We had a blast on the pirates house tour and the on and off. Pretty sure I found a ghosti at the pirate house.
We had a blast on the pirates house tour and the on and off. Pretty sure I found a ghosti at the pirate house.
I loved this tour! Highly recommend it, if you are alone or with a group!
Excellent tours. Nlvis is great. He has so much information. Makes the tour wonderful.
Big Scott was our tour host and guide. He was extremely entertaining and informative. He told many interesting stories along the route will mixing in personnel stories and anecdotes. We would highly recommend catching a trolley with Big Scott as your driver and host.
My husband and I totally enjoyed our trolley tour last Sunday, being able to get on and off and learning something new from each driver since they were local drivers that have been here for years. We, especially, enjoyed Big Mike with his wonderful humor and knowledge that we were with later in the day, as well as Harry, who we had for our 1st tour, without getting off. He gave us a wonderful tour who shared so much history of this wonderful city! We will, totally, recommend to everyone!
My husband and I did the three-hour tour with Jefferson, who was an extremely knowledgeable and entertaining Historian. Jefferson was so captivating that the tour seemed more like two hours instead of three. Definitely worth every minute. The 15-20 minute break on River Street was an added bonus. We went back to River Street for dinner afterwards. The atmosphere was upbeat, the food was good, & the people were lively. I definitely fell in love with Savannah. Jefferson was a big contributor to that.
My friend and I purchased the on off all day package. What a wonderful experience. Jamie and others were our tour guide and was amazing!
Informative, funny and a joy to listen to. The (extras) who arrived in our bus were especially good at acting there part. I was concerned it would be boring, nope not at all!!!! Had a great time! I highly recommend this tour company.
The tour was amazing, and Ashley. our driver was fantastic. The way she handled the history with sensitivity and humor was point on. I would highly recommend Old Savannah Tours. Every employee we encountered was professional and friendly. Nice job!
really enjoyed the tour and that we could get on and off all day. It was a great overview of the town. All three were fun, engaging, & entertaining.
This is a must when you first get to Savannah. Take the option to hop on and off. Guides are great, and actors come on board at some stops to give you an interactive history dressed as a historical figure.
Our family used this tour company and we had an excellent tour. The guide was well informed, we learned a lot, also enjoyed the scenic views and the history lessons!
Very good with the history of Savannah. And really funny
What a great experience! The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable and add their personalities to the tours - thank you, Hollywood and Alex! We took the on/off tour two consecutive days and learned something new each time! An authentic addition to these tours is the appearance of historical characters who bring Savannah history to life along the route!
Horrible! The driver sounds like Steve Erkel..We heard more about him in 90 minutes than the city...in which I now know more about Atlanta instead of Savannah because that is what he talked about 150 mph. He hit at least 6 curbs and is brake happy. Hated it.
Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable tour guides. Hollywood was amazing.
Good tour...great way to get around the city with the on/off tour only downside was closes to early which leaves u looking for a parking spot later
If I could rate this a half star, I would!! They had us running around for the pick up location to start this fiasco off. One address on the ticket, then a company rep called the day before the tour with a different address and to be there by 7:15 pm. Leave time is 7:30 so my group of 6 get to the site at 6:55, plenty of time. We notice signs with different tours, we don't see ours. We call both phone numbers listed on their website, repeatedly, no answer on either. Four of my group trek off to see if anything is around that may help. At 7:25 one of the groups phone rings. It's the tour company. We are indeed in the wrong place but right across the street from where we need to be. One way streets mind you. Ugh. Finally we get there but there are absolutely no signs telling you where to park. This is Savannah folks, they really love to give you souvenirs... in the form of parking tickets! So we park, two cars. A nice, frazzled, young lady, that works for them, comes out and tells us we are at the right location but we can't park where we parked. So off we go to move both cars. Success. Into the bus! Nice. Air conditioning is working, great! Seats are comfy, great! There is a roll call before we leave... Missing more guests. Hmmm?? Guess where we go... Back across the one way streets to our original starting location! Lord help us. So finally we're off! But wait... where is our complimentary drink? Hmm? Reckon we'll get it later. A comedian named Chris is getting started, we're ready to laugh and have a good