I was searching for a Mini Convertible and was fortunate to come across an ad with a phone number for Prestman Auto. My initial impression was made by phone and it was good enough that I headed straight to the dealership for a test drive. Although Tracy is a busy man he managed to help me within minutes to get out and drive. In fact, everyone at Prestman Auto was comfortably helpful. I was attended to without being overwhelmed.
Being the thoughtful consumer that I am I needed some time to make some decisions and line all the ducks up, as it were. Tracy was encouraging yet flexible. We set an appointment for Monday morning. To tell it efficiently, I was able to line things up on my end and Tracy lined things up on his end.
Happy story, I drove away with a car that meets my needs and wants and an experience that leads me to fully endorse Tracy and Prestman Auto!
Our salesman, Christopher Sanchez, was awesome and went out of his way to make our car buying experience the best it could possibly be. He really isn't your typical car salesman and got to know me and my wife personally. He didn't try and push us into something we didn't want and only assured we were looking at what we asked to see. I personally will not buy from anyone but him from this point forward. I had the chance to work with a some of the other staff during this purchase and felt they only had their interested in mind while trying to sell me a car; Christopher on the other hand kept in contact and even watched my kids while we were doing paperwork. I admit I was a little worried thinking about buying a branded title vehicle at first. But Gus was fantastic to deal with and HE was the one that offered me the carfax report. They were all very friendly and helpful and made us comfortable. I can now see why they have been in business for almost 30 years. They seem to be honest, above board and courteous. Helped me buy a car and dealt with all my anxiety and Paranoia that I have from a previous bad car buying descision that was from a different dealer. Fernando was friendly, comforting, and stayed relaxed which help me not let my anxiety get too bad. Bob McFarland and Craig from services we more than willing to help history the car up and let me take a close look at the engine and even educated me on some if the other car engines they were working on. Prestman has changed my oppinion in dealerships and I look forward to working with them. So glad I made the decision to stop by and drive one of their cars.

If you are the type of person that wants a killer car for a deal that is almost too good to be true, Prestman is your place. I bought a 2013 Audi A6 Quattro Supercharged with 1280 miles (no, not a mistype) for $33K. Sticker on it was $57K. I was literally the first owner, 90% of the miles had been put on by Prestman bc it's such a fun car to drive. I had to go in to see it with my own eyes. I really had no intention on buying a car that day, but when they gave me a fair price on my 2008 Lexus is250 with 80K miles on it, I couldn't turn it down. I went in at 11 am and walked out with the Audi by 2 pm after a test drive and doing some other due diligence (since it is a branded title). Both sales guys I worked with were great, and weren't too 'salesy'.
As long as I live in SLC, I will have a dealership in Prestman. Trust me, you have to go in and see what these guys are doing. Amazing.
I ve never looked forward to buying vehicles because I feel hounded at every dealership I go to. Didn t feel that way at all at Prestman. I want to thank Porter for not pressuring me into anything but helping me with everything I needed without breathing down my neck. I ll be buying from Prestman from this point forward.

It felt good buying the car. Left 5 star review. I felt like I trusted the guys immediately. That was probably something I shouldn't have done. 1. They included $2700 warranty into my payment without asking me if I want it or how much it would cost. 2. They told me to bring the car back to fix the paint on the bumper and that it would take about 5 days. Well, my car has been sitting with them for 15 days now. I'm paying for the car I don't even have. Service called me 5 days after I dropped it off with the question "Why is your car sitting here?" 3. They told me we will get mats for the car. After we bought the car, they told me there are no mats but they can sell us some. 3. "Service with the smile" made me trust and not really look into paper work, so when when I actually noticed the warranty and it's price I decided to cancel it. Well, guess what. Cancelation period is 3 days! In 2016 where pretty much everything is returnable they told me I had only 3 days to cancel. Called the warranty company (National) they told me I can plead my case to them to cancel. 4. I'm trying to plead my case to them to cancel the warranty but it has been a "waiting game" for the past week. They say they will call me back but never do. I'm trying to get owners contacts from them - nothing.
Bottom line, I feel like they care only to sell you the car(which we love ,no complaints here...I just need it back!), manipulate you into paying for more extra things. And after they have their deal, you're not a priority anymore.
My wife and I were interested in the Ford Edge and initially went to a dealership to look it over. After getting an awakening about the sticker price on a new model, we immediately visited our friends at Prestman Auto -- they had several '12s and '13s on the lot and the difference in every facet of the experience was dramatic: the prices, the service, the convenience and the comfortable feel of the showroom at Prestman made it an easy choice. Sales Manager Tracy Ball is a pro in every sense of the word, and I daresay I actually...enjoyed(!) the process.

