Great resort. I recommend the deluxe rooms if you can manage the price difference.

Hotel sensational on condition that you do not take rooms in the "Garden". Food good and drinks even better. The service is nice.

Great event for the weekend and friendly staff. Typical island service and very nice accommodations. Overall the food was sub par and very disappointing. There were a couple of locations in the resort that the food was good but you had to get the preferred package.

Excellent service everywhere you go. The pools, swim up bar, pool side bbq and restaurant are rarely crowded like it is your own private resort. If you want party atmosphere and nightly shows it is only a short.walk or golf cart ride away at the adjoined included Now Laramar. Awesome experience and would recommend it to anyone.

Nice rooms, excellent quiet location, superb staff, just 5 minutes walk to main building of Now Larimar resort.

Wonderful place to be.... it was my first experience there and I didn't regret anything.

Loved the place. Its has a lot of things to offer. 7 different restuarants, night clubs, room service & huge pool with a lot of games. Really enjoyed our stay!

We were at Secrets & went to eat at a couple of the restaurants.

In terms of price / quality ratio, you can put 4 with a slight minus. Why exactly 4? For a 5 * hotel, the number on these 5 * doesn t pull at all: it looks at some sheds, it s pretty hard for an adult woman to open the balcony doors and they don t close, the lights on the balcony do not work, there are 3 towels for 3 visitors, no slippers and bathrobes (this is generally the first time we meet in a 5 * hotel). It seems that it was recently being repaired, but this repair was done. Quite mediocre insulation - at night you can hear the trolley staff rolling in the corridors - and the feeling that it s rolling in the room. The choice of food at the buffet is so-so - there is everything you need and nothing more (we did not have enough cereals for our daughter, little fruit, nuggets and other children's treats). Also during the day with snacks the situation is rather sad (the choice of food is flawed, the child has nothing to give, if he is not a fan of french fries and rice with sausages). Internet wi-fi in every room for free is a plus (I haven t yet met this in the Dominican Republic). If it disappears, you can connect to the Internet of neighboring numbers in the settings. There is no musical equipment in the room. If you like to listen to music, then take the equipment with you (I always carry a portable speaker with me). On the entertainment square, they are intrusively offering to buy souvenirs (bro, look, buy, etc.). Pro Fitness Center (Gym) is a very poor choice of simulators: only bicycles and skis, there are no power simulators and this is very bad (for many people this is important now). The pool for ordinary tourists (why ordinary ones - a bit lower) is only one and of a rather modest size. Perhaps it was because in the pool water is really cold - the child of 6 years for 3 minutes in the pool turned into a trembling leaf (this, too, have not seen before). Even in the mini pools (jacuzzi) the water is also cold. Individual personnel deserve 5 points - everything is clear and fast, despite the Dominican mentality. Even the shore is cleaned very quickly after the waves. Remember sometimes during orders at the bar or during dinners about tips, because For many workers, this is the main income. Well, the smile has not been canceled :) Another nuance - everything on site is divided into zones: ordinary tourists are not supposed to go to some restaurants and swimming pools in the VIP (all inclusive at the hotel have not seen) - a strange feeling of unease pursues. In the VIP club you can get by purchasing a room in the VIP area, arrived at the hotel the third time and purchase a "status". In general, the feelings are mixed. In case 1, the Council insist on the even room numbers (1412, 1314, etc.) - then the window will go to the green park inside, not on the cabins as we have.

Lowest 5 star hotel in punta Cana, good beach, good food.

Staff here were not friendly. Acted like we were bothering them by just being there. The people in the retail store were rude. Didn't stay here, just a sister resort to Secrets (where we stayed). The club was fun and the casino was ok. Food was good.

Not such great service. Food wasn t that good as well as the drinks. We were placed in the wrong room and the didn t give us the one we booked until our last night, and our concierge (Joan) never booked the romantic dinner by the beach that we asked him to.

However, when we complained to front desk they were able to reserve a dinner by the beach for us within minutes.

All in all, we had high expectations of this resort given the reviews but our experience wasn t that amazing unfortunately.

What a fun experience. Staff very nice. The room could of been a bit cleaner. There was construction all over that was loud. The mangos they served was the best thing about the trip!!!

Great place to stay. It has something for eveyone. A daycare place for young kids. Events for teens. And events for adults. There are shows, concerts, and beach parties hosted throughout the week. Food is amazing. Family friendly place. And if u need a break from the resort they provide excursions throughout the DR. This was my family's second time coming and we'll definitely be turning.