time! We were ready but unable to complete the mission. This poor unenthousiastic guy was not funny. But we are making the best of it. Any one can have a bad day. Midway break time stop, supposed to have been a restaurant. It was a bar. A $12.50 a drink bar. Wait... where is my complimentary drink that came with the $30 ticket?! Well, maybe later. We leave the bar and continue the ghost tour, which is apparently the same exact stories you hear on every single ghost tour, in Savannah. Comedian still not funny even after talking about having done shots at the bar. He probably should have had a few more! But to his credit he did make me laugh twice in that gruelling 90 minutes. The tour is boring, other than seeing the beautiful sites of Savannah Georgia. Gorgeous city! I'm fortunate enough to only live a short drive away, thankfully. We drive past a distillery (the one we are supposed to have the complimentary drink), our comedian mc says "yeah that's where we were supposed to go but they're closed". What!?! Then he says "we've reached the drop off point, y'all have a good night and don't trip on the tip basket" Really?! I think not dear sir. So Pros: comfy seats, air conditioned bus, and you see some of the beauty Savannah has to offer. Cons: The company has major communication issues within itself. Not even sure what to tell guests as to where to be picked up at. Did not have someone answering the phone. Did not leave on time due to the first issue. Comedian was not funny. No drink given, but taken to a bar that is ridiculously pricey. No comp of any kind for all this. People, I'm as chill as they come, but this was not worth $30 of my hard earned money or yours! This company apparently isn't about customer satisfaction.
We had a great experience! Loved Savannah. We had three different guides because we got off and back on. Aurther was by far the worst . He kept a constant
pratter going. He was knowledgeable but was trying
to hard to be funny. His grammar was not good . It bothered my son and I so we got off as soon as we could. The characters that came on were the best part .
Hampton did a great job. Very friendly and informative. Wonderful tour of the city. Definitely recommend this tour.
Very much enjoyed the tour and rode most of the time with Little Scott. He was very knowledgeable and provided great entertainment throughout the ride. Based on what we saw the tour guides have a lot of patience dealing with unexpected situations and are very helpful. Social distancing is not possible, however, they reinforce mask wearing and open air windows feels relatively safe. I wasn't able to give a cash tip so would recommend adding QR codes or other ways to tip. The guest speakers were a nice unexpected bonus and they did the best they can to manage capacity for riders.
just an absolutely perfect way to tour a great historical place. for the money you could not get this information and see the beautiful sites and buildings that are there any other way. Big Scott was the best, knew his history and gave a very informative tour with character and class, was very professional and still was able to put his personal touch. the comfort and quality of this tour make you want to take it again. thank you Scott and Old Savannah tours for making my vist to Savannah a great one.
We feel this is the better of the tour operators in Savannah. Trolley drivers are very knowledgeable and don't have to follow a script. They also employ actors representing prominent figures in history that may get on board at some of the stops. They offer stories to add to the history. Our favorite was Forrest Gump.
Hop on hop off. . . a wonderful way to see the city, then walk about to your heart's delight!
Your guides were very knowledgeable and funny. It was a good time.
Love the unlimited jump on/off option. The stops were conveniently spread out. The 3 driver/tour guides we had were excellent. Loved having multiple spins on the info about the locations. Highly recommend these tours
I thought the tour was pretty good. Its an open trolley as all the tours we saw were there. So in the summer, I'd say it was hot. Had some trouble hearing the driver but he had lots of stories and lots to point out in what is a very historic town. It was a little slow for my liking, but I find these types of tours are great to learn a lot from those who know what to see. You can also jump on and off the trolley during the day to get to different areas as they have 16 stops, but if you are in a rush, not the way to do it.
loved the tour, the guide was great, the breeze was appreciated!
Our driver was hilarious and knowledgeable! I can't remember his name but he is a comedian and works for the radio station. Request him! We have been to Savannah many times and learned a lot from this tour
I booked this tour while on a 4 day trip to Savannah. There are many tour companies in Savannah but I am convinced Old Savannah Tours is the best tour option. Our guide had the perfect combination of humorous and knowledgeable. I did the hop on and off version. On this version, you can get off and explore as much as you like and then hop on the next trolley. I learned a lot about Savannah during this tour. I highly recommend it.
