We had a very unpleasant experience with Pella and felt completely taken advantage off. We had a dualpane window installed in our master bedroom but the entire thing took a wrong turn from the beginning. Pella changed the installation date last minute, the second time the installer did not show up, the third time the installer showed up on a pouring rainy day and finally, after about a month of re-scheduling we had our window installed. But don t keep your hopes up because Pella will never call you to re-schedule the installation. We had to keep calling Pella and they don t give you an install date right away we had to keep calling Pella many times until we got a date but then the installers don t show up and you have to start from the beginning.
The other issue was that we paid for a full frame installation (because the salesman John Alexander recommended since there was too much noise from the street) but in the end the installer only did what is called RETROFIT WINDOW INSTALLATION . He didn t remove the casing, or the jamb, or the trim ONLY THE DUAL PANEGLASS WAS INSTALLED. The installer told us someone from Pella will stop by to see how the window was installed and will process the payment after.
Well, it took two months and no one from Pella showed up or even followed up with a call to see if we were happy with the installation. They were happy to collect the money instead.
We wanted to receive credit for the work that was not performed and all the pine wood we were charged for - but you cannot do this with Pella. The salesman John Alexander and Flo from the office, keep flaunting the contract in your face because we signed it and once you sign you don t get anything else from Pella. Paying $3,400.00 for a dual pane glass installation that is even missing a hardware, I think it s very expensive.
When I told John about the install and the missing hardware he didn t even offer to send me the hardware. All I got from him was Well, did you sign off after the window was installed? So, I guess this is what you get from Pella rude customer service who s not even offering to send you a $3 hardware because they are busy flaunting a contract in your face. Well John and Flo, for a very expensive dual paneglass installation, I was hoping to have come with at least all the hardware. And no, we didn't keep all that pine jamb and casing or anything else we were charged for - I am sure you were able to use it for another install.
I don't usually write reviews but I'm so frustrated with this company and the way they treat people. Please read the reviews before getting into a contract because house renovation is already having a strain on people.
