I like flying into SFB...easy to navigate and friendly staff.

Helped parking people for the Air Show!! Awesome show from the pilots!!! Had a blast of a time!!

Great alternative to MCO. Small, fast, well organized... it's an airport...

The airport has a terrible design and terrible signage. For instance, in order to find the "economy lot" (13$ a day) we had to follow two small temporary signs that were unlit, one of which had fallen over. The security area is very backed up and there is literally one bench and no standing area for people to collect their belongings and put on shoes. The airport is designed so that 4 of the gates bottleneck into one small hallway so good luck when two planes are boarding at once. After our return flight, baggage claim took almost an hour before they brought out the bags. Small airport convenience does not apply here.

By far the worst run small airport I have been in recently. Arrived 2 hours ahead (4:30AM), lines were so long I thought something was terribly wrong...nope, just backed up clear across terminal. We barely made our flight( thank God security was on the ball), only because they finally started calling people up to check in by flight.
On the return there was only one luggage carousel working for all arriving flights. They had us running back and forth between carousels. I was traveling both ways as a companion to an elderly woman, and it was a nightmare for both of us.

This is a quiet airport with not many people. Allegiant flights take off and land from this airport. You can find Starbucks, food court, other food joints too. It is not the nicest airport.

Good place, and to be more effective both staff and users, dare directions immediately and wear shoe without laces

The renovations that is being done looks very good. It looks very clean and refreshing

Both terminals are small and easy to navigate. That's worth a star right there, but that's where the good stops. The workers I dealt with were pretty average. The seating areas were cramped and deafeningly loud. The floor shook as people walked by, and the A/C was set just cool enough that the breeze from people walking by inches away was welcome instead of loathed.

The TSA Staff at SFB airport are some of the kindest I have ever met!

TSA was excellent, did a very through job, great attitude and helpful.

Quick and easy airport. The minor security makes it less of a pain to fly.

Great airport, small but has all amenities and free wifi. Always clean, friendly staff. No long lineups for security.

The pretent TSA here are horrible. Almost made me miss my flight because they profiled and then were extremely rude talking to me as if I was a threat! These people need to do their jobs better. Maybe hire people with more then just a high school diploma!

After our last trip out of SFB incurred long lines and wait times, we paid extra for priority. There was no people working that counter but we were instructed to wait there. So after a few minutes, a different worker put us in the back of the standard long line.

This was after discovering the parking garage was full and doing a second trip around to find parking.

Expect long lines/wait times at the allegiant counter. Then expect a long slow line thru security. If you think you will save time departing from this smaller airport, you will be disappointed.

Temporary parking costs the same if not more then Orlando International.

Perfect airport restrooms are nearly completely touch less! Very nice very clean!

Great airport and easy in/out! Under construction at entrances to building; it's going to be nice!

Some of this is because of a 5 hour delay. They closed the food places, had very little to offer and not very accommodating. They only had a few power points for cell phones and other devices.. Stuck in a terminal for 6 hours is tough, do something to make sure the wait is tolerable.

I live close to the airport and not for nothing since Friday all the way through Sunday the Lockheed air jets are so annoying and loud they're passing all our houses and they don't know if we have babies that want to sleep or that cannot sleep and giving us hell flying over our houses very rude and disrespectful... And seriously I thought at first it was Armageddon or the rapture LOL

It was nice and easy transition for Departing or Arriving Flights in/out of the Airport. Cleaned and Sanitized as well

It will be awesome. Lots of construction but good ahead I'm sure.

In and out when my self and mom flew very easy compared to larger airports

The Sanford airport is NOT located in Orlando nor does it have anything to do with Orlando International Airport (MCO). You will be adding an additional 30 minutes to your transit to Orlando or more if you want to visit any of the theme parks! The misleading name change is just a desperate attempt to link itself to Orlando and confuses people who don't know any better.

I loved this place because many people speak Spanish

Efficient and helpful. It is the best small airport that I have used. In and out in a flash!

Great renovations added to the airport, but maybe train your employees who are checking checked-in bags to know the difference between a hoverboard and One Wheel pint battery powered skateboard. This device is within the allowed wattage to board any airline. Never had a problem with taking the OneWheel at any other airport. How messed up is it that I traveled with it, but can't travel back with it? Whoever was the person on the power trip of not letting this through I say to you, way to do your job with absolute excellence. Making a difference and saving lives!

