We had a basement with damp walls, Quality 1st was able to accomodate us at a short notice, the sales process was very detailed in terms of how they would address our problem. The install crew was professional, came on time and cleaned up after they left. Would recommend.
I am so glad we called and got the work done with quality first. From initial phone call to finished work, it was all flawless. To start, when I called to make an appointment for a quote I did not feel rushed at all. I was thoroughly explained of the process and all my questions were answered. We were assigned Ray as our salesman and let me tell you, he is AMAZING. Ray came in for the appointment on time, he called ahead of time to let us know he would be at our house at scheduled time. Ray did not rush, our appointment was about 2 hours long. He was sure to answer all our questions and give us different options to our problem. He did not pressure us to make a decision right away which felt great, and not like he was there just to sell the product. We called 2 days later to say we would go forward with the work and Ray was once again, awesome. He scheduled the work in a timely manner and reassure we would get calls to remind us of work (greatly executed). Work day came and Jonathan and his crew could not have been neater and more professional. Our basement seemed to be left cleaner than when they arrived. Everything was done in less than half a day and it was like no one was even there, breaking walls and concrete floors. We just had the crazy 3 inches of rain a week ago and I still can t believe we didn t have a single drop of water on our floors. Our pump worked like a charm. Like I said, so so so glad we found quality first and went forward with the work. Now we have peace of mind that no matter how much rain, we won t have another flooded basement. The whole experience with Quality 1st was professional and timely. The sale man Nick was incredibly accommodating, informative, responsive and did an excellent job explaining the system and all the options.

I had a window well drain, new window well (1st Quality basement sun house) and new window installed in my basement in a area where water would get in during heavy rains. Juan Garcia was the foreman on the job and he and his crew were excellent. They were professional, courteous and patiently answered any question I had as they were performing the job. The crew was thorough and clean, which all homeowners can appreciate. When the job was done, Juan and crew did not rush out the door. Juan ensured we did a full walk through and he re-explained everything one last time. This is a fairly straightforward job for them, but I certainly will bring back 1st Quality for potential jobs down the road.
These guys are fantastic. We've used them twice now in two different homes in New Jersey and have had no issues whatsoever. They saved our first house in Bridgewater from massive flooding issues to the point the basement could be finished without worry.
They've been prompt, courteous, and the quality of the work is top notch. Steve Roldan (system design) even helped me with how to introduce a tooth brush to my 9 month old and it worked like a charm!

I had my foundation repaired with the push pier system. Jonathan Neira was the foreman on the job, and he was fantastic! In addition to being courteous, thorough, and knowledgeable, he actually cared about the job and about making me feel comfortable with the work that was being done. He answered any question I had and explained things I would never have known to ask about. He treated his crew with respect, and it was obvious they enjoyed working with him. He also left my garage cleaner than when he started. I would recommend him to anyone.
On the sales end of the company, I would recommend calling your town yourself to see exactly what permits are required to complete the job before signing a contract. Be sure Quality First is very clear about what is included in your price quote and what isn't, so you are not unpleasantly surprised by added permit/engineering expenses.
Just got my basement done by two great professionals. Makes the money spent all worth it. Luis Aguirre and Jaime were great, got here on time, explained to me every step and process, and cleaned up everything. Definitely recommend this company to whomever is looking to address water issues in their basements.
This has been the worst company to deal with. If there were negative stars I would be giving them -10
1. They did not submit the request for permits as agreed upon so the project was delayed about 2 months while my house was in total chaos as flooring and furniture was moved to other rooms to prepare for the work they were supposed to do.
3. They tried to blame be for their inefficiencies and I had to fight to get a credit for the cost of the permits.
4. When they finally got the permits 2 months later and opened my walls they determined that they could not do what we had agreed upon.
5. At this point the right thing to do would have been to apologize and compensate me for my time and emotional stress as well as bring my walls back to whole.
6. Instead of doing what was right for the customer money clearly motivated Kyle Ward who convinced me that I would still benefit from the three pump system I believed him to be the expert so I took him at his word.
7. With all the rain we have had in NJ year to date the pump system has yet to turn. Quality 1st even came and opened up the pump after three days of rain and it was bone dry, and I have been totally scammed.
8. When I asked for an itemized bill it took asking 3 times for one to be delivered and it did not present a clear picture of the 10% discount on the original contract.
9. Now that I have finally gotten an itemized bill reflecting the discount 1 month and 10 days after initially requesting it, they have called me every day since for final payment,
10. In the interim I have had to invest an additional amount of money to get it done right.
Quality 1st was on time and got the job done ahead of schedule. The employee were great and knew there job well. They answered all of my question with no problems. I would recommend them to friends.

