Prices for the room size quite heavy but otherwise top hotel with spa area and everything!

Location couldn't be more convenient to the central train station. Room is quiet and large for Europe. There are no power outlets by the need in my room, but plenty by the TV wall. The bed is okay, not uncomfortable. The bathroom doesn't have much counter space. Overall though it's just what I needed. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They currently have a program to decline room cleaning for 10% off hotel food or 1500 club Carlson rewards points.

Nice hotel, nice rooms and good breakfast .. just had not slept well because of the traffic nuisance that passed. We would have known this in advance, book a room that is not on the roadside!

Modern clean room but despite being a superior room it was very small. Not a room you can relax in, only had a desk chair which was 3 inches in front of the TV.

Do you like massive spotlights shining directly into your room at night? How about rooms that don't look anything like their pictures on the hotel's website? And finally, are you a fan of mysterious charges that show up on your credit card after you check out?

If you said yes to any of the above questions, this hotel is for you.

Dated room interior but the location is unbeatable. Excellent breakfast selection

It was an "Ok" stay. The staff was mostly friendly, except if we had an extra wish (at the breakfast).
Lactose-free/soy -milk only sometimes available. No real vegan options at the breakfast buffet, you only get it if you talk to the manager.
We've seen a mouse in the bar area and spoke with the bartender, he didn't care much. The next day we saw the same(?) Mouse again.

Some other guests kept opening the emergency door at night, made noise and smoked "weed"(?) on our floor.
Location of the hotel was good.
Room seemed clean, receptionist were friendly.
But for the next stay, I will look for something else.

The hotel is very nice and comfy with its new renovation, it has great location with walking distance from many attractions. Try the pool and sauna to charge some warmth during cold weather in Amsterdam

Great location and comfort. Wonderful breakfast. Breads made fresh. Very complete. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed, excellent service. Even though you are in front of the Central Station with all those works, you are not bothered by the noise.

From the positive. Very convenient location of the hotel. Near all transport interchanges. The staff is friendly and attentive.
From the negative. The hotel is easy to get lost, because consists of several buildings with a complex system of transitions and elevators.
Another moment. Mini bar. Staff clogs the refrigerator with drinks to the eyeballs. In order to use the refrigerator you have to unload it all. But if there was an empty seat - right there when the room is serviced, the refrigerator clogs again.

The staff are incredible, friendly and accommodating. Staying on the modern side, the room is clean and efficient with a great view of the train station. The bed is very comfortable. No hotel seems to be as conveniently located as the Park Plaza Victoria for incoming tourists and for Amsterdam sightseeing. We are so glad to have booked here.

We ve got Executive room with view of central station. Very nice and spacious for 3 of us. Room decor is modern. Breakfast is satisfying with enough choices. Bread and croissant are freshly baked and yummy.

This hotel has a great location, excellent service and a full bar and restaurant both often operating at close to capacity. The central location and busy hospitality areas give it a buzzy atmosphere. The hotel staff are polite and friendly and willing to hear any request that you might have so long as it s within their gift. The hotel also has a small swimming pool, spa and fitness area but with so much to see and do in Amsterdam, you might not get there!

When we checked in we were given a room with someone in it lol and heads up this place is not the cleanest as it is busy and the doors slam hard so you hear it all night. The ammenties are in line with a 4 star and the bar and bartender get 5 stars!

Took forever to find my room as one side of the hotel was being redone. I probably didn't listen to the receptionist carefully, but hey, if it takes you 5 sentences to explain where the room is, you might want to specifically call out the urban wing, the one place you wouldn't go to if you're just trying to follow the arrows on the walls.

This hotel is divided into two parts. A part with modest rooms, acceptable without fantasy far from the activities like the sauna or the swimming pool, and, another part with rooms all renovated .. the sanitary cleanliness is not exceptional
For a place so well placed (near train station, airport and all nice activities in Amsterdam) and the price, I really expected a better

The first big square after the station. I did not stay, there is an imposing and artistic exterior.

The hotel was lovely but they take a 70 euro deposit on entrance for the mini bar and say it will be returned to you after your stay has finished. The deposit wasnt returned after my stay and was told I'd have to wait upto 14 working days. It still hadn't been refunded to my account. I was then told they would have it sent over to me within 48 hours. Still nothing. My patience is wearing very thin and after ringing them for the past 3 days being passed around people and not getting anything back. Beware they are happy to take money from you but not return it.

Hotel was okay. My room was very spacious. Kinda a far walk from hotel room to lobby, two different elevators were required. I had requested the sofa be made into a bed and that was never done. In the morning on day of checkout, the maid came knocking reminding me to check out so she can make the room.

Desk staff were friendly and efficient but the building is very...tired. Getting to the urban wing is a trek and unnecessarily convoluted. The carpets and wallpaper are old and dirty and there is a very musty smell. I am surprised this is a 4 star property, but apparently they are renovating so hopefully it will get revamped.