Small airport that is easy to get in and out. Their car rental has moved as you have a good walk to get there. Rental drop off also is a little confusing. They have a lot next to the airport marked for return that is not close to the check in desk. You can actually drive to a lot next to the rental car return.

Trade off between convenience and resources. This airport is easy to get to and from, has onsite car hire and lots of cheap flights. However, there a few shops/restaurants and these are overpriced.

The most unorganized boarding ever. Cheap flights but very unorganized. Especially for allegiant

Order always gets messed up not to mention doesn t taste like it should like any other Starbucks it taste like it should. Plus employees are rude! If I was were you and have an option of going to a different Starbucks I would recommend it!

Downloaded the app. Check in and security were a breeze. TSA people were politepolite. No hassles!

Two people working the line of about 60 customers. Two separate lines that separated people depending on their destination so made the lines even longer. Would have been much easier making it one line or two lines where we could checkin with any attendant. Could not do self checkin if you have kids because they need to verify their d.o.b . So we had to go wait in the line. Apparently this is done by just asking them for their d.o.b. And because of all this, No signs or anything telling people any of this. It just so happen an attendant was standing around and said NO KIDS IN SELF CHECK IN . Then I had to get out of line to ask someone what the second line was for. So ridiculous. Never again.

Small airport which I'd great when arriving, takes no time to get from landing to your hire car. There isn't much to do here so bring something to amuse yourself waiting for your plane. The staff are amazing though, always happy and glad to help.

Flying Allegiant out of Sanford to Bismarck saves us a ton of money.

You can't beat the price of Allegiant Airlines and the simplicity of Orlando Sanford International Airport

This has to be the weirdest American airport I have ever flown through.... But mostly weird in the best possible way.

Walk through the efficient fast immigration (friendly chatty tsa staff)... Ten feet later you're by the two luggage carousels.... Walk through the security doors and..... You're outside on the street...

20 minutes from plane to street.

Made the very incorrect guess that departures was as sparce as arrivals and sat outside for hours ago that i could vape and drink... Went into the welcome center which to be honest could do with a cafe and not just 4 expensive vending machines (three being broken).

Finally gave up and went through the far security... And... Really great lounge with.... A sundeck / smoking area and just incredibly lovely staff in the shops and bar.

Would definitely use this airport again..

Only criticism... Might be worth advertising what's in the lounge in the check-in hall!

Only bad thing is that there is absolutely no lighting in the cell lot for nighttime arrivals.

PICK THE LEFT SECURITY LANE. This is a small airport with just one TSA security check point area. They do have a TSA Precheck line on the far right that was open but not manned the day my wife and I flew out. This line was free of travelers, but had no one manning the ID check. So Precheckers cut in front of the normal line passengers in the right lane when they got to the front of the line. In total there were three security lines, two of which were normal lines. My advice is to pick the left. It was physically shorter and fed to two separate ID checks and two security scanner machines. But you can't see this from the start of the line. Obviously, I picked the right lane and waited twice as long. TSA Staff - why the disperaty? This is becoming a busy airport, and I can see this becoming a point of contention in the future. I sincerely hope I remember to give Allegiant my KTA on the next flight.

Easy experience. No hassle through security. Very low key airport. The negative is that there aren't a lot of food options.

So much closer to our house than MCO so very convenient. Major improvements due to major renovations. Security is usually quick, efficient and friendly. Allegiant is the main airline that flies out of Orlando Sanford and luckily it flies to the cities we frequent. Allegiant is very affordable. We've been flying out of Orlando Sanford for many years now and have always had positive experiences.

Ad gat ad airports go.. This place was relatively simple and there was no hassle in any way when we landed.

My only problem with this airport is their parking.
Went there last Saturday and all of the short term parking areas were closed off. Not full, just barricaded. Had to move my car twice, because of poor signage. ended up walking about 6 block lengths. I have knee and lower back problems and I hurt pretty good by the time I got home.

Parking is a rip off. The rates keep going up and up. Way to screw over tourists visiting Florida, Sanford!!!

This place is awful I have ALS and i had to wait 15 minutes before someone could transport me to the plane the TSA officers treated me like I was a prisoner I told them I could stand to get scanned but I guess I was taking to long of time to get out of my wheelchair so this TSA female practically threw me in my wheelchair and raced me through the line and proceeded to search me and not in a pleasant manner then they had to search my purse but I wasn t present for that some of my medicine went missing from my purse don t know what happened to it I can only assume this place is disgusting and the people are rude and I will never fly Allegiant again or land in Orlando Sanford again

Friendly funny staff, quick thorough processing, never lose my luggage!

