My family absolutely loved the resort. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We especially loved our vip conceirge Marlena. She really helped us and made sure we were being taken care of. We will definitely stay again!!
Sister resort to the Now Garden. Very expansive. Many pools and is also attached to the beach. The Carnival buffet is amazing and the main plaza is filled with 5 restaurants, a nightclub, a sports bar with bowling, billiards and foosball, a cafe, a theater, a gym, a spa and even a clinic! The Garden is also a wonderful place but you think of that as a residential area and the Larimar is like the city square. Customer service is also UNMATCHED. Never seen anything like it. Not one order of food or drink came out wrong. Can't wait to come again and it's only been day 3 out of 7.
My wife and I came here for our honeymoon last year, and came again this year for our one year.
This place is amazing, staff is great, it s right on the beach and the entertainment is great. We will definitely be come back again.
People are so worried about what s going on the country right now, but there was never a moment we were worried about our lives.
Highly recommend doing the preferred club and book any activities through Amstar reps in the hotel lobby. (Beach salesmen claim to be with the hotel)
Rafael the Butler learned our schedule to make sure he touched base at least once a day if we needed anything. (Rooms okay, restaurant reservations, delivering special gifts)

Absolutely horrible checkin experience. They don't take customers that have been standing in queue for over an hour in the same place. They instead take those who skip the line, right in front of them. Standing here waiting and extremely disappointed. This is my second time to this resort and my last.
After over an hour waiting with one person in front of me I was next, after some more waiting I was told since I was preferred member I should have told them so I could have private check-in. No one told us that. As soon as we arrived they ushered us to the front desk and that's when the disappointment began. Since then we were checked in to our rooms. Only one of four in our party received our booked room preference. The butler attempted a few times to upsell us so we can get something more upgraded. All we wanted was what we paid for.. Now we are in a double bed instead of King and the shower floods. Waiting for someone to fix so I can shower. Probably will have to go down the hall to our other room to shower. There's a constant knocking on the ceiling that sounds like the AC unit is working overtime. Very poor experience and we've only been here a few hours. It's upsetting that we can't pack up and go to another resort. Oh and found out their pools close at 6p lol so that just sucks. I really hope I can improve my review over the next couple days. It almost feels hopeless though. Oh well, I won't be referring any more family or friends here unless something drastic happens.
Excellent hotel for couples or families. The staff are warm. The food is very good. They serve excellent coffee latte at the lunch buffet. Very nice site with a very nice beach. We can walk a long time on the water's edge. Blank space to the right if you are facing the sea.
A great stay for a moment of relaxation and idleness ... a top staff! All with little care at all times in complete discretion, availability, smile and kindness from all without exception!

Me and my wife stayed in the secret royal resort and was about to go on the now side. The food was much better and the bar was on the now side. But the lazy river on the secret royal resort side was the best..also the night shows was amazing. Now Entertainment does it right. Good job
Wait staff, guest services and entertainment was great. Wilkin was with the wait staff. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He even had a birthday cake made to surprise my daughter! Now Larimar is lucky to have him on staff! I give him 5 stars!!
I was disappointed however in the room. We were pressed hard to upgrade. No one really took no for an answer and yet the amenties were not worth the upgrade. There was a blood stain on the sheets when we got to our room and hair all over the floor as if it were not properly cleaned. The only time the sheets were changed was when we took them off the bed ourselves. No one seemed to give us any special treatment besides Wilkin and I'm not even sure he knew we were Preferred clients. The wait time for the restaurants were ridiculous. We waited an hour and 45 mins one night for dinner. I understand that with low attendance they didn't want every restaurant open, but because of the wait time, there should have been an additional option. I will not go back to stay at this resort again. Grounds were beautiful and again the wait staff was very kind, but the hotel did not meet standards they listed online.

