Villa rooms of three plus were in the form of large apartments with all amenities provided. Cups, dishes, etc, were all available in the room. Villas of two or less were in the form of townhomes. The area has plenty to do and great amenities on site for all ages.

Location was good close (w/in 30 mins) to most attractions. Rooms were great. Very large and very clean. Hot water was good. Lighting in the room was plentiful. Staff, very informative. We will be spending the whole day here tomorrow so I may update....

Got a big room to ourselves for the same price as a hotel, but with two separate bedrooms, a patio, a full kitchen, and extras like multiple pools, two restaurants on premisis, etc. So close to Disney we could hear the fireworks last night.

DO NOT VISIT OR BUY FROM THIS RESORT!!

DO NOT VISIT OR BUY FROM THIS RESORT!!

I would give this resort a small shaded tip of a star if I could! As soon as we arrived in our room, there was broken shards of glass in the floor. Needless to say, this is very dangerous considering we had small children with us that were ready to run and explore the room after being in a car for 7 hours. We woke up the next morning to find that our car was broken into and the contents of our center console were all over the front seats. We let the staff know and, of course, all they did was apologize (for both incidents) and did not try to remedy the situations. If you want clean towels, you have to pay for them or wash them yourself.
Their restaurants automatically charge you 18% gratuity on top of their already ridiculously priced food for parties of 6 or more. This would not be an issue for me if 1) the service was worth the gratuity and 2) if 4 of the members of our party of 6 weren t children! The staff at The Marketplace was very rude and made it seem like the guests were an annoyance.
The resort will advertise free activities (because they make you pay for EVERYTHING), but beware! Even things on the list that were supposed to be free were not free. For example, the lazy river. My kids were so excited to experience it, but were not given tubes unless we paid $5 each! WHY IS IT ON THE LIST AS FREE IF IT IS NOT FREE!? Place an asterisk next to it and disclose the tube fee.
Finally, they made us attend a timeshare sales presentation where the salespeople were aggressive and rude if you did not buy into what they were selling. They don t offer you any numbers or terms in black and white. They write them in marker. NO WAY!! I do not trust that! Give me the contract in black and white and let me read for myself. I am not getting stuck with a timeshare! They throw around words like equity, deed and ownership to make you think you are purchasing something meaningful and you re not!! DO YOUR RESEARCH ON TIMESHARES before you buy!
Consider this:
1)If you are already a homeowner, look at your deed and notice it has your name and an address. What would a timeshare deed say!?
2) Equity is the value of your home and it means that your home is worth more than what you owe. You can t refinance a timeshare and receive cash out if you wanted to.
3) ownership... what exactly do you own in a timeshare? Especially with blackout dates and competing with other families for specific dates.

IM GOING TO EXPLAIN TO YOU EXACTLY HOW THIS PLACE WORKS SO THAT ANYONE TAKING THERE "NO OBLIGATION" TOUR CAN SAVE THEMSELVES THE HASSLE.

MY GIRLFRIEND AND I STAYED AT THE HOLIDAY INN RESORT WATERPARK ON CONTINENTAL GATEWAY DRIVE. DECENT PLACE BUT A BIT DATED. THERE IS A SMALL DESK TO YOUR IMMEDIATE LEFT THAT WILL TELL YOU THEY HAVE A "CHECK IN SPECIAL" FOR YOU. THEY WILL OFFER YOU A SELECTION OF GIFTS AS THEY CALL IT. THE REP WORKING THE DESK IS A SIGNUP ASSOCIATE WORKING FOR ORANGE LAKE RESORT. HE WILL FAST TALK HIS WAY THROUGH A SCRIPT AND THEN OFFER YOU FREE GIFTS, CASH, AND ORLANDO EYE TICKETS TO GO ON A 90 MINUTE PRESENTATION. A 40 DOLLAR DEPOSIT WILL BE TAKEN FROM YOU SO YOU SHOW UP. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LIE ABOUT YOUR MARRIAGE STATUS IN ORDER TO GET THESE GIFTS IF YOU ARE IN FACT NOT MARRIED. YOU WILL BE TOLD THE TOUR STARTS AT 7:30 THIS IS A LIE, OUR REP MET US AT 8AM. YOU WILL ALSO BE TOLD BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS IS ALSO A LIE YOU WILL BE GIVEN MUFFINS AND SODA AT ARRIVAL.