The definition of zero stars but I can't give it. Dreamliner flight, so few hundred passengers, 3 check in desks open, insane system for checking luggage, security has 2 scanners and is crammed in the space at the foot of an escalator and a lift. The departure lounge wouldn't be too bad except on the busy Saturday afternoon we were there a lot of it, including the food court, was shut! I've seen better faculties and organisation at a bus station at midnight. Would genuinely reconsider flying TUI to Orlando if they continue to use this place.

Surprisingly convenient. Had everything you'd expect from a big airport, even a Starbucks.

This airport is easy to get to. I like how small it is. Flights taken in and out of here have went smooth. Had an airline delay but not due to the airport. Would recommend using this airport again.

This is a great size for an airport, and very convenient for the places we wanted to visit. With small children, it was nice to be able to get around without having to walk so far, and it was very convenient to the toll road. I do wish Sanford would build an overpass over the train tracks, though! I have been to the Orlando airport several times, and hated it, and will do my best to fly into Sanford in the future.

Small, cute little airport. I also don't mind Allegiant, at least for the prices. Still don't understand how Allegiant can pack an airplane with people, middle seat included, during this pandemic. Also, the prices for parking are a bit high for a small airport. But I do like the airport.

The most unorganized airport ever! They made us go into the regular lines when we had priority, many of the staff were rude. Do not suggest.

TSA was very excessive, easily the worst airport I ve been to

This airport does not allow Uber or Lyft to pick up travelers. Even though if you go to the website it says that Uber does operate out of there. Instead you will only be able to get one of the many taxis waiting in the wings to take you at more than double the cost. I also flew Allegiant which once again disappointed. Stayed on the tarmac 1.15 hours to fix engine problem before taking off. The airport itself is small and relatively hassle free but I will not fly Allegiant or use this airport for travel unless I can have someone drop off and pick me up.

Dreadful airport. The only good thing about it is it's small. The biggest problem is it's small. Coming through security to board our flight was a scrum. No room to stand and wait to collect your belongings from the screening. Everyone is on top of each other. God help you if your bag get pulled for extra security search like mine because I had cookies in my hand luggage. No fluids or weapons. Just cookies. The type you eat. Very few facilities. The facilities that there are, are expensive. The only good thing is because it's small you aren't competing with thousands of other passengers. Service is slow due to limited staff numbers. It's clean to give it's due. Not far to walk to and from car hire and terminal. Not in a hurry to return to this airport

Small airport. Hit and miss with long lines. It s a mix of TSA and over private contract security companies. They all have on the same uniform but patches will be different. They also have their own police force who have been extremely professional.

It was a fair bit cheaper flying Allegiant from Harrisburg to SFO, but we paid the price in overall anxiety. We arrived 1 hour prior to our flight, only to find a huge crowd at bag check and security. Apparently, Allegiant scheduled full flights every 5 to 10 minutes from 5:50am to 6:25am. Although check-in and TSA staff were trying their best to move things along, and they did expedite people based on their boarding times which was very nice of them, there were simply too many flights departing within too short of a timeframe; the facility was overwhelmed and bogged down. We, along with dozens of others, could do nothing but slog through lines and bite our nails. We got our flight after no less than 3 "final-final-final boarding call" announcements. I realize SFO doesn't have the power to make Allegiant HOLD THE FLIGHT if they know people are in line; however, they should work with Allegiant to schedule more staff if they are aware that many flights will be departing within a short timeframe.

Chose this airport to avoid chaos at Orlando International will not to again. Not staffed enough to handle traffic..What little food options are here do not have enough seating for those who are even willing to pay high prices. Wait little chaos we avoided we gain be double in terms of line waits and walking back and forth between food options to find them closed at 1pm or not enough seating ..line for cheeseburger place is back to securtiy checkpoint. By the way there are only 2 of us ..if you have a family avoid like the plague.

We use this airport whenever possible. It's easy to navigate, much less stressful than the bigger places. Staff is friendly, helpful and efficient overall. They are doing remodeling at this time, so some sections are roped off. Most flights seem to take off on time. It is definitely getting busier since the Corona crisis. Most people are wearing masks. It is required on Allegiant.
Restrooms are clean and in good working order.
Definitely recommend, and will use again.
