Nice shop. Large enough to carry a good selection of quality gear. Small enough to provide personal, attentive service.

My go-to for bikes & repairs for 20 years. Personal, helpful, great wrench work at the service desk. Thanks!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. . The shop is displayed nicely and the prices were fair. They did great job upgrading the fork and the rear shock in my Fuel EX 9.7. Totally recommend this place.
Clean and organized store with a friendly and knowledgeable staff.
The people of Pasadena Cyclery are very knowledgable, patient, and customer oriented. The bike mechanics there are extremely thorough, service-oriented, and take their time diagnosing and repairing any "ailment" your bike may be suffering from. Mike P. saw to it that my old 2007 Specialized FSR Comp Pro was finely tuned and ready to hit whatever I threw at it. Definitely going to buy my next road bike there, to which their prices are very competitive to other shops in the area. Glad I've found a new "home" for bike servicing.
Great service here, and very knowledgeable. It's been my bike shop since 2001.
Service is exceptional, both in personal attention to the customer and knowledge of products sold.
Took my bike here to get serviced. really understanding since i know nothing about what the problem was. They found it and fixed it and turned my gibberish into english. Great store.
I've been very happy with customer service at Pasadena Cyclery. Honest & helpful every time I go there. A great family style business. I got a "Bike Fit" there last year and it made a massive difference for comfort on long rides. Mechanic advise and service has been solid too. Long live the local bike shop! Thanks!
The service staff are friendly and honest, and the shop welcomes all kinds of cyclists!
Very attentive and helpful staff. They have a good selection of gear and supplies.
Friendly, knowledgeable, and with competitive pricing. Family business that is worth supporting...!
I had never used Pasadena Cyclery before but I was in need of a Park tool for installing my bike s cassette onto my trainer that I recently purchased. The part I ordered had to be shipped from the warehouse even though it showed as in stock on the website. I sent an email inquiring about this and was given multiple options to get the item sooner. Upon going to the store, we realized that a separate cassette for my trainer was a better option and I was taught some how to s on getting my bike both on and off the trainer. These guys were great and went above and beyond to ensure I got everything I needed. Will definitely come back to support them in the future!!
Great staff, very knowledgeable and always helpful.
I took my Trek Fuel EX8 in for Red Shield service just before its fifth birthday. The shop guys, Rob in particular, did a fantastic job of assessing the wear and tear and basically replacing or rebuilding almost all the moving parts. The bike is quiet and smooth and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work and their communications with me on status. So I got full value and more on my Red Shield (and a pint glass). Five stars all the way.
The service is great. The techs really know their stuff and repairs are reasonable.
I brought my Trek Speed Concept to get a gearing issue fixed after taking it to two other shops and still having issues with riding up hills. Steven at Pasadena Cyclery kept my bike a few days past what we'd agreed on, but only because the bike still wasn't shifting properly after the work they'd completed. It turned out to be a cabling issue that took them a lot of time and effort to fix, but they stayed within the estimate and now the shifting is crisp, clean and hills are not a problem any longer. Top notch.
Good overall experience. The service shop guys are very informative. I have had 3 of my bikes serviced (mtn, road & cyclocross) all left Pasadena Cyclery better :-)
Brought my well-loved Titus in and they took excellent care of it. Suggested things I should get done at the same time as the repair I brought it in for, and then things I should think about but could wait on. Honest and thorough. I'll be back.
Great neighborhood bike shop with friendly staff. They ll work on any bike you bring in- no bike snobs here! But if you need something high-end, or custom, or even a personalized fitting session, they re great for that too. This shop stood with me all the way from fixing my cheap online purchased starter bike & re-learning to ride again, to eventually fitting me for a custom carbon fiber touring bike to get me from Los Angeles to Boston.
Friendly staff and great deals Highly recommended.
Love this place! They are so helpful and knowledgable!
Overall pleased with customer service. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable of their products. Their inventory was good as well. I would come back.
Called this place to ask about what manufacturers' bike they carry because of the good reviews and we want to buy some bikes.
This is how the 10 second conversation went:
----
Me: Hi, uhm do you guys carry Raleigh bikes because I saw it being mentioned somewhere on your website?
Guy: No, we no longer carry Raleigh products.
Me: Oh... ok. Well do you carry other manufactu..... *click*
Hung up on me.
----
Haven't even gone into the store and already made us decide that we never will.
The service dept gets things done as promised. The wrenchs know what they are doing. The staff in General the staffs friendly and welcome everyone. I keep going back.
