I had a terrific experience at DCH Paramus Honda while recently purchasing a car. The process from Sales Associate (Lisa Acosta), to Finance Associate (Kelvin Rodriguez), to Laura Santos who thoroughly went through and explained all the different features the car offered, was just great. The whole team felt like they truly cared, listened to me and answered any questions I had. I was able to purchase a car that was perfect for me at the price that was within my budget. I never felt pressured and everyone I dealt with were very friendly. I will definitely recommend DCH Paramus Honda, especially Lisa & Laura, to any friends or family who are looking to purchase a vehicle.

Worse experience of my life, I leased a vehicle with this dealership and within a month of having it I was asked for 500 extra dollars because I was not a veteran within two years so I did not meet the criteria for them. I handed them my DD214 same day and was accepted nothing else was said regarding the credit until a month later. When I brought this to there attention they said they would honor the 500 towards the down payment if I made a payment of 265 towards my monthly payment to them directly because they held the contract up due to the 500 dollar voucher and it was due to Honda finance, I never asked them to make any payment and made the payment my self to Honda finance. So I call and check with Honda finance to see if there are any other payments made and shore enough I was told that only payment was the one I made. Now the dealership is holding the $ 500 towards my down payment over my head and saying that I misrepresented my self to them. Humm I am a veteran , Gave them the dd214 ( says the dates of service right on there ) Have email proof of sending it to there emails and is my fault for them not checking dd214 and telling me before I signed that it was no good. Still currently waiting to see what will come out of this. More to follow...

Even though I was just leasing another CRV he went over every detail with me since there was a couple of changes. Our finance guy was Jerrod Hurley who happened to be my last salesman, it was nice to have someone I already dealt with and he made a long process as quick as possible. did not have a good experience here at all. as soon as we drove up to the entrance we were swarmed like fresh meat by a pack of vultures. the salesperson was also very annoying and very much a SALESPERSON. i will not mention the name of the person. did not get good vibes from him. we also had an online quote from another salesperson that works there and it was not honored so we left. we left to another honda dealership ~30 min away and that was so much better

Unacceptable Service by a Sales Manager Mr. Chong ...

Unacceptable Service by a Sales Manager Mr. Chong Lee at Paramus Honda Route 4 of New Jersey. My family went in to lease a Honda Pilot 2020 edition. Mr. Aswandy Arias - a Gentleman was the Sales Rep. He gave us a test drive.

At the outset I told them that I am a Honda car owner and have 2 Honda's. In fact, I had bought my first Honda from them.

3 down payment options were given. We selected the Maximum of $2500 shown on the sheet provided. The monthly payment came to like 600 plus dollars. We said it was very high. He brought in Mr. Chong Lee, a Sales Manager. After talking to him he said he can do $400 per month. I asked for $350. All my family members were given the impression that the Sales Manager would do it. Even Mr. Aswandy said to me the next day he called me that he was also under the impression that Mr. Chong Lee agreed to our $350 per month Lease Payment request. After asking more questions about the car 20 minutes later, Chong Lee said that he did not say he would do the deal at that price of $350. Things escalated. We got up and left and we are glad.

My question is : obviously any Customer wants to pay less money whether they lease or buy the car. Mr. Chong Lee could have said something like, I cannot do $350 but I can do say 385 or so. Start negotiating with the customer. That is the Manager's job. He was stuck at $400 and would not even give me another quote. He said there is no deal here.

I wish to point out that their own website even had a deal for the same SUV for$329 per month payment. Mr.Chong Lee or Mr. Aswandy did not even mention this deal to us. The reason given by Mr.Aswandy the next day when he called me to give him a second chance was that the monthly payment was higher - something like 3179 or so. My defense is I was shown only 3 options with $2500 being the maximum down payment for the lease. Had they mentioned a higher down payment amount for the $329 deal, I would have probably taken it. They are the one's who are selling the SUV. They have to tell us all possible deals or down payments they have to offer a customer. They did not.

I also told them that I was also going to surrender my 2007 Honda Odyssey to them and buy the Honda Pilot 2020 Model. They could have made money there too. But Mr.Chong Lee was rigid and was not interested to make a deal. I guess the time was around 7:30 PM on Sunday evening and that could be one of the reasons as he probably needed to go home. We were in the showroom by around 6:00 PM.

They have lost a valuable a Honda customer. I will never go back to them. Mr.Chong Lee even had the audacity to say there are 20 other dealers that I can go to. He also told me that he sells 800 cars a month and he knows the price to offer. This is how a loyal Honda owner is treated at this location.

