We had a wonderful weekend stay-cation this summer. The staff was all wonderful and very friendly. They had free valet parking and shuttles to take you everywhere on the premise. They have wonderful restaurants and amenities. The spa was amazing and they had so many pool along with a water village for guest to use. The water village had 2 large pools with waterfall/cascade features, hot tubs and a water slide. We had a sudden issue with our ac on our last night there and they were quick at responding to fix the issue. When it was discovered that they couldn't fix it that night since it was a roof unit issue, they moved us to an upgraded suite to allow us to comfortably enjoy our last night. Overall their customer service was deeply impressive and I've learned why Hiltons have such a wonderful reputation. Loved this place. Will definitely be coming back, and we live down the street from this place. That how you know it's good!
Only reason I did 3 star was due to the fact that on check out we pointed out a few things that were wrong in are room and the front desk women was extremely rude to my wife and even had the nerve to quote "are you looking for a disconnect or something " it was upsetting to say the least with my wife being with child to get treatment like this especially because we were not looking for any discounts we were just informing them over all everything was excellent at the resort
We visited a friend that was a guest. We went to "The Falls" for drinks, relaxing, and a little food for the kiddo. Pool was ok. Drinks and food were priced fairly but drink selection was just ok. My Old Fashioned was not an Old Fashioned. Frozen banana rum drink was good. Parking was ridiculously cramped and I don't understand how they fit everyone staying at the hotel in it. 3/5 rating but probably would stay there. Pool is much better at Squaw Peak if that's what you're looking for. We'd probably stay there though if we received a decent deal.
Great spot. A little crowded due to sprg brk. Different pointe of view was amazing.
The pools are really nice, but the rooms just aren't worth the price tag... The carpets and fixtures are old and in need of repair. The call box to get a ride down to the pool area was broken and they didn't seem to care about it...
The security there were a bit pushy, and acted like everyone in my party, wasn't a guest or doubted my credulity.
Beautiful course, great elevation changes and views.
I enjoyed it. Very pretty surroundings and friendly staff. A lot of pools to choose from and the suite floor plans are decent. Would recommend to anybody. Not sure about the summer months since I came in October
Very large resort. Built in the mountains with a magnificent view. 8 BEAUTIFUL pools. Free washer dryer.
Thanksgiving buffet was amazing, and staff was very attentive. Seated on the patio...had a great time and holiday!
Nice place! Didn't spend too much time on the resort, but would consider coming back with the family.
This resort was great however the room wasnt as clean as I thought it should have been for a resort. The carpet was filthy and the bathroom wasnt well cleansed and the sheets were white and dingy. Why use white sheets if you cant keep them clean and the room just didnt smell fresh. However the amenities of this resort and the beautiful scenery made it worth the price. Also they are very accommodating I needed some feminine products unexpectedly and they brought them right away. Parking however is horrible as the spaces are tight so if you have a larger vehicle it might be difficult.
Best hotel I have been to across the states! Absolutely beautiful!
We had a rocky start when staying. We paid for an expensive suite and got ground level cheap with roaches and wasnt clean at all. We told our travel agent and we were upgraded to a mountain suite with a private suite. We even had a microwave put in just for us. Anything we needed they were right on it. Beautiful views north mountain preserve Sonora dessert within walking distance and plenty of pools and activities. Oh and the spa is amazing and reasonably priced. Would reccomend and we will go back. We loved it so much we moved across the country and live close by. :)
Our favorite retreat, home away from home! Good to be amoungst family at a legacy property.
Old and dated with broken blinds in the windows. It is a maze and the parking is not convenient. Lack of exterior lighting does not make you feel safe.
One of our favorite places to stay. Love the water park, lazy river, the spa and the restaurants are amazing!
Different point of view is the best restaurant with the best views hand down. Date night girls night whatever you want different point of view can make it happen
The phone in the bathroom didn't work. They closed the cafe/bar by the falls pool early. The burgers and steak from the in room dining was great.
Work holiday party, the food was pretty good and the accommodations were very good also
Fix your hilltop pools! Dirty trashy in and around pools no towels broken equipment. Get it together. We honeymooned here and coming back some 8 years later you guys have a ton of maintenance to do!!!!!
Wonderful resort, family friendly, something for everyone, even THE GOLFERS!!
YES THERE IS AN 18 HOLE COURSE ON THE PROPERTY:)
THE STAFF & SERVICE IS AMAZING....
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VIEWS YOU CAN FIND ANYWHERE IN THE VALLEY AND ITS NORMALLY SO PEACEFUL AND SERENE ITS SUCH A GOOD PLACE TO LET GO OF ALL YOUR STRESS AND WORRIES
I hope you take this as constructive feedback. Check in was slow and there was no available check in parking. We had to drive around three times throughout the entire complex before we could find permanent parking. Just like us, several other guests complained of the loud noise in adjacent rooms and the marijuana smell throughout the complex to include the adult pools. I can only compare the experience as one of spring break. We were offered a late check out, but decided against enduring more dissatisfaction.
