I had an interlock device installed at another Smart Start Center in Gilbert. I noticed a problem right after I got it installed with starting my car. I went back to the installer and they refused to look at the problem.

I called KarTunes in Tempe for a second opinion and spoke with Jason. He asked me to bring my car in to see if something was not done properly. When I dropped by today he had a technician look at the problem and was able to figure out why I was having trouble starting my car and we diagnosed the problem with out charging me. I received outstanding customer service and am going to take my car over to KarTunes to get my monthly interlock calibration. I am glad I decided to call KarTunes for a second opinion!

Sat and waited for help for 30 minutes while the entire staff ignored me until I walked out. Very poor attention to customers in the shop.... Wouldn't want to find out what leaving my car would be like. NO THANKS!

Ok, these guys know there stuff! Not only did they do a great job on the install of what I bought, but they listened to what I needed and wanted and did not try to up sell me at all. They finished ahead of the scheduled time and I was able to get my ride back even sooner. They took the time to go over everything and show me how to operate everything. I will be a customer for life. Highly recommended and will not go anywhere else for my needs.

I took my 2016 Accort to Kartunes to get speakers installed and a retint on my vehicle. and have been working the Ullysis. The speakers I had installed replaced the factory speakers that made a big difference whtich I am happy with. However the subwoofer that I have in my car was causing an awful ratthing noise in the rear deck plate that Kartunes had stated they could fix. However after 3 revisits to get the this issue resolved the rattling still remains. I also had the tint redone and was told they would remove all the old film, but that was not done and the new tint had air bubbles and debris under that tint that was very visible. After pointing out the imperfections they agreed to redo the tint, but wanted to charge me again. I was like no. After the second rettint and again all windows would be redone, only the back windows were done and the tint was still bad with visiible air bubbles on all windows. I feel that each time I return to get the issues resolved I am becoming a burden. With the bad tint the owner only refunded me $150 of the $225 even though I was told the tint was bad. I spent a little over 1200 for services but am not fully satisfied with the current situation .

Took my car today (6/20/17) after getting over my anger and frustration.. I talked with the installer Ulyssis and told him since the rattling issue still exist unwanted my $$ back for the back deck ... he talked to the owner and they fixed the issue . Thanks for taking care the issue and providing good customer service.. although it took 4 times to get it fixed I'm satisfied with the sound quality..

One of the back speakers of my sedan blew out, so I came here. I called and visited to get a quote, then scheduled the actual appointment about two weeks later. I told the guy "the cheapest" option, same as I had said on the phone. The repair was relatively quick (about an hour) and the staff was nice, but what bothered me is that the price they gave me in person was about $40 more expensive than what I was told over the phone and in person 2 weeks prior. I mentioned this and it was fixed. Based on that experience, don't trust these guys' prices. They will overcharge if they can. Treat them like a scammy car dealership because that's clearly what they want to be. It's actually funny and now fitting that my dealership actually recommended them to me. I'm just waiting for something to go wrong with my sound system suddenly, because I now don't trust these guys for more than just the price.

They are the best. They hook you system up the rigbt way no short cuts. All wires are tucked away and sound is always crystal clear. They are very helpful if you are unsure of what you are looking for. And they dont try to break the bank. They will suggest entry level if they know that it will work for your situation. Always good experience with these guys. I dont take my car anywhere else now!

Highly recommend this fantastic company. Very easy to work with, reasonably priced, extremely knowledgeable and most importantly honest. We had remote start installed in our Tundra and all 3 vehicles also got dashcams. Kartunes was very professional, easy to do business with and had very reasonable pricing. They were on time and also knowlegable. I highly recommend kartunes and James..

Whoever came to install this pastime device on my vehicle is a complete hack. They wired the pass time into my factory alarm so every time I armed the alarm the pass time would drain battery. It took 3 months for someone who works for passtime to come out and fix the problem and possibly might have to take the vehicle to a mechanic to replace the ECU and wiring harness all because a hack for this company.

Jeff and James are true professionals they've been in business since 1987. Installing quality stereos and alarms at the highest level of quality. Thank you for everything may you have another 33 years.

I had a remote start installed and they are awesome. They actually spend the time and get things done right the customer service is beyond what I expected. I would definitely recommend them for any of your vehicle needs I will be having them do a lot more stuff in the future.

I hear about Kartunes from the internet and wanted to give them a try. I dropped by yesterday just to see if they could fix my auxiliary port in my car. It has had a short in it for a long time and quit working. I stopped in yesterday and they said they could fix it. I didn't expect them to fix it that day! The guy pulled it in the garage fixed it and had me back on the road within 20 minutes. It was amazing! Not only do they have great service, but also great pieces! My dealership was going to charge me $300+ to fix it and Kartunes did it for $80. You can't beat that!

The People that work here are genuinely nice and are very knowledgeable. The operations manager Jason Trottier is very humble and honest. They do good work very professional at times. These guys Go out of their way to make sure you re satisfied before leaving. Ask as many questions as you need to and they will answer them because there s no dumb question.

Kartunes just installed a new blind spot detector/warning system and a rear cross traffic warning system in my Lexus RX-350. The equipment works great, and appears factory installed.. Jeff, Ulysses, the Installer and Kristina provided friendly and knowledgeable service. I recommend them highly.

