They don't have free breakfast and the spa is a rip off
place was amazing, Very family friendly Where are some of the greatest staff I've ever seen any motel or hotel it's right on the beach ocean views not a better place to stay.
This Is hotel is not worth the money. They never cleaned my room even after requested to have ot done early. There was no sign on the door , nor was the do not disturb light was on. When I called , they said they forgot.
That was it , they did not apologize.
This hotel is a waste of money.
Loved the 8th floor ocean view. Pelicans flying by. The beautiful sun rise in the morning. Just sitting on the balcony & listening to the waves crash against the sand. It is so relaxing.
valet takes for ever and is so ANNOYING is also mandatory and costs money rooms are soooo small there literally no room never again
Good massage for a spa like price. Needs shower hooks for robes and towels in or near shower. Ian is very good!!!
Only walked passed the hotel and it looks very elegant. I was telling my husband that we should get a room here for the weekend.
I have stayed at One Ocean several times in my life and I am 40 years old. Every stay was fabulous. My husband and I took a last minute getaway last weekend without kids and could not get a room at one ocean so we decided to at least grab a drink at the bar. I asked for a house merlot and my husband got a Miller Light in the Bottle. Our tab was $26.00. That is outrageous for what we got. I don t normally post negative reviews but if this is what they charge for ppl not staying there it is sickening. Hopefully this doesn t change mine nor my husbands future opinions about staying there bc I really love the environment. Do they really charge more for customers not using their facilities? Sad and upset customer.
Full service if you want it abd the staff is awesome and friendly. Lots of entertainment, shopping within walking distance
Was in town for a business meeting and golf event and stayed here. The hotel was conveniently located right on the beach which allows direct access to a not to crowded beach. Directly across the street from the hotel is a little downtown area with restaurants, bars and shops which can give you things to do outside of your room.
The hotel itself was very nice. Navigating the 2 elevator system could be cumbersome if you have a lot of luggage but once that's out of the way you can always walk up the stairs to get to the main lifts. The rooms were decent size but beds were comfortable and they offered nice bathroom products. Showers had good pressure as well. The complimentary coffee in the morning as well as steam press for garments show they take the details seriously which I like. I didn't get to the spa but it appears that is popular. The hotel also has 2 restaurants and a bar in the back which was a nice place to go after the long day. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
All in all a nice stay and I'll be back.
I cannot believe the customer service of this place. I cancelled a reservation 15 min after I made it and it s taking 60 days to refund my money. Two months for a refund is absolutely unacceptable!!! I will never give this place my business.
Very nice hotel. Pretty view. Beach was lovely. It's in a great area with shops. The spa was incredible.
Worst case of fraud ever. Such a shame, beautiful, would have loved to go back. Too many things wrong to list, but in short, their loss.
This place is one of the best kept secrets in Neptune beach. Amazing hotel, service, food, and staff. Great ocean views
Do not understand the appeal of this place. Rooms were mediocre, borderline dingy. Bed was not comfortable. TV/internet was constantly going in and out. Restaurant menu was grossly over-priced. About the only positives were the friendly front desk staff and proximity to the beach and decent restaurants. Overall, would not recommend if you can find something else.
Great hotel and fantastic view. Staff is beyond courteous. Yes the bathrooms are incredibly small. Food is good. Drinks are better! Took my brother from Ohio there since he came down to check on me after a health issue. He enjoyed his stay, so that was most important. There was a discrepancy on the bill (between online and actual price). The receipt said it was fixed but my bank account said no. Also I left my favorite sweater there and thought they would send it, but they didn't. .
Took my parents here for a mini vacation. Nice spot, beachfront, warm water. The only 2 things that made me go "that's different" was there was no trash can nor microwave. Everything else was fine.
Really an excellent hotel and you can t beat the location right on the beach.
Only reason I put 4 stars is because it is valet only parking at $30/day and the resort fee is another $45/day. Very spectacular but very expensive hidden costs.
So, we booked our stay here through Priceline. We have booked other places through Priceline before, and it s never been an issue. We DO read the terms, and we DID read the terms for this hotel. It said we will need to present a credit card at check-in for incidentals . Okay. That s totally normal. Most hotels do require a credit card to be on file. So our trip started last Sunday. We arrived at the hotel, went to check-in, was informed the total will be $425. Um, this was very confusing because we had already paid for our stay. We then learned in addition to paying for your stay, there is a $25/day resort fee AND parking is $25/day per car. (And you really don t have an option as far as parking goes.) Then, there s like a $200 hold on the card for ACTUAL incidentals.
I have looked on the actual hotel website, and it does very VAGUELY talk about a resort fee and parking fee in the FAQ section.
So deceptive. Yes, it s a beautiful spot, but nobody wants to think their vacation is paid for just to find they have to pay hundreds more when they get to the hotel.
