Worst Internet Service Provider ever... Bunch of liars... I am surprised Costco promotes this BS at their stores, they got me sign up by hiding that there's a modem rental fee and that there will be contract cancellation fee. So when i called to cancel the contract the lady said there will be a cancellation fee, we spoke and she agreed to waive it off. After a couple of months I get billed for $249.45 and when I called to inquire they said they know nothing about someone waiving off the Cancellation Fee of $149.50. Boooommmm Fu*king liars.... I somehow managed to pay the entire $249.45 and in July 2018 after 12 month of cancellation i receive another letter saying i owe them another $7.41, guess what I ain't paying nothing.

Absolutely horrible service , I moved to a new residence primus charged me 350$ to move and set up and the new location upon arrival the technician told me he could not install the dish , I asked for a refund since I was not able to get services they continued to charge me for 3 months following with no service I returned equipment and was still billed for it and 3 additional months after , disgusting !!!!

Nomination at the worst internet provider and the customer receives Primus. I mean you have to try really hard in order to find such lousy service. Plus you will receive only half the speed of the internet what has paid for, also rudest customer service, which will insist you to pay cancelation fee which was originally not mentioned in your contract otherwise they will threaten you that they will send collection services to contact you. My friendly advice stays away from them, better pay 10 $ more but use services of companies which will provide good service, and treat you with respect.

Just had an internet service for a week. Got it through their booth at Costco. Woke up to no internet service. After spending half an hour with their support on the phone, she told me it will take 24 to 48 hours to restore the service. Looking through the reviews found out it is the worst service in Canada. I got into the service with the trust that Costco will make sure only good companies can have sales outlets in their stores. The problem Primus locks you in a one year cancelation fee. I hope I can find a way to get out of it without paying. If I had the option I would give them a big ZERO star.

Have had no Interet for 2 weeks as of tomorrow. Spoke with them again today and asked to speak with a manager. They said none were available.They said they would get back to me within 2-3 hours and they haven't. Have no data left on my phone and I only stream so no tv. I am disgusted with there service and I want out of m contract!

Over promised and under delivered. They offered us a faster package and both times it never worked. Then they tried telling me it was the router. Sold my girlfriend the router and never sent it and charged her $150. We spoke to customer service and just got tossed back and forth between different departments with no resolve and them tacking on late fees for a product we never received. Other wise the internet is ok at best

From someone who knows the ISP market, I highly recommend that no one ever goes with this company. They are outdated in technology and super rude. I have been waiting 30 min on the phone and still no pick up from a customer service rep. I urge anyone who is planning on using this network provider to rethink life because this service is disgusting. Loyalty is important, unless youre imprisoned for 2 years after making the mistake of signing a contract with these guys. We have been counting down the days for our contract to end in all honesty. I dont even understand how this provider is still available....seems like no one works their according to the wait time. Please stay away and save yourselves.

I'm not fond of posting bad reviews for companies because this affects all staff employed by the institution but this is something I must complain about.

I woke up today to no internet connection whatsoever. I tried restarting both my modem and wireless router, which gave me about 40 seconds of internet then once again disconnected.

I went on Primus' website in which there were about 3 different numbers I could contact (ie. Customer Service, Technical Service, Sales, ETC)

I attempted calling ALL numbers and all gave me a "this number is not in service" voice automated message.

I tried calling the posted London and Elmira (Ontario location) numbers with BOTH giving me the same automated message.

I find it a little concerning when a company is charging you on a monthly basis yet their posted phone numbers are not in service.

This is not the first time we have had issues with Primus but as mentioned above, I'm not fond of posting bad reviews for a company as it affects more than one person.

Unfortunately, I advise all those in search of an internet/phone provider to stay clear of this company. At least as of right now.

Worst customer service I've ever had endured, not sure how this company still exists. Over the past week Ive been on hold for a easy 11 hours over four calls, like no words can explain my anger.

