Very nice hotel. This is much quieter than it's sister hotel Larimar. The pool bar serves good drinks and the swim up rooms are nice. Note however that even though all rooms have whirlpool, it is located outside the room and hence it has no privacy.

Just got back from my vacation at Now Larimar resort cannot say enough good about it. The people very friendly and very acomidating . The staff made sure your needs were taken care of to make it a wonderful experience . The food was excellent. They kept calling us family and that's just how they treated us like family !

The only positive is the staff. They are incredibl...

The only positive is the staff. They are incredible people doing the best they can with what the resort has to offer. There were no umbrellas at the pools, the lounge chairs were falling apart. The food was mediocre. Our rooms air conditioning went out, the tv didn't work properly and we kept getting woke up by a rooster at 3am every morning. I do have to say the staff stepped up and gave us a new room.

Beautiful, clean overall resort. Beach is wonderful and pleasant. However, the room rarely got cleaned, and the included minibar only stocked once the entire week. Some of the restaurants have poor service and are filthy.

The pools are great and the drinks are stiff. Overall 3/5

I loved!! I have been to several hotels in the are...

I loved!! I have been to several hotels in the area but. I have to say that this has been one of my favorites.
The quality of the food is very good, the workers are very professional and friendly. The hotel manager is constantly monitoring the facilities and food.
The fact that you don't have to book for any restaurant is a huge plus. What I liked the most is that this hotel is a bit isolated from the hustle and bustle.
I just have to say it's a 10 out of 10.
The bad thing was the short time that I stayed.

I was a bit shocked after the arrival and the meal at night we were accommodated in the apartment with a pool of water as it turned out from the air conditioning and the musty stench but the fatigue was overwhelming. The next day we were transferred to another apartment with the help of Mrs. Magda. Besides, great, I can only recommend the rest of the time in the hotel was very enjoyable

Beautiful resort. Rooms and grounds were well maintained. Staff was very friendly and polite. Pools were excellent. Loved the swim up bar. The restaurants were all very good. Liked that you could set up some tours without leaving the resort.

We stayed there for couple of nights. The room was tiny and weird set up for the bathroom. The food at the Asian restaurant was terrible. The international restaurant, which is big, was the only good one. We watched the performance show they put in the auditorium and that was good. Also, unlike other guests who stay building that's a walk away from the beach, our room was overlooking the pool and quite close to the beach, which is a big plus. Overall, wish the rooms were bigger and the food better for the money we paid.

Love this place , facility and rooms was very clean , staff was supper nice . Food was great. Room service was the best , Quick response when you need anything . It was enjoyable been at this please . Will be back aging soon .

Really for the price of the hotel that is not cheap ... it leaves much to be desired, to begin with, do not be fooled, the hotel all its rooms are with partial sea view ... I paid for one that was facing the sea and there is no .... it is partial view .... the room service is sloppy ... they don't do the cleaning as they should ... they don't clean the floors..what saves the hotel is the staff that works there, They are very friendly in general ... !! But if I had the opportunity to return to Punta Cana, I would not book at that hotel.

Within less than 24 hours, we were harrassed to by a time share. It was very aggressive they wouldn't back off. Fridge leaked , someone came in a couples room that we were their with in the middle of the night not once but twice. Room service served us watery nachos, food was horrible just look at the pics they speak for themselves. Liqueur was watered down big time. Food at the 5 restaurants was tasteless...

Facilities and service make Now Larimar an outstanding resort. Highly recommend upgrading to preferred for access to private pools, lounges, and restaurants. Especially loved getting up every morning to have breakfast at Castaways by the water. The staff went above and beyond. As a person with Celiacs Disease, I am used to being content with few to no choices and seek food items that won't make me sick. Henry, who worked at Castaways, made sure to be at each restaurant to explain my dietary restrictions to staff because not everyone understood English. Our group would have reservations at new restaurants each evening and Henry would magically appear at that restaurant to make sure the kitchen staff prepared gluten free options for me. We didn't ask for this, he just overheard me asking for gluten free food on the very first day of our trip and took it upon himself to do so. Talk about going above and beyond!! Reservations aren't necessary but our group didn't want to have to wait for a larger table. Desiree made our reservations each evening and was happy to help. The beach was beautiful and clean, the pools were relaxing with incredible bar service. Our favorite dinner restaurants were Capers, Tamarindo, and Spice (hibachi). Make sure to arrange dinner reservations for hibachi on the night you arrive. Mercure was good as well. The portions were very small so members of our group ordered two entrees. The rooms were beautiful and service was once again outstanding. We had an issue with the air conditioner. It was fixed immediately. Rooms were cleaned and mini bar was restocked each day. Cesar arranged for a new treat to be sent to the room each evening. On the rainy day we used the hot tub and magically had champagne and fresh fruit delivered. I say magically, because the staff at this resort knew before you did what would be an amazing addition to your stay and make your trip one of a lifetime. They did this without being obtrusive and without expecting extra tips. That being said, I highly recommend tipping and tipping well. These staff members work very hard over very long days. They work all morning at one place, at a restaurant later on in the day, and some provide the entertainment at night as well. Despite these long hours and some very demanding customers, they were always happy to help. Outstanding service all around.

