Expensive and bland tasting food really, bad service as it took so long to get the chance to order and then sooo long for the food to be served so yeah... I wouldn't recommend it

We arrived on a Sunday evening, some of the best in the menu was lacking, service was a bit slow, prices were high

Grandson enjoyed burger, but not much good if you are gluten free. Nicely presented and served, friendly helpful staff and clean environment .

These staff serving today were amazing - they were attentive, polite and there was a quick service. I am an advocate for great customer service as this weekend! The cake was also very moist - well done on all of this as I rarely state this. The staff may have accents as they are not English born but they speak very well and I understood what they were saying completely & vice versa as there was a comment below that stated otherwise.

Bad experience, unpolite waitress: there was a misunderstanding in what I ordered and she didn t do anything to help or find a solution, she just left the wrong order in our table and went away.

Replaced moldy fruit on top of cakes with new ones, everything done to save money, disgusting place...

Conveniently located in centre of town, the menu is wide ranging and caters well for veggies & vegans. However the veggie portion sizes are quite small, especially when compared with the chicken dish my partner had. I also think the food is quite salty, I had a raging thirst afterwards. There are some great cakes and you get a decent sized slice. Service is a little slow, especially when getting the bill.

Nice quiet place to have lunch in the center, good food and delicious desserts, efficient staff

It is necessary to explain something more after seeing the impressive aspect that the cakes have? As if that were not enough, sweets are equally appetizing. My recommendation is that if you are on a diet, avoid passing the store. Change your steel if necessary but you will not be able to pass in front of the premises without being unchanged.

Very good lamb shank, overall nice atmosphere and good staff.

Unfortunately it is appropriate to say the appearance is deceiving. We entered because enticed by the stratospheric showcase where very inviting cakes and desserts were shown. The tasted cakes were not very welcome.

Incredibly slow service. It took 45 min until we got the food and their mushroom risotto was tasteless. The waitress was rude and got irritated when we kindly asked if it would be long until we got the food. Avoid this place

It is a place to drink tea in London with good sweets and sandwiches and it is not so expensive.

Looked a really nice restaurant, but had a nightmare trying to get served with my drink! 9 of us in the group and all other 8 were served with meal and drinks that we had ordered. I was not eating so asked for my drink to come straight away. 25 minutes AFTER all the meals were served and after asking 4 times for my decaf cappuccino it finally arrive. Appalling service and drastic customer care training needed! Never again! Advice.... BEWARE.

Really nice afternoon tea. Staff we very friendly. However, they didn't have any soya milk when asked. Would definitely go again.

Loved the old world splendor of this caffe. There was a good choice on the breakfast menu and we weren't disappointed when we left. It was only slightly more expensive than any one of the national chains.

Very good food, i really enjoyed the afternoon tea.
However it's very noisy

The ambiance and the furnishings actually a nice coffee. We were here for a small snack and unfortunately were disappointed. The staff is very friendly, but the food is not good and expensive. The Caprese salad consists of ice-cold and tasteless tomatoes, too little oil and salt, no basil. The bruschette are also not very good, carelessly arranged, garlic is missing completely. Only the mozzarella sticks were reasonably tasty. The closer you are to the door, the more uncomfortable you are because each time a splash of cold air comes in when guests come or go. There is another deduction for the toilet, this was very dirty, there is no urinal and only a men's room. Not recommended.

Terrible service, had to wait half an hour for drinks, and then an extra five minutes for a bottle of water they had just 'forgotten' to bring us? Really expensive, cups were dirty, the only thing going for it is the decor which is actually quite nice. Wish I had gone to cafe nero down the road.

We went there on Sunday. We where looking forward to have a coffee and a cake. The service was awful. The price for the cake was different on the menu, very different! We said okay, probably that is the take away price what we saw. Nothing special, just the prices where. If that wasn't enough, they charged us 12.5% more, for service! Honestly I will never ever go back to this place.
We really had a bad experience there.

