My son drove down from Indiana to give me a week long birthday celebration at this fabulous resort. What a wonderful experience I had. The rooms are clean and luxurious. Ate everyday from the restaurant where the food was delicious and cooked perfectly to order. All the staff was gracious and kind, but specifically Debra, who took my lunch order everyday, is awesome! She was friendly and patient with this old birthday girl. Thank you Debra for making my 64th birthday the best ever! Maybe next visit we can meet in person.

Beautiful hotel, however we were surprised to realize our room smelled like cigarette smoke when we left the first time. When we came back subsequent times, the room smelled more and more like cigarette smoke. We alerted the staff who only offered us inconvenient solutions. We didn t feel we should have been inconvenienced by someone else breaking the rules. They eventually removed a very small fee from our bill, but seems inadequate from a 4-star hotel.

It's a Very nice establishment and looks visually appealing. The hotel definitely stands out from the rest of the buildings in the general area. All of the staff seemed to be pretty friendly and it seems to be a pretty happening place. When you go there you instantly feel as if you AR in a high-class establishment. The drinks are a little expensive, but are very well made and that is to be expected. I would recommend this place if it is Something that suits your budget.

My husband and I spent the weekend here and had a great time. They have friendly staff, great beach access with chair and umbrella rentals, and clean rooms. It was walking distance from everything we needed. The only negative is there was no microwave in our room.

The stay was great! The area is great! But has to have rudest customer service on the planet! We have stayed here several times, I guess it s great until there is a problem on your credit card!

Here with our young kids, rooms and bathrooms are small. Yes, we plan on enjoying the beach but $30 buck resort fee..for what? You must pay for beach chairs at $15 a piece, pool is NOT heated, no hot tub, the kids club is no longer in existence (but still advertised), we had some bottle waters, coke and juice,One snickers, chips etc..so that is what your paying $30 for. I will make sure my kids eat that much a day. No balcony, not able to open window. Not sure what a docent service is as I have noticed nothing different than a bell hop so far. I will update this if things changes but would not stay here again for these prices.
Update :after resort read this review the docent called me on Tuesday (we checked in Sunday), asked what we wanted stocked in room and offered free to beach chairs for next day. Also reported pool temp was increased. Our room was stocked with snacks galore! But.... Wednesday... Back to normal, back to little snacks stocked (even though I called desk twice), beach chairs were not reserved and people had no idea what we were talking about, never saw or heard from docent. You do get coffee delivered daily so if that is worth $30 bucks a day plus $30 bucks to park, go for it!

I just want to let everyone know that the entire staff (Danny , Sarah , Christie and Ryan) at the front and back bars are the best .. Always going out of their way to provide the best service possible..

Went for a weekend-long girl s trip and had such a lovely time. The staff was friendly and speedy. Couldn t have asked for a better location or service.

dont go expecting a spa, loung or bar area. everything is shut down and all the staff was let go without warning

It was ok a 2 day stay, the room found two things wrong, the shower door seal was broken causing lots of water on the floor had to use lots of towals for drying floor. 2nd the cabinet door for the cooler was broken, everthing else was ok.

Been here 4 times. We love it. It's a wonderful paradise.

I stayed at One Ocean Resort & Spa for a quick weekend away with my wife and it was perfect. We went out to dinner at Taverna in San Marco on Friday night and then spent the whole day on Saturday on the beach and enjoyed some really good pizza at V's on the beach for dinner. The only thing that was not so good was the fact that it was raining a lot (not their fault) and bugs love to come inside so beware to leave the sliding glass door open during rainy/humid weekends.

Deluxe view room is a joke. Looking at a rooftop and AC. Stand with your face against the window you can see part of the beach. Overpriced.

The entire facility had a problem with hot water in the morning, but it was resolved in a few hours.