Welcome very warm with cocktails everything went very well juska we went up to the room the first thing I did was go see the jaccuzi big disappointment neither sea view nor jaccuzi in the balcony we asked them to change us rooms he put us in a room with jacuzzi on the balcony seen on the swimming pool they explained to us that we had the same options as the person in the master class and that we were prefered in short we we only eat in the restaurant by the pool and the open buffet we did not eat meat so we did not go to the a la carte restaurants so food levels I could not say that it was Excellent, however, the servers are fine. very nice very helpful except one at the reception Who refused us because my husband was in a tank top that annoyed us a lot to go back to the room to recharge ... otherwise everything is fine except .. that I made myself ler my wedding ring on the beach having them put on the deckchairs before measuring me the sunscreen pay attention to your valuables !! The hotel said to try to make searches in vain Following that the manager of the hotel Very nice explained to us that we could not operate his insurance knowing that the theft does not know produced in the room anyway he offered us one more night than we could ask what we wanted he would give us because we had wasted time due to the flight .. it was my birthday so we asked for a romantic dinner on the beach which is very good to spend and also he changed us rooms and he put us in master short 3 excursions 1 on the island saona adored the naturaaaal swimming pool
2 we rode a boggie it was cool one morning
And 3 scuba diving we loved a lot too
All in all everything is going well apart from the room moves and the theft of alliances .. and damage that there was very little staff who speak French and one more negative point was The beach unfortunately there was a lot of palm branch good I keep that the good rate I would recommend this hotel anyway because overall it was good it is maybe we that we had no luck ..

Because we had the opportunity to compare quality, food, accommodation and human values of their workers in relation to other hotel chains and my husband and I concluded that they are INSUPERABLE.
More than 5 stars should be cataloged with 5 diamonds, our congratulations

I have been to quite a few resorts in my time and ...

I have been to quite a few resorts in my time and this was by far the worst place I have ever been to in or out of the US. The food was terrible! On all of our paperwork this was supposed to be a top shelf liquor resorts and it was far from it. You have to upgrade to get top shelf and even then there isn't much for top shelf. I didn't upgrade because it was not worth it and I am glad I didn't because I was told by multiple people that the "Top Shelf" sure didn't taste like it. We would order drinks for example Stolie vodka. I would watch them poor my drink and that is the bottle it came out of but when I drank it was obvious it was not vodka. At one point I had the bartender poor me a shot just to sip it straight and see and it definitely wasn't vodka. This happened the whole trip so in conclusion for drinks, the bottles are obviously being filled with something other then what is labeled. When it came to the drinks in general, they were horrible. We were there with a wedding with a party of 35, over half of us were feeling like crap by day 3 and 12 of them were beyond sick and were unable to leave the room! People we constantly pestering you to buy something... even calling your room sometimes 5 times a day starting at 8AM so we all unplugged our phones. The dealers at the casino misdealt numerous time which cost us somehow. The rooms were ok but not great. I guess the last tipping point for me was when you do the review upon checkout I had 2 guys hovering over me and telling me a couldn't make the review I was and I could only hit excellent for everything. Anything else would make them look bad and they would lose jobs. One even started redoing my review for me so I just gave up. It was very disappointing and upsetting but what can I do other then write this review. On a better note.... Beach was amazing! Clean resort when it came down to it. There was constant activities at the pool which was cool and fun. Eclipse club was for a little night life as well as the shows. If anyone books a trip in the Dominican, I would stay far away from this resort. :(

I was disappointed. A blackout for three hours or so. Cleaning service in the late room. He offered cooking show, a total disaster nothing of show. They did not offer apologies for the lack of electrical power.