THE TOUR...

YOUR REP SPENDS ABOUT 60 PERCENT OF YOUR TIME ASKING YOU QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR INCOME AND YOUR LIFE. AFTER THIS YOU WILL WATCH A 15 MINUTE VIDEO. AND THE ACTUAL TOUR OF THE PREMISES IS ABOUT 10 MINUTES. THEY WALK YOU IN AND WALK YOU OUT. AFTER THIS YOU RETURN TO THE MARKETING BUILDING. YOUR SALES REP WILL ASK IF YOUR INTERESTED IF YOU SAY NO THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS.

YOUR THEN GREETED BUY YOUR REPS BOSS WHO LOWERS THE PRICE. HE WILL ATTEMPT TO FAST TALK YOU AGAIN. IF YOU SAY NO YOU ARE THEN GREETED BY A CLOSER WHO IS AGRESSIVE AND RUDE TO YOU. HE WILL AGAIN TRY TO SELL YOU AGGRESSIVELY. IF YOU SAY NO YOU ARE THEN TALKED TO AGAIN BY A WOMAN WHO CLAIMS SHE ISNT IN SALES. HER SALES TACTIC IS TO OFFER YOU A FREE STAY AT THE RESORT FOR A DEPOSIT WHICH YOU WILL GET BACK IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO BUY. SO REALLY RESORT STAY ISNT FREE IS ANOTHER CHANCE FOR THEM TO SELL YOU WHILE HOLDING YOUR MONEY HOSTAGE.

I HAD TO GET OUT RIGHT RUDE WITH THE 4TH SALES REP TO GET OUR GIFTS WE WERE OFFERED. WE WERE CALLED NAMES AND TOLD WERE RUDE PEOPLE WHO WASTES THEIR TIME AND SHOULDNT COME TO A SALES PRESENTATION IF WE WERNT GOING TO BUY.

BE WARNED!!!!

ORANGE LAKE IS WILLING TO BE DISHONEST ABOUT ITS SALES TACTICS. THEY CARE NOTHING ABOUT YOU OR YOUR TIME. OUR 90 MINUTE PRESENTATION WAS ACTUALLY 2 HOURS AND MOST LIKELY WOULD HAVE BEEN LONGER.

ITS A GOOD THING WE DROVE TO THE PRESENTATION BECAUSE THERE WAS NO SHUTTLE FOR US AFTER WE LEFT.

DO NOT RUIN YOUR VACATION BY GOING TO THIS PLACE. ITS AN OUTDATED TIME SHARE AND THEY ARE STRUGGLING TO STAY IN BUSINESS THATS WHY THEY OPERATE THE WAY THEY DO.

Whenever I'm here I enjoy myself. The villas are amazing as well as everything else on the resort. I can't wait to start using my points to stay in the owner suites. Anthony the alligator whisper is always a pleasure when he picks me up to checkout or takes me to my villa after checking in!

Very helpful and personable staff. Hotel rooms, condo-like suites and villas with individual driveways available. Kitchens are well equipped. Washers and dryers in each suite. Numerous pools, one with a free water slide. Waterpark on site, for an additional fee. Restaurants on site...including a breakfast buffet and a pizza restaurant with delivery service. The resort is in a great location, near plenty of familiar chain restaurants, as well as local flavors, like La Fuente Colombian and Venezuelan restaurant. Also near Walgreen's, Target, Walmart and Dollar Tree. A Publix grocery store is also down the street. Just a few highway exits away are all the major Orlando theme parks. My family loves staying at Orange Lake Resort. It feels like a home away from home.

Just returned from a 5 night stay. Was my 3rd visit since 2004, and by far the worst visit. They knew at the front desk I wanted to do the water sports, but never told me it closed at 5pm. Went over to ride the jet ski's on my only available date there and missed it because it rained till 5pm and it closed at 5pm which I thought it closed at 8pm like the pools. Hardly even able to use the pools due to lightening not visible, but on radar. I have a disability and asked to be moved to 1st floor because the elevator was not working, and they didn't bother to accommodate and I struggled for 6 days trying to climb those steps with the help of my adult children. Then the AC went out on us and we had a hard time sleeping because it was too hot in the room. Never again. This was the deal breaker for me. Brought my adult children with me and this place embarrassed me in front of them who wanted to rent an Air bnb.

