Have to say that Tablas has become one of my favorite wineries in Paso. We've been coming here over the past few years..the first time I came here I didn't love the style of wines but as my taste buds have evolved over the years, I have come to appreciate how yummy the Tablas wines are. We also took a trip to the Rhone region so have really come to appreciate Grenche / Syrah blends.

Tablas carries both blends and varietals and we've been lucky to try various wines. The Patelin de Tablas is an excellent table wine that is quite inexpensive. We love the Tanat and Mouvedre and Syrah. Esprit de Tablas is also quite a lovely wine. There's also a new pinot noir that my friends enjoyed which I did not love.

Each time we've visited, our wine pourers have all been incredible knowledge Tablas wine as well as wine in general. There is a big binder full of information that you can read if you so please. What's nice is on the website there is a vintage chart telling you the optimal time to drink your wine.

On our last visit, we were helped by Gustavo who was so incredibly informative. We had a group of seven and Gustavo was incredibly patient with us and helping us determine what wine to purchase. Thanks!

My recent experience at Tablas Creek was incredible! Along with the beautiful scenery, Amanda was able to recommend their most applicable wines for the warm weather. Definitley coming back!

Family vineyard focused on old world wine. The rose was fantastic ($20/bottle ) and the reds were all great. The tasting room doesn t have the views that many of the others in the area do but our host was awesome which totally made up for that.

If you're a fan of chateauneuf du pape, you're in for a real treat. Their pinots are wonderful and offer a more complex, fulfilling flavor on the palate than other pinots out there. The tasting room is spacious and has plenty of space for groups and smaller parties. We walked in without having to make a reservation. It's dog friendly on the inside and outside as well. Lots of outdoor seating too!

Upon a recent vacation to Paso Robles, my friends and I happened upon this gem of a winery. From the start, it was obvious the staff knew a vast amount about flavor profiles and the complexities of aptly growing grapes of a wide variety of origins. The wines themselves were outstanding, each blended wine was subtle, smooth, and paired well with a variety of foods we brought in. Notably, our semelier, Amanda Weaver, was knowledgeable, helpful, and incredibly considerate. I'd highly recommend this winery to anyone visiting the Paso Robles area.

Had a great time tasting and learning about their wines. All the staff that helped us where friendly and knowledgeable. Picked up some great wine to take home too. Their tasting and outdoor seating is awesome. Will be back on our next trip to Paso.

The server was very helpful and knowledgeable, but to me, all the wines except for their two whites were not in their prime. They need long aging and particularly generous aeration when opened, and since the reds were served relatively cold, I didn't think much of them. I'm no expert by any means, but have had amazing reds at other nearby Central Coast wineries. Perhaps this is a collector's type of wine...

The most important thing to me after the quality of the wine is the knowledge the staff has. The whole point of a tour is to learn something new. I was blown away by the knowledge of the woman who gave us the tour. She demonstrated how grafting was done, she showed us how they keep track of harvest, and she knew so much about the different varieties of grapes grown. I loved this experience and fell in love with the winery while I was here.

Wonderful white wines even for those that favor reds. Friendly and knowledgeable staff in a tasting room that has large windows where you can view the production process. This venue is a jewel.

Went on a brief tour of the vineyard and wish it would've went on a bit longer and a bit more in depth on their sustainable practices. Overall, beautiful winery and delicious organic wines!

I have been a member here for many years. Not only do they make great Rhone style wines, but they go out of their way to include you in their process by educating you on good, organic, sustainable wine making practices. Everyone in this winery is nice and approachable, and will go the extra mile to explain their wine making mission and they stick to that mission and simply make great wines.

These guys know what they are doing. They are trying to replicate Rhone region vines in Rhone region conditions. Great commitment to green practices. Super neat ideas and fabulous wine. Our pourer Jake offered a wealth of information -- one little gem at a time. We could have spent a whole day here...just buy a bottle after your tasting and sit at a table outside. I will be back.

I was disappointed that they served their reds chilled. Especially for the more subtle Rhone varietals, it think serving them cold did not allow a good appreciation of all the flavors in the wine and as a result I was not overly impressed.
The service was good though and our server was knowledgeable about the region as well as the Rhone region in France. I also like the fact that the tasting is comped when you buy a bottle of wine.

Fantastic Rhone wines along with always interesting and personalized service by the staff make Tablas Creek a stellar winery to visit. Add in the compelling story of their commitment and stewardship to their land and wine making processes and it's pretty hard to come up with any negatives. Proud to be a club member.

Excellent experience. The staff was very knowledgeable and the wines were spectacular. The new tasting room is huge, but it's a little less personal and cosy than it used to be. If you like rhones it's a must.

One of my new favorite vineyards/winery by far. The grounds and atmosphere makes you feel as if you were traveling in the South of France. Great wine and friendly and staff that were very informational and helpful. Must see when in Paso Robles.