What a good experience we had in purchasing from Prestman. Christian was very attentive to our needs and concerns. We've had the car a month now and we are loving it!
Like several reviews on here have said, the initial experience as they're trying to get you as a customer is great. Then once you've bought the car you can forget about good customer service. When I bought my Subaru Crosstrek, the front bumper was not latched on properly and the salesperson, Tyler, guaranteed that Prestman's service department would be able to get that fixed for me and that it wouldn't be an issue. This was far from the truth. Their first attempt at fixing my front bumper, they ruined the paint and made it look even worse than before. The gap from the latches was wider and worse off. So their second attempt and almost 2 weeks later the bumper looks somewhat better now but it is not latched on perfectly as they had assured me upon purchase. Tyler, the salesman was made aware of my concerns and has not followed up with me with even an attempt to make it right which is not surprising.
I would not purchase a vehicle from this company again.
I bought an SUV from Prestman and had a great experience. I worked with Micah and it was very easy and straightforward. He let me drive the car and go over it with a fine tooth comb. He answered all my questions very professionally. He worked very hard to make sure I was completely satisfied. He followed up to make sure everything was still all right a couple of days later. It was nice to work with a salesman that did more that just let you drive a car and actually worked with me throughout the process

Last night after test driving a car my daughter and I found ourselves locked out of our vehicle. Our key is apparently worn out, something Fernando and another salesman figured out after trying to help us. The dealership was closed but we ran back inside and Fernando stuck with us while we called out insurance company. They could only offer us towing service so we had to call a lock smith. Fernando would not allow us to wait outside alone, so we waited in the dealership.for quite a while. The dealership was closed and we wanted him to be able to go home to his family. He said he would only leave if we stayed inside the restaurant next door. He walked us to the door of the restaurant and we thought he had gone home. When we walked out to meet the locksmith Fernando was right behind him. He waited til the car was unlocked and checked our key would still start the car. He left when we did !! Honestly its so good to know there are perfect gentlemen in the world still, my husband was very appreciative that someone made sure his wife and daughter were not left stranded and were also being 'protected' .What could have been a very stressful situation was totally fine. Thank you!!!

I do want to mention that the second time driving it, I noticed something wrong with the radiator fans. Although I didn't buy the extended warranty (which I should have), Prestman still took it in and fixed it. I was very skeptical at first not of Prestman auto but of rebuilt/restored cars. So I went into the whole situation not very optimistic. Their inventory was awesome. They carried a lot of very nice cars and made my selection process really easy. Salesman (Tracy Ball) was cool and patient to my skepticism. I found a car that I loved and I did a little research, asked some more questions and put money down. There were minor cosmetic things I wanted fixed before I paid the full purchase price, so while I was out of town they took car of ALL of them and even a little extra (like new floor mats). So far so good. If this car holds up I anticipate buying cars from Prestman Auto for years to come...great place and great team.

We are really happy with the WRX we just purchased and the deal we got with the No Dicker Sticker price. Tracy and Dave worked hard to get the financing that worked best for us. We appreciate all that they did, and Tracy's enthusiasm about the car and getting us a good deal on a great car. While we didn't get the full tank of gas we expected when we drove away, the car was detailed and super-clean, runs great, and overall we had an amazing experience...free t-shirts, exciting picture and all! The next time we are out to find a car, we will go to Prestman Auto first, and would recommend it and Tracy to anyone looking for a car.
Be a little suspicious when you only see great reviews. Prestman had a car we were interested in, and the listed price was fair, not great but fair. Then inquired about the fees/out the door. SHOCK!! Compare their fees to standard expected fees and be ready to rethink this place. In this case the added fees amounted to 14.6% of the list price. Of course T&L are standard but the rest are variable/not fixed and VERY HIGH!!

Ok, this was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. To give a little back story... I had some medical issues in 2014 which obviously made me take a hit on my credit... A big hit. I didn't know how or when I would be able to purchase a car on my own. Went in to Prestman Auto and worked with Chase Billings to find a car I wanted. (He said he would work on the financing stuff later and just wanted me to find my dream car... And I did!) I test drove several cars including some beautiful Audi A5's. Chase told me to drive a car I wasn't even considering because I didn't think it would be in my price range, not only was it in my price range but ended up being the perfect car. Audi A6 3.0T SUPERCHARGED baby!! Chase and Prestman Auto did what Prestman does best, found me the perfect car and handled the financing and got me approved!!! BAM! I am now the proud owner of a beautiful car that I absolutely love. Couldn't thank Chase and his hard work enough! Thanks Prestman Auto Team!! -Jared H.