First time big luxury rooms, with lots of amenities, this resort is like a small city
the only complaint I have hard to call for uber or left from your room due to the tight security and the GPS not bad thing but makes it hard
Therefore you have to get on the free shuttle and go to main lobby to get uber

This is the second time we stayed here. There are 4 sections to the resort. Each section has a pool and a restaurant. The best section is the island resort with the lazy river. Condos are incredibly large with full kitchens and showers for each room.

We stayed here with our 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. This place is aweasome. Better then Disney Resort. Thr reviews that we had read, we allmost didnt stay here. None of it was true no one harassed us and my daughter did tour and got 170 dollars. No hard sales. Place was amazing. And very affordable with big family. Our suite was very clean. Manager here was very nice. We had booked for pool side. Got a parking lot side. Next morning called and she moved us to pool. Beautiful resort. Will definitely stay here again. Staff was really good. Was a great experience.

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! The rooms stunk and the life guards would rather talk to each other instead of paying attention to the kids in the water. they make you put money down for a timeshare and then refused to give it back when you decline. Everything is over priced, not worth the time or money. Wish I could give zero stars.

This place is awesome for vacations! It's only 20-30 min away from all of the Disneyworld parks as well as Universal Studios. My wife and I stayed here for a week. The full size kitchens are awesome as well as the spacious living rooms. The jakuzi in the bathroom was so comfortable after a long day at the parks. The staff is very nice and helpful. It has a very nice golf course as well as a mini golf course. The pools and lazy river are heated. I would definitely stay here again!

Beware! Personal items stolen by staff members. When my family and I checked out of our room we began to travel back home. We were told that we could not get a late check out as someone else would be occupying that room. Approximately 30 minutes later we noticed that we left our new I pad in the room by running on the locator. We immediately called the hotel and was told that we could not return to the room but had to wait until housekeeping went in. I found this quite odd but the agent said that this was proper protocol. I called 2 hours later only to find out that no one entered the room. The agent said that they will send someone in and said that he would call me right back. Not only did I not receive a returned call we noticed that the I pad was moved and turned off. My wife and I called several times since and we have received conflicting stories from the hotel staff. A week has passed and I have yet to receive a call from anyone from the property regarding my " missing" item. Wfind filing police report with the Orange county police department I round out that I am not the first who's property all of a sudden came up missing. I think that this property has a theft problem. I was informed that this is common at this property because a substantial amount of people that stay here are tourist. It's a shame that your personal belongings are safer in the parking lots of the Disney properties instead of your hotel room. Please Beware!

One bed villa was very nice. Decorated nicely and updated, patio right off one of the pool areas, spacious bathroom, and in room washer/dryer (full sized). Kitchen was stocked with necessities. Pools are great and activities are plentiful.

The accommodation is set within a golf course 2 x 18 hole and 2 x 9 hole, the whole area of the complex is beautiful. There are several swimming pools to choose from including many places to eat. The villa rooms are very spacious with everything from. A filtered coffee machine to everything you require and more. Very clean and tidy well appsolutely spotless. The staff around the complex are very helpful and friendly. What can I say, you couldn't ask for more. You won't be disappointed. If you do get to visit all I can say is enjoy. Best wishes S

First of all the resort is beautiful, first class to say the least. Staff was friendly and the rooms where clean and comfortable. I would have rated my experience higher but we decided to take the timeshare tour and that left a bad taste. We were told the presentation would take 90 minutes of our time, it took 4 hours!! They will not take no for an answer and keep beating you up until you buy something. We were also trying to get on the road to get back home ahead of Hurricane Matthew and they knew that but they kept us there and continued to work us for ownership. Our tour guide was nice and informative and we liked her, just way to long, especially under the circumstances.

No chairs at any pool . One star because we are sitting here on the pool ledge at 10 Am w no chair!! Can't get a chair because everyone comes at 8am and takes up 10 chairs for their villa and nobody is sitting in them for hour's.

Haven t stayed there yet but I spoke to Ashley on the phone where she then proceeded to hang up on because my fire alarm went off. I apologized about it but that did not seem to matter. Not sure if I wanna stay here with my family anymore because of the customer service that was provided.

They nickel and dime the owners. Constantly trying to find a reason to get you back in front of a salesman even using misinformation. The maintenance costs are high. The resort itself is nice so rent and don't buy.