As Mr. Chong Lee suggested, everyone reading this article probably need to go to the 20 other dealers. I am sure that the the other dealers do not have employee like this.

Mr.Aswandy is on commission more than Chong Lee. Poor Mr. Aswandy lost out. I am sorry for him. DCH Paramus Honda need to re-train their Sales force / Managers. Many people like me who were treated like this simply do not say or post anything in social media. God knows how much business was lost by Mr.Chong Lee for Paramus Honda.

My Son really liked a Civic and we were talking to ourselves that if the deal went through we can do the Civic as well. But that was not to be.
I would have 100 percent given them my business that day.

DCH stands for DELIVERING CUSTOMER HAPPINESS. I do not see it or feel it at Rt.4 Paramus Honda of New Jersey. They have lost a customer for life and I will mention it to all my friends and groups in Social Media.

A week ago, I came to Paramus Honda. I was hopeless and tired of looking for a car that fits in my price range. I pulled in and walked and walked until I saw a group of workers, out of all the workers Ahmad came up to me and greeted me really nicely. I was amazed at how nice he was, he instantly offered me coffee and sat me down to work with me. I explained to him my problem with my car and let him know that I still owed money, he informed me that he can help me. He showed me a few a cars and we picked the best fit for me. After five long hours of tremendous work ethic, I left with a brand new 2016 accord in which I really love. Ahmad was really great and I will definitely recommend my friends to him. I will always come back to Honda because of him.

Bought a new 2018 Honda Accord from DCH in Paramus (12/29/18) and the experience was superb. Maria Alcantara ensured the buying process went smoothly with no stress. This had to be my best car buying experience ever and will come back as a future customer. The service and attention to detail was beyond her calling. Further, when....
(a) I forgot to remove my EZ Pass from my trade-in. In order to retrieve it, Maria had to call the storage yard where the car was transported.

also, she gave me a discount for the purchase of a door protective body moulding which I plan to install myself. This sales lady could not do enough for me. Loved being pampered by her to make me happy.

While I was still covered by my factory warranty, ...

While I was still covered by my factory warranty, I scheduled a service appointment for this morning to have 3 problems checked/repaired with my 2012 CR-V EX-L.
Rear seat rattle
Rear backup camera screen
Rotors out of round/excessive surface corrosion

I met with a service advisor, Danny to describe my problems. I told him that this is my second visit for the rear seat rattle because their 'fix' the first time seemed to be temporary and the rattle returned. Told him that I know what the cause is and can replicate the noise if needed. When going over bumps, the rear seat latches rattle when making contact with the striker. The tech that worked on this problem the last time told me he could replace the latches if necessary but would try his fix first to which I agreed and now regret.
I continued to describe that the backup camera screen has gone blank twice when the vehicle is in reverse and I receive no picture.
When I told him that my rotors felt out of round and there was excessive surface corrosion on them, he gave me a strange look and tried to tell me it's because I don't drive the vehicle enough. For the record, I drive the vehicle daily. Sure, I have a short commute to work but there's no reason why the rotors should feel warped and I can hear the corrosion on the them when driving.

I waited for the vehicle...3 1/2 hours later my vehicle was 'ready'. Not once did anyone give me an update until it was already parked outside and 'finished'. I would've appreciated if they came into the waiting room to update me...especially that Danny had walked through there a couple times with other customers and saw me sitting there. Frank, another service advisor came into the waiting room to deliver me the news and paperwork. Frank was pleasant to deal with and took the time to explain each of the repairs to me. I didn't know why I started with one service advisor but ended with another...the only thing I could think of is that Frank was my service advisor during my past visit. In my experiences with service centers, usually the service advisor you initially talk to when you walk in and describe your problem to is your service advisor until the job is complete...but maybe they changed their policy regarding that. Maybe that was for the best being that Frank was nicer to deal with.

Onto the results...
Supposedly, the rear seat rattle was caused by a loose gas tank shield which they secured. As soon as I drove away and drove over the first bump in the road, the rattle occurred again. I guess they didn't want to start with replacing the rear seat latches as the previous tech had offered from my last visit! So the question now is do I return to this dealership again or try another for solving this problem?
They were unable to replicate the rear camera issue. That I can understand because it only happened twice so far and there's no prediction as to when it would happen.
It so happens that the rear brake pads and rotors had excessive surface rust and there's a technical service bulletin to correct this problem which involves replacing the brake pads and recut the rotors. I was happy with that. Funny that Danny didn't know of this when I initially described that problem to him and tried blaming it on the lack of vehicle use/driving!