We spent a long time over several days looking at very many cars trying to pick the right car for our son who lives outside the country and was trusting us to buy him a car before he came home. At no time did I feel any pressure from Dub or Cliff or any of the sales staff. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful and allowed us to take our time to find just the right car. The price was right in with the added warranty we have a peace of mind that this will be a great car for many years to come.
I wish I could put into words just how extremely awful my experience was with Prestman Auto. To highlight some main points: AWFUL SERVICE, MANY NONSENSE FEES (EXPECT $1,000+), BUYING PROCESS IS A JOKE, WORST BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER.
I have never dealt with more disrespectful or shady car dealers in my life. I went in recently looking for an easy, quick purchase as I was pre-approved for a loan and already had a car picked out. After wasting my entire day, I came home with no car and the worst service you could imagine.. I don't even know where to begin. First off, their seemingly "low" prices are just a scam to get you in the door. You can expect at least $1,000 in additional fees that they claim are standard on every car. They are complete nonsense. Second, they INSISTED I finance through their bank (which is expected as car dealers want you to finance through them). Our salesman would not let up even though their bank was offering the same rates and financing as my bank. She continued to run my info and rack up another inquiry on my credit even though I was pre-approved through my bank. Third, they WOULD NOT give me an out the door price nor would they even let me talk to the finance department to get an idea. They claim the final price would be sent to my bank when I go to close on my loan. HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE?! What if I get to my bank and discover an extremely high price with countless nonsense fees included? Well, after waiting at my bank for over an hour for the paperwork to be faxed over (because they REFUSED to hand the purchase agreement over to me), we finally gave up and returned to the dealership. To our surprise, our salesman was off showing another car and pushed our paperwork off. Lastly, after further inspection of the car we discovered a quick fix the dealership had done to one of the tires. One of the front tires had an extremely bad gash in the sidewall and the dealership tried to cover up the damage with superglue in hopes to make it inconspicuous. Luckily, we made this known to the employees and they agreed to take a small amount off of the sales price.
I really hope no one has to experience the atrocity I went through. Please do not waste your time like I did. Your money will go further and be much better spent elsewhere, trust me.
My wife and I have not purchased a vehicle from prestman auto but we have been looking cause they do have great deals. I worked in customer service for quite sometime so customer service is always very important to me, and in all honesty I think most people that work in sales at car dealerships don't really care for customer service, they just care about their commission check. However, I have been very surprised with the customer service I have received thus far from the folks at prestman auto.
The first dealership where I felt I was actually being told the truth about a vehicle and given honest information about their prices. They even sent me pics of the car I was interested in, and the damages it had when they bought the car!!! I'm personally a bit nervous on the idea of buying a branded title vehicle, but without a doubt if prestman auto has the car my wife and I are looking for branded title or not I'm going to them before just about any other dealership in the salt lake valley.
Awesome experience. Completely seamless. You ll leave not questioning weather you made a good decision or not. It was very very transparent. Will definitely buy from them in the future. Do your research on branded cars before you count it out of the question. You I ll definitely get the biggest bang for your buck. Excellent facility and employees.
Shopping at Prestman Auto was a better experience then i could have ever imagined for car shopping. The entire staff was amazingly friendly, helpful, and patient. I never felt like i was being "pushed" into anything, they truly wanted to get me whatever i wanted. On top of all that they had amazing prices that i haven't seen anywhere else. I like buying cars about as much as going to the dentist. When I came to Prestman Auto I was ready to do battle with a typical car salesman. I was very pleased to find out that the car buying process was not a hassle. Tracy was great to work with and provided a no pressure experience. I would definitely recommend Prestman Auto to anyone looking for a great deal on a car.
I recently bought a 2016 Honda Odyssey the van was running great until I noticed that the air conditioner was turning off whenever the car was not in motion. I took it to a mechanic and had an assessment done and they found that the right cooling fan in the engine was wired backwards blowing air out instead of over the engine. This was lefted unfixed it could cause permanent damage to my motor. I also bought the extended warranty but of course this warranty does not cover it because it's considered a pre-existing condition before the sale. The estimate was over $300 to get fixed. The coolant system was also overcharged causing too much pressure and not allowing the pumps to work like they should. So they had to go back in and drain all of the coolant oils in freon and then recharge it. The mechanic also found that the alarm system was wired incorrectly and would not allow you to hear a horn beep when you lock the car. It's a minor issue but little things have been overlooked. this would cost me hundreds of dollars just to get to the alarm system to have it rewired. The salesman told me that everything has been checked and all of those systems working correctly so buyer beware. Sounds like they need a mechanic to check their mechanics work.

Went to the dealership on Tuesday to check out a 4Runnner - I was very meticulous with my inspection being a salvage car dealer. The car was in pretty good shape so I placed my down payment and came back on Saturday to pick up the car. When I got the car home I noticed a panel in the back of the car was damaged beyond repair. I called my sales rep and was told it will be take care of. I have gone 48 hours without a callback or response on the issue. Definitely concerned where I just spent 30k
Edit: you definitely get what you pay for. These cars appear to be "deals" because they are flawed in some way. The car has interior panels broken and other odd things broken as I dig deeper into it (to add after market lights and switches). Watch out these snakes
Dub and Ben were the best. The picked me up from the shuttle and treated me so good. I would recommend Prestman auto to anyone! The finance guys were awesome as well. 5 stars for sure!!
The facilities and sales people were above average here. We were offered several beverages on that hot day and it was cool inside. The sales foreman was a bit pushy tho.
This was my first experience with Prestman auto. I have bought a couple of cars in my life, never have I had the customer service that Prestman provided. there salesman were friendly and my salesman TREVOR DURFEY was fast. I went in at 9:30 and had my new vehicle bought and paid for by 3:30. that included my test drive and waiting for them to detail the vehicle. they let me buy my vehicle before they had even officially put the car on there lot for sale, they are very flexible with helping the buyer. all in all I would have to say the Prestman auto team is the best around, it was the easiest and best experience I have ever had buying a vehicle.