This is my first review ever, but I felt compelled to share such negative experience
Great resort! Awesome place to experience the Arizona desert!
Very nice resort. Enjoyed our stay, our room, pur meals, the adult pool, Temecula Spa and more. Expected a little better service and pampering, especially at poolside.
Everything was excellent. They have a very nice restaurant with a great breakfast bar.
We had a great time there, but it is not the most kid friendly area. The hotel is built right into the mountain and there are some very steep areas where it would be dangerous letting them explore. Plus take into consideration that there are no sidewalks and the streets are super tight. So it's not an optimal place for kids. For instance going from building 10 to 11, down to the Fun park, is seriously unsafe, especially with younger kids. It's very steep.
This is my work but other then that the hotels are nice && great food swimming pool has a water heaters inside so you can swim if its cold outside jacuzzi's are nice && relaxing
The remodeled room with be a fantastic view made this stay! It was clean, pools were great. You might have to walk a bit from the rooms up the hill, but it was worth it for the view. We never had problems with parking.
Played at the course. Great elevation change and well kept greens. Staff was friendly but they could use a lesson on how to properly clean clubs at the end of the round.
This property is built into the side of a cliff...which is the only cool part. Rooms and structures are dated and need repair. We got the privilege of paying for Resort fees in the middle of winter when we are not using any of the facilities. Then we get an additional fee for parking when we get home. There are many more nicer Hilton's to stay in. I was left feeling unsatisfied.
I stay here on my own for a week during a work trip every year as part of a visit to a multinational company. The rooms are generally ok but starting to get tired. The site is very large so get used to walking (they have a golf cart shuttle) for the bar and restaurant. These can be fun in the evening depending on who is in there. If staying for golf, recreationally, etc then is not the review for you as I have never stayed from a leisure perspective
All rooms are two room suites. Resort is older but kept nice. Great price for what you get.
Nice they have separate pools for families and adults only.
Nice rooms, great ambience. Courteous staff. Our room's ac stopped working. They shifted us to another room which was great. Only problem we faced was... there was no vegetarian food. As there was no microwave in the room we requested for one, which they provided and charged for. Overall great experience apart from food.
Beautiful grounds, the food was a bit disappointing this time around, the bed was fantastic, all in all the room was nice but it would have been better if there was a little attention to detail. The fire sprinkler cover was just kind of dangling there and the rooms are very pricey.
Its a great place to take family and have a good time. There are multiple pools to enjoy and even 21 and over pool. The employees are very friendly and happy to help with whatever you may need. And if your looking for a good place to eat I recommend Bobbyques which is just down the road
The rooms are nice and clean. The view is beautiful . The location was wonderful and close to lots of places.
The staff was awesome! But we had a lot of problems with the hotel itself. In our room, the tv and remotes were almost nonfunctioning, half the channels got no signal and the channels that were working were extremely pixilated and lagging. The room temperature never got below 74 which was too warm for us, and we really had a hard time sleeping. The water temperature had the opposite problem, as we could hardly get the water to get lukewarm, no matter how long we ran it. The mini fridge was dead, but the staff replaced it immediately after. He told us that the problems we were having were happening all throughout the hotel, so unfortunately there wasn t much to do.
Came here for business. Check in experience was aweful. Very impersonal and gruff young woman checked me in. I did mobile check in for expedience and let her know. She proceeded to check me in with the standard method. When I asked why my mobile check in did not go through she told me "your just a silver member". Ok. Haven't heard that before. No problem with other Hiltons. Ordered room service and again, the person taking the order seemed in a bad mood as well. Had to wait a while for a shuttle to take me to my room. Apartment complex feel and very spread out. Not good for business convention. Room is a large suite and nice. Bed is mediocre. Definitely not a good first impression for me.
Rooms were great, the pool was fun and stuff very friendly!
Good value for the money but needs a renovation, it's falling apart.
Go directly to pub's balcony area...it's the best city overlook with cozy, private nooks for 2 or 12!
This is the staycation spot I go to every year with my wife every year. If you look around, you can find a very nice room for very cheap (under 100). And the amenities are fantastic! Main pool area has a water slide, bar, volley ball and plenty of activities for the kids and there are still smaller pools scattered across the property so that if you want to go for a swim in quiet, you can!
Friends had to check out due to bugs in two different rooms
I came to visit friends in Phoenix and it was a great hotel. Spacious rooms. I ate at the restaurant and the food was amazing. Beautiful views. Plenty of different room options. I did not golf so I cannot comment on the golf course but there was plenty of activity on it. Amazing value for the price. I will definitely be staying again next time I come out.