Also seems like none of their departments talk to eachother so they're all in the dark and causes neverending on hold calls. Poor poor business management overall.

TERRIBLE! this is the worst service I have ever dealt with! The internet is EXTREMELY SLOW! Any time I call their department, they leave me waiting for 3 HOURS, talk to me for less than a minute, and leave me waiting another hour! They told me I should upgrade my speed, even though MY LAST SERVICE OFFERED A SPEED 5 AND WAS MUCH FASTER, Primus is suppose to give me a speed 7, but I can barely get a speed 2! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DON'T GO WITH THIS SERVICE!!

Why can't I give them less than a star? After a year and a half of service that kept cutting out (about a dozen times a day), I now wait for months for my deposit back. They do not respond to e-mails, wait time on phone after I cancelled my account has become indefinite (over an hour today, no return of calls for last few calls). Avoid at all costs.

I have had primus for several years. In the last 2 years I have multiple failures on a monthly basis. No line availablel whenever the power goes out for even just a few seconds. I usually have to reboot everything 5 or 6 times, reset the router and frequently end up calling customer service for another hour of nonsense booting everything.imsick of paying for no service.

Worst possible service that I've received from any company. You will be continually frustrated and trying to deal with a refund (when they invariably over-charge you) will push you to the limit. I would not recommend them to anyone!

We had issues with the wifi connection being weak with their modem and then purchased a wifi booster that connected to their modem and the wifi signal is very strong. No connection issues at all ever. Modem is in the basement and we had virtually no connection up on the third floor bedroom and now with the wifi booster its perfect. I recommend purchasing a good wifi booster from best buy at a cost of about $100 but well worth the investment! No more lagging and wifi disconnects.

I cannot believe how dirty these guys are. I called months ahead to cancel my subscription before the renewal date because I have so much going on and I made the mistake of not cancelling the year before (which cost us a lot of money, yet we honoured it) and they wont let you cancel! They said that I have to call back with one month in advanced.

Absolutely terrible. Internet worked fine for about 1 year and then hasn't consistently worked for almost a year. It takes over 2 hours to get through to them and they don't like to credit your account despite not having a connection for part of the day if you had a connection at all during that day. I will be without internet for over a week by the time they SAY they will be out to fix the wires outside, which they supposedly fixed months ago! This past few weeks I've been calling almost daily and keep getting different answers. I'm done, I've been patient and now I can't help but be short with them on the phone because waiting 2 hours or more consistently means they choose to have terrible response time for their customers!

If I could give this company no stars, I would! Been without internet for the past 2 weeks. I ve called and called to get nowhere. Had service technicians at my place to tell me my modem is fried. My modem is only 1 year old, no one told me when I signed up that if I rented the modem, it would ve been covered for my 2 years I would ve had them. Called today and got nothing but attitude. DON T go with this company. All they want is your money and give you lousy customer service when you need help.

I cancelled my service with Primus as they were unable to to upgrade my internet within a reasonable period of time. I received my bill and they charged me for the upgraded internet that I never received. I called Customer Service and they told me to pay the bill so I do not go into their accounts receivable and they will be crediting me back at the end of month (final bill). I took this rep at his word and paid my bill back in May, to this day I have not received my refund. I have called multiple times and each time the reps have told me that the refund is in the mail. Primus has had $161.35 of my money since May and has not refunded a penny. Each time I call its a fight of me explaining I never received upgraded internet and should not be billed for it. Stay away from this company unless you like being ripped off and long hold times.

My mom signed up for home phone and internet at Costco over a month ago. They were to come November 1st. When I called the 1st time they had no file, but I was told it was to early to see a file coming from their booth at Costco. November 1st came and went. Called November 2nd, still no account, but the girl on the phone was more then happy to sign my mom up for a higher amount. We even read all the contract info.to her. My Mom's credit card has already been charged! The agent took the info and called the booth at Costco we guess. Came back and said that the tech will come in 8 days. Come on no internet for 8 days! Today is November 12th. No one came. My mom spent hours on the phone with them today. They don't have an account for her!!! How is this possible . I would not be giving them business. Oh and they still have not given her a credit when she closed her other account in July!!!

