I recently purchase a mid-century modern home and have been told the Pella Windows are original to the home, built in 1955. The house has been very well maintained and if I did need to replace them, I would certainly select Pella Windows.
Evan Combs has spear headed several projects we have been a part of for window installation. She is very knowledgeable of the products they have, which product fills all needs the best and what codes have to be met to pass inspections. Further, her organizational skills getting an estimate put together, color coordinations and any hardware necessary is efficient and effective. She is available on her phone or quickly responds and treats electronic communications the same way. She is a representative I would work with on any project.
My home was built in 1937 with original Pella roll screen windows and after 75 years, it was finally time to go down the replacement path. With over 45 openings in the house (over 90 individual windows) I had high expectations going into my first round of window replacement with Praire Pella Windows and Doors. They nailed it. Jordan Boley and team were completely transparent and courteous to work with. Lead times for raw materials, old window removal, new window installation and clean up were completely dialed in per Jordan's original promises. The house looks great. Period.
Great service. The windows have been very effective at keeping the heat in athis winter. The level of noise from outside has also been drastically reduced. The installers were great and worked quickly but accurately with no damage to the walls or siding. They even filled in a woodpecker hole in our siding!

Fortunately, we have our own version of Tom Silva in the Midwest and he goes by the name Denny Van Langen - what a guy! I'm not sure if he is really Dutch, or if he changed his name when he started with the company. I'd believe the latter because that's just how committed this gentleman is to playing the part.
We bought 7 windows from them. They installed them in 2 short days, and left little to no mess for us to clean up.

We needed to have our windows repaired due to water damage. We decided to go through the local Pella store in Clive because our windows are all Pella brand. We were required to schedule and pay $125 for an inspection and were under the impression we would receive a report along with estimate for repair. We did receive the inspection report, but were informed that the estimate is not included. In conclusion we are back to square one, out $125, and still trying to find someone to repair/replace our windows. I like the Pella brand, but am truly unsatisfied with the service. Next time around I will look to other vendors when installing and replacing windows.

Update: Different crew to install, very different experience. This crew is great. Covered everything, roped off our yard and working at 5times the pace as previous crew Pella had out. Looks incredible. This is what we expected off the bat. I ll say Pella has done their best to make things right after an initial disaster. Clearly the install crew makes all the difference. This one is great, first one we had was a disaster. They ve done their best to make it right. Quality is both product and install, this crew gets it. Nice folks, great job. First crew unfortunately didn t do a good job but again, Pella came back out to make it right.

We took advantage of Pella's Financing Special and replaced 12 Windows in our home. Our home was built in 1968 and still had the original windows. We planned on doing all white, and ended up doing The Impervia Fiberglass windows in black, with white trim. They look AMAZING. Our sales rep, Brian, did a great job pricing out several different options. The installation went so well. I was expecting some issues (old house, old windows), but everything went very smooth. We have a couple windows that are cut off by a ledge and I was concerned with how these would end up. They did a phenomonal job insterting the windows and adjusting the frames. The installer also stayed late to help my husband decide on how to hang the blinds. I couldn't be more happy with Pella. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the work is of very high quality.

When I built my house in 2009, the budget was tight. My builder at the time recommended I buy windows and doors from a cheaper company to save costs. The day my house was complete and even 10 years later, I have never regretted my decision to stick with Pella instead. Flooring and counters can be upgraded later, but my windows may very well last my lifetime in this home....and they are more beautiful and efficient than the competition. My windows and doors have held up well and Pella has been fantastic in customer service. Our rep, Brandon Klinge, was a friendly, knowledgeable professional from the start. He helped us address a broken seal a few years ago quickly and painlessly. He was a delight to work with and as much of an asset to Pella as their products. Pella isn't just superior doors and windows, but superior people. Brandon is the best in the business and could lead a masters class for other sales vendors in customer service and professionalism. Since building my house, I've worked with several builders in my capacity as a Realtor and every one of them raves along with me that Brandon Klinge is the very best and the main reason they use Pella. we have had excellent service from pella over the past several years. denny van langen has helped us replace 25 windows in the house, 5 double windows in our three-season porch, plus two doors and a slider. i'm detail-oriented, so denny was a great fit for me. there are way too many options to go through all the details, so denny listened to what we wanted, and gave us two or three complete proposals, each of which contained plenty of details for me to understand and choose. we were able to make an informed choice, which led to our high level of satisfaction with all three projects. the installation crew was very professional, with an excellent crew chief, skilled in customer communications.
we did have one problem with water getting into our front door sidelights, due to a faulty seal in manufacturing. denny served as the point person to see that the problem was fixed (sidelights were replaced without charge, because they were still under warranty), and again, i was impressed by the service crew.
the quality of the pella products is outstanding, and our house is now very well insulated and attractive!

We need every window in our home replaced and Pella of Des Moines was the solution to the problem. From the sales process with Anthony Blakley to the final install, everything went very smooth. We ordered the windows and delivery was very quick and the installers immediately started and finished in three days. We did this in the middle of the summer and the windows were not out long to save on our air conditioning. There was very little mess and was cleaned up every evening. We were very pleased.

A month and e half ago I had a salesman out to quote installing a bay window. I still don't have a quote . Everytime I reached out to them they told me they were having trouble with there installation contractors getting back to them. Makes you wonder if their contractors can't get back to them with a quote how are they going to be with the getting it installed.
It has benn a great experience buying windows and doors from Pella of Des Moines. My Rep. Anthony has repeatedly gone above and beyond with his service, and delivery is top notch !

Had new windows installed less than a year ago
First winter all windows iced up. I contacted pella and they said I had too much humidity in my house and they iced up because they were installed so air tight and the originals were not a better quality window. Now during our first good rain storm I have rain leaking through a latched and sealed window. So is it window quality that is the problem or is it the subcontractors they hired to install the windows. Either way they have not tried to correct the problem and it turns out I spent hard earned money on something that I obviously didn't need.