COVID-19 limited some services, but hotel remains as one of our favorites.

was very happy me and my wife went for our anniversary and had such a good time stayed an extra 2 nights the restaurant was delicious the view was amazing the mandatory valet parking was little aggravating like to go when I want but that wasn't a huge deal the made us feel very welcome and the staff and spa was amazing thank you for a very wonderful anniversary

on February 16,2017 I booked with this resort for a one night stay but due to something coming up I called back if not that same day the next to cancelled my reservation in which I was told it was cancelled only to receive a reminder email of my up coming stay with this resort on 2/23 /17??? I then called the resort to inform them of the email I received. The problem is that if I'd never received the reminder email I would've been robbed out of 366.76 which is very upsetting to me. The fact that the mangers Brittany North and Amber refused to acknowledge that one of there employees fell to do there job is nerve wrecking. manager Amber informed me she cancelled my reservation on 2/23?? which is the date i got the reminder letter and funds would be back in my account on 2/24/017 in which they are not is very disturbing. Its seem'd like a great idea to book with this hotel but after this i'm just not sure anymore. If i can't trust you how could I dare EVER BOOK here again.... Here we come Vegas!!!!

Nice little bar in the back of the hotel. Small and kind of intimate setting. Food is pretty good, but it does take a long time for it to come out. Cheese plate took 30 minutes. Not sure why it is so hard to arrange cheese on a plate.

Sitting in the lobby for the last 45 minutes. Took 30 minutes at the front desk to check in. Then after changing our room twice on us, gave us a room that wasn t even ready and it s 3:15pm. So now asked us to wait even longer. Just horrible customer service. Manager has been unhelpful as well. The hotel may be pretty but the customer service is clearly lacking.

Amazing weekend getaway. The hotel is beautiful! Friendly staff from the smiling valet when we arrived to the sweet young man on the beach helping with chairs and umbrellas. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. You could tell extra cleaning processes were in place. Someone always wiping down elevator buttons, handrails etc. Our room was nice and cool and immaculately clean. Everything we needed was there. The location of the hotel cannot be beat! We walked out the front to all restaurants, bars and shopping. Out the back to the beach to watch the sun rise. We only saw our car when it was time to leave. We will definitely stay again.

Our stay was incredibly smooth and relaxing. All of our needs were provided for and we didn't want to leave the room! The staff was attentive and friendly, the beach view and access were beautiful and convenient. Everything within walking distance was also a plus. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely top notch service from beginning to end, wonderful amenities and staff, fantastic location AND THEY HAVE ALL THE DOGS. Can t beat getting to pet pups while traveling without your own.

We didn't have a reservation on a Tuesday evening and though we could see lots of empty tables, our only option was to sit outside at coffee table - like seating. Glad we asked for the main restaurant menu! I'd not for the weird seating issue, the food was OUTSTANDING!! One of the best meals I've had in a very long list of travel menus. Being ocean side on a beautiful night with dragon fly dinner companions was (mostly) lovely too. My martini was exceptional also.

Great hotel and not bad rates for the type of hotel it is

The staff is great, the spa is amazing, the food in the restaurant is delicious (if you're ok with spending about $100 on dinner for 2), but the view from the room that supposedly had a view was far from spectacular. No balcony and we were on the side of the building, so we had kind of a far off, side view of the beach. Since there was no balcony, we couldn't even open a door or window to get the sound of the waves. That was a major disappointment and I think it would have changed our experience entirely. The drink options from the bar were pretty limited, as well. Almost everything on the drink menu had tequila, which my partner does not drink. He ordered the Kentucky King, which was so strong he couldn't drink it even after it sat and got watered down a bit. Quite a bummer when you pay $12 for an itty bitty drink. The spa was absolutely fantastic, though! We went for the couple's massage. The room was private and overlooked the pool and beach, plus the staff are top notch. I am 6 months pregnant with twins and they were able to accommodate me and make me completely comfortable. There was a bottle of wine and 2 glasses waiting for us when we got back, along with a card for my partner's birthday. That was such a nice touch and was greatly appreciated. Overall, the hotel is beautiful and the staff really makes it worthwhile, but I'm not completely sure if we would stay again. I know we would go back for the spa.

Really great resort. The food was amazing and the spa (while pricey) was fantastic.

Really great dining atmosphere. Five star service, great food. Extensive wine list. Really what fine dining is all about.

We mostly had a good experience. Staff are friendly. Great location with fantastic nearby restaurants and a gorgeous beach.