Excellent place to rest and be quiet, relax and enjoy a service of a high level of quality.
First visit to your hotel, the experience was good, some points to improve the treatment at the time of providing information to the customer, the staff very attentive with the exception of one person who made us spend a moment uncomfortable for his lack of tact and he did because we are local (Dominicans), the curious thing about this is that it was already ending our stay at the hotel! For the rest, everything is fine and the atmosphere pleasant.
Just returned from vacation. It seemed okay couple first days, but then I had the worst food poisoning in my life. I believe that it was after I visited Italian restaurant there. I spend the rest of my vacation in room with pain and fever. When I came back to home I went to emergency room and I was diagnosed with salmonella and coli bacteria. I wish that somebody could close this place, so people are not struggling after eating that food. When I reported that I'm sick in hotel they wanted me to pay for doctor services while the cause of it was their fault! Stay away from this place.

Great location for a destination wedding. Lots to do and plenty of space for a large group. We really enjoyed the beautiful pools, beach, and never-ending tropical drinks. The food at the many dining venues was pretty good for an all-inclusive, and there are a number of great little restaurants within walking distance. Do arrange a boat trip to the nearby snorkeling spot as not to miss seeing lots of colorful fish.
Only caveat is that service is not up to par when it comes to stocking and maintaining rooms in good condition. You have to request robes & slippers, and you still might not get them. Worst of all is the hard sell re: "golden key" program upon arrival. It puts a damper on the vacation to have to forcibly say NO right at the beginning.
A decent resort by Dominican standards. Not as plush as some of the larger resorts but still a good standard. Food choices a little limited and service occasionally a bit hit and miss.
The resort was clean and the staff was over-the-top amazing! Desiree took care of us personally leaving rose petals on our bed and table sporadically throughout the weekend. She even made special reservations for us and special accommodations. The resort is nice and the food is good but what makes this place great is the people!
To good to be true, 6 restorants but 2 are always closed ( roulet system ) on the restant 4 2 have a very strict dress code so pants into a resort with 40 degrees outside no slippers etcc. Service is good but can be better, room cleaning is perfect en friendly. They always try to sell you priviledge rooms for vip status but you eat and sleep into the same building and probably kitchen
Family orientated; whilst not overbearing, the poolside apartments are beset with noise from kids and regular "parties". The overly loud music is all based on "Drum and Bass" and must be targeted at teens; a quiet time you will not get at NOW Larimar.
The settings are very well maintained and the staff are friendly, courteous and helpful.
The rooms are clean and airey.
The beach is clean and well maintained, though if you have a plan to use it, make sure you bag your spot early because it gets busy.
Spend the extra on Preferred status; it's not much more money and it gives you the run of the place. If you're prepared to holiday in Punta Cana and enjoy the indulgences of Sun, Sea, Surf, Sand, perfect Pools and a FREE bar, it's churlish not to go the extra mile.
Avoid the Sales Presentation. This is a typically American formatted high-pressure selling technique that literally blasts you with initially huge numbers that decrease with each barrage. It'll last all morning and leave you stunned. My advice? Sign nothing on the day and go away and "do the numbers" to decide if what they're offering suits your projected lifestyle.

Spectacular, the cleanest beach in the area, the rooms at the pool one last and the food very good. No queues, no crowds.
Good affordable option to have access to full Now Lamiar resort. The Now gardens are about a 5 minute walk (or short golf cart ride - which is always available by request)to the full resort which has more food options, pools, beach access, and more entertainment options.
I actually preferred staying in the Now Gardens area rather than the Now Lamiar area because:
-It is alot quieter and peaceful in the gardens/less people
-The pool is nice and has alot of open chairs and beds everyday. You won't find any open beds in the full resort pools unless you are a preferred member.
- The snack bar by the pool is open most of the day along with the beverage bar, with in pool bar seating
- Windows had same buffet breakfast and lunch options as the Carnival buffet in main resort but was closer, in the Now Gardens area
- Capers (Italian restaurant) was one of the better restaurants at the resort and is in the Now Gardens area
Rating the Now Lamiar resort and Now Gardens resort as a whole, the food is not very favorful and is usually lukewarm. Some staff members were great, but some had a poor attitude when serving you. As an English speaker, it was difficult at times to communicate with the staff, but is doable.
The Now Gardens rooms were adequate but nothing special. The resort was very clean and had lots of good entertainment options throughout the day.
Tips:
-When you check in, they hand you a golden key coupon, which is for a time share presentation.
-Make sure to bring some cash with you, as most employees here work for tips.
-Making a reservation at the Spice (Japanese) restaurant IS worth it. Best food at the resort.
- The alcohol is not as strong as American alcohol, but if you ask for more in your drink the bartenders will happily do that for you
- The house wine served at the restaurants seems to be normally alcohol strength, unlike the alcohol in their other cocktails (^see above)