They get three stars only because they did try to make one little thing right after I complained. This resort is terrible to get around, they have drivers who will drive you around but take forever to come when called (made me late to conference I was at). Do not bring a car, parking and driving around resort is terrible. Check in took a ridiculously long time, not enough staff. Check out was also understaffed and a long wait. Do not use the Hilton app as they do not actually pay attention to it. I requested an amenity to be in my room when I arrived and they called to hours after I arrived to see if I still wanted it. So much for it being in the room when I arrived as promised. Lots of hidden fees at this resort as well. Conference center was very basic and a/c was not working in parts. Uninformed staff all over the resort. The spa was a joke. Pointe in Tyme restaurant was nice, but ridiculously expensive. Rooms were large but outdated.
Staff was incredible. Had a pool right outside our room. Views were amazing. Spa services were a bit pricey. One of our favorite experiences was the bar staff at Point in Tyme. Josh was the absolute best.
Classy resort! Great patio bar to over look valley of the sun!
The resort overall very nice, the pools superb, the staff very kind. The only flaw cleaning, hair on the floor in the bathroom and a cockroach in the room .. We were very upset even though they immediately changed room.
Lights went out. Very poor cell phone reception. No off campus ride.
Pretty amazing resort! Immense number of pools and hot tubs to choose from. Amazingly caring staff. The sprawling resort is nestled in desert mountains with trail access! Hike and explore the beautiful landscape with an array cacti and gorgeous views. Protip: go close to sunset, climb to a high point, watch the twinkling city lights and catch a glimpse of the sunset. Worth it.
So much fun, great time with family. They will pick u up from you room & take you anywhere on the grounds that you want to go! Plus you can park by the front registration area & get a ride to your room! They are great.
Great amenities and very scenic location. Good restaurants available at the resort. Pretty sunsets.
We went for a weekend staycation and we had a great time. We spent a lot of time at the main pool and had some food and drinks, all of which were excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Later in the evening we went to the presidential pool, which was very relaxing. The rooms were clean and the experience was very enjoyable.
It was a beautiful place. And housekeeping was so nice they set up my stuffed animals all nice
Nice rooms with beautiful views! Seven pools which includes one with an incredibly fun water slide. The kids and parents love it! Great hotel for the whole family.
We had a very nice room, Scenic walking all around the complex multiple pools and helpful staff
My stay with my family was July 3rd 2017 until July 5th 2017, it's a beautiful place and staff was VERY EXCEPTIONAL!!! Only reason I rate it a 3 star. When I first arrived at 3pm check in the coffee area in the room was not all there and mosquitos were in Our room We got bite a few times not to mention the bathroom lights blew a fuze it just popped at 9:30am july 4th. Also the fridge was leaking when we got to the room so we had to ask for anothet the second wasn't cool and the third one was a completely DIFFERENT one all black. Then I we had a room poolside by 1161 room area and a child of another guess on the hotel grounds in the Pool!!!! I DON'T think I'll be back but of luck to whomever stay gor the future!!
Good venue for large meetings and conferences. The property is beautiful and the restaurant, Different Pointe of View, is an Arizona must for dinner at sunset.
Very beautuful ballroom, but during breakfast another attendee asked for a vegataian friendly meal amd they brought her out tofu with nothing else and very smugly said there you go that is our vegan option. She was notably very upset, all she really wanted them to do was to take the bacon away. I found it very unproffesional.
Beware of Bedbugs!
We won't be staying here again. Four of our kids got very itchy bites close together all over their legs while playing games on the floor in one of our suites. These bites occurred at different times over a three day period while staying in one of the floor level queen suites, but always when a child was sitting on the ground in the front room of our suite.
We had other kids and adults staying in the same room, but only the kids that laid or sat in this specific spot got bit.
When we switched to a different room in the same hotel, the bites stopped, even though we were using the same amenities. Nobody else in our party got a single bug bute, even though we stayed in the same attached rooms and were always together.
I've spoken with Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs staff many times about this issue and they remain unconcerned. They looked and found no sign of bugs.
Different point of view had a great atmosphere, gorgeous views, and kind staff. Will be going again!
Great room, but did not honor the 99.00 I was quoted. Room service dropped the ball with our order but breakfast was on point. Will NOT stay here again.
My family recently stayed 5 nights. I was pleased with the exterior of the resort and the pools were amazing. The cleaning staff was great. I was not impressed with the room. The fold out bed was very cheap, and uncomfortable. The bathtub drain was clogged when first used and I needed to keep reminding the staff to help clear the drain before the front desk finally sent someone. Also...watch for the hidden resort fees that are required to be paid, but we not disclosed by a 3rd party online booking company. Imagine my surprise when the resort said they needed to charge me an additional $$$ ontop of what I paid for the room. Overall, a decent resort, but would not be my first choice.
Great resort! We loved the pools & suites for our spring training break!
The rooms are spacious, well kept, and the beds are comfortable. There are several pools around the grounds to enjoy, as well. Staff is polite, friendly, and helpful. I stayed for a school event, and the conference rooms were very nice. Overall a great place to stay, though on the upper end budget wise.
They have EV chargers for electric and plug in hybrid cars
GREAT place for family vacations. Something for everyone