The staff is fabulous-very friendly and helpful. It was sometimes difficult to explain what was needed due to very limited English ability. The food was outstanding at every restaurant. Our room was ok. There was always a musty smell. We had to continuously ask for towels and washcloths. The room had an iron but no ironing board. There was a big shower but it was difficult to shave legs without anything to put a leg up on. The room lighting and lack of a full length mirror made it hard to get ready. We were told that we were getting a jungle view but we got to look at a neighboring property with junk piles, hanging laundry, and junky cars. We did not spend much time in the room or on the balcony. The glass door was difficult to open and lacked an outdoor handle. The resort had many good shows and a beautiful beach front but go real early to get towels for either as they seemed to run out quickly. If you are going to enjoy beautiful weather and are not bothered by average accommodations, this is just an ok place to stay.

We stayed for the second time in this beautiful hotel this time for 3 weeks in Preferit Club, definitely we will be back. Hotel area beautiful the staff fast and attentive, where for you like to leave a tip. The Mexican restaurant & steakhouse recommended and the Italian restaurant also delicious. Greetings to the whole team in the preferit club. And especially at Pache Maria & Pedro Contrerad.

Went to that resort a week ago.
They made us wait for our room so long and even offered to give us a upgraded room that turned out to be in worse shape than one we originally booked. Very rude office staff!!!
They run a construction work in the resort so there s no way you can reset your mind. It s so chaotic and loud!!
On top of everything, the bus that takes you back to the airport came early and left without Us!!
Staff didn t care about providing us the ride so we ordered a taxi !!!
Never ever going back to Now Larimar!!!

Nice facilities, beautiful Punta Cana beach, great atmosphere, good food.

Excellent hotel to visit with friends or family, even as a couple. It has several recreational areas and includes a nice view of the beach. Its main pool is extensive, clean and beautiful. They also have several bars where attention and quality are up to date. The restaurants that it has are very varied and exquisite, I recommend the Mexican that without a doubt filled my expectations. As for the evening entertainment, they have several shows in the main area for the whole family and a disco with good drinks and atmosphere, the only problem is that it closes very early. Without a doubt, a visit to repeat.

Now Larimar has the most attentive and friendly staff!! The food is mostly great (I'm still not sure about the tacos but the arrachera is delicious!!) Any choice for breakfast is the right choice. Theres juice everywhere. The entire resort is super clean. The pools are a great temperature and the main one is big enough to play waterpolo in (without bothering people; testament). None of the pools were deeper than 4 ft which I suppose is a smart move considering the amount of alcohol flowing. I'd definitely recommend getting the Premium deal because it gains you access to my favorite pool (with hammocks) and the beachside restaurant, among lounge access (that ALWAYS has food) and other fun stuff. The rooms are great, considering you won't be spending much time in there. There was a tub and a separate shower in the room I got so I was definitely pleased. Our view was to the side of the property which was someone's large backyard and a bunch of palmtrees. There was a rooster who screamed good morning every day but he always woke up around 10 so all was well. Being able to sit on the balcony and not get drenched while it rained was delightful. The beach is so close it's not even a talking point. YOU'RE THERE. I'll come back again.

Visited for the first time last summer in August. We loved it so much we just booked another week long vacation at the Larimar for this July! Can t wait to be back!!!

This hotel is recommended!
Very nice hotel area, nice hotel staff, clean rooms and many attractions at the pool and in the evening.

I ll give a three star because of quality/ price ratio and staff general kindness.
Apart from that, expect:
- noise starting at 6:45 with heavy works around the hotel, but in corridors too
- damp and cold rooms
- long walking distance to beach & entertainment
- an average buffet on site compared to Now Larimar, which offers more choice.

Incredible, when my expectations were not too high, I must say that they were totally wrong, adequate facilities, good and varied food and as a note to highlight the wonderful service and the human quality of their employees

We had a good time The only complaint is that they have a restricted area for preferential customers and as in the check-in they did not give us the information we had an unpleasant moment when the receptionist invited us to leave the castaways restaurant in the beach area

Such a wonderful resort! All of the staff was great The entertainment team did a fantastic job at engaging with guests and provided awesome shows each night! The wait staff was always prompt and enjoyable. Check-in was complete with drinks and a cool towel. We sprung for the upgrade and are very happy we did! We got access to the VIP pools (which were quieter and less busy than the main pools), VIP bars & lounges (better quality liquor, less busy, etc), a special VIP beach area, access to the beach side restaurant, a room upgrade, special pillows, and much more! The beach was so incredibly beautiful and filled with lots of fun. The room is AWESOME!! Huge, lovely, clean, and comfortable. The restaurants were great - there are 6 on-site (French, Japanese, Steakhouse - aka American, Mexican, a buffet, and a beachside restaurant) and one in the Now Garden that you can go to (Italian). The food was pretty good, but not the best we've ever had. But...we were there mostly for the warmth, relaxation, and drinks. So that was alright! There's also a night club that was quite fun (and there was a pool! So cool!) and a sports bar (that was closed for renovations while we were there). This was our first time to the Dominican Republic and are very happy with the resort we chose to stay at. I highly recommend the NOW Larimar!!!