Where to start?
I will begin with the fact that my wife and I are first time home buyers. Every little thing that pops up can seem like catastrophe.
We inherited the basement system by Quality 1st Basement Systems and did not know much about it. After a day or two of heavy rains, when we saw water in the system (it was contained within the working system) we assumed the worst.
We called the company because we had the paperwork from the previous homeowners and the company sent a technician out that afternoon.
Santiago B. came out and inspected the situation and informed us that there were no issues. But the reason I am writing this review is two fold: 1.) the work by the company was top notch and had really already previously fixed the basement wall issues, and 2.) he took the time to explain the system and show us what we had in the works.
Santiago went from the wall, the draining system and the pump to show was what we had and what to look for... he didn't talk in a lot of terms we didn't understand. He explained it so we knew what was going on. He even showed us a video on his iPad which demonstrated further the whole procedure.
I spoke to his supervisor today because I was so impressed by Santiago's visit.
This is a good company and my wife and I would highly recommend it other homeowners. We bought a house that was built in 1932. So we have had our share of different technicians come to the house for various reasons ranging from plumbing to electric. This was by far the most painless and easy, and I felt it necessary to share for others who may be in the same situation!

The service technician Randy Halal is courteous and knowledgeable, a true professional. He even offered to help me set up a way to drain the water from the dehumidifier at no cost to keep the level of humidity down (he was able to tell that humidity is above 55% without a device to measure it). I would recommend this company to friends and family.

I had an addition to the discharge line for my sump pump so the water coming out is farther away from my house. Esau Ricardo Aquino & his crew were amazing. They were on time, courteous & respected my property. I could hardly see where they dug the trench as they replaced the sod so well. I had the Waterguard installed around my garage to catch the seepage I would get on large rain storms. I had the drain placed in beginning of the summer of 2015. I am writing this review a month afterwards because I wanted to make sure the installation was correct and that no water has seeped into my garage. At this point we have had no further issues. My rep was Nick B. and he was professional and responsive. I had talked to 6 contractors and read multiple reviews online. Some were generalists and others were like quality 1st, were experts in waterproofing. Based on all of those meetings, I decided to go with Nick and Qualtiy 1st. Each salesmen had their spiel , but some felt more honest than others. Nick does a great job explaining each and every step and is there for you along the way. The products that Quality 1st uses are proprietary, developed for them by them. I liked the idea that they were using items that were made for this application and not just generic pipe. If you are having water issues in your garage or basement, I would recommend Nick and Quality 1st
Quality 1st basements added smart Jack's in our basement to correct a sagging floor. Esau and his team worked quickly, kept everything so clean and were meticulous about getting our floor level. This place is very inconsiderate!!!! I live right behind them and my bedroom window faces them and more then once they were sooooo loud at 2am, 3am people are trying to sleep. It's not every night but in the summer it's worse. I have severe health issues but do they care how loud they're being apparently not. I'm not a mean or miserable person but give me a break that is just ridiculous if it's a nice night and you want to open your window you can't. I hope they go out business!!!!!
I contracted with Quality 1st Basements in May for a dehumidifier and wall covering. They told me the installation was like 3 weeks out but my sales rep got that date pulled in. About an hour after the installers left, I went to the basement and found that the top of the wall covering had come completely unglued. I texted the installers but they were at the next job and refused to come back. I indicated that my credit card should not be charged and they claimed that they called the office and relayed that message. I contacted the sale rep and sent him the photos and he said he would get the office to call me immediately. Then I found my credit card had been charged for the full amount! I contact the sales rep again but no response. The products seem to be very high quality, dehumidifier is great (and should be for the price) but it's the worst customer service ever. Apparently they are too busy selling these pricey products to care much about their customers.
July 15th, 2019: as a update, the company sent technicians to my house today, and they reinstalled the products. Again, the products are top notch, but the service has been rough. I greatly appreciate the follow-up and effort to make everything right.
Mario and Gonzalo were great. They took great care of our home while working very hard in the basement. They arrived on time and worked tirelessly until the job was done. They cleaned up and even moped the floor. I would recommend these guys for any job!

