Orlando Sanford Int'l Airport Review

A nice airport a little out of the way but flew me home to Illinois and back for Christmas for under 250 dollars. Fast cheap and really great flight crew!

If you are traveling to Kissimmee or Lake Buena Vista areas, this airport is a one hour and 15 minute drive (minimum). More like 1 1/2 to 2 hour travel time without using toll roads.

Love this small airport. Friendly TSA workers. Food expensive but friendly associates

A great, simple airport! The inside has a groovy, 70 s feel.

I have been flying for 40 yrs . This airport is by has the worst management and systems in place. We arrive 2 hours prior every time and barely make our flight. You stand for hours every time. This my last time .never again.

Long term parking is very expensive. They do not prorate hours nor do they allow any off site competition.

Nice place to get a plane everyone is helpful and it seems you get throught quicker.

Great experience. Very clean place. By the time I got from the plane to the baggage area my luggage was there! I mean that never happens!

We have handicapped child that travels with them a lot and they take care of him very well thank you all very much

I do not fly every month , but when you park your car to go on 4 day trip and the shuttle picks you up to take you to airport, no one tells you about the app you have to download. Parking lot has Ticketless Parking... everyone was confused and not wanting to to exit gate hold up others. This payment process is not right!
Your car tag is recorded with cameras and no screen lets you know your total, it just ask for your credit card. No receipt given. No one is there to assist if something g goes wrong. 4 days =$70.00

Check in was very busy but they were still very quick and made traveling with a baby very easy

We've flown in and out of here for years! We love it...smaller airport...but staff is nice and they have a decent amount of food options for a small airport...i really recommend this airport.

I would like to personally thank the members of TSA at your location. They were so thorough during the body search of my elderly mother who has Ovarian Cancer. They took so long harassing this menacing threat in a wheelchair that she missed her flight. Her grandchildren feel so much safer knowing you took the time to ensure she was indeed, not a threat and we think it s great we get to lose a whole day and a half with our beloved family member. So, great job guys! You sure are keeping America great!

Going out of gate 2 on Alle giant. Really?? There is no gate 2-5 it just says R1. They announce waiting area for 1-5 are together for a 'll gates but no explanation to where gate 2-5 are. I have never seen such a mess!!

Is the worst airport I have ever been.
Our flight landed with 240 passengers on board
Waiting time to go through immigration police was 2 hours.
After 10 hour flights waiting 2 hours standing.
People feeling ill, sick, weak, some elderly and kids. Unacceptable.
There was 28 descs but only 6 descs was working.

i love the service and the enployees as they are very assistant ! i will be flying there for the 22nd time next week !!

Awful experience with poor facilities. The shops and food offering once checked in is very poor and so so expensive. If you are charging top dollar at least match it with quality and service. The place is dark and depressing and needs returning to the mid 90s.

Cracking little international airport.
Small which I think is good as you don't get lost or have to run miles to get your plane.
This airport may be small but it has all the facilities of a large airport and even free wifi while your waiting to board.
Have travelled via here four times and will do next time I'm in Florida

This is my 1st time being here.. It's super easy to navigate! & the security and check in were very smooth. I'd come here again!

For a small airport the lines at imigration are pretty long, we had to wait in line for over two hours

Absolutely ridiculous airport. Long slow lines. They charge $11 for a pre made sandwich sitting in a fridge , $22 for 3 tiny pieces of fish and won t let you put a tomato on your sandwich, burgers only. Absolutely pathetic. They should be embarrassed of themselves.

I loved watching these guys work. Very attentive and friendly. Dee and Pete make a very good team.

The Airport security employees at this airport are THIEVES!! Upon my arrival back home I found that 4 articles of my clothing were missing that had been in my suitcase prior to their Airport Security searching my bag. If you fly through this airport check to make sure all your belongings are still there. They took OVER 180 dollars out of my suitcase and when we called to ask about it was told that if it's not over 500 dollars they dont care. No airport should allow crooks to get away with this kind of stuff. Worse experience of my life and they will never get my business again!!! A BIG ZERO STARS ARE AWARDED TO THIS AIRPORT AND THEIR SECURITY (Google wont let you post a review without at least giving one star)

Racism is real at this airport.. experienced it from a TSA personnel.. stay away

Slow, confusing. Rude employees. No one knows what is going on! You can get through Orlando international more quickly.

HORRIBLE customer service at Allegiant counter and TSA.
Would give zero stars if possible.

This place should be shutdown. Allegiant is the worst airline, never will fly with them again. Check out a 60 minutes story done on them. Unbelievable!!