I have never dealt with worse customer service in my entire life. I wish I could give it 0 stars. The technicians that are there to help you are extremely rude and ask you questions as if you're incompetent when I'm actually really tech savvy! For example she asked me if I was connected to the right WiFi network when I was having HORRIBLE signal. What a joke. I hate Primus!

Not only have i gone my first 3 months with no service yet still paying my bill, but technicians and 3 modems later and after being told to keep the 2 spare modems as they kept having to switch them out but now thyve taken money from my account for these modems and even after being sent back are refusing to give me back my money.. That was my rent money. thanks primus for legally robbing me how awesome of you! by the way 0 stars not even one

I am a technician and have been trying to help a client with his dial-up service. Primus has the WORST customer service. You wait 1 - 1.5hrs on hold for tech support to get a representative that has absolutely no idea about their dial-up service, then have to hold another 30 mins to hopefully find someone that does. SHOP AROUND OR ASK ME, but do not use this company. The other reviews speak for themselves.

If you go with them, i warn you now dont upgrade your services. Infact in total i would go as far as saying dont go with them, they are fraudgulent scum bags, if you ask to upgrade your service in the middle of your 2 year term, they restart your contract with out telling you on the present time and then when you cancel they get all upset like children, they will send you your return package, but they only send you one stamp for two devices so they can try and bill you yet anouther 150 dollars. Their customer service treats you very poorly too, i once got told on the phone with a customer service rep they would not discuss financhal issues over the phone to someone younger then they are, and i was a paying customer.so word of warning they are a bad company, steer clear of them.

Horrible customer service. You call up and get some asian girl who sounds 10 years old who's reading from a prepared a script and wont deviate from it, you might as well be talking to an automated service.

Hard to understand and wait times are 4 times longer then they claim on the phone.

This is one of the worst internet services you can go with.

The service I received from Primus was fine however back in June/July I called to cancel. Primus did not cancel the line. I then called again, went through the same process to cancel my line but again receieved no confirmation of the cancellation, and I have just checked the line and it still works. I have just sent an email in an attempt to cancel the line.

Primus saved me from bell and saved me from the monopoly scam Cogeco had become. I was paying 180 for ... py bell Tv, home phone and high speed internet where I was lucky to hit 7mbps. I saw a flyer in the mail from Primus free activation home phone and unlimited internet 40 or higher speeds for 55 bucks plus ten bucks equipment rental. First three months 10 bucks off. No other fees or installation costs or anything. I decided give the 40mbps package a shot and port my home phone from bell. I dropped the ... py tv and hooked up an HD antenna on the side of the house which picked up 20 channels or so (more then enough). A guy from integrated market services showed up hooked up the cable internet for us helped me set up the phone and bang I was done with bell and good with Primus. My phone was amazing clarity worked well. The internet was cable lightening speed 40 or over mbps as promised. They use Cogeco lines or bell whichever package you choose determines what Primus will give you. They do have live chat at Primus.ca and they were completely honest with me. I was gonna go with 25mbps and the agent said forty mbps is a dollar less a month and will use a cable not the same bell dsl you are not satisfied with now. I went with the cable. I got unlimited cable internet and home phone andnim saving 120 a month. Canadians need to wake up and demand these companies who treat people fairly get more right. Thank you Primus my internet and phone is incredible and no need for tv. So many streaming options and antenna these days picks up true 4K and local channels like satellite or cable never could. Primus was the perfect soultuon for me and it will be for you. If you are unhappy with bell and you choose Primus and they use the same dsl line, expect the same results. So discuss your options with a Primus agent like I did and we found a solution for me because cable was available to me. Happy hunting everyone and give Primus a try!!!!