And, someone may reply to this and say something like we re sorry... it clearly states... it does NOT clearly state. If you look very hard, you can find something about the fees, but it is NOT clearly stated, and it isn t stated at ALL on Priceline. We talked to other people while there who were also upset about this same thing, and I ve now read many other reviews of people complaining about the same thing. (I m an idiot for not doing that sooner.)
Anyway, if something was stated so clearly, there wouldn t be so many complaints about it. Do better.
Impressive lobby. Wish I had seen more. Very nice.
Nice Oceanfront hotel. Very nice for the locale, however lacks the exceptional service, facilities, variety of dining and amenities to rate it any higher.
Convenient location for some.
Falls short of goals and expectations.
Great place for a quiet rendezvous!
From the time we arrived, until the time we left, we were treated like royalty. The attention to detail is very apparent...the room and facility extremely clean ....service second to none. If I could add stars I would.
Overall, my wife and I had a good time. It was nice that we could bring our chihuahua, and she enjoyed it. It did cost an extra $70+/night, but she is worth it. Just be prepared if you travel with your pet. I guess that, to me, is not really "pet friendly" as they claim. It was not like she got an extra bed and bottled water.
Also, be prepared to have a lot of $1 bills in your pocket, because they try to do everything for you. Including coming into your room when you step out and turning on your radio with ocean sounds. It really bordered on creepy.
Now, I know when you are at a spa, you kind of expect to be pampered, but my wife and I felt it was a bit too much. I mean, who does not like to be pampered? But come on...entering my room after I check in, and before I check out, unless I specifically request it, is enough.
I am one who would turn down turn down service if asked, but here we got it anyway, and maybe I am just not used to "spa treatment".
Overall, the people were really friendly, and now that we know what to expect, we would have a few requests when we stayed, but if you are looking for pampering, then you will love this place.
I assure you, this is not a negative review, just want you to know exactly what to expect.
Was very professional. My fiance and I visted with the sales coordinator and jaime was very professional we see a future wedding there for sure!
Perfect location, kind staff members, clean rooms, easy beach access with complimentary beach chairs.
Unfortunately, the trip ended with disappointment. On our last morning we decided to take our young kids back down to the pool for a swim before leaving. When we arrived noone was in the pool yet as it was around 9am. I looked at the pool and noticed white spots that covered the entire top of the pool. I then saw a huge glob of bird poop and realized the whole pool was covered with a bird poop film. I told my kids to wait while I shared this with the staff. I went to the front desk to let them know and they said they would take care of that. So our family decided to step out to the beach and enjoy and wait. When we got back about 40 minutes later, still noone had cleaned it up. I thought I was overreacting but at this point other moms had taken notice and kept there kids out. All of us were pretty confused how a resort that we were paying a $35/nt.fee didnt automatically clean the pool. I then found a staff member by the pool and asked him about it. He didnt know about it and I showed him the pool. He seemed shocked and said that he was going to get someone to clean it right away. 30 more minutes later...still noone in sight to just clean up bird poop. By this point we made the decision to leave and head back up to our room to pack since we had to check out about 1 hr from then. As we were leaving the pool I noticed 2 boys under 10 who were swimming right next to the big glob of poop. If swallowed this can really make someone very sick. So I went back to the front desk to just let them know that the poop was still all over the pool and now kids were swimming right next to it. I shared how disappointed we were that although we were paying a $33/nt resort fee we didnt have the chance to fully enjoy our stay because of this. My children were very upset and disappointed, like all kids would be. I also let them know that I noticed this white film on the other days we were in but it was in the corner of the pool and in just thought it was sun block...now unknown that it was bird poop the whole time. Yuck. Although I shared this the lady just proceeded to help me check out but offered nothing to make up for this nor did she take off any discounts or anything. I was a little surprised honestly. But now I'm voicing this because it seems they just did not care about it at all even though its disgusting and is a health concern. They really need to have someone each morning just take a net and clean out the pool prior to opening. All it takes is a baby, toddler, or even older child to swallow the water with poop and develop a terrible sickness. I expect this from motels but not a resort charging a fee. Overall the hotel was great for everything else even though we felt parking was way overpriced $28/night! We enjoyed our time there but hope they can figure out a better system to keep the pool clean.
The level of service was top notch from valet, check in and my room with an ocean view. The hotel is centrally located to many great restaurants which are walking distance. I will definitely be back.

Stayed here for a date night and hit up some local restaurants and bars. Hotel has nice bar and room was not huge but clean with great bed. Would stay again and recommend.
Great place with an exceptionally accommodating staff.
I'm staying here for a conference and it is a very luxurious location. There are employees who open your door for you once you arrive and someone meets you to give you your room keys. A few minutes after we got settled in our room another employee came to the room to offer any help or services to make sure we were doing well. So the service is phenomenal. The pool is a little small, but not usually crowded, and the beach is directly behind the hotel. The area around the hotel has plenty of great restaurants and bars as well, so it is very conveniently located.