My husband and I stayed at the Now Larimar in Sept 2018 as our late honeymoon, and we loved it. The only reason why we didn't give it 5 stars was because there was a lot of sea weed in the beach and although the resort tried to remove the seaweed every day, it made it somewhat impossible to swim in the ocean. But we spent most of our time in the pool, where we met many great people. Also, the resort assigned us to a personal contact person, his name is Rafael, and he made sure that our stay was amazing, he even set up our room with rose pedals and bubble bath. We would recommend Now Larimar, and we can't wait to visit again :)

The most gorgeous beach and great food. Amazing rooms and incredibly friendly staff.

Good place to go as a couple, it is very quiet.
The employees are super friendly and the food is excellent.

If you are looking to book here.. DO NOT. No one speaks any English, everything is in Spanish. Our room which is in the garden is a mile down from the main pool and beach area. If you want to upgrade to the perfered club, you have to pay $40 dollars extra a night. You need to get a golf cart to drive there to the main area, which has taken as long as twenty minutes to arrive. Then you walk another half mile to get to the beach and pool. You get room service but you can t even order anything if you don t know any Spanish. It is literally the most frustrating thing because you would think the same 15 things on the menu are easy to understand... it s NOT. Food is terrible, only one good resturant which is the French one. Ask for a drink and your garentued to be forgotten about or possibly get it twenty minutes later. Save your money and spend it on some other resort. SO disappointed.

To the generic response from the manager , you pay money to resorts such as yours for people to know BASIC language to help your customers in a country where they don t know the language. Such as simple things on a menu. Sad you couldn t address any of the other horrible service we received. Only to make your self LOOK like you care. No one wanted to help me with the issue while I was there complaining yesterday. Just tried to sell me a stupid time share into the horrific resort. Sad.

We have really enjoyed our experience here at the Now Garden! We love the easy access to the sister resort, Now Laramar and to the beach! The staff is very helpful and friendly. Special shoutout to Julio at the front desk, Antoine and Roberto at the excursions area, and Superman for keeping us entertained! We will definitely be coming back to visit!

This Hotel is at a higher level, but only for those who are members of it, because the pool restaurant is only for members and the Snack opens at 12:01 pm and the food does not vary, that is, you are obliged to have breakfast and eat without option in the same restaurant and do not have the great variety. Very decent and helpful staff.
In conclusion, it is not a hotel for Creoles. And obviously they can perceive it from the entrance, as they stop the Creoles and let any foreigner pass without question. On two occasions I felt discriminated against ...

Beautiful nice and relaxing environment friendly people I would like to mention the guys attending the pool bar diangelo and Antonio were absolutely fantastic and very polite and friendly

It took them three hours to check us in, you can imagine how frustrating it could be after a long flight. Also, someone woke us up 8 am in the morning to participate in their time sharing presentation meetings; they threatened us if we did not go, they wouldn t provide airport transportation, which we had already paid for.
Food was just okay. I found a worm in my salad, I showed it to the buffet manager, he asked my room number, and of course nothing happened afterwards. Anyway, rooms were clean and activity people were nice. In general, for me it was my last time.

It is a magnificent place, very clean, very good attentions, a 5 star service, with beautiful shows, beautiful pool and white sand beach, everything is very beautiful.

Excellent customer service, the food is good, the drinks are not premium but they are not the worst. The facilities are fine only that the air should put it to work better

My stay in the hotel, excellent.The good food, spacious room.I want to highlight, the animation of the guys, SUPER MAN, nice, friendly and good people, also, mini baby, ficticent, the presenter of the shows, very cool, Red Bulls, etc. And the guys at the beach bar, all very attentive, especially, the CHIKI .. a hug to all of MARADONA.

Awesome staff good food selection. They push for timeshare too much. My friend cell phone disappear from the bathroom in just a minute. No one saw anything.

Great hotel. The stuff is very friendly and really grateful when you tip. Nobody asks for nor expects tips. The stuff will do their best to satisfy you desires. Want a couple of chaise lounges on your backyard? No problem. Locked your access card in the room? Here is another one for free. Not all the stuff have good English, but key personal do.

The bar contains real alcohol, not watered down, not counterfeit. Cocktails of the day are tasty. But some bartenders need to learn how to use shakers and measuring nozzles.

The room is clean.

The only disappointment is the beach. They clean it every day, but at some days seaweed if really intense. As far as I know it is the problem everywhere at the Caribbean. Be ready for lots of seaweed. One of the worst days you can see on the pictures.

The best experience we had was in the buffet the Carnival. Our waiter went above and beyond, Modesto was great! Our last night he set up a candle light dinner for us on the outdoor patio. It was fabulous!! The spa was wonderful. The beach chairs were in horrible condition and some were not safe to use. Our room was dark and musty.

Very nice for a family with children. Lot of activities, very clean, and very friendly.

Nice reaort. Easy to get around property with good pools and staff.
