These new wells completely changed and updated the look of my house. Also the sealant they used between them and the foundation is waterproof so any chance of water getting through them and the new basement windows (which they also installed)...is slim to none. The new wells have a clear lid which allows a good amount of light to come in the basement as opposed to the old metal and weed infested wells...Great Job!!!
