Perfectly located for destinations north of orlando

Airport is very dated. We grabbed a bite to eat in the terminal and sat down at a table outside the bar only to be told by the bartender it was seating for bar customers only. There were two people in the whole bar and like 30 or more tables. Was actually thinking of getting a couple beers and watching the tv after I was done eating but she changed my mind. Next time we will eat before getting to the airport since they don t need our business.

Quite small, managed to see all of the airport in 10 mins, but I don't mind that, it has a couple of places to eat but with the same menu?

Rental car prices more than 2x those at mco. $309 for a car i could get for $130 at MCO.
They apparently don't bother to recycle. No paper or bottle recycle bins in sight. I ended carrying my paper recyclables to my next destination. However is convenient.

Very clean! Friendly staff/TSA! Smooth running airport! Nice remodeling/construction enhancements

Small airport but things moved fast and efficiently. Was not too bad a drive to Universal Studios. Took about 40-45 minutes. We would fly in here again to miss the hustle and bustle of the main orlando airport.

Officer Miller of the airport police department helped my parents out during a medical emergency with my father. He was so kind, caring, helpful and wonderful

What a great little gem. This airport is so easy to fly in and out of. We found it rather quickly, the staff was very helpful, there isn't a lot of extra's here but there is different food places to choose from.

Literally the worst airport ever. Allegiant being the worst airline ever. Had to deplane after sitting there an hour. Watched a poor woman get discriminated against because of her appearance by an employee.
At 1:30 pm on a Wednesday they had no food court open. Everyone was starving. Never again.

Picked up my daughter for a 10 p.m. flight. Was chased out of the loading zone while waiting for her to arrive at curbside. I inquired about a cell phone waiting lot and was told it was near the entrance of the airport. I never saw any signs for it on the way in, and the security told me it was a dinky, tiny sign and that everyone misses it. I went back out to the lot, which was just a small gravel pulloff with a sign marked "......Memorial parking." Never did it identify the lot as a cell phone/waiting parking lot. It was very dark as it had no overhead lighting or identifying lights whatsoever. Quite honestly, it was spooky and I felt very uncomfortable parking that far out. I kept my doors locked for sure. Probably fine during the day, but at night it was very easy to miss and I didn't feel safe. No other complaints about the airport.

Allegiant worker, Cortney, was rude and lied about the issuance of gate passes. There must have been something about our look that he was not comfortable with because his coworker was willing. The manager, Jordan Bonilla, did his best to resolve the issue and was going to issue the pass, but it was too late. We waited so long that she was boarding the flight. We were denied the ability to sit with our daughter while waiting on her flight. We did not have this issue in Memphis, Fort Lauderdale, or Palm Beach airports. She will not fly into the Sanford airport in the future. The same employee never acknowledged his lie nor apologized.

Really liked the smaller airport. Wish I could fly onto it more often

Orlando Sanford is a small airport that has great advantages. So it is clear (terminals A and B) and wonderfully quiet. The staff are friendly, helpful and capable. There are also disadvantages: it is quite dated and the toilets "not really fresh". The walk (with luggage) to the car rental companies is tough.

One of the best Airports. Never supper busy. Not much for concessions nothing open. Yet.

This is the 3rd time using this airport. Easy to get to from Port Orange Fl. The drive takes about 40 min. I pulled into the airport drove to the rental car return. Dropped the car off strolled into the building, cruised through TSA, went right to my gate. Easy Peasy. The only complaint is the AC wasn't working so it was very warm sitting at the gate.

But Orlando Sanford Airport operates efficiently. Getting through TSA usually is pretty smooth and the flights seem to be mostly on time. Food choices are somewhat limited in the airport and I recommend packing a lunch if you will be spending any amount of time in the airport.

Construction is horrible. It's very confusing. And a worker yelled at me for not knowing federal laws at airports concerning parking/waiting. He should be fired, actually. Very rude.