Hotel with first class facilities, cleanliness and order is a constant. Many options to have fun and have a good time, several pools, jacuzzi, entertainment, etc. Buffet food is acceptable, although they do not have seafood, however Mexican and Italian restaurants are very good. In my stay the last day there was a leak of water from the roof of the jacuzzi in the room. I reported it and they upgraded me to a better, more comfortable and luxurious room.

Great resort with very friendly and resourceful staff. Beach was beautiful and accessible within a minute walk. Overall very clean. We accepted a sales presentation about their vacation club and got a gift certificate for the spa.

In principle, not a bad hotel, good service and food. Of the minuses, I would call only the presence of members only. What is members only is the ability to use the add. Bars, swimming pools for additional payment of 850-1000 $ that you pay when you check. Initially, it seems that the territory is large, but in fact it is either a territory only members or secret. Of all the pools, only one for regular guests, the rest for members only. It is good that the staff doesn t drive much from these privileged zones, but you can t order anything at the bar. Non-normal, there are small shoals, but not fundamental. In the evenings in the room mosquitoes bore me badly, from where they come from, I did not understand (the balcony was constantly closed). In the evening, there are interesting cultural programs in the hotel, waiters go and offer drinks from the bar (very convenient). In general, a good hotel, but for ordinary guests not enough territory, swimming pools and bars. The emphasis is on the fact that you pay extra and will be in a more comfortable state. Provided that the hotel itself is not very cheap, it did not pay extra for club privileges and focused on excursions, of which there is a huge amount.
Excellent option for a family rest in a beautiful place. Access to the beach through the Larimar hotel of the same chain.
We were there 4/20 to 4/27. We had a great stay. The property was beautiful and clean. Staff works very hard to clean the beach a d a clean pool. The entertainment staff was awesome. Babyface, Beyonce, Minibaby and Jayzee made us feel at home a d was always up for a good time.
At the entertainment at night, our server Rubi took great care of us.
One thing we didn't care for was lunch by the pool. You only could go to Castaways if you were in preferred club.
There is a grill there for burgers and dogs daily which was just OK.
We would definitely recommend this resort.
It's OK but not the best hotel we have been to. Rooms are humid and the smell can be horrible at times.
The food is ok.... you will always find something to eat but don't expect high standards.
The drinks are of poor quality. It always seems to be too much trouble!!!! Staff do have an attitude issue here!
The beach is ok but very windy this week.

Such an amazing resort. You would immediately fall in love with it upon your arrival. The staff are super friendly and you would find yourself overwhelmed with stuff to do and before you know your vacation's over! The night shows and performances are a great treat.
Loved it! I had a lot of interesting activities with the hotel staff, and I also had a lot of fun. The food in the restaurants was really delicious, and the rooms were pretty well arranged and cleaned. The weather was warm and sunny almost all the time. The view from my room was really great. The staff was so friendly that I will never forget about the time I spent with them during the activities I got involved in. I also made new friends from many countries around the world easily. I really miss this place, the friendly staff and the new friends I made there now!
We had some shows, club and dance party here as Secrets is more quiet.

Constant entertainment, varied buffets and a la carte restaurants with quality (highlight to the American restaurant). Friendly staff. Good option if the objective is animation, poor choice if relaxation is a priority. As in many other hotels in the Caribbean, the first room we are assigned is on the ground floor and smells like bafio. After complaint, change to upper floor.
Clean resort and workers are very friendly. Good restaurant and convenient access to the Larimar facilities as well. Nice and quiet relaxing hotel. Had lots of activities and entertainment. Beach is a bit of a walk but it's definitely worth it. Will recommend this place to anyone who is going to Punta Cana.