We stayed at the hotel before, while it was being renovated, and it was a pleasure to come back for a long weeekend in August 2018. The superior king rooms are lovely and quite large compared to other 4* hotels. The one we had on the 4th floor had a few stairs separating the seating area from the bedroom area. No view of sights from the room, but we did not really spend enough time inside to actually miss a view :). The location is the best you could have, steps away from public transportation and the central station which connects the city and Schipol airport.
All refurbishments are of great quality. Breakfast was excellent in terms of variety and product quality. Spa area seemed small, cozy and intimate, but we had no time to try it out.
Overall a lovely stay!

Its a pretty good hotel within a walking distance from Amsterdam Central station. Decent Rooms, Good ambience & courteous staff.

Major issue is the hotel booked an amount from my account, for our entire duration of stay, without my consent and without informing me. Upon enquiries with the reception I was then informed that my hotel costs/expenses will be deducted from the blocked amount. But the hotel further deducted money from my account for the cost of staying there and expenses in addition to the blocked amount. This was on the 18th of June. After several emails and correspondence with the hotel guest relations member of staff, I am still waiting for the blocked amount to be released and for me to receive my money back. This on the 29th of June. Highly inconvenient and stressful situation. The hotel is very centrally located. Staff is very friendly and breakfast was excellent. We had to wait for quite a long time though along with our 6 year old daughter for our room although our flights were delayed and we reached well after 1300 hours. The sofa bed had a very uncomfortable mattress and we could not sleep at all comfortably on the same. We were on the 1st floor and sound proofing of windows was inadequate again making it very difficult for my family and me to sleep.

Centrally located.
Everything is clean, beautiful inside.
It is better to call a taxi through the hotel, because Uber will not be able to drive to the entrance.

Great location, nice big and modern rooms. BUT it is Victoria Hotel!!! I stood in front of Park Plaza for 1/2 hour before someone from the hotel next door came out to guide me to the right location

This hotel is amazing, perfect location, perfect professional and experienced staff. My only complaint is I couldn't stay longer. But thats my issue nothing wrong with the hotel

Nice breakfast withe a friendly staff at the restaurant; some missing info regarding COVID19 new regulations, which weren't mentioned online or at check-in, made our stay not very smooth, still the location is right across the central station und the p1 parking lot couldn't get better.

The room was excellent, although due to some broken lifts it wasn't especially direct to get to or easy to find. Staff were great and even provided a balloon and some sweets as it was my birthday. Unfortunately the room service and mini fridge were obscenely expensive.

Really clean really good looking. I loved the modern style of it! The only reason i am giving 4* instead of 5* is because we got interrupted by a test fire alarm.

Beautiful hotel, in a great location, close to the train station and trams.

The hotel is in great location, i recieved a well to mention service by the staff as i needed late checkout, the breakfast is very nice.
I would definitely consider staying there again in my next visit and would also recommend it to my friends.

Classic bait and switch. I write this review while laying in the single bed, with a single pillow, in a tiny room that this hotel put me in for 275 euros. The bathroom is almost as big as the rest of the room. This room doesn't resemble and of the photos advertised on their websites. I'm very unhappy with this room because if I would have spent 10-15 euros more, I could have stayed at the Renaissance around the corner and had a much bigger & nicer room that would have at least resembled the advertisement. The only benefit of this hotel is its location, however if you don't mind an extra 2 minute walk, book elsewhere. Location is a steap price to pay.

While I'm certain that this hotel has bigger and nicer rooms, a guest shouldn't have to go to reception to complain that the hotel missreperesented the quality of the rooms. The hotel is fully aware of the missadvertisement as some of the rooms (I'm on the 1st floor) are not up to par. The room was musty, the mattress was firm, and I've been lucky to get a solid hour of sleep (writing this at 2:30am). I would go to the front desk to complain except I will be leaving in an hour and a half to catch a flight out of Schipol, so it's not even worth the effort. I expect I will get better rest on my flight home. I booked this hotel through my company's travel portal as I am here on business and will recommend others avoid this hotel in the future. Working in the travel/occomodation industry myself, I am familiar with false advertising.

On a separate note the staff were courteous and friendly, so this hotel at least has that working for it. But if you plan on staying at this hotel in the future, call in advance and CONFIRM CONFIRM COMFIRM to make sure your expectations are in line with what the hotel is advertising.

Really nice hotel with pleasant staff, clean, clean, clean rooms, a nice restaurant, a relaxing bar and great location across the street from the train station. No matter where you wander off to in Amsterdam, the street signs lead you back to the train station and hence your hotel. Don't worry, it's quiet too. We will definitely be back.

Great concierge! Very helpful! Room was great with a view. Definitely would stay again. Not cheap by far, but very good service.

The location is great, literally across the street from the Central station, so no having to drag your luggage through the streets. As with most things here, it's old, but well kept. Staff is attentive and looking to help.