This is a friendly and very helpful bike shop we are fortunate to have in the Pasadena CA area. The staff is most knowledgeable on all the bikes they carry and have been a valuable source of information for the safe operation, adjustment and maintenance of my bikes. I've purchased 5 bikes from them over the years, upgrading as my proficiency and fitness has improved. The only minor complaint is that because they are so popular in the area it sometimes takes an appointment to have your bicycle serviced in a reasonable time.
Was completely ignored. 3 employees talking among themselves. I will never return.
I was impressed with Marcus' knowledge of parts, materials, and engineering, Steeve's customer service skills with myself and other customers, and Daniel's guidance to help me decide what I need for my bike. Over all, it was a satisfying visit, and I think those 3 make a great team.
I love the service and the fact that team members know me by name. This makes me feel like part of a community and reaffirms my support for small businesses. Even though I have a bike shop 5 minutes away from my location, I am willing to make the drive to Pasadena Cyclery to enjoy their service.
I absolutely appreciate being able to purchase what I need and get great service from this local bike shop. I feel this is particularly important as we lose so many small business to online shopping and, when it comes to bikes, I prefer the benefit of previewing what I'm buying and asking questions. They're super knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Love that they have a program to trade-up kids' bikes, too.
Couldn't be more pleased. Neglected my bike this rainy season and no one scoffed at me. They just did all they could to get me back on the road.
They were knowledgable, patient, and gave me good information. Out of six bike shops they were the only ones that gave me an option to try out a bike. I'm grateful for their outstanding service. I wish I could rate more than just five stars.
Good guys that help you out quickly with all bicycling needs. Turnaround time is great and the crew is friendly. Highly recommend.
Warm, friendly personal service. I got my bike back same day even though I was prepared to wait a couple of weeks. The technician really seemed to care and found ways to make my bike safe while saving me money. Highly recommended!
Mike is awesome- he helped me with a simple problem with no attitude ! very cool shop, highly recommend !
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Will return for regular tuning.
Friendly, competent, and knowledgeable staff. The service is clean and fast, smaller issues can be fixed without leaving bike there. They have a good selection of bikes and accessories.
I recently brought my Canyon road bike in for brake bleed and tuneup. A few weeks later the gears needed a slight adjustment and they were able to turn this around right away. I wouldn't hesitate to bring one of my bikes back to this shop and knowing that it's family run is even better.
Rented road bikes to ride the GMR and the hills around Pasadena. Staff is friendly and accommodating, bikes are in great shape.
Pick up my bike for brake service. Got home realized they adjusted seat too high and did not return to original height. The lever to adjust seat is missing. I just hired a transportation to pick up. Now I cannot use bike seat too high. Person who worked on my bike I think broke the lever to adjust seat. I have to hire transportation just to return bike.
I called them however no solution.
Marcus was very professional and knowledgable in the service dept. and was able to explain and find a solution for my mechanical issue very quickly.
Outstanding! I showed up at 1 pm this past Sunday. Everyone was wearing masks, you could not walk into the store without first sanitizing your hands and the store had a limit to how many people were allowed in. All great things during these times. Ray immediately introduced me to the Trek Checkpoint AL3 and it is quite possibly the best bike I have ever been on. By 3:30, I picked it up with lights, clip in pedals, shoes, helmet, water bottle mounts, padded pants and I was ready to go. At 5:30, I was on my first ride on the street and then off the path for a solid two hour ride. Absolutely unreal. I did not expect to be on a bike until the next day. Ray and the people at PC are true professionals. Buy your bike from them!
The guys in pasadena cyclery are very helpful. They helped me find the parts that i needed and gave me suggestions. Especial mention to Marcus who assisted me and he knows a lot about bikes.
Dan was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Everything I needed was done quickly and I would highly recommend anyone in need of bike service (or sales) to visit Pasadena Cyclery and Dan.
Mike was super helpful even as I second-guessed my purchase. He talked me through options and did so without judgement (I don t know a thing about bikes). My bike shipped quickly from the warehouse and the entire staff was helpful when I picked it up. Thank you!
After a week of training with my company in downtown LA, I planned on doing some road biking over the weekend before finally going home again. Pasadena Cyclery provided me with a rental bike perfectly fitted with craftmanship to my needs and thus enabling two perfect day trips. The friendly team handled the whole rental process swiftly and efficiently and so I can recommend Pasadena Cyclery wholeheartedly to any other fellow cyclist. Thanks from Germany!
Pushy sales. Did not listen to customer. Sloppy bookkeeping.
I told them I would like to order a certain model of MTB, they flat-out told me that I did not want that type of bike. So I end up buying a more expensive bike than I really need. A few weeks after I picked up the bike, they are hitting me with messages; they forgot to charge me for services to put the bike together.