SFB is an efficient bite-sized airport. Car rental return is just feet away from checkin lines and TSA check is just another few feet away. I'm flying into SFB from now on!

Ridiculously slow and hideously expensive. Outdoor smoking area now removed as well once past security, seems fine to discriminate against smokers in florida though.
Will not use this airport again.

System keeps freezing and have to restart to get each turn updated.

TSA was very unorganized, as well as lost my luggage. Thanks for ruining my vacation.

Nice small airport. Security is efficient and organized - usually flows pretty well. Layout is typical of a small airport. Taxi stand and rental car island is a reasonable walk from baggage claim. Staff is usually friendly and helpful. DOTS (Daytona to Orlando shuttle ) runs here enroute between the main Orlando airport and Daytona Beach.

My first time here and I really liked it ! it is a good size airport and is not too confusing =D

Small but a little busy... easy in and easy out. Really fast and convenient.

Parking was atrocious. For $13 a day parked in muddy grass field. Lines were confusing and if you followed the rules you would be in a line that does not move. TSA precheck was a joke. Let everyone in the line and then pulled you out for special check because wearing shoes. Almost missed flight although there well in advance.

Disappointed in lack of cleaning in both waiting area and dining area. Not seeing anyone around sanitizing the common areas and with flights heading all over I am surprised. Great ease of check in.

Very small airport ( only 2 terminals) but gets the job done. Does have a Starbuck, a few places to eat and a lounge (albeit lacking) inside one of the terminals. Also is a global entry interview location which is nice

I love this small simple airport. Generally we can check in and be through security in less than 20 minutes.

I would have given this airport 5 star except there is no phone parking lots once you leave the secured area. Once we got off the airplane and were coming downstairs to get luggage there were many people walking around looking for a place to charge. There needs to be charging station in the baggage area. On the plane we all drain our batteries watching movies. Not everyone leaves the airport immediately so a charge up would be great.
FYI: the only place there are plugs is by the tables right across from Starbucks. Claim your plug as quick as you can. Safe Travels.

Small airport. Flew in on Allegiant. Got our luggage quickly after exiting the plane. No tolls to the airport.

If I could give this airline a zero I would bad customer service at Starbucks the store manager Lisa was so rude and didn t want to refund my money because the food wasn t what I wanted. She told me I wasn t a customer when I paid $9.21 at Starbucks and she threatened to call security on me when I was just asking for a refund. Lisa is very unprofessional and don t need that position she s very childish and rude. Plus charging $1 for ice water. Not even mention the airport you have to takeoff your shoes to go through security that sucks or maybe in used to Indianapolis airport being the number one Airport in the USA. Orlando Sandford airport step it up!

No kiosk to print boarding pass. missed plane. Times were different than any other i have flown.

I just absolutely positively love this airport sure it is small but what they they lack in size they make up for in professionalism ease of getting in and out of the facility and they do have very good food options amenities are always clean the restrooms are always in top-notch shape the TSA agents are always friendly and they do a great job pushing you through and getting you to your plane absolutely cannot say enough good things about this Airport

It is ok to be a small airport. They have Starbucks and Cinnabon inside. It also isn't hard to know where ya going when there such as the cell phone lot.

Fairly quiet airport with a good overview. Terminal B for "domestic flights", terminal A for "flights overseas".

Baggage handling is nice and quick, the staff is very helpful and friendly, except for customs because it is just extremely strict here. Even the mints in a closed roll are checked

The only downside is the dated appearance and the dirty sanitary.

The airport was fine. But Alligent Airlines broke down on us 3 times on a flight from memphis to Sandford. They said the door wouldn't seal. We waited for 4 hours for our flight. 2 of them on the plane ! Then my daughter and grandbaby flew up and the same thing happened! !! Im flying home with them but i will never fly Allegiant air again !!! Cheap flights ! Broken down planes !!!