Negatives:
1. Pool needs more seating.
2. We experienced a few technology issues. Most were fixed, but the wifi was spotty most of the time we were there. It's 2020. No excuses. Get better wifi. Even when hotel wifi was working, I had a faster connection on my phone with a 2-bar signal.
3. Twin beds are small. At least go with Full.

For the price, in the area, definitely the nicest beach hotel. Great staff and clean beach. Laci from Alaska, at the pool bar, was great and Martin on the beach... Thanks for setting us up right! Definitely coming back, whenever I'm in the area again.

Terrific full service hotel on the beach, made better by being in easy walking distance from several great bars and restaurants.

We stopped in for breakfast on our last day of visiting my wife's mother. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating to my wife, myself, and our 2 kids. We sat outside next to the beach and had a delicious breakfast. Great atmosphere next time we come to visit we plan on staying here.

This hotel offers a full service experience which has its pros (they bring you whatever you need when requested) and cons (you have to wait for everything you need including ice). We stayed 2 nights and purchased a couples spa package which, although the massage was lovely, was a bit overpriced for what was offered compared to other hotel spas we have been to [no hot tub, sauna, or steam room & no complimentary takeaways like slippers, robe, oil, etc.].

I have only 2 real negatives here: 1) The bathrooms are extremely small [think small walk-in closet] and 2) The parking is atrocious - it's valet only unless you have a handicap pass which we did have but they over-parked the handicap area. I basically had to crawl out my passenger side door to get out my car.

Excellent service!!! I felt like i was a special guest. The soaps were from the spa.

One Ocean is the best hotel I use to work here 5 years ago the best food best stuff ever HR are fantastic people there I wish they pay more to the employee otherwise bes hotel in Jacksonville they keep clean fresh food everything it's amazing.

Beautiful location. Bathrooms are a tad limited for conventions, but it's still worth it to have Jacksonville's programming conference here because it's beautiful and in the heart of the beach district. I can't say enough good things about the staff who are professional, courteous and really make you feel welcome. The owner does need to purchase a more robust lightning rod near his HVAC system or stock a full set of spares as the AC was out >24 hours after a lightning strike.

Came here for an ultra run that started here. Most expensive hotel I've ever stayed at but for all inclusive and beach front, you can't beat it. Nice restaurant and great shopping area/bar scene within walking distance. Neighborhood Houses are beautiful.

One Ocean is always a fantastic place to go. The service and quality of food and cocktails at Azurea is exceptional.

Just an awesome place. Quiet public beach 20 steps from the hotel. Small hotel with only a few rooms, the staff was Amazing, awesome service, the valet guys were amazing, never seen someone open the door for everyone and make it a point to smile, they actually remember you during your stay. I felt as though there was genuine care taken to know the guests. The hostess at the restaurant was amazing, the servers Kat, Hanna, Ray, were all amazing. Comfortable beds, clean, great in room bathroom, Ocean view, close to other dining places. Great weekend stay!

WOW...I would like to give the One Ocean a big thumbs up. Both my husband and I enjoyed our stay, even though the weather wasn t great. We would like to thank Martin for his professionalism, attention and response to our needs(variety of teas) and his courteous demeanor. The room was very nice, clean and spacious. The use of a laptop upon my request brought about a very memorable vacation. The only area that was disappointing: the furniture that was damaged near the bottom of the refrigerator and it appeared outdated for the cost of the room. Nevertheless, It was wonderful to have a stocked refrigerator tailored to our specific dietary needs. I believe we took more photographs inside the Resort than we did of the area outside. The Spa and its accommodations was absolutely divine and the fitness room was awesome, with fresh towels, a variety of newspapers, water, even fruits and headphones available for free. Unfortunately the heated pool wasn t actually heated and the maintenance/repair crew were working in the area. All in All this was the best weekend my husband and I had on short notice and we are definitely returning. Hopefully we can get an Ocean front view with balcony and a dip in that beautiful heated pool.

The spa was amazing! My wife and I had the 5-hour treatment and the relaxation lasted all week. Beverly is a gem. Unlike other spas, they don t try to sell you stuff to take home. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. The view from corner balcony room was awesome. Only reason, they don t get 5 stars is the size of the bathroom (very small).