Had the most delicious meal at Azurea ! The presentation was amazing and our server Brittany went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect! Can t wait to come back!!
If you want to stay at nice hotel in the Jax Beach area this is a beautiful oceanfront hotel . Managment and staff are all first class.
Staying at One Ocean was an amazing stay to celebrate my wedding annivesary. We had an ocean front suite with stunning views. We live in the area, but it made all the difference being waited on and taken care of by the staff at One Ocean. Every one was incredibly friendly and professional. We also treated ourselves to a Couples Spa Package, which was SO LOVELY! We will definitely be coming back. If you are looking for a 'top of the line' resort to stay at, go to One Ocean :)
Very nice venue, but for a conference the hotel seemed to lack on bathroom capacity and internet speed.
This is a very nice establishment. It is centrally located with great views of the Atlantic Ocean accompanied by well trained staff. I highly recommend visiting for both business and pleasure.
A totally impressive experience from checking into our room through the valet, dinner at Azure, and umbrella service on the beach; it was all very nice. Our dog's very comfortable bed and bowls (with a welcome treat) were ready for her. I enjoyed the beach umbrella service too. We would not go outside until 2:00 and the service would not take the umbrella until you went inside which for us was close to 7:00. I would highly recommend this resort.
Not cheap but as far as top class hotels go, this is it right on the beach with a martini bar and restaurants. Pride of Jax Beach.
One Ocean is a beautifully historic resort nestled by the water on Atlantic Beach. It peaceful, tranquil, and the staff are exceedingly friendly and accommodating. The hotel offers a fine dining experience, and there are plenty of great places to eat within walking distance.
The property is pristine and well kept. The bartenders are friendly and the bellmen are too.
The rooms are great and they even throw in snacks in case you get the midnight munchies and don't want to go downstairs, so that is a plus on the side of convenience and customer service.
Overall, if you stay here... you won't regret it.
Very nice resort. Staff were friendly and courteous. Room was clean and pleasant. Bed was very soft and comfortable.
It is a graet place. We loved it. Really clean and so pretty
The facility was immaculate and everyone we met was very friendly. The pool service was awesome and the drinks Ricky kept coming were very tasty. We went to the beach and Stephen S put out our chairs was so friendly and helpful. Answered all our questions promptly. I would most definitely stay here again. A luxurious and restful day at the pool and beach was a wonderful birthday treat from my best friend Ellen.
My experience with One Ocean is nothing short of 5 stars. The booking and check in process was very smooth, personable, professional and clear in explaining and presenting the added amenities. This excellent resort is located in the heart of atlantic beach and neptune beach right on the water. Plenty of sightseeing, gift shops, and restaurants within walking distance. However, if you dont feel like walking, the resort provides beach bicycles for your ultimate pleasure. The Restaurant within the resort is very elegant, fulfilling and inviting. The Spa + pool and work out facility are an added bonus. The level of service, quality, professionalism and courteousness on behalf of One Oceans staff is top notch and best in the area. My family and I will certainly be back next time we are in town
A nice hotel but a bit overpriced with over $50 per night fees (resort fee & valet parking fee) added onto what is already an expensive room charge. The best part about the stay was being able to walk to dinner every night at one of the nearby restaurants.
Nikk and staff have gone above and beyond to make our wedding/honeymoon special. They even upgraded our room as a wedding gift
Beautiful place. Very clean beach, no seaweed. Room is very nice, free water and snacks. Will stay again
The location and the first-rate staff were amazing. We celebrated the New Year and my wife's 50th birthday, so it was important to have a memorable time. It started with the valets Jake, Luter, and Michael. They made us feel welcome and quickly retrieved our car with a smile and good ideas about the area. The front desk staff was amazing and very responsive. Nikk would listen to our nightly run-down of our bar and restaurant itineraries and adventures. He was fabulous. Zora was our housekeeper, and although we are in Chinavirus protocol, she made sure we were stocked daily with the accruements necessary for a great stay and made a special visit to wish my wife a "happy birthday" in two languages! Our room was amazing, as it faced the Atlantic ocean, and sported a roomy balcony! Great stay, can't say enough about it. Highly recommend!
Great location- could use brighter decor as it is dark and the menus are hard to read. I needed a sweater for warmth. Service staff is 10/10.