Airport is small, but functional. The Allegiant terminal was definitely an afterthought.

I prefer it. If you you've got the option, this is a sure bet for quality and efficiency. In and out in my experience.

Love the experience of flying into and out of Sanford. It's a small, quiet and well set out airport and a world away from the madness of the super-busy Orlando Intl. Staff are efficient and friendly. Car hire is close by and the airline helpdesks are easy to find. I'd happily pay extra $$$ for the opportunity to fly through this airport.

With the construction it was confusing as there want clear instructions indicating the exit route.

Ended up flying out of here Thanksgiving weekend.
First off, the TSA agents were extremely unfriendly and yelling at passengers in the terminal. Really put my trip to a bad start. The free Wifi here is terrible. I couldn't even get a speed test page to load.

The check point was effecient and friendly. Communication from TSA and passengers was spot on which made this possible

Remodeled, convenient, but outside is still under construction. Parking pay is now contactless and easy to manage.

Flying into and out of Sanford is easy! All signs are well marked and there's no searching for your connection. We like this airport due to the simplicity and flyer friendly atmosphere.

Great airport to fly out of with children. Clean, friendly & easy to navigate.

Nice small AirPort near Orlando. One of the big advantages is the fact that the car rentals are directly in front of the entrance.

Small and thus short distances to walk. Downside it is a longer ride to your hotel.

Easy pickup & drop off, security is quick and efficient.

The TSA agents there was the rudest I have ever came across. I was trying to empty the diaper bag and the agent just telling me to push things forward and then another agent about 1 min later was incredibly rude to my 6 year old son yelling at him to move over to where she wanted him and he got upset and was about to cry. They also had everybody board the plane at one time so ppl with strollers and wheelchairs were in with the ppl trying to move along with them. Wont ever be flying out of that place again, would rather fly into/out of orlando big airport.

Worst airport experience ever. Rude employees. Way understaffed. Over 2 hrs. Just to check bags. Ridiculous.

It was great, had a wonderful visit to the Trump get together and met some wonderful people.

When we flew into Stanford late Sunday night we had no issues but when we checked back in today the check in lady was very very rude while taking with us she proceeded to have an attitude other then that the ride was pretty smooth they got us there fast and safe and flight attendants were very awesome

It a small and easy going airport! You can skip the Orlando one. I d give it a 5 star but the Cinnabon employees were very rude and the other restaurant employee were very friendly and accommodating.

Merry Christmas to us! We arrived at the air port at 5:25 and waited in line. My mother was checked in and her bag was taken. By the time I got to the counter the lady was not sure how to check us in with the mobile app and asked for assistance from a manager. We were moved to a different part of the line. She fumbled with the computer for quite some time. She said the flight was closed and ask my mother if she was with us, then removed her from the flight as well as obtained her bag. She stated that we were late and the planes doors were shut at 5:35am flight leaves at 6:05. She stated the flight closes at 45 minutes early and we were too late. We have been charged $75 person and are not allowed to fly in to the airport where our cars is, so now we have to rent a car 2hours and 30 minutes away from our car. Obtain our car at that air port in Bloomington then drive home all on Christmas Eve. She was unhelpful and made suggestions like leave on Thursday or go buy another ticket. I am travel with my mother, son, and disabled sister. We took this trip to let my sister enjoy a few days at Disney, as she has heart failure and this may be her last Christmas. Adding this time and expenses for ($75 person to change flights when we didn t miss the flight) plus another rental car. We are now sitting at the air port from 5:25am until 1:00pm. We have no rental car and can not even go back to our hotel because we checkout. This situation could have been handle much better. Staff needs to be on the same page as well.

This airport is very small. The staff is very friendly! They don't rush your car through, there aren't extremely long lines. I would definitely recommend this airport if you don't want to deal with a lot of people and lines!!!!

I wish they had more flights from this airport. Great airport. TSA pre lane was closed because lines was very small. Highly recommend this airport.