Jeff and the crew at KarTunes installed a Kenwood car play deck in my 2011 Yukon. I asked that they use an existing USB connector in the cigarette lighter socket, but when it turned out to work inconsistently, they diagnosed the problem, and spent over an hour routing a new line to my iPhone and correcting the issue...at no charge to me. I'm a big fan and a very satisfied customer. These guys know their business. I highly recommend them.

If it was possible to give 0 stars I would. A year ago I was up sold on an after market xm radio. I paid $500 for it. Since then it has now gone out 3 times. The last time they replaced it their tech broke all the plastic pieces to my dash board and center console. I had to have Toyota fix it. Their customer service is horrible. When their tech broke my plastics they wouldn't come to my work to replace or fix it since they said it wasn't their product. All they keep telling me it was under warranty so I don't have to worry about it. Well that's fine now but what happens when my warranty expires? I have to pay out of pocket again every 4 months to have my radio fixed? I have to pay for the dealership parts out of pocket to replace plastic your company broke? I had a $100 xm radio in my last car from audio express and worked perfectly fine for 5 years. Not one issue. Save your money and go to audio express, cheaper, faster, and better quality as far as I'm concerned. Plus better customer experience since audio express stops what they are doing to at least acknowledge your there. I stood in the office at Kar Tunes for over 20 minutes and had workers even look me in the eye and never come in to service me. I had to walk out into their garage to have someone finally help me. Absolutely ridiculous!!!!

Upgraded my audio system, JL Audio Sub & Kenwood touchscreen w/DVD&CarPlay&AndriodCar. A month later I came back and added Compustar T11 remote start to same truck!!! I m ready for Arizona heat and cruise around with great sound!!! Thank you James!!!!

Just took my Subaru in for radio repair. Was quoted $2400 at dealership. Was fixed at Kartunes for less than $100. They are professional, friendly and most of all trustworthy! Highly recommend this business for your stereo needs.

I have been doing business with these guys for over 15 years. Kartunes is very fair on pricing and they have always been honest, available and the service, staff and facility is as professional as it gets. If ever myself or friends I have referred have ever had any issues or problems they have immediately set time aside to make the situation right. In my early 20's Jeff had worked on show truck I had that had won many awards for both custom stereo as well as best in show for looks. now that I am older I simply have an remote start alarm system, some nice speakers and a nice Kenwood deck that I am extremely happy with.These guys are experts and know their stuff from very basic to very elaborate. I would not go anywhere else or refer my friends and family to anyone else.

Thank you Kartunes for doing a great job on my 2016 Mercedes. I had a quote from the dealer for $1500.00. Kartunes did the same job for $950.00. After I found out that Kartunes does most of the Mercedes dealers in town anyway. So I just saved $550.00.( 6 stars from me :0 )

Took our shattered screen to them initially the guy gave us a quote and said if it cost more well let you know. We go in they have the stereo ready to install the technician installs we go to check out and it costs more then what the price was initially so we tell the girl up front and she says "well just eat that money" okay miss attitude dont quote me and then try to charge me more you guys told me a set price thats what I expect. We well not be returning we don't like feeling low. We also don't like being lied too!! Take your attitude somewhere else. Also doing business at 1st was sketchy they don't give you no paper when you leave they just send you on your way hoping you get the correct part back that belongs to you.

This place is awesome, they only carry the best of the best when it comes to car audio.

I was recommended to Kartunes through my automotive repair shop. They installed a new radio for me and fixed an issue with my car alarm. They provided great service and even fixed the auxiliary power socket that had pushed back into the dash without me mentioning it. Thank you for your fantastic service! I highly recommend these guys.

I haven't yet had them install anything, but I did talk to them about what I wanted (PA System for my truck). They took the time to show me several options and they offered their advice. Great people, I'll be using them and will post another review when the installation is done.

I got a remote starter for my Tundra back in June. James was very professional and new what he was doing. After a couple days the remote stopped working. I called James and he walked me through some steps to fix it. That didn't work. We were leaving in a couple days and I was worried that we wouldn't get the remote fixed. James was able to come out the day before we left and fixed it. Since then Kartunes has always been there when we had questions. I do plan on using them in the near future for some tint and maybe the dash cam.

Over the years we have had Kartunes work on several of our vehicles. They ve installed backup cameras, stereo systems and remote starts. Everything has always been top notch and excellent customer service. I would highly recommend Jeff and his team, they go above and beyond to make sure you are a satisfied customer!

They also install SmartStart interlocks and have always given me great service.

Got a car stereo upgrade on my new 20 camry (amp, speakers and sub woofer). Cost quote (by tech Ulisses Bahena) was reasonable, accurate and done as promised on time (very clean install). I've been taking my cars to Jeff and the Kartunes guys since 2010. They are currently working on the eighth car that I've brought them. Getting them to do my audio system and accessory installs is literally the first thing that I do after getting a new vehicle.

These guys stand by their work and don't quit until you get the sound that YOU want.

Trust me, NO stock system is as good as what the aftermarket can do for your mobile audio (I'm talking to you Burmester, etc etc). You can get much better sound at reasonable prices just by talking to these guys.

Excellent service, straightforward and no bs. Wanted a couple of 6x9s fit my front doors in my Prius, there are only a few speakers that fit that application. 2 other places (national chain stores) did not have anything that fit and told me to put a different size in, one was downright rude about it. These guys knew exactly what fit and had it in stock. Yet again proving that independent shops are better than national chain stores.