Amazing resort that has plenty of pool options, lazy rivers, golf courses, and restaurants. Have been coming to orange lake resort for the last 15 years and am constantly impressed with the level of cleanliness, friendly staff, and improvements/new areas. The rooms are nice but nothing special. The resort itself is huge with plenty to do.

I've been here 4 years in a row and I keep on finding new things to do. It's a great resort if you have children, lots of pools and other activities. The golf courses are well maintained and challenging, reasonably priced for the area. I have only stayed in a 2 bedroom bungalow unit. They have plenty of room for 6 people to enjoy comfortably.

Great

Got a really out dated room, the entire place is way too big and pieced together.Nothing is in walking distance unless you get the river's edge witch is the newest section. Not a true family resort. Won't be back

Even though we're owners at a different location, we had to attend an "owners tour" where they spent nearly two hours trying to convince us to get a higher membership package.
Ofoma (sales guy) asked how much we spent on eating out; when I gave him an estimate, he said "it's probably a lot more than that" and looked at me. He insulted our intelligence multiple times by stating "you probably dont understand what I mean", "do you get it now?", and "if you'd talk to a financial advisor they'd tell you I'm right". We informed him numerous times that when we bought our timeshare (Dec. 2016) we agreed not to change anything until my boyfriend and I each got our promotions. He didn't care about that...he basically kept calling us foolish for wanting to wait until we had more expendable income.

He gave us about 6 times to discuss amongst ourselves even though we adamantly said no, we weren't increasing our payments today but had every intention of doing so in the future. His kind and very customer service oriented demeanor went out the door once he FINALLY accepted that we weren't going to do this.

It wasn't a pleasant experience at all. If fighting off vultures each time we use our timeshare is going to be a common occurrence, we may just sell our timeshare as soon as possible and recommend you reconsider before buying in.

We wasted an entire day of Disney time because we had to set aside time for this.

This place is absolutely the best!!! The apartment we stayed at was amazing, amazing view, nice to walk around with the kids, resort stuff were friendly too, super easy to book, the pools are amazing they have one specific for the little ones, my son did not want to leave! Def a really good place to stay with the family would recommend it to anyone and def will stay there again next time we go to orlando

First let me say this resort is beautiful however upon our arrival while down at the lazy river, it was dirty. Bandaid in the pool, people leave there drinks and lime slices anywhere! Found multiple drinks left along side the lazy river. Plus the water was very dirty. Our 2 bedroom villa smelled like must so bad we had to be moved to another building. The resort people are very very nice and accommodating very pleased with the staff service. Could be more on keeping the pool areas clean. We are owners and come every year this has been our worst experience which wasn't bad but needed some addressing which the staff did here promptly and with out attitude or hassle. Also another disappointment was not being able to have an early apt to do the upgrade tour the people who run that are very rude and not accommodating which they have nothing to do directly with the resort. Still should have tried to help is instead of being rude.

Service was very good. Transportation was one thing I found somewhat lacking. We flew into Orlando and did not have personal transportation. Resort is to large to walk to pools, restaurants and entertainment areas. The shuttle stop closest to our Villa was about a third of a mile walk. Our grandchildren (4 & 5) loved the pools and the children's activity center. Craft activities were reasonably priced and attendant was very friendly and patient with the girls.

I have stayed at Holiday Inn at Orange Lake- West Village 3 times so far. We loved going to Breezes to eat with the kids. The kids like to order food from the kids menu. The regular food is great. We also love the newly remodeled arcade room. The only thing we miss is getting to enjoy the resort. We usually have prepaid park tickets which makes it hard for us to take time to enjoy the pools and other areas. We always look forward to going back to Holiday Inn at Orange Lake- West Village. We will be back again to enjoy Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land.

Room is nice.. west side is very crowed with a lot of traffic. Be patient with drivers as many people do not signal or stop at the corners. Pool is great. Over priced for the on-site activities it should be free. They make you do a sale presentation for 3 days for 4 people for Mini golf and tubes for free. But really pay for the pool slides? Good service friendly people.

This resort is awesome - When you want to relax. Don't plan on staying sane if you visit the pool. There are kids galore and water goes everywhere. If you don't believe me, just walk by the lazy river and you'll find out the hard way.

The apartment complex is very well kept up with. I've been going for a couple years and I've never had a problem with anything... I just wish I had a bigger fridge, but that's just me.