1 Just asked a question where something was and I was rudely told you're in the wrong line and didn't tell me where to go
2 the tsa check didn't have any damn signs so there was one pointing to a line saying families and small children and then another, so I went to the other he yelled at me saying this is tsa pre check nothing else!
3 after being checked the security girl told me to go and pointed somewhere so I went to where she pointed and she said ma'am is that what I said I said go, as in your good to go
4 And then boarding the damn plane the lady said did i say to do that I said check to see if you have a carry on not to come up here to check to see if you have carry on.
I promise I will never fly alligant or this airport again!

Although it's always pretty tough to leave Florida I have to say that this is one fine smooth running airport. It is super easy to navigate due to great signage and a professionally trained entourage of people that are there to make your journey as smooth as possible. There are numerous shops, cafes and other eateries to wile away the time while you wait for your departures. The airport property is clean, safe and well lit for those late departures. As Always, Enjoy!

Quieter than most airports but lack of shops and very expensive

The worst immigration, customs and security staff I've ever encountered since years. Airport is not busy so the customs treat you as though you did something wrong, they took a lot of passengers including me to go through all my stuff as though they found something illegal but there was nothing. Also the private security staff that was there a couple years ago were very rude and they searched all my stuff all again. The rudest and most unprofessional airport staff I've ever seen. I fly a lot but nowhere in the United States or elsewhere I was never treated like this. Don't fly to or from this airport if you can.

As a frequent flyer I have experienced many airports and the TSA at this airport is by far the rudest of any place I have ever been and they always are not to mention they only ever have one security line open. Also a couple months ago my boyfriend boarded his flight and while in the plane still at the gate he relaxed he had forgot his hat a sunglasses and hat in the chair and told the attendants and called the airport right away and they were already gone and the staff told me lost items never show back up st this airport. Not worth the cheap flights to come here

The staff within the airport at self at Allegiant airport are above and beyond the Call of Duty and I applaud them!
However the parking Department and the people who set the rates for parking really need to revisit the fees they charge...
1. The parking fees Orlando Sanford International Airport fee are NOT justified for very limited the services they provide.
2. The lack of shuttle service.
3. Almost every time I have to walk OR I'll wait an excess of 30 minutes but a shuttle service never shows up. if they ever show up they're too busy lollygagging around talking with each other.
4. The prices they charge for such a substandard parking area and such a long distance you have to walk because you cannot be late (remember lack of lally gagging shuttles) . It's a long Trek from the parking lot to the terminal in the rain either that wait for the shuttle service if they ever show up.

Flew Allegiance airline out of this small but greatly efficient airport.

Omg... Dirty.. Scary..., You would never think you are in an American airport! I gave it 1 star as I can't give it less!

To start, we arrived two hours before departure. Yet, we barely made our flight. There were not enough people in the check baggage area resulting in an hour of waiting. To their merit, they did call passengers on flights departing shortly and pull them to the front of the line. It was frustrating for those who had been waiting, but thoughtful, which is where they earn a second star. If at all possible, I would not recommend checking a bag at this airport. Second, TSA was careless with our items, rearranging them after they had been loaded. They threw my personal items (jacket, shoes, wallet) out of the bin onto the belt resulting in the loss of my necklace. Overall, a horrible experience that left us running shoeless to be sure we caught our flight on time.

Love the alternative to MCO. No traffic, no crowds, no parking issues.

Allegiant staff was friendly enough, location is great, airport footprint is small and helpful.
The private security is atrocious; always understaffed, and generally rude. Security can't even be bothered to answer questions or be helpful. Bring back TSA.

This airport is very good. It is an alternative option to travel to Orlando area because is less busy than the MCO. You can find rental cars, Uber or Lyft rides. Also the parking lot is not to expensive. Allegiant is the Airline that flight out of Sanford and they have affordable ticket prices. Check it out and you will enjoy it.
