Long story, but we bought a car from Prestman Auto in Lindon back in July. had a great experience with them! (I LOVE cars - hate the car-buying experience usually). Our vehicle came with DVD players in the headrests that we were told worked great! We didn't have a DVD to try, so we took the salesman's word for it. However, within a few days we realized that the DVD players didn't work. We took the vehicle back to the Prestman, who had to take it to the service department for the manufacturer (this was not something the Prestman service department couldn't fix). No joke, dealing with that service department was a nightmare!! However, Fernando at the Lindon office took over and we finally have functioning DVD players!! I've never had a manager or dealership work like Fernando did to make sure we were taken care of! Thank you Fernando! We'll definitely come back for our next vehicle!!
BEWARE! Smoke and mirrors. Reviews are only high because they offer free service and car details in exchange for 5 star reviews. Every person I have met since I purchased my vehicle from Prestman who also bought a car from Prestman has been bitterly anger with the company. My neighbor was jipped by the company as well as filed a case with Better Business Bureau. The owner of Prestman called them and threatened litigation.
Their cars may be good for the most part. But you won't find a company that is less concerned about their customers.
They lied to me on the phone about miles and features of the car. The lied about my car not having been in an accident. They tried to sneak an additional $5,000 worth of fees and charges on to my bill, and seemed surprised and offended when I asked for an itemized list of what i was being charged for. I was offered a free detail, which was nothing more than two squirts of armor all. They didn't disclose known-issues with the vehicle. They knew the vehicle needed an oil change, yet did nothing about it. They gave me the vehicle on an empty tank. I asked them questions about the vehicle and the said they'd "check on it", but I haven't heard a thing from them.
Do yourself a favor and buy from people who value integrity and transparency, not Prestman.

I was looking for a vehicle for several months. I knew what I wanted and knew the price range that I wanted every time I looked it was Prestman who had the better deals. I was treated so nice and everyone was very courteous and wanted to make sure we were taken care of. Since we traveled from Idaho they made sure the bank could see us right away to sign papers for our financing. I would definitely buy another vehicle from there and will recommend them to anyone looking for a vehicle.
Best car buying experience I ve ever had...and it s not even close. Zero pressure or games, slick process and incredible pricing. Justin Coburn was a great rep who bent over backwards for me, even meeting me days later for floor mats and an extra key. Oh, and did I mention the price? Haha. Great place to shop for a car. Treatment was exceptional and no pressure. Kyle and Dub were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The approach of helping you buy a car vs trying to sell you a car is really appreciated. All my questions were answered including the type of accident and the damage that had occurred to my car. I throughly examined the car and found no trace of damage and I know what to look for. Thier business model was thoroughly explained and really makes alot of sense. The price of the car was just under $9,000 less than the value of the car. I'll definitely be a repeat customer.
We came in a couple weeks ago in January, to test drive a couple cars, Jack Root was awesome, answered all our questions and we got to test drive both cars we came in for! We couldn t make a commitment right away though so Jack kept us updated on the cars available for the next couple weeks. He informed us that a car we were interested in had sold, but shortly after told us another one had come in to their Lindon location! He had it transported to SLC for us. We came back in just yesterday (Feb.5th.) not expecting to make any decisions right away, but ended up purchasing the car! Next thing you know my husband sees a Tacoma on the lot and wants to test drive, loved it.... so we got that too! Jack Root and Jeremy Batt were really awesome and gave us an awesome experience! Thanks guys!! We re so excited and impressed with the customer service!
Terrible experience! As soon as i walked in they were pushing papers at me to sign. I told them multiple times that I wanted to keep my options open. I was looking at a rebuilt title for 22,000$ and I was going to throw down nearly half for a down payment to keep my payment low. They ran my credit and took me to the finance guy. I again told them i'm still gonna keep my options open. Finally the finance guy was going over numbers and after putting 10,000$ down on a 22,000$ car i still owed 24,000. How does that even make sense? I told them I could get pre qualified through my bank and they discouraged me from that just to give me a 9 percent interest rate. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. THESE DUDES ARE CROOKS!
They were great! I picked up my truck today and they made it very easy for me, very upfront about what was needed and how the truck was. My salesman was Matt and I would definitely recommend him for anyone! He looked at my financing paperwork and got me approved and signed for over the phone in one night!! Great job guys! Love my Toyota Tacoma!