I recently reached out to Quality 1st as a repeat customer to get FlexiSpan installed in my basement. Josh Commack came out yesterday to provide me with an estimate (within hours of me inquiring about an appointment!). He was confident it was a quick and easy job and that FlexiSpan would do the trick for the issue we had. I booked on the spot with him. He was prompt, courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable. Quality 1st is always my first call for any basement/water issues!
We reached out to Quality based on the Angie's List reviews, and were convinced by the visit from Greg. He was so knowledgeable about the water problems, and pointed out the years of experience the company has. Also, we weren't looking for a bargain, we were looking for a dry basement, and Greg was very straightforward about all the costs. Now we haven't had a rainstorm yet, so we still don't know the most important thing about the job! But Victor and his crew were fantastic. They knew what they were supposed to do when they got here, and did the whole job-- as quietly as possible-- in less than 4 hours. They were pleasant to have in the house. They left the place clean. He went over and beyond to help me to cut out a portion of damaged wet sheet rock and continued to guide me with steps needed to prevent mold. This company has completed two jobs for me. Each time the technicians were friendly, professional, thorough, obviously cared about the project and doing it right. Each time everything was explained to me and options were presented. I never felt pressured and I felt they were being honest with me. Jack came out to do an inspection of a house I am involved with at no charge in Bedminster he was super professional throughout and his calm demeanor helped to calm me down! He was super honest about what the problem was and how to fix it, which is super important when dealing with foundation problems. Someone dishonest can take advantage of you during this time scare you and upcharge you on things you don't need. They are not like other contractors and are passionate about doing the right thing for you and your family! Thank you Jack!

Communication between salesman and actual installers was horrible. Installers only did part of job yet charged full price. No one in the company wishes to return any calls. BBB is now involved.
Joe was very straightforward and concise when providing estimate. Did not try to oversell. Communication in scheduling install was excellent even as I had to reschedule. Installers were on time, professional, fast and did a thorough clean up. So happy with the final result! Now I'm not scared to enter my crawl space!
I had an emergency sump pump issue. They moved around other appointments to fit me in ASAP. The technician arrived within the window they gave me and he did a great job fixing the problem in a timely manner.

I suffered with a tripping hazard on my driveway for the last 10 years. One slab had dropped 2.5 inches while the rest remained pristine. I called Quality First Basement Systems and they sent out Jessica to let me know my options. Jessica was on time, extremely personable and very knowledgeable. She gave me the estimate to do what is called PolyLEVEL (1/3 the price of replacing the bad areas) and arranged for a crew to resolve my problem. The two gentlemen that showed up were just as knowledgeable and friendly as Jessica. They explained everything they were going to do and answered any questions I had. Within a couple of hours my driveway was fully repaired. I am extremely satisfied not only with the quality of work but also with the quality of the people employed by Quality 1st Basement Systems. I would absolutely recommend them to anybody that needs this kind of service.