Hope this review helps others with choosing the proper dealership for their service.

Update-6-28= I did not spin any truth. The service was Rude from the point I got there. My credit was beyond the fact that we even tried a different deal. But like I said they already had their mind set on selling to someone else. No worries I already got another deal lined up. Not my los. -Rude service. They had someone else interested in the truck I put a deposit on so they changed the numbers on me. I cancelled the deal on my end and they left so happy to make money on the other customer. They talk the talk to get you there. Then after they couldn't care less. It was like ok bye now we get more money. It worked out in their favor which is all they care about.

Scheduled an appt for front brakes and oil change.
Scheduled online, super clear instructions, pulled up and was seen by nice employees. The shop is sooo clean!
Danny is really great. So nice, attentive and detail oriented.
What I appreciate is them checking out my whole car and making appropriate recommendations. One of which was that my brakes were still good (even though firestone told me they needed to be replaced). I appreciate the transparency any not trying to gauge me.
I love the thorough breakdown of what service my car actually needs and a print out explaining why. Good job
The free coffee and bagels were nice.
Lots of points for a professional area to work at a table with outlets!
I honestly felt this whole experience has won me over as a returning customer.
The check out/cashier experiences could use some help, just a tad.
Overall, I have been to two other dealers nearby.

Update: 03/06/2020:

Sloppy. My last experience was great! This one was not. Went in for an oil change and was told my brakes were bad and there s an active recall. 7 hours later, my car was released and I find damage to the door handle (recall) from what looks like prying. There were also left over grease and black scuff marks surrounding the handles that wasn t cleaned up. I was told the handles weren t taken out as part of job. Just handed to me. I just paid $500+ for services. This isn t right. Once I got home, I find the automatic locks on the driver s door isn t working, which means my alarm with my key fob doesn t work. Sigh. Now, I have to make another appointment and sit for a few more hours to get this fixed, hopefully without more damages. Pictures below. Sloppy. On a brighter note, my brakes don t cause my steering wheel to shake anymore. Time will tell if they were done correctly.

We were in the market for 2018 CR-V. I got the quotation through the Internet and we came in with preparation to purchase. When we walked in we were greeted by Greg - this down to earth guy who really put us at ease immediately. He doesn't brag, doesn't speak with a loud voice, doesn't exaggerate like most car sales person do (sorry most car sales person). He invited us to sit down and he pulled up our records. Initially I wanted to talk to the person that I did the deal with over the Internet and then phone, and Greg know enough to bring that person out to introduce himself before formally introduce us to Greg.

Greg went to get a CR-V for us to test drive. We test drive the SUV - Greg was giving us recommendations on where to go, and are quick to answer any question that we have. I like Greg because he is really easy to talk to, very down to earth person and never gets upset over anything. I was a bit annoyed when in the final offer, there were some admin fees that I did not expect and Greg smoothly resolves it for us - no excuse given, only with the promise that he would try his best to convey our request to the right person. He took our old car to be appraised (took quite a while as the dealership was really busy) came back, smiling and apologetic - then proceed to do our paperwork. Totally relax and calm, never restless. Greg is the kind of person who knows his customer as he was never pushy - he knew that we have done our research before going to the dealership. He is just there to facilitate the process of buying a new vehicle - and he made it so easy for us. Greg answered all our questions patiently - took me out to see the two CR-V with shades of grey that I have to see to decide. It was super cold out there but he cheerfully walked me from one car to another. Also, while we were completing our paperwork with some finance person,

Greg proactively took a step to remove all the stuff from our old SUV (we have quite a bit of stuff as we traveled with our dogs a lot) and place it in the back of our new ride. When we got out from the finance department - Greg told us that we are all ready to go : ) he got the stuff moved while he was waiting for us. Really awesome guy to work with. Never get upset or riled up on anything. Always with a smile - this guy is really down to earth! We drove our new ride out feeling happy and satisfied. We had to bring the title of the old car the next day - and hey it is Greg and his grey beanie hat again : ) It was so nice to see him - even though the process of obtaining a new SUV took a long time the day before. Worst price of all the dealership we visited. They said that price was beyond fare and that no other Honda dealership could beat it, four other dealership did buy much more. They promised a visa gift card for a test drive but more excuses and a no call back on that. Sale management was very rude Once we didn't agree on the price. Big fancy dealership but you are just another number to them.