This experience was, by far, the easiest and most classy of any I've experienced!! We live out-of-state and I'd been looking online for a week to find a very specific type of car. We found one car that surpassed what we hoped for. We knew the car was not in our state but we really loved the price coupled with the quality of the car. We researched the dealership and found it had really great reviews, so we made a phone call and got connected with Trevor. He was so incredibly helpful and so easy and fun to work with. We were able to contact him day or night with questions or concerns. We had my father-in-law test drive the car since he's local with the company and he had nothing but rave reviews about the car AND about Trevor. After that, we were sold. The paperwork was actually much easier than I expected. We emailed and called a few times and looked over, talked about, and discussed any questions we had. It was simple. We signed all of the paperwork via email and flew to Utah. It literally took us 10 minutes to drive away with our beautiful new car. We are incredibly impressed with the level of professionalism and how personable Trevor was. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this dealership to everyone we know and everyone we don't know. We were looking for an efficient car with low miles to drone 100 miles a day, to and from work, so we would stop accruing miles on the Z3 Roadster. Found Prestman in Auto Trader and went to the lot. Trevor Durfey politely came to our assistance and put up with my husbands way of "inspecting and driving the cars" He's been a mechanic since 1979 and can be a very scrutinizing. Trevor even took an interest in the ways my husband went over the cars. Trevor answered all our questions. We bought a red 2013 Focus and when the deal came in high on the monthly payment and my husband simply said.. NO NO Noooo.. that will not work. Trevor came back with the payment we wanted. NOW the bank tried to up the interest. down payment and monthly payments so we just paid the contract off at Prestman.. We took the car to California for the week end and it performed with out even as much as a hiccup.... Absolutely the best buying experience... for ANYTHING!!!!
Overview: Overall a great buying experience, but there are issues on being completely transparent which is a major issue for me. I still got a great vehicle, I know they will service it well, and it was below the cost of other dealerships around. Read below to understand where Prestman isn't being completely transparent about their sales process.
Dub (Sales Rep) 5/5 Dub was our sales rep. He was incredible, communicated well, and worked to get us a great deal on our vehicle. He was knowledgeable, and truly wanted us to do what was best for our family.
Marshall (Manager) 2/5 Marshall was nice enough and personable. The issue I had though was when it came to signing final paperwork and getting the final pricing. It was clear that the prices for the Title, Registration, and Plate Transfer were inflated based on what the state is actually charging. Tthey also charge a 'dealer documentation fee' which is not legally required to be charged (but not illegal either), I believe it was around $249. It's ultimately a way to skim an extra few hundred dollars (around $400 in our case) in revenue onto the price of their vehicles.
What I like about Prestman is they are professional and upfront about everything....except when it comes to these inflated fees. When I questioned Marshall on this, he was very unprofessional, and stated he didn't know if these fees were inflated, and didn't want to know...because then if he did know they were inflated he'd have to tell a customer that he knew they were.
In this day and age transparency is important. Information is power, and needs to be used properly. Witholding information breeds distrust. They need to communicate that they are inflating these fees. It doesn't bother me at all that I was apparently the first one to question them on this, in fact I hope others will also question them on this. I would've been much more ok with it if they told me up front that that is what they were doing vs. me having to uncover it for myself. A few hundred dollars really isn't a big deal, but it is when it is being hidden from you.
Please be transparent in all your dealings, don't silo yourself and be transparent in part of the process but not the entire process.
Extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile to make ends meet. No pressure in pushing a sale, but willing to do what needs to be done to get you in your new car. I highly recommend asking for Gus!

I purchased a 2008 Lexus IS 250 from Tracy Ball this weekend and so far it has turned out to be the best car I've ever owned, I absolutely love it! I payed thousands of dollars less for the car. The car had a broken headlight when I bought the car so I took it back a couple days later to have them fix it. Not only did Tracy have his mechanic put a whole new headlight in but he had the mechanic put a whole new headlight on the other side too! So now I have the 2012/2013 model headlights in my 2008 Lexus, which looks so sick! I loved how Tracy was patient with me as we looked over a few different cars and he made looking at and test driving cars a lot of fun. He had a great attitude and he was very positive throughout the entire experience. He reassured me everything would be taken care of before I bought the car and he and his team came through on all his reassurances after I had made the purchase. I love it, thanks guys and keep up the awesome work!

Alex Romero was phenomenal!! We have bought from Tracy Ball previously and he referred us to her. She was so great and patient with how many different cars I needed to look at and drive at both locations. Bought a 2015 Ford Explorer sport. Was excited a bought the lower cost on the salvage title, I d say I paid 3-5k less than another comparable used sport. I have Had nothing but issues since i bought It. Paint is flaking, door panels falling apart, electrical components inside don t work. Dealer is always booked out on service appointments as well. We got it back after they worked on it one time and there was a new significant clank in the front end. After making it to mesquite (power steering went out in beaver in a snow storm) the dealer said the part they put in was faulty and they had left off the sway bars when they put it back together. After another trip to the repair shop for my a.c not working in the middle of the summer, i popped The Hood and they had left off the plastic housing that goes on top of my motor as well as the plastic skirting that goes underneath (meant to direct air and keep things cool under there) multiple calls to the service manager Daniel and he keeps telling me he will send the parts out and never has. Soured me on ever buying a branded title again. Thank goodness we purchased the extended warranty, they were awesome