This was a project to convert the basement to a finished basement. They assisted in obtaining financing at a very good rate. The team arrived on time every day and left a very clean work area. I have been using quality first basement since the last 10 years. They did a great job installing the sump pump and water proofing. They have the yearly maintenance and their follow up is very timely.
Quality 1st repaired a foundation wall and installed a sump pump in my basement. We had some difficulty with the town approving the foundation wall repair and Kyle saved the day! He is the on site project manager. He coordinated with the engineer, the installers, and the town to make it right. In the end, we needed 2 extra steel support beams and Kyle made sure they were installed immediately and correctly without charging me extra. My only advice to anyone who needs a foundation repair is to request Quality 1st have the engineer visit the site first rather than later.
We had work done in our crawl space; installation of a sump-pump, french drain & dehumidifier. Quality First had the most fair price compared to three other companies we called for an estimate. The workers arrived on time, were very professional and got right to work. Ensured everything leading up to the crawl space was covered/draped to not get any dirt or dust. The team was all done and cleaned up by 12:30pm! Definitely recommend and would hire them again if needed.
I had Quality Basement out at my house today. Juan Garcia and his crew were excellent!!! there work was fantastic, Juan is very knowledgeable, he explained everything to me. we had our crawlspace done about 6 years ago by Quality. unfortunately we were hit by Storm SANDY!! Quality came out ,changed all effected plastic and sump pump. fixed my trench drains , and Juan noticed something that my general contractor did not see. My House needs 6 Smart Jacks installed which Juan will come out to do this week.. Great team of young men. respectful and well mannered. They worked non stop from 8 AM to 6 PM until job was finished .they did not take a lunch break. unbelievable workers>>> hard to find these days. I have gone through many contractors .These guys were excellent!!!!! I would call Juan and his crew out to my home for any other issues I may have in the future...
First, I would like to say that the technician Randy H gets 5 stars! He is very knowledgeable, professional, efficient and considerate. I have been very impressed with the technicians that have been to my house. The Sani Dry Sedona is effectively controlling the humidity in my approx 1000 square foot basement. I can't give 5 stars overall because I feel that the previous unit should have lasted longer. It requires refrigerant but Quality 1st Basements will not provide that service and sending the unit out is not cost effective. The new unit has a better warrantee.

Quality 1st was here yesterday installing a pump & waterguard in our basement and I would HIGHLY recommend them! Jonathan Niera was very informative & polite. He showed me how everything worked prior to leaving & left the place spotless. It's amazing how clean the work looks.
I was recommended to Quality 1st Basement Systems by my chimney guy in an effort to stabilize our 2 chimneys after we noticed they were pulling away from the house. After 12 quotes from chimney companies telling me I need to tear down and rebuild them, I was pleasantly surprised when I learned I could keep the structures while simply adding some stabilizing jacks.
Within a few days, Ken Peare had come to our house to give us a quote so we could move forward. He was professional and knowledgeable leaving me feeling good about the decision I was making. This was not an inexpensive job, but much cheaper than having my chimneys rebuilt. They were professional and courteous and completed the work in the amount of time they quoted. There were no pricing games, it was exactly what they quoted and it was nice that they took credit card as well.

We had our Quality 1st basement perimeter drain system with Triple back up pumps and exterior window wells installed in 2005. The professional, courteous, prompt, hardworking, and honest staff that arrives for our annual maintenance is always first class, just like Todd who was here earlier today. As normal problems arise over the years, like work worn out equipment, prices are fair and every effort is made to get here quickly. Many of my friends here in town also use Quality 1st, and are fussy just like me. They are very happy with the service they get, a rare thing these days.

My basement used to get water after every rain storm so I decided to contact 1st Quality. The salesman, Jay Hugee, was professional and very knowledgeable that it made the experience much more comforting. I just experienced the first significant rain storm and I didn't receive 1 drop of water. Highly recommend and one more thing to add is that the entire installation took 1 day which is impressive.

Victor Leon and his crew were more than courteous and professional. Victor explained everything that had been done and left the basement in a beautifully clean condition. There came a point when, of course, some cutting was being done in the basement and the sandy particles were being expelled through hoses into the backyard. A change in the wind pattern occurred and some of the sand was spread onto my neighbor's property. Victor made sure to clean their yard as well of any residue. Lovely experience.