Beautiful resort with great pools. White sandy beaches, water was murky with LOTS of seaweed which is out of their control. Great food with lots of variety. Service is a hit and miss but overall is good. Not sure if I'd come back again. Don't waste your time with the presentation for the special club members, they say 90 minutes is all they need but ends up being the while morning. I took one point away for having an American style 2 tier system with their "members club" area, pools and restaurants which we weren't allowed to use since we aren't members. They should have a whole separate resort for the members club as they do with Secrets resorts. Not sure why have 2 tier system in same resort... It's definitely not worth paying for the upgrade to the members club since we shared the same beach and buffet restaurant.

Much better than the sister property Secrets. The food is a little better but still bland. Service is good and rooms are decent. Don't fall for the "coupon" gimmick when you check in though. It's a hard core high pressure time share pitch.
The hotel is a very nice complex. The gardens and pools are very well maintained. However rooms and restaus lack cleanliness (tasks on mattress, poorly cleaned faucets, tablecloths in the restaurant not changed regularly)
It's a good place to be, the staff are attentive and the facilities are well maintained. Lots of activities on the resort and off. If you're looking for yours off the resort. Olympus/Gogo tours is your best bet. Radalfi is the tour rep there.

Dear god where do I start? On the surface, this place looks amazing. Im giving a two star out of pity due to the fact that when we first arrived there, we were handed an ice cold towel to cool off and a cold glass of punch. Off the bat, I was impressed. Sadly, this was the first and last good thing of this place. DO NOT GO Here and waste your money! We paid 4,500 USD to go here to an all inclusive resort where the entire staff constantly hounds you to spend hundreds of dollars more on dinner when food is already included at all the restaurants, why on earth would we spend 160 dollars on a lobster dinner? They also make it abundantly clear the difference between preferred members and regular guests such as us. They once again hounded constantly to spend over 50,000 dollars per person, a life long plan, up to 365/month for the next 30 years to be a preferred member . We unfortunately and unwillingly were pressured into a two hour long sales pitch in a life time commitment such as that. Oh, dear reader, this is barely scratching the surface with sales pitches. The pool is nice, however you get constantly hounded by salesmen to try their shady excursions and they will literally bother you almost every time they make their rounds along the pool. The beach is worse! The sand is nice, but that is IT! The beach sales people are ten times worse! They constantly bother you to try their excursions or shady cigars. The ocean water, a disaster. We preferred the pool water over ocean water. The water was full of dead seagrass and seaweed, unacceptable for how much this place makes. To make matters worse, every time and I mean every time you entered and exited the ocean water, there would be once again, another sales man to greet you to try out their marijuana, cigars, or other junk they were selling.
Now, on to the housekeeping problem. Housekeeping, when they eventually cleaned our room, they did a good job at cleaning, however, they would always clean our room at 6pm or 7pm!!! That is way to late in the day. For instance, the one excursion we did do through the resort and the resort only (because thats trusted) we did ziplining. Ziplining was off the resort and it was quite fun. However, we left at 7 in the morning for the excursion....we returned to our rooms after the excursion at 3pm. We are sweaty and exhausted from our trip and low and behold and to no surprise, our room wasnt cleaned yet! And to the resort owner that reads this post, yes our Green sign that says Yes please clean our room was displayed all day. We even tipped our housekeeper at the beginning of our trip, and that made zero difference. Our room was always cleaned by 6 or 7pm! Unacceptable. Even Motel 6 here in the states cleans their motel rooms by at least 1pm!
In closing, my dear friends that plan to vacation here, Do Not Come Here! I ve heard of other resorts being much better. This place I do believe with fail unless they fix all the problems I listed above.
Subpar food and I hated how I felt like I was constantly trying to be sold on something. Service was good, however.
It is a cozy place full of beautiful people willing to serve you and make you spend an excellent holiday