I've had great experiences each time I have flown both in and out of this airport. It's smaller than others but I feel it is in the benefit of it. Easy to get around, security doesn't take too long and its a nice clean airport.

Megan was awesome also over the phone. Super helpful!

I love flying out of this cozy Airport. What it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in ease of negotiation, check in and shopping for any last-minute necessities.

Smallish airport, though the gates are unusual. Gates 1-5 (sometimes called A1- A5) are grouped together upstairs, with one large seating area. Not the best I've seen (Appleton WI is about the same size and much more nicely laid out) but it gets the job done.

Only there to retrieve a lot at item. Construction there makes it difficult to navigate terminal.

Allegiant airlines, very poorly organized check-in. Had to check 1 bag and waited 1 hour because they where understaffed

This is quite possibly the weirdest airport I've ever been to, the best way to describe it, is that it's like a dieing mall that just so happens to have flights flying through it, coming in from terminal A gate 2 was like going through a maze, I walked through 7 doors in order to get to the actual terminal, I paid $3.52 for a Coke because there wasn't a price tag, it was $2 for it on the plane. If you have the option to, fly out of Orlando MCO, or Tampa.

They messed up our locations. The signs from the road and in the actual airport told us our flight was in terminal B. Then the people working told us to go to terminal A because that was where our flight was actually boarding. There was no apology for the mix up and the staff was also very slow and seemed uninterested. If they were pleasant and admitted their wrong, I would not mind at all. However, acting like we the passengers were ignorant was not befitting of a professional hospitality company.

I have flown through here several times... Small and convenient airport for Orlando, smaller than MCO so you are in/out much quicker. It's on the east side of Orlando so it's farther from Disney than MCO. Great staff and car rental companies. My preferred airport in Orlando.

Staff was rude. Got the run around 3 different times which resulted in me missing my flight and the airline not caring at all. No compensation. Couldn t even rent a car to drive home because they think they need a credit card which I don t have. So I was stranded for 4 hours at the airport with no help from the staff. Will not be flying here ever again. For my first flight, it was insanely disappointing.

A great little airport that flies directly to my hometown without the hustle and bustle of MCO!

I m sixteen, and went to Disney with my family. This airport was absolutely HORRIBLE to us. So rude and unkind.

Great new airport close to Orlando, limited flight destinations but very convenient and easy to get in and out of..

Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) is a fantastic airport I love everything about this airport it's just 25-50 min from Orlando and Allegiant has wonderful flights. Joel who works for Allegiant know all about the plane and all of Florida and all of Allegiant he is a man who loves helping people, Joel is fantastic! In the airport there are Starbucks, and other restaurants like sports bars, and a hamburger restaurant I like hamburgers where they are so delicious. I like Orlando and Daytona Beach. Florida offers a lot for us.

This is a fantastic airport! There are no long lines to stand in. Staff are friendly. Rental car rental and returns are easy. This airport is much less stress than Orlando International.

Very organized well run airport. We will definitely fly out of there again.

Sanford airport has the rudest and unprofessional TSA agent/human beings. You have a choice in the profession that you pick. If you don t want to deal with the public then find another job. There is no reason to yell at customers.

It's so much more convenient to go to a small airport.

Worst organized airport I've ever been to, TSA precheck Lane was closed. Mass chaos everywhere.

Because of it being a small airport, it was easy to get around to your flight or baggage pick up or curb side.

The flights in and out of this airport went smoothly. Easy layout, no problems finding your gate. Comfortable seating. A variety of shops.

I'm giving this airport five stars for the ease and convenience that smaller airports like this still hold. Of course there are fewer options for shopping and food, but the prices are no different than PBI or FLL. I would fly out of here again given that the walk to baggage claim and rental cars was a breeze. Drop off was a little confusing (parking lot signage etc.)

If your luggage is misplaced there is no way to call about it. The phone number for Allegiant and the airport do not work half the time. When they do work no one answers.

The airport was very clean, but TSA at Terminal B is confused about efficiency. While I understand the desire to move things along quickly, your culture of sarcasm does little to help the process. Barking orders at passengers while rolling your eyes and sighing is unprofessional.

Make sure to get there early and beat lines at security; went here once and they took 20 minutes, but this last time, maybe 2

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. There's enough food so that you can get what you need, but you don't get overcharged for there being too much stuff going on at that airport. I love flying out of here.

Friendly staff AND friendly TSA employees - the first of which is rare, the second of which is practically unheard of.