I had a really bad experience with prestman the car had issues and I purchased the warranty and they wont fix or replace the vehicle. They keep stalling and saying that they have fixed the vehicles but everytime I keep finding different issues and they dont even reassemble the vehicle after they have taken it apart. Everytime I go in or call I get different answers and I am frustrated with the whole thing. Buyer beware even after purchasing warranty form them they won't fix the vehicle.
The best car dealership I've ever been to. My husband and I ran in 10 minutes before they closed (which is the worst thing for a customer to do, I know) but we just had to look at one of their cars. We worked with Landon and Travis, who I would highly recommend. Landon listened to our car needs and found us exactly what we were looking for while staying within our budget, and Travis made the financing process quick and easy. Both of these gentlemen went above and beyond for us. They stayed for two and a half hours after their closing time just to make sure that we had a pleasant experience at their dealership. We walked in planning on buying a cheap car, and walked out with TWO beautiful quality vehicles and we couldn't be more happy with our purchase.
I went to Prestman Auto yesterday to look at a particular car, they let us take it on a test drive to my home to make sure that it fit in the garage. After driving it for a little bit I decided that it wasn't perfect. When Marshal found out that I wasn't sold he went over everything on the lot that fit to my needs and I ended up falling in love with the perfect car!! I had a great experience and would defiantly recommend them to anyone.

Not your typical car buying experience! Prestman Auto was informational, but not pushy. Their experience with branded title vehicles gives you a great value. The no haggle experience was great. Thank you Trevor Durfey for the most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. We will be back for our next vehicle purchase.
Prestman Auto pressures customers into leaving good reviews BEFORE they even drive off the lot with freebies and car washes, so these reviews aren't very legit. What they don't tell you, is that you end up paying the same amount for a clean title car, because they pressure you into getting an extended warranty that's only good for engine and transmission issues, not the other million things that go wrong with your car first. THE WORST PART is that you'll have a VERY hard time selling your car yourself. The rest of the world does not want a salvage title. All of Prestman Auto's cars have been TOTALED. That is why they push "branded title" cars, because it sounds nicer than salvage title or a totaled car. Also, not all insurance companies cover salvage titles, and they charge more. I didn't know all of this previously, so I feel like everyone should know what they're getting in to. I will end up losing way more money after I finally sell the car.

We just bought a 2015 Ford Explorer and Jordan made it extremely fun and easy even though the car we wanted at first ended up being taken (it seemed like it was definitely a system issue that was showing cars available that actually weren t on the lot or were already sold). But, Jordan didn t let that keep us from getting a fantastic car that we absolutely love. Tracy helped us get squared away on the finance side of things and kept things so upbeat that our 3 year old daughter even had a blast! We will definitely come back if we are ever in need of a vehicle in the future.
Meh. Unwilling to negotiate. Glad to make promises of things they'll do after the sale, however. But, not willing to actually do those things unless you harass them into doing it. Still waiting. :) They kept bothering me to review them on Google, even though I warned that they haven't yet fulfilled their end of the deal fully. Heard excuses that "that part was someone else". From my perspective though, that is to say a customer, you represent the company. When you make a promise that "someone else" is meant to deliver, I still expect you to deliver. You wanted the review, you've got it.

This was the most fun I've ever had buying a car. The only challenge is that they have SO many awesome cars, it's hard to choose just one, but that's part of the fun too. We were able to drive four cars we considered after looking online. Their prices are so much more reasonable than anywhere else.

I had a great experience at Prestman Auto. Tracy Ball is the great guy and an asset to Prestman Auto! He helped us find the perfect car at the perfect price. We've been searching for a few months and our patience was wearing thin. Tired of car salesman trying to push us into cars we didn't want while stepping on the heel of our shoes while we looked for something. Our experience with Tracy was much different and so refreshing. He was upfront and honest from the gecko. He takes great pride in the company he works for and his enthusiasm shows. He listened to what we were looking for and addressed any questions and answered them with outside data, not just his own opinion. He let us test drive cars without hovering over us. Once we found a car we really loved,Tracy let us take it for the day to make sure it was right for us. We had it looked over by our mechanic and our body shop. Everything checked out great except for a couple of minor details which Tracy said he would personally make sure they would be taken care of. He was delightful during the finance process....we actually had fun! I will definitely bring my business back to Tracy as well as refer my family and friends to Prestman Auto.
I recently bought my new ford edge from Dub from Prestman Auto and I had the best experience! Dub was not pushy, very helpful with running numbers to provide the best deal for me. I could tell that he had my best interest in mind. I needed help getting home with my new and old car, Dub and his team provided transportation for me, it was no hassle.
I was 38 weeks pregnant at the time, Dub was so great with my time and being very flexible with me to make me feel so comfortable. He even remember when I was going to have my baby, he called to congratulate me and make sure everything was going well.
That was really going above and beyond to me, it wasn't just a sale but it was a personal experience and they showed that they cared . I will think about them in the future is I want to buy again.
