So, we booked our stay here through Priceline. We have booked other places through Priceline before, and it s never been an issue. We DO read the terms, and we DID read the terms for this hotel. It said we will need to present a credit card at check-in for incidentals . Okay. That s totally normal. Most hotels do require a credit card to be on file. So our trip started last Sunday. We arrived at the hotel, went to check-in, was informed the total will be $425. Um, this was very confusing because we had already paid for our stay. We then learned in addition to paying for your stay, there is a $25/day resort fee AND parking is $25/day per car. (And you really don t have an option as far as parking goes.) Then, there s like a $200 hold on the card for ACTUAL incidentals.

I have looked on the actual hotel website, and it does very VAGUELY talk about a resort fee and parking fee in the FAQ section.

So deceptive. Yes, it s a beautiful spot, but nobody wants to think their vacation is paid for just to find they have to pay hundreds more when they get to the hotel.

And, someone may reply to this and say something like we re sorry... it clearly states... it does NOT clearly state. If you look very hard, you can find something about the fees, but it is NOT clearly stated, and it isn t stated at ALL on Priceline. We talked to other people while there who were also upset about this same thing, and I ve now read many other reviews of people complaining about the same thing. (I m an idiot for not doing that sooner.)

Anyway, if something was stated so clearly, there wouldn t be so many complaints about it. Do better.
