We had a good experience with prestman auto. Chase was good to work with and was helpful. We love the car we got there. They are upfront with what they sale and are honest. They also gave me good money for my trade.
The only complaints I have was their fees are pretty high compared to some other dealers. $299 doc fee is standard, 369 destination didn't seem normal for a used car dealer, and at the end we had to pay a $300 or so window laser etching fee. All none negotionable. So add $1000 to the price when looking. Also I felt they they were pretty slow. The salesman and managers all seem to get along and spend a lot of time shooting the bull. I sat there for over 2 hours after all was said and done.

My first contact was with Landon. Super sweet kid! My next contact was with Chase. I did initially tell him about a week before we went in that we were trying to stay under $16,000, but might be able to go up to $17,000 AFTER taxes and fees, depending on the vehicle. We did not want to finance.
My husband talked with Chase on the phone before we went in. The car's price (a Kia Sedona) was a little above what we really wanted to be paying, so Tyree (my husband) was trying to talk him down to get the best deal possible. Chase told us that he knew he could get the price down to a set amount on the vehicle, and there was a chance he might be able to get it lower if we came in and test drove it. He would then have to talk to the person above him. He then even offered to pay for our gas to come out and test drive the car (we were coming from Provo to SLC). I assume that he was attempting to get us into the car so that we would see all the bells and whistles and just HAVE to have it, and that we would then be okay with the price tag.
Fast forward: we go in, arrive at about 5pm. Got into the test drive fairly quickly; that's great. Then Landon asks if we want to fill out the credit app so that everything can go quickly should we decide to drive the car. Now, I'll remind you that we were trying to keep it under $17,000 at MOST, preferably below that. Unfortunately, our taxes were delayed so we did not have enough to pay cash and were considering financing the remainder until we got our refund. So we fill out the credit app, assuming the application would not be processed until we settled on a price. At this point, we still had not seen Chase except when we drove the van. He never came to talk price with us, even though he know FULL WELL that we were not planning to pay the sticker price on it. If we'd been told that that is what we'd pay, we would have driven home immediately after the test drive. So we waited until 7:20 to talk to Tracy (the finance guy). We were under the impression that he was the one that we would be talking price with. We saw Chase leave at 7, of course never giving us the gas money he'd promised.
We get in there with Tracy, FINALLY, at about 7:20. We HAD to leave by 7:30 because I teach from home, and my first class that night was at 9pm. We had to drive back to Provo and still get our kids to bed, whose bedtime is 7:30, so I was already annoyed that it was taking this long.
We get in there and find out that he thought we were paying the full sticker price; Chase had never told him the price he'd told us. We also then found out that Tracy does NOTHING with negotiating prices. So there we were, a credit application had been filed (which of course puts hard inquiries on our credit record), for more money than we intended. The application was filed and we were NEVER EVEN TOLD THE AMOUNT OF THE REQUESTED LOAN (Illegal?)! I got a letter in the mail from a credit union explaining why we were denied. The amount of the requested loan was more that $1000 OVER our MAXIMUM BUDGET. If we had been told the amount being requested, I would have (1) been able to tell them we would not get approved because our income is not enough (which was exactly why we were denied) and (2) that we had no desire to pay that much total regardless of whether we could get approved. It was not a big deal to us if you they could not come down on the price. We do not need the vehicle immediately and have time to shop around, but good heavens, just be honest about it. If someone had just told us that, we would have walked away. We would not have had the hard inquiries placed on our credit report and we would have gotten home before my kids' bedtime. My husband was literally putting our kids to bed when I began teaching that night because we got home so late.
I feel like this whole experience was just a big scheme. Of course, since we were denied financing I never got a call back from Landon or Chase after the weekend. I also never reached out because I have zero desire to do any business with this dealership.

If buying a car with a branded title worries you, just buy a warranty, they're relatively inexpensive and will give you some peace of mind while you drive away. Trust me the money you save will make up for more than enough if you do buy a warranty; which you're better off buying with a used car anyway!
Bottom line is, if you want a smokin' deal on a kickin' car buy from these guys! Or if you like getting the run around feel like another number customer, go to any other major car dealer on state street, I'm sure they'd love to take as much money as they can get from you.

