Maronda is absolutely horrible. The customer service is awful. We recently purchased a Maronda home in Foxwood Knolls (Moon Township) and since the day we have moved in our yard has been flooded. The runoff is extreme as our yard erodes away. The response from the service department is either no response or they simply blame you. Eric who is the foreman on the job has told us (and other neighbors) that we should expect this as we bought a home on the downside of the hill. His words were something to the effect of "what do you expect as water goes downhill". What we expected was proper engineering and design. What we expected was not to be summarily dismissed. He actually blamed us because we put in a patio. This issue happened long before a patio was put in. Video shows that even the slightest rain creates a flow of water streaming into our yard. Our yard is eroding away. At different times we have rivers, waterfalls, and lakes in our yard. Unfortunately, we are not the only ones as a neighbor just recently had to threaten legal action against Maronda. The service and warranty department is a joke. While we love our home our yard was never properly seeded and we just spent several thousand dollars on new sod and seed to only see much of it washed away. Maronda service ends upon the sale as the either don't respond to calls and emails or it is extremely slow. They don't care about you or the end result. There are solutions to the problem, but they refuse to recognize that there is an engineering flaw in grade and water runoff. To make it worse, you (the consumer) are to blame. Additionally, the workmanship is very poor. For example, concrete around the houses is already flaking and cracking. They could not even put a sidewalk in correctly as somehow the managed to offset it. Heaven help the child riding his/her bike on it. I strongly recommend that if you are building a home that you look at anther builder then Maronda.

So far so good. Pleased with the construction process and our new home as a whole. We only have one major issue that is currently pending concerning an electrical line that is exposed in our front yard that seems to connect to the light post which is not working now. We have contacted service and are waiting for that to be addressed. My only other suggestion would be for the workers to pay a little more attention to the details because most homeowners do when they do the final walk through (mainly cosmetic related like scratches and knicks). It will save on re-work in the end.
Crooked walls. Chipped cement. Leaking roof. Unlevel floors. Not enough ac and heat. Poor workmanship. Customer service is worse than the house