Our tour guide Mike was great!! If you ever get the chance to travel on his Trolley, you will have an amazing experience!! This was definitely the best way to explore and discover the Historic District of Savannah Georgia! Also, our Trolley Driver, Natasha navigated the tight city streets like a champ. I was very impressed with her handling through all of the illegally parked cars on the sides of the streets (as it was Sunday and maybe people were at church so the streets were even busier than normal).
I loved this tour! Highly recommended! We had girls weekend of six of us and did the $23 trolley tour. With the intermittent actors popping on the trolley to give historical monologues. If they had AC I would give them 5 stars!
They are a good tour company. However, they need to improve their tour guides. Mr. Bigge (if I have named him right) needs to talk less about restaurants and drinking places and more about the history of Savanah city.
It was a nice ride and the tour guide was informative but I bought the pass thinking I could ride as long as I wanted. But then when it came to the end of the first round, we were told we had to board a new tour bus and that since it was the 4th of July, they would stop at 4 today. So we hopped off and found a paid parking garage for $20!! Only to see old savannah buses still running at 445 and 5. I fail to see the value in what I spent today for the tour and then to be lied to. Won't do that four company again!
Great tour, very informative, very competitive pricing compared to the competition
This was a great tour, full of rich history and even some historical characters make an appearance. Kathleen was a wonderful guide who obviously loved her job. Thank you for making us fall in love with Savannah!!!
Was very informative about history of Savannah. Loved the fact that we could hop on and off along the route all day.
We took this tour the night we got there. It helped us figure out where we wanted to go the next couple of days. It was also mildly entertaining. Worth the money.
Had a great time on Old Savannah Tours. We had "on-off" two day passes. Learned and saw something different with each tour guide. Rode the whole trip on the first ride to figure where we wanted to get off on latter rides. Loved their actors who boarded the trolleys and portrayed someone out of the history of Savannah at the appropriate location. We got our money's worth.
Collin is the best driver! They are all great, but he's my favorite. Jump on & off the tour. Each driver wil have there own stories.
Bring your own cutlery because all you'll get here is a cheap plastic fork. It's worth the effort though, because the pizza is good and the atmosphere is unique.
Very handicap unfriendly. My husband has a mobility scooter and they assured us that it would not be a problem. We spent $540.00 for 4 people on a 3 day grand Savannah pass. The 1st day it was no problem but as it got busier during the week the conductors we're ride and unprofessional.
Knowledgeable and pleasant drivers. Horizon kept us happy as we toured this gorgeous city.
Good tour of the city. We had good weather and did the hop on and off option. Worked well to get a feel for the city. Tour guides were great.
We only had one minor issue. We got picked up on a "regular" Old Savannah Tour bus and not the trolley. We didn't know the difference. The driver was non communicative and rude. I never got his name but he wore a cowboy style straw hat. We realized he was just going around picking up people to bring them back to the start of the tour. When we tried to get off the bus at a stop he became angry and told us to sit down. I would have insisted we get off but did not want to get in a verbal argument with my five year old daughter watching. Sure enough we were brought back to the start of the tour where we had to sit through many of the previous stops before getting back to where we were picked up.
Make sure you only get on trolleys and not the bus (even if it has roll up sides like the trolleys).
We had a wonderful time on Old Savannah tours .We had completed the tour twice the tour guides are very informative and very friendly, both tours was a little bit different and the tour guides had quite a bit of information to share that was not repetitive just be prepared for the rain.I definitely will be back to bring friends and family
Great tour! Very dogfriendly, my dog Callie was always welcome!
Absolutely love this tour! Very informative, actors get on at various locations and tell about points of interest! Buy the hop on and off ticket so you can ride all day and get off and on when you want! We take the full tour first thing, then we start getting off at places we saw the first round, of places we wanted to explore, then back on to the next place we want to see! Very much worth the price. We are going back next month, and I can't wait to do the trolley again. Make sure you get the white trolley, it is the best! The other company doesn't have the actors getting on!
Absolutely awful. They offered special Trolley service for Saint Patrick's day weekend for $20.00 a person round trip and were supposed to pick up at our hotel every 45 minutes. On Saint Patrick's day after waiting for an hour we found out that they were not going to pick up at the hotel but rather at a nearby Denny's. They made good, however, and had a trolley pick us up at the hotel. We got downtown later than we thought, but no harm no foul.