Friendly, knowledgable staff - great service department. Good selection of accessories.
Knowledgeable, honest, friendly, thorough, trustworthy, helpful, well-stocked, communicative = happy customer!
BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS BIKE SHOP FOR ALL BIKING NEEDS!
Too bad there's no zero-star option. I went into this shop and walked up to an employee, don't know his name but he was an overweight middle-aged guy wearing a shop shirt. I said "Hi, could you tell me where the tires are?" He stood there and looked at me for a few seconds, then turned his back and started talking to some other guy. I waited about half a minute but he just acted as if I wasn't there. So I went to Helen's Cycles in Arcadia and bought tires and several other items, over $200.00 worth of stuff.
This Team at Pasadena Cyclery is super friendly, extremely professional and they, flat out, know their stuff! I've purchased four bikes from Pasadena Cyclery thus far I will definitely be purchasing my next bike from them as well. Keep up the good work and the exceptional customer service.
The chain on my bike broke at an intersection and before I could get hit by a bus a guy tells me about this place less than a mile from the he scene of my small tragedy. Walked in and they fixed my bike quickly and it only cost about 13 bucks. Nice folks.
I brought in three bikes, each with different issues and a flat-tire from my road bike. An organized 5 persons at a time flow and clear measures for Covid safety were immediately visible. I explained the issues with each bike while the service team listened and offered a plan to get each bike roadworthy. Then while I waited, each bike was repaired and tuned. Each bike was methodically gone through. The whole process took less than an hour, an amazing feat for a Sunday. I was blown away. Perhaps the best bike-shop in So-Cal,.
Marcus provided excellent service. With his help I learned a great deal about my bike, and my problems were solved quickly and within the time promised - which was same day. I appreciate the great work and service you guys at Pasadena Cyclery provide and going forward I plan to suggest you to my friends for their bicycling needs. Thanks!
Very friendly staff and perfect service department.
I am doing my first triathlon and know very little about bicycles. Daniel helped me figure out exactly what I needed in terms of tires and accessories! I felt so much better after leaving the shop. He was absolutely incredible!
Bought our Townie Go Electric bike from Pasadena Cyclery during the pandemic. Easy and quick service. No pressure sales. Very helpful sales people. Would recommend this local bike shop!
Markus, your sales and front service rep., is very knowledgeable and skilled. He sells you what you do need and doesn t push what you don t need. He built my bike a year ago and I have been nothing but happy with the experiences and freedom it has given me. The bike is a perfect fit for me and I just keep growing into the bike as it challenges me to go farther and faster.
Very professional team, knew exactly what I needed and helped me put my bike back in shape.
Staff was really friendly, even from the phone call before me going into the store. Picked up my bike and everything was set up and organized in the store. Drive for me going there to get tune up, if not I would go there all the time.
Until recently, I hadn't owned a bicycle in over a decade. I came here to buy a bike for getting around my neighborhood while taking advantage of an employer fitness credit. I was amazed by the quality of the service here: they knew exactly what I was looking for even though I had difficulty articulating my needs, and they invested a lot of time and help in me despite my bike/gear being an order of magnitude less expensive than for what I presume is their target demographic. They even gave me directions for a bike-friendly route home past the interstate. Clearly I have no independent knowledge of bikes, but it inspired a lot of confidence to see so many obviously pro cyclists around the store getting advice on modifications/repairs/higher-end bicycles. Don't be intimidated to come here if you are just looking for an entry-level bike: they will give you great advice!
These guys did a great job fixing up my daily rider. Their recommendations were on point, service was fast, and the price was very good.
Great staff. During this time of COVID-19, they adhered to quantity of people in the store for social distancing. All staff were very knowledgeable and helpful in making my purchase decision for tires
I brought in a folding bike to have the inner tubes replaced and they did a very good job doing it. The job took over a day and they were very good about keeping me informed about the bikes progress until it was ready for pickup. To summarize the staff are all good at their jobs and the prices are good, so go to Pasadena Cyclery for all your bicycle related needs.
Great bike shop with excellent and knowledgeable service!
Great knowledgable staff, they offer slightly Used kids bikes as well as brand new kids bikes. They are open during the craziness right now too which is awesome!
Customer service when it comes to accessories in the shop is great. But when it came down to working on my bike. The first time on my ghost bike. It was good. When I brought in my schwinn mountain bike. It was having issues shifting and the chain was constantly getting caught. I asked the guy to fix it and he said it would be about $140. When I got my bike back.. it was running fine for another week and a half before it started having the same issue again. When I told them about it. They said it would cost another $140. I honestly just gave up on getting my bike repaired until a year later..