Leasing my first new Honda. Came to DCH since my family has bought many vehicles from here and was hoping to work with the same salesman they used. However he has since left. I was instead helped by Carlos, who was as genuine of a salesman as I've ever dealt with. The entire time he was friendly, professional, easy to work with, and I could honestly tell he had my interests as the priority. He made sure I could have the exact car and color I hoped for. Short of some delays in getting the vehicle from another dealer, I had a great experience working with Carlos.

I was a little nervous in going to the dealership because of past experience, but John and Jose really made me feel comfortable.
They both new their information very well and were able to answer all my questions. They also made sure I knew what I was getting and what worked for me the most. What I really loved about them was the fact that they were looking out for MY best interest. They were not pushy by any means, but just genuine, which I really appreciated. I am in love with my Honda Accord Sports mode and I'm looking forward to buy another car from them!! I would definitely recommend this dealership to everyone.

We had a WONDERFUL experience at DCH Honda! A HUGE thank you to Bobby and Alex Bernabe who gave us the royal treatment and made sure we were getting what we wanted within our budget constraints. Alex was very upbeat and accommodating. He explained everything thoroughly, from the paperwork to the how to actually operate the features of the car. Kelvin Rodriguez, the Finance Manager, was also extremely helpful in explaining the financial paperwork and warranty options. Thank you again, guys! We knew we were in great hands once we walked into the dealership. We LOVE our first Honda and will definitely return in the future!

Great experience leasing my new car at DCH Honda on Saturday. The salesman, Alex Bernabe, was a pleasure to work with on every level. He helped my sister get a great deal for a 3-year lease on a 2015 Honda Civic. He was personable, efficient, and HONEST. There was no fine print or catches to the deal. Since he was so straightforward and pleasant and I was on the market for a new car as well, I also signed a lease for the same vehicle. He honored the same deal he gave my sister. There was actually a small hiccup with the process. Someone inadvertently dinged the car that was intended for me on the morning of my pickup. Alex had the whole thing handled and a new replacement vehicle was ready for me by the time I arrived. It was truly a no-hassle experience. I really like my new car and I was very impressed with Alex's professionalism and helpfulness. I will recommend DCH Honda, and particularly, Alex Bernabe, to my friends and family in their next car buying or leasing experience. Painless process!

all the 5star reviews here are true trust me. please!!! if you want a car and as long as its a honda please go to DCH no matter where u are, i live 25miles from there and i didn t regret going there. Everybody is nice, the ladies at the FD were nice even the sales rep dealing with other folks were nice but Joshua took care of me and he was exceptional ! I had a complicated situation but he rocked w/ me for 6hrs + and he got me what i want. The deal i got for an 18 accord sport will shock u. if don t believe just ask for a quote and u will see how detailed the email they sent u is and how affordable it is over there. best thing is i got there and the figures were the same. whatever your problem is, as long as its a honda u want just go there. I have always been skeptical to go in a dealership but we needed a car and we went in, we were assigned to Kamal and it is probably one of the easiest car transactions I've experienced. Kamal was straight up, knew what we needed and did not waste our time. I would hope to come back when one of our vehicle's lease is up.

I was really excited about my purchase , my sales representative was amazing in the beginning but now!? I don t understand I use to work at sprint for 3 years and I never sold a product and did not follow up with my customer or not return the phone calls. I ve called Over and over to speak to Abel . Oh let s not mention how every single time I call , the receptionist is RUDE.

I work at a furniture company where I am customer service I deal with all types of people , but you don t ever see me being rude or nasty with someone who is doing business with me and keeping my company open ! I ve met three people thus far who has made my experience better even after me being disrespected. As for Abel and the few other receptionists they need to be retrained , and work on communication and ethic skills !

This was my first car buying experience and it was far more simple and smooth than I expected thanks to Manny. Manny had been taking care of my family for over a decade and now I understand why my father refuses to lease a car from anyone else! His intelligence and knowledge is unmatched I plan on recommending DCH Paramus to all of my friends especially if Manny can help give them a great deal like he did for me. They must retrain the employees in the service department. The women service advisors have sassy attitude and the service technicians have no respect to the customers' cars.
My first visit, the problems were not fixed so i had to go there again the next week. The second visit, the tire pressures for two left tires were lit up but the service "technician" told me to drive and it will go away. I came home and checked the tire pressure with my equipment and they were measured at 23psi when 35psi is what the pressure should be at.
Terrible service.

I absolutely loved our experience here. We came in just window shopping and saw a car we loved. Ray worked his best to get us a great deal. Once that didn t work out, due to unseen circumstances, he managed to get us a different car and a different deal. Now we have a 2016 Civic which we absolutely love. Ray definitely went out his way to make this happen for us. Would definitely go back to him for future car purchases.