Saturday was a different story after 2 calls to verify that trolley service was going to start at noon AND pick us up at the hotel we went outside at 11:50 to wait. At 12:15 we called to make sure we were at the right place (we were told yes) they say the trolley was in route. 45 minutes and 3 more calls later we finally gave up and got an Uber for 24.00 for six of us instead of 20.00 a person.
I don't know if their historic tours are good, but their shuttle service is among the worst I've experienced.
Waited over an hour for a shuttle to pick us up. Apparently problems with the shuttles but no one passed along the message to customers. Couldn't get a refund. Customer service rep reeked of booze. What a disappointment.
Their prices are higher than the other trolly tours but they are the best. Wonderful actors to bring the history to life as well as amazing drivers, they never disappoint.
We did the hop on/ hop off tour and our tour guides we're great. Thanks Brenda Lee and Big "E". They we're great. Never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a trolley. We also booked the graveyard encounter with dinner. Our tour guide, Peter, was fabulous. Dinner was good at the Pirate house. Be sure to ride all the way around at least one time to get a good idea of where you want to go back. It's the best way to do it! Great company and fantastic tour guides!
friendly helpful staff. no hassle great overall buying experience
Fabulous tours! We did the ghost and history tours! Very informative and entertaining! Ur guides and historical renactors were awesome! Love everyone's enthusiasm and professionalism..even the shuttle drivers! Thanks for making our first visit to Savannah so much fun!
I'll start with Hop-on Hop off:
1. If possible go with "Mr.Comedy"(I guess that's his name), this dude is extremely hilarious, born & raised in Savannah. He knows a lot about the place & I bet you'll stick to the same bus for all 16 places, also, don't get down before that you'll miss a lot of stuff.
2. If you're in there for some history, you'll get to see a lot of it. I personally enjoy US history and that's what exactly what I got to see.
3. Busses are not necessarily cleaned during these time which was one drawback I saw, it would have been nice to have the busses cleaned after at least every tour.
4. They are pet friendly.
Next to Grave Encounters Ghost Tour:
1. This woman who does the tour has tremendous energy. She will make you enjoy the tour to the last bit, even if you're the most dull person on earth. (I feel bad not remembering her name but her picture is on their website wearing a nurse dress in blood).
2. There are stories about graves and dead bodies around the city that'll give you creeps. She'll make it creepily funny.
3. There are things that are scary and fun to see, above all it's a tour anyone of any age can be at.
4. This is just funny: There is a house made by a women who "hated" men. My dog just peed on the bottom her statue, apparently he was insulted.
Our driver was great, Angel was a blast to listen to and very knowledgeable on everything in town. I would recommend to anyone visiting Savannah.
Recently visited Savannah and what a wonderful time we had. Papa Jack of Old Savanah Trolly Tours provided an a wsome guided trolley tour of the city. A must do! Thank you Papa Kack!!
The day tour was good as far as on-off tours go. We went around two times with four different tour guides, and received a little bit of different information from each. Our frustration though, was that we specifically took this tour rather than the Old Town Trolley because of the characters as a means to entertain our 7 year old. The first time around (only as a driving tour) only one character ever appeared in the 90 minutes. The second time (which was much more on and off), there were only two more. The drop off points were generally of less interest to our children then the other trolley tours (but only a couple blocks off). The night time ghost tour thanks for a wonderful trip. No orbs or other apparitions, but the stories from Nurse Nancy (Olivia) and the cast of characters made for a very enjoyable evening. Probably best for 10 year olds and up due to the gruesome and gory nature of some of the stories.
Guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed it very much
We had a fabulous time last night with Miss Elizabeth Ann Tulley! Would highly recommend you get her tour!
Had a great tour. Took the all day, on and off tour. Got on and off three or four times in different areas. Guides were excellent, really know the historic area. Guides were fun and put a lot into their presentation. Gurst speakers at three or four stops. Free downtown parking. Would definitely recommend and will probably go on another tour if we return. Old Savannah tours, the white trollies.
Always love Old Savannah Tours! We've done it at least 6 times! Each time we learn one more new thing! Friendly and knowledgeable!