What wasn't a great experience and part of the reason why I am giving less than 4 stars, is the sales team. It has been almost 6 months since I bought my car, so I don't remember his name, but my salesperson was terrible. Left us for pretty much the entire transaction. The best part of the experience was the finance guy, he was thorough, made us feel comfortable and no pushy at all. He was the reason we went forward and I pushed to have him get the commission over our salesperson.
The salespeople all have the door to door salesman type vibe... Was very very unimpressed by the team.

We made a quick decison on what car we wanted and STILL spent over 5 hours waiting. We kept asking what was taking so long and never got good answers. And seemed like they almost forgot we were there.We waited for car detailing after we finally bought the car for additional hour after we were told it would only take 15 minutes. Granted there were massage chairs for ALL the waiting but even my back couldn't handle a 5+ hour massage!!! Great cars...nice people..but so slow.

I've had my car two weeks now with no issues, everything functions and operates as if the car had never been driven or repaired. Was able to get a warranty that covers pretty much the same things the factory warranty does as well as GAP insurance. The best part is even thou I have bought the car and I'm back home in Las Vegas Travis stills makes efforts to reach out to me to make sure I'm doing well as well as making sure the vehicle is running good and no issues. However, as soon as Bobby Records approached me about my being there, he immediately starting discussing the vehicles they had on the lot. At Prestman Auto I was able to find and purchase the vehicle that I wanted that was also within my budget. Tracy (salesman) answered my questions and was patient and understanding of my skepticism with buying a car with a branded title. I appreciated his awareness of my children and the difficulty that comes with car shopping with kids. They both received popsicles within the first five minutes of arriving and my son was able get inside the race car on display inside the show room, which was the highlight of his week. We had issues with the financing not being submitted correctly between the dealership and the credit union, the licence plates were extremely delayed due to title issues, the title was not submitted to the financing company properly causing an increase in our interest until received from the dealership, and more. I'm a very frustrated consumer.

The "150 point inspection" is a gimmick and isn't worth the paper its printed on. They sold me a vehicle with an existing problem that needed repair and were unwilling to even share the cost of repairs at any level. If you buy a vehicle from Prestman, I would recommend having your own mechanic look it over.

I purchased a 2017 Toyota Sienna from Prestman Auto in preparation for a long drive for a vacation the weekend after the purchase. One day into the trip we could hear a knock coming from the front end. The knock has become progressively worse. We took it into the toyota dealer and they recommended replacing both front struts and mounts. (Full disclosure, I did not purchase the extended warranty.) After contacting Prestman about the issue they were unwilling to offer any help other than to purchase the extended warranty (which ends up being around $4000).

We worked with both Alec and Tracy on buying our like-new Honda Odyssey. They were both great to work with us and let us take out as many vans as we wanted as many times as we would like. Super chill, low pressure environment, the kids loved running around and looking at all the nice clean cars. The only hold up in the while process was a little bit of sticker shock at the end because our expectations were set lower for an out-the-door number.

This is the worst car dealer I have ever encountered. Have been trying for over a week to talk to a salesman and cannot get one on the phone. No one is ever available and none of them will return messages. Then the salesman who emailed me (Dub Reed) also refused to pick up the phone. So if you live out of state and want to buy a car from them, they are not an option.

Miller, when I was looking on Google and came across Prestman Auto. I contacted them and they seemed extremely friendly over the phone. I decided to come in the following business day and that's when I was put in contact with Debbie F. What a blessing in disguise. From the moment she said hello I was treated with pure honesty, forward-ness, she was humble and caring. She is definitely an amazing addition to Prestman Auto. So started looking at some other SUV options. A young saleswomen with brown hair was assigned to help. About 30 seconds of checking out their other Explorer and Tacoma inventory on the web, got the weirdest snap from her - what do you think you re going to accomplish!? I m thinking, the hell do you think? shop for a new car! I asked her if she had something more important to do, her response was an irritated retort about not making an appointment. I ll grab one of our newbies who s training. Hey, lady, you re a used car salesperson, not an MD. Newbie let me check out a couple trucks and was a nice kid, but had no ability to show me anything without talking to his boss. The instant vibe when I walked in the door to this place is: move inventory to chumps as fast as possible.