We had a tour group of 22. Stopped here and did a tour and tasting. Then we had lunch on the grounds. The tour was wonderful. The tour guide was knowledgeable and answered all questions. The wine at the tasting was very good. We bought 4 bottles. After we had lunch on the grounds and it was beautiful. Thank you for the experience

Hands down, one of my favorite wineries. I had heard amazing things before experiencing the wine myself, and I have to say, it all matched the hype. They offer three tasting options (white, red, mix), seven options per tasting, and each for $20. My husband and I opted for the white and red tastings. If you are new to trying this winery, I encourage trying both as it will allow you to try not only a large amount, but also try styles in both white and red. During our tastings, my husband and I continuously commented about how each wine was our favorite, until eventually they all made our favorite list. It was an easy choice for us to become members, and because so many made our favorites list, we ended up taking home not only our fall shipment but a few extras :)
Additionally, the service was excellent. Our server was attentive, easy to talk with, able to articulate each wine with finesse and just made the overall tasting incredibly enjoyable.

The wine tasting was enjoyable. We were given an excellent history of the partnership between Tablas Creek and the Chateau Beaucastle winery in France. We decided to become wine club members and are enjoying every bottle!

Positively loved the wine! Every wine was very impressive. I was just about to sign up the wine club. However I was very surprised at how condescending the tasting room host was to my boyfriend and I on our anniversary weekend. Our host Tony kept asking us things like "Do you even know what a GSM is?" and " I don't know what your income is but, you are very young to be joining our wine club", plus several other unnecessary comments. Most people enjoy it when they are told they look young, but not when it precludes you from good customer service.
In my mind this is not the best way generate good press and revenue.

I have never felt like such a second class citizen in a tasting room before.
I am closer to 40 than 30, I run a prestigious wine club myself, I've spent over a decade working as a wine industry professional, and almost 2 decades as a chef and hospitality professional. So it begs the question, how old does one have to be in order to be "worthy" of Tablas Creek wines?

The wine was pretty good, as well as the person helping us with the tasting. The trouble started at checkout, they forgot to add the tip for our tasting representative, and cancelled the transaction. Apparently, they also ran my card a couple extra times. Eventually, 1 of the wrong charges was removed, but that left a total of three charges. Now I'm left with three charges for $97.88, 2 of the 3 were supposed to be removed. I spoke with the tasting room manager, and he insisted they would remove the two extra charges. I waited almost 2 weeks to write this review, I wanted to give them an opportunity to follow through and fix their mistake. $293.64 for 2 tastings, and a bottle of Tannat, not worth it.

A very nice winery with great staff. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, as well as the education of the Rhone varietals. Definitely worth stopping by if you are making the rounds in Paso Robles.

Nice tasting room.

Nice tasting room.
May have joined club if we hadn't already joined 4 this trip.

Tip: 1 Tasting fee waived for each bottle purchased. We always share a tasting so we can hit more wineries.

The wines are terrific and our pourer was very knowledgeable and accommodating until the very end when we received an aggressive and off putting hard sell to join their wine club, including the lowest level to buy any six a year and receive a 10% discount. So be prepared.

Our party of 13 had a nice tasting experience at Tablas Creek....

This attractive vineyard has a nice lobby/showroom with plenty of tasting stations throughout. There's plenty of wine gift accessories, glasses, apparel etc to explore and purchase in the main lobby. At the entrance, you can pick up a water canteen to use as your tour Tablas Creek. You place the canteen in a tub when you leave. We appreciated this even more so on a hot afternoon.

Our tasting consisted of:
2016 Counoise - My champion here and I ended up purchasing a couple of bottles. This is a great red blend.
2016 Tannat - Tannic and tasty
2016 Esprit Blanc - Their flagship white was fruity.
2018 Patelin Rose - Refreshing.

Our group ordered 8 bottles and were told that they would ground delivered (to Las Vegas) so there would be a delay to the warm weather. It's been 9+ days since our visit and we still haven't received our order. This is the only vineyard we came across that didn't express ship their Vino by air as we've received all our orders from them already. Something to keep in mind if you plan on shipping bottles home. Overall, we had a good experience and I wouldn't mind visiting again. Cheers!

Tablas Creek is pretty much Genesis for Paso Robles, and they do Rhone varietals and blends better than anyone in Paso, in my opinion. Perfect blend of California meets Rhone, Niel the wine maker has such a deft hand. Don't skip the white wines, either, they're mega. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable.

2012: we really enjoyed this place, and had some good wines. We would have become members, but at this time we don't have more room.

They were VERY informative about their wines. They primarily have whites, Rose, and some mild reds. They do not have any full body reds, which is their intent. Also, they sell their reds a little early (higher in tannin), but they do say this, and suggest storing the reds for a few years to reach their ideal time.

We were very impressed with their whites, though I like chardonnay with more oak myself.