I was reccomended by someone to go to another local bike shop and the guy had said it was an extremely easy fix with the gears being slightly misaligned. $45 for the fix...
I honestly will never get my bikes here repaired again. When it comes to accessories sure.. but not when it comes to fixing my bikes. I practically gave away my money to them to do nothing. When a local bike mechanic fixed it for a 1/3 of the cost.
I visited Pasadena Cyclery looking for handle grips and had no idea how much help I would receive on a seemingly simple item. Not only did Michael P. guide me to a more heat- and sun-resistant grip than the one I'd selected, but he also taught me that I could adjust the grip shifter position on my wife's bike to give more grip area, and then cut the grip to the appropriate size. He even shared tricks he uses to more easily install the grips (twist ties! Who would've thought!).
My little shopping experience turned out far better and educational than I ever could have predicted.
I buy a lot of stuff online but this experience is why for something like this, nothing beats a trip to a place filled with bike gearheads like Pasadena Cyclery.
Friendly knowledgeable service at a very fair price. I just transitioned from Mtn to road bike and they tuned up a used road bike and put on some tires I brought in. I ll be back.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: The lovely people at Pasadena Cyclery only want to see more people riding bikes. That's all they want. I can't rate them highly enough.
Amazingly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Easy process on trying out bikes with a good selection and competitive prices. It's definitely worth heading down there if you're in the market for a new bike.
Great selection, crisp, clean store, friendly and knowledgeable expert staff can t recommend highly enough!
Great staff. Very friendly. I appreciated that they took the time to thoroughly review my build with me.
I was so glad I came here to purchase my bike! Really felt like I got the VIP treatment. They did an amazing job helping me order my bike and all the parts I needed. They put it all together and helped me make all the necessary adjustments and I was on my way to having a great ride! Definitely will be coming back here to make any future bicycle purchases. Everyone was very friendly, nice, and knowledgeable. They provided the best service! Thanks Pasadena Cyclery!
Nice people, Fair price, excellent time-frame for my repair
This is a family owned business and they know their business! I completely trust them to steer me in the right direction for my cycling needs. I was having a problem with my neck and the jarring ride sometimes associated with cycling. Pasadena Cyclery introduced me to a product to help reduce the bumps I feel when riding. They installed it perfectly for me in a timely manner and I love it. I had no idea that there were products out there to help me continue with my lifelong passion of cycling. The bicycle we refitted is one I purchased there in 2007. It is a high quality bike and still like new. The Pasadena Cyclery will take good care of you with expert HONEST advice and great products. I'm so glad that I've been a part of this business for years and will continue to be for years to come. Thank you Pasadena Cyclery!
Have been going here for 20 years, never have had any problems, friendly staff, good service, good prices. 5/5 for Pasadena Cyclery
My first time having Pasadena Cyclery do maintenance for me on my Giant Trance. Complete tear down, inspection, and replacement of parts that needed replacing Great value in the service provided. Bike rides great!!! Thanks.
I would give it 6 stars if I could. Prices are clearly posted and they do not waver with surcharges etc. . The entrepreneurs are helpful, courteous, skillful and honest
Friendly as always. Prompt service, even in a pandemic-induced rush of interest in biking.
The staff is very friendly and the store, while small, is easy to navigate, making it easy for me to find what I m looking for quickly.
The customer service is excellent. My husband and I bought both our bikes from Pasadena Cyclery, and were treated like family both times we were in the store. Daniel is awesome. I can't recommend him enough to anyone who is looking to purchase a new bike. He is patient, knowledgeable, and kind.
I was helped by Rich on 2 of our older bicycles with replacing some tires and working on brake alignments and basic tune ups. Rich was helpful and explained everything and got our bikes completed within 1 day, which was very fast considering the amount of customers they had in there that weekend.
I appreciate them getting our bikes back to working shape and also notice they sell a lot of nice new bikes as well. If I had to shop for one Pasadena Cyclery would be a recommendation.
Good amount of front and back parking as well makes it easy to get in and out.
Excellent customer service. I greatly appreciated that the sales rep I met with wasn't super pushy about getting me to buy a bunch of stuff or hovering over me while I was browsing. Additionally the sales reps were very knowledgeable and answered every question I had about the bike. I would definitely shop here again and will be coming back for any service needs I have with the bike I got here.
Quick help on a flat tire along with the expected expert advice and friendly service.
Ordered a Garmin device from Pasadena Cycles online and they responded very quickly to my order and shipped the next day. I received the package in a few days and works well. Thank you Pasadena Cyclery!