Beautiful rooms, great staff. Awesome bellhop service. Finest place in Jacksonville
We had an amazing stay - check in was a breeze, even though we forgot to pre-register, it took less than 4 minutes - the staff at this hotel is professional and caring, we received top service with welcoming smiles - everybody wore masks in the common areas and staff continuously sanitized the common areas throughout the day and evening - our room was clean and beautiful with a very comfy king size bed, a desk that also functioned as a dining table with 2 chairs, ideal for private in room dining, to my wife's delight there was also a beautiful chaise lounge for reading - in the mornings we enjoyed our in room coffee, watching the amazing sunrise from our private balcony - the beach side service was excellent and the hotel pool provided a refreshing relieve after a hot day at the beach - we enjoyed the large variety of small shops and restaurants within walking distance - there are no other large hotels in the immediate area, therefore the beach was never crowded - the One Ocean Resort and Spa is large enough to fully satisfy the need of the discriminating traveler and at the same time is able to provide the personal touch to make you feel welcome and at home - we will definitely be back
Great place to spend the night or two. Great beach and wonderful staff. The beds were okay and so was the view. All in all I would recommend and stay again. Some good restaurants nearby as well.
Very comfortable beds, great service and clean beaches
One ocean was super clean and classy. The hotel was very accommodating and made sure to make us feel special as we celebrated our engagement.
Fantastic service. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was great. We will definitely be back.
Stay at this resort on my vacation I really enjoy myself I can't want to go back!!! I experience awesome customer by far
Pros...Had a great time. Loved the Spa. A little disappointed in no hot tub for couples. Only one in ladies spa. Was told that they would NEVER have one. So, not sure why, hopefully that will change. The restaurant was fabulous! The food portions are plenty to get full but not wasteful. Rooms were nice, a little smaller than I thought, but nice.
Cons...Had a hate letter slipped under the door that we were smoking. Funny thing, my husband has been a non smoker for two years. We believe it was the neighbor but we still got warned about a smoking fee. We had to have the manager inspect the room before we left at our request so we would not be unfairly charged the fee.
That was the only disappointing thing however, all else good. We will go back.
Good breakfast.
..
For its cozy environment, excellent service, good treatment and good prices
We are here now and this place ah-mazing! Everyone here has been extremely nice and the customer service is beyond fantastic! We have finally found a wonderful beach vacation spot! We have endless snacks and drinks in our rooms! The room itself is just beautiful and spacious. We are having a wonderful time! Please give this place a try you won't regret it!
The front desk lady that checked us in and out was not super friendly. The pool chairs were not very comfortable with several bars across the back and legs sticking out. The pool area and cleanliness of the pool was less than ideal in comparison to the rating of 4 star resort. The drink prices at the pool bar are quite overpriced for the size and additional 22% gratuity! Cleanliness of the room and and appearance of the furniture was not great. Overall quite underwhelmed regarding our stay. Very glad we got a good price during Covid, otherwise I not worth it.
Beautiful hotel with courteous staff right on the beach in Jacksonville. However, it is not close to Amelia island resort which is an average of 50 minutes away.
Great location!
Very clean and upscale.
Really great rooms, almost too much service but can't complain there. Super nice hotel in every sense. Definitely recommend
My wife and I had our wedding here!! Best experience of my life. Best hotel in all of Jacksonville period and right on the beach! 5 stars
I love staying at One Ocean. It is such a relaxing place, even though the location is in quite a busy area. The amenities especially the beach area are great, the views are gorgeous, the hotel is spectacular, location perfect with everything right there. The hotel dinning is exceptional, but most of all the staff are so friendly and always willing to accommodate. I highly recommend staying here.
this is a special place, if you have a dog is the place to go.
Top of the line stay!! From service, room, view, and amenities, this place is awesome! What a beautiful view and room as well. My husband and I got married out back on the beach and a perfect place to stay to accommodate our special day.
Very clean rooms and grounds. On the beach. Super nice staff.
The entire stay was incredible. The room was so clean, beautiful. We ate at the restaurant and the lobster roll was the BEST I have had in my life. The staff was SO friendly and accommodating. David Mariotti, the manager was the most gracious, amazing person to work with. I CAN NOT say enough about our stay. Everything was above par for hotels I have stayed at. Will be back every single time!!!!!
Very nice resort. Lots of amenities. Outdoor pool and large beach
Beautiful property & awesome location. My daughters loved our stay.
I had a wonderful spa experience at One Ocean recently. Ariana gave me one of the best massages I have ever had! On top of that was the view overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, while sipping a complementary glass of champagne in the lounge area. I look forward to my next Spa experience at One Ocean!
First time eating at one ocean for breakfast. Not only was it incredible but the service from GLEN was amazing!
Great selection of craft cocktails and great ocean view!
The service was impeccable, from the valet at the entrance all the way to welcome staff on our floor. The room was clean, beautiful and confortable. I rarely sleep well on hotel beds but this time, I slept like a baby. The area is perfect, it's on the beach and there are various eating options all around it. Obviously, all this comes at a hefty little price but totally worth it.
Great restaraunt, clean quiet hotel room, nice staff. Didn't even hear the crazy storm outside. We will be back.
