Beware! Personal items stolen by staff members. When my family and I checked out of our room we began to travel back home. We were told that we could not get a late check out as someone else would be occupying that room. Approximately 30 minutes later we noticed that we left our new I pad in the room by running on the locator. We immediately called the hotel and was told that we could not return to the room but had to wait until housekeeping went in. I found this quite odd but the agent said that this was proper protocol. I called 2 hours later only to find out that no one entered the room. The agent said that they will send someone in and said that he would call me right back. Not only did I not receive a returned call we noticed that the I pad was moved and turned off. My wife and I called several times since and we have received conflicting stories from the hotel staff. A week has passed and I have yet to receive a call from anyone from the property regarding my " missing" item. Wfind filing police report with the Orange county police department I round out that I am not the first who's property all of a sudden came up missing. I think that this property has a theft problem. I was informed that this is common at this property because a substantial amount of people that stay here are tourist. It's a shame that your personal belongings are safer in the parking lots of the Disney properties instead of your hotel room. Please Beware!