Pella stood behind there product and came back and reinstalled most of the trouble windows and decided adding window trim would help at no extra cost. It looks great and we appreciate it. We questioned weather it would help and went along with it. We shall see how winter goes.

First cold snap of year and unfortunately the frost has returned. There is moisture on most of the windows and frost on 3. This is an improvement so far but it is only 0 degrees out. The temperature in the house is 71 on the main floor and 70 upstairs. I'm not sure what to do.
Been trying to get two windows repaired in a house we purchased since the first of August. Previous home owner called at least twice and sent at least 4 e-mails to get work scheduled or done before we took possession of the house. He had not luck and no call backs. I started calling to check on the work and to give them my contact information. I've called at least 3 time now myself, and no call backs or work scheduled. They were nice and always say they'll call back, but have yet to get a call back, much less get the work scheduled or even get a service ticket # from them. Very disappointed not leaving a good taste in my mouth for the PELLA Brand.
We replaced the patio door in our kitchen with a Pella door and have been very happy with it! We are very pleased with the energy efficiency. We had an issue with the screen door and Evan Combs took care of us right away with no questions asked. Their delivery and installation people were also professional and did a great job! Pella is a premier window company. As we all know, Iowa is a state of extreme temperatures and high winds. Brandon Klinge sold me my windows and doors. He is an outstanding salesman. Denny Van Langen met with me and measured all my windows for my house in Ames, Iowa. He took the time to give me the details of the windows and what the process of replacement would entail. He pointed out that their staff only install Pella windows thereby making sure that the install is right and by the Pella standard.
The sales process and install was seamless. It only took one day and was on time. The energy cost for heating and cooling has been very economical for the cold Iowa winters and the hot summer we just experienced. I went ahead after replacing the windows and had my sliding glass door and garage windows replaced with Pella. Denny assisted me with that as well. That sliding door is gorgeous and the garage windows a vast improvement.
Denny knows windows and the Pella windows are high quality and beautiful. I am sure they have improved the value of my home and will be there for many decades to come.
I had Pella fiberglass windows installed in my old house and getting the new Wood Lifestyle windows with blinds in between the glass installed this week at my new house. We had our old house refinanced and the appraiser said he added 10% to the value of the home specifically bc of the New Pella replacements. The Pella product is hands down the best quality, best looking, and best performing window in the market. All their wood windows now have a limited lifetime warranty on the frame Can t be beat. Love the crew at Pella Des Moines
I recently had sashes replaced on my 1993 Pella casement windows, and I was very satisfied with the sales people and the service that I received. Everything was done professionally and at the time that it was scheduled. I will be having an exterior door replaced next week, and look forward to working with Pella then.
Sales dept may have multiple people to answers, but service dept is something else. on my recently purchase house have a Pella patio french door proline only 9 years and few months old and the warranty isn't cover. 20/10 years Warranty is BS.. Pella is good looking product, but isn't the product only, the service is really bad. I recommend before you purchase a product call, check on service dept. and try their service. No all Companies with expensive windows are good..and this is one. I'm a professional Window and door installer and I doubt on recommend this company. I had to replace many of their products due my clients found is a real headache deal with them, and is easier to replaced for other product. Do your homework and check reviews. Thanks

Our crummy sliding door finally bit the dust, and we began shopping around for French doors to replace it. We checked out a smaller local company, as well as Pella. Pella, by far, was the best choice of the two. Our sales rep was extremely knowledgeable and patient, and explained all of our options and the ins and outs of installation.
Pella also had many more options for French doors than the other company we talked to. I also loved that their installers are actually employees with salaries and benefits, instead of being outside contractors like other companies. It made me feel more comfortable with the installation process.

As a custom home builder and remodelor, Pella Windows and Doors is a great source of products for my clients. I usually attend the selection meetings for exterior doors and windows, but my rep, Brandon Klinge, can handle the full scope of everything involved for selections by himself. These meetings are not just product selections, Brandon has to think through the different trades involved for each window or door and how it may affect their phase. His knowledge and thought process is superb, I couldn't be happier with the service from Pella Windows and Doors.
The managers and parts department are very difficult to work with and only give excuses as to why they are to busy to respond in a timely manner. If you are to busy to respond, then hire more staff.

Our windows were past the stage of needing replacement and we were looking at box store windows and doing the installation ourselves to save on cost. After looking at options we decided to get a quote from Pella assuming we wouldn t be able to afford the best in the industry. The salesman came to our house and listened to what we wanted and helped us sort through the options. In the process we felt that the salesman s goal was to provide us with what we wanted but also guide our decision with their knowledge. No pressure to up-sell, only help to get us what we wanted. After looking at samples we made our choice for window and trim and we got a quote on the spot. We were surprised at the value. We have the best windows in the industry at a reasonable price. The salesman scheduled the install and we waited. On the scheduled day a crew showed up and did the install. They were friendly and explained what they were doing while they worked. The best description of the team was a group of craftsman that took pride in their work. They were so good and so fast the decision to have them do the install was the right choice. Go with their team. The only porblem we had was with the screens. Some of the screeens came damaged and had to be replaced. Working with the salesman and the warehouse presented some communication problems but there was never an issue with getting the best solution. We got the screens replaced and now have a house that is more comfortable and the windows are beautiful. Having worked with the Pella family over the years in my work I wasn t surprised. The company has great people working there and they have high standards with the customer s satisfaction in in mind. Example ~ My wife has Lupus so we went with UV glass except the window where we keep our plants. He is amazing and I highly recommend Denny, The installers did a great job and the windows look better than we could have imagined. Pella products are of immense quality, .