We had the best day on the tour!! Very informative and the team were excellent from being picked up at our hotel to the end of the tour.
N'elvis' was very informative and answered many questions. "Tammy with a T" was also pretty amazing! She was very interactive with the guests, other guides and especially the street actors. Loved loved loved Tammy!
We booked this tour through our hotel and would recommend for every and anyone visiting Savannah. All the tour guides were super informative and nice. A lot of great information was passed which really sealed the deal on us returning for another vacation to this place. Do yourself a favor and go with Old Savannah Tours (the white trolley) you wont be disappointed!
Charged my card 4 times and refuse to give my money back I have to pay my car payment and phone bill and have no idea how I will do so as $240 was taken out of my account when it was only suppose to be $60. My husband risks his life overseas every day fighting for your freedom and this is how he is treated $200 stolen out of our bank Account.
We did the on/off tour. Every driver had different insight on things. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to everyone visiting Savannah. There is so much to see and do. Definitely take the tour all the way around and then go back to places that you want to spend more time at.
Just a bus riding around city talking about random stories sometimes pointing to a house that was either too dark to see Or too late save your money
Loved that actors got on board and told you more history and stories
WONDERFUL! We lucked out and had "Big E" as a tour guide. Very informative and entertaining at the same time. A definite fun experience, probably because of Big E.
Driver guides are great. Very thorough tour. Reasonable pricing.
We got the tickets for free, but it's definitely worth paying for as well. We sat for a very informative and entertaining tour and then took advantage of the service where they dropped you off or picked you up at certain spots. If you can take the tour with Wendy, who was by far the best of the three guides we had, definitely do so.
Teri Love is hands down the best tour guide! She was entertaining, engaging and knowledgeable. We bought the hop on and off historic pass and after several stops we hopped off of Teri's trolley to do some sightseeing. We had a half dozen other tourguides during the day and while they were all pleasant, Teri was on a whole different level. We literally tried to track her down just so that we could get back on her trolley because she was that good. We would recommend this tour to anyone as it was a great introduction to Savannah. If you want to laugh, learn and be totally present get on and stay on Teri's trolley! Thank you for a great time Ms. Love!!
Big E was a really entertaining driver! Wonderful tour.
Awesome Tour
Very informative and knowledgeable guides.
This tour is amazing. I had the all day in and off tour, which allows you to get off the trolley at aan of their stops oyf you wish to explore more, then get back on another trolley when you finish exploring
I am ONLY giving a 1 start to the Boo Y'all tour. As for Old Savannah Tours during the day, they were great. Got on and off at different stops and the conductors were very knowledgable and informative. But the Boo Y'all tour was a disaster. It's the same tour as the day, and the supposed comic who narrates was horrible. There's a reason these comics aren't working the club scene and doing these tours. We got mlm off at the first stop and went our own way. So the 1 star is for the Boo y'all tour.
Really good tours. The knowledge and quality of the drivers vary a lot but there were some really good ones. Definitely get the on-off option to get around town after completing the full circuit to see what is of interest. Also offers a good option for parking at their main lot.
Loved getting on and off at the market place and the old Maxon School.
Very fun good knowledge , would recommend it to anyone going to Savannah for the first time
Very informative. Like the jump on jump off availability but think it is really overpriced.
We had such a good experience with Old Savannah Tours this time around! There were 3 different characters who came on board through the tour, and all of the drivers were super nice and full of information! This is a must do if you re in Savannah, especially if it s your first time. I would recommend sitting in the front half of the trolley because towards the back it s hard to hear the driver because of the motor.
Horrible experience. The kid who sold us the tickets said we could carry on our drinks, that was a lie. But we dealt with it. The first trolley driver was okay. Nice, but nothing exciting. Billie Mac was our second driver, and was incredibly rude to my entire party. Aside from being unpleasant at the get go, he then kicked the entire party off the trolley because we "weren't listening to him." We weren't talking loudly, or across aisles, yet, he literally told us to get off because we were being "disruptive". When we brought our issues to the front office, they then tried to excuse Billie Mac because he was a recovering alcoholic, and gave us the names of other trolley drivers we should avoid... what kind of business does that? The only time they conducted their business with decency was when they finally just gave us our money back.