I went there with a friend because I had a coupon for an afternoon tea for two. When we arrived, they said it was already redeemed, but of course it wasn't. I stayed and I ordered an afternoon tea+prosecco. the prosecco never came, but they still charged it. When I asked for a refund for the prosecco, the manager asked me and my friend to drink it just before leaving the restaurant. We were already full, so we took just a sip. Such an unpleasant experience. I put two stars just because the food was very good and fresh.

Great food but sometimes the staff is slow, me and my family waited a lot just to be noticed, and when they finally were bringing our order, the waitress got distracted and kept us waiting more.
But the food is absolutely great and even though they are a little slow they are nice

Had afternoon Tea, extremely poor service, slow and unorganised, would not recommend.

Literally a restaurant for tourists. The atmosphere is great, food and coffee are pretty alright and customer service is bearable. However, if you want to order something, it s the best to ask the staff about the portion first. What the pictures on the menu show are just the pictures. I had waffle and a cup of coffee. The waffle was delicious no doubt but only one piece of it which was nothing like the picture on the menu. In the picture, there are two waffles and some berries. I asked the staff and the answer I received was the picture is the picture. Well, I feel deceived to be honest.

Absolutely worst afternoon tea I ever had. When we arrived, there was no reservation even though I booked a table and called one more time just before to check if the reservation is still there for us. The management took my phone to scan the voucher for afternoon tea and just left it somewhere, when I came after half an hour where is my phone no one didn't know where is it. There was absolutely no organisation whatsoever, no one didn't know who is taking care of what table, who is doing what. As a former waitress this was absolutely psycho to watch this mess! The manager or supervisor just came to us very quickly ask what tea do we want without telling us afternoon tea is on its way. When they brought it I was shocked, two tiny sandwiches and tiny cakes, not even nice ones! Absolutely waste of time and money. It was my birthday on that day btw and I was just really upset about the whole experience so won't come back.

Incredible breakfast. Great, calm atmosphere and decor. Bit pricy but absolutely worth it.

A great confectionery paradise for the greedy and not sweet. Ideal to take a cappuccino or one of its original juices calmly.
Very advisable to try your coffee made a lemon tart with meringue of the best I've tasted

Cozy and quiet ... we tried a vanilla latte coffee, fruit tea and macaroons to accompany ... the very friendly and cordial staff !!! To warm up on a winter night in London is not bad at all !!! (We have asked for a little more milk and he has kindly given it to us). Sure we would go back ...

Nice place. Friendly treatment. Great coffee. Super recommended sweets ... Strawberry cake, chocolate mouse and profiteroles. We do not give the five stars because it is expensive. We repeat without a doubt ...

This place is a posh version of Caffe Nero.
Interior is a sort of "Belle Epoque" modern.
Food is quite fine.
Prices high.
They will not accept customers asking for a coffe or a tea only.

Awful experience. The staff lack basic manners and training in hospitality. They did not take our name and contact details either as per the current laws. The waitress tried to seat us almost next to someone else without any shielding between us and we refused to sit down there and the other party seemed quite distressed as well. In the end the waitress literally threw the payment receipt on our table and left without saying anything (and we were charged the 12.5% for such awful service). The guy named Mohamed who called himself the manager of the branch needed some basic hospitality training himself. Upon complain his reaction was nothing special and provided us with a cold apology.

The cakes don't taste good. It's a case of them just looking good but tasting horrible.

What a lovely place and exquisite food. All the dishes we enjoyed were beyond delicious. What else can I say? Ah the service was excellent.

The customer service was great! Table of 6, They were efficient and billed us separately saving us time and effort to work out who owes how much at the end! Ambience was good too and food was good.

Decided to treat my nieces from Ireland to afternoon tea, wish I hadn t.( should have booked The Savoy Hotel, who know how to serve afternoon tea)
Very average, tea bags Taylor s Tea, used ,awful( M&S tea would have been better )( at least use loose leaf tea) no check back, no offer of refills for either tea or water.

The male staff were more interested in chatting up the women who came in. Other customers were ignored.

Definitely will not be back and will not recommend.

Regrettable, the service and the food. The price I do not argue is expensive but it pays whoever wants. The sweets were old and softened the sandwiches were strongly peppered.

Pastry good, service not so good. Not when you're being service charged and you cant get a glass of water or the check.

Very nice place ideally placed but the staff is not up to the place and the ambitions displayed. Everything started well: the tea and the dishes (a little expensive) are good, well presented and plentiful, but the staff seem lost and very quickly overwhelmed passing between the tables in a disorderly or even hysterical way giving the impression of being lost. It took more than 25 minutes and 5 waiters (no matter the grade by the way, recognizable by their different uniforms) to get a simple glass of water. No need to tell you about the bill, we ended up getting up and standing in line at the cash register like many other customers. There is a real lack of organization. Disappointing!

Take rest at this cafe during sightseeing. You become relax and happy! Toilet is under floor!

I don't know why I always full for this, what can you expect from a chain that will only serve a customer once...

My son cake (first to order) arrived only when we reminded someone, we weren't served water or asked, any establishment in this price zone should offer.
The toilets were Disgusting with a capital D and my father whom were teaching hotelling told me once to always check the toilet as it will be as clean as the kitchen and boy was he right, it's really not worth going into.
Guys ! Do better, only then charge so much

Rude and obnoxious waiter! He allowed himself to make fun of us thinking that we did not understand English. Speak to the waiters only in English, above all do not let any word escape you, not even a little "yes" you will risk offending their oversized ego. I could not give you my opinion on their cakes since I did not stay there very long. I personally prefer friendliness and professionalism.

I went at 20th October 2018 and knew this place before.I went in and out looking for a place to eat coffee and dessert and saw this place.Atmosphere and the decor is very nice nice greeted presentation also very nice but some employees were very rude but did not leave fully happy. Thank you Carmen EMILIA most interested in working but the employees were rude.

I m went to again this place Sunday night.I liked food and atmosphere,staff but I dont like toilets(toilet) because this place I think level up place but toilet is disgusting.Because here is big store nice atmosphere but just has small,just one,skintight finally toilet and kitchen same area face to face.I don t like it this situation.

Shame there is no negative rating available. The worst costumer service I have ever received. Waiter did not understand our order. Then it took over 30 mins for a few slices of cake and cups of tea to arrive (after constant pestering from me). Not to mention he forgotten an item. The cakes that did come tasted horrid, the scones resembled white bread, there was a smear of clotted cream that was barely enough for 1 scone. The unfortunate family next to us waited for even longer for their main courses and one of which was massively delayed, by the time it came everyone else had already finished their food.

I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Well and truly awful.

During my visiting London, I wanted to enjoy the afternoon tea time, yesterday. But they spoiled my perfect trip in London. I could get the menu presentation after saying excuse me three times. They seemed to be so unkind and bored to work.
They served some sandwiches marinaded a loaf of wasabi, much much more than what most asian like me eat on sushi. I could not help tear.
I hope the ceff to eat the sandwiches. In addition, all things they served were made with mashine. I never tasted fresh desserts. Even scones are cold not warm.
It's lucky for me to leave this review. Even this review is good for them.

Had once my breakfast for takeaway there. Received excellent customer service, quick breakfast, absolutely delicious food. not sure about the rest, but breakfast are super good.

Very Poor customer service. Typical of Cafe concerto. Twice been in same branch and had exact same problem.

Waited for 20 min and no one was care to take order. Try to call Staff, no one was looking at all. Only 3 customers in shop and no staff was interested in service.

The waitress returned us at 22:25 and said she was closing in 5 minutes. She was very uncomfortable, and besides our insisting on eating a cake, she told her to take it

Friendly staff and environment. Clean & fast service .I really like to go and seat there to talk and work while I drink my latte and snacks.

Very unimpressed. All show and not much go. I believe that there are 2 of these places on the same street. We went to the one on the right. First and last time we'll be going there.

It was lovely being here. We had vegetarian breakfast, waffles, latte, juice, and mille feuille. (2019)

I bought a raspberry tart yesterday night at W1J 0LF and refrigerated it for 1 night, when I opened it this morning, I found the raspberries on it were all mildewed, I can't figure out why except the reason that the raspberries were really stale and bad....really worried about the food quality of caffe concerto...
The cake and raspberries looked really fancy on the shelf however they are not as a matter of fact.