The staff here are amazing! Joan, Harvi, Marciello, Ronnie (He was our bartender at Garden). Joan was GREAT! The resort was beautiful. The reason I could not get 5 stars is due to the alcoholic beverages and the food choices. With the alcohol they will try to give you rum all day. There is no top shelf only with the preferred and if you want better alcohol or better food you will more than likely want to upgrade which will cost an additional 80 to $100 a day which defeats the purpose. As far as the restaurants go the Japanese, French and Mexican are good. I did not like the Italian or the buffet. Keep in mind that you only eat at the actual restaurants during dinner time. Other than that you will be ordering breakfast and lunch from the buffet which is horrible. You can also eat at the pool grill outside and that is also horrible!

Got back on Sunday from a week long stay. Had a great stay. The grounds are beautiful, and the lobby modern. Food was good. We visited all four of the specialty restaurants and the Italian restaurant at Secrets next door. There were a few things in our room that needed repair. Our biggest issue was not having wash clothes in the bathroom. Everyone in our party had the same complaint. Did not like being approached by the VIP club reps every time we went into the lobby.

My mom, daughter and I just returned from this resort. I will start with the positives: Pool lovely but could have used a nice slide set up for the kids. Staff was mostly friendly but definitely needed more training. Pool waitresses were very nice and attentive at all times. Chef Manuel should be commended for making an attempt to satisfy our culinary desires. In my 40 plus years traveling I have never had a more awful experience. This resort needs a complete overhaul. The initial room we were given was a disaster- electrical outlet in bathroom broken, phone broken and wires hanging out, cot they gave my daughter had springs coming through it and the room itself was dirty. We were VIP clients- really? My dad who recently passed away and was a travel agent for 35 plus years would have been appalled. We did move to another room but no one came to help move our luggage. The girl at the desk helped me move the luggage. Unacceptable. The food went from vile (seriously!) to edible once we met the chef Manuel. He did his best to accommodate but honestly if you are going to buy substandard food/ingredients how can anyone whip up a good meal. All 3 of us were sick the entire 7 days we were there. I am a wine drinker but could not even look at the house wine which was the only choice on the all inclusive. Disgraceful. I visited the gym one day- it was run down- again, unacceptable for the price I paid. The resort boasts about the hand sanitizers but I found empty sanitizer dispensers in the gym, at the pool bathrooms everyday and in the bathroom at the Carnivale restaurant. The shows were not family appropriate. The pool chairs are a disgrace - many broken and sunken in- these should be discarded. My back is in pain from the chairs and the poor quality mattresses. Finally, the lighting in the rooms is ridiculous. It was like being in a dungeon- nothing cheery about them. I would have been better off with a staycation. Last time I was in Punta Cana years ago I stayed at Paradisus- much better there.

nice hotel.Personnels agreables.Probleme d moisture in the rooms.Bais the big problem when you have a room on the ground floor: THE BORDEL NIGHT ,,,,,, we are constantly awoken by the noise..in this moment are the people who speak head to head in the hallway. the noise of the carts. REALLY DECEVANT.On the already reported at the front desk, but it serves no purpose. every night it starts again.I am sure I will not stay in this hotel again

My husband and I went to Now Larimar for our honeymoon at the end of June. Beautiful resort, friendly staff, night time entertainment was amazing! We were very disappointed in the food though. Also you might want to stay away from the Mexican restaurant. We read many reviews saying it made people sick, but we went anyways, and my husband and I both got food poisoning. We had to reschedule our excursion it was so bad. Once we were better we took an excursion to Saona Island. That was very fun and beautiful! It was a highlight of the trip.

I really enjoyed my stay at this resort and it was my first time in the dominican. let me just say it was amazing the people were extremely friendly and the beach on the now larimar was very clean compared to further resorts along the beach. Just like anywhere else there we people coming up to you trying to sell products the whole day long. overall i was extremely happy and i can't wait to come back just like i promised the staff i would. It was an amazing vacation. Thank you

I was just there for the my mother 25 anniversary ...

I was just there for the my mother 25 anniversary and vow renewal. It was my first time out the country and was I ever let down. My room was broken broken into when room switches were made and my wallet with all my debit and credit cards were stolen and two outfits that were left inside the drawer. When I told staff and made a report it took a hour for them to come to my room and once there. They made it seem as if I were lying and finally said they would check into everything they would get back to me. I waited two days and finally went to the lobby were they said they closed the case and found no wrong doing by their staff. It was the worst experience. I was taken advantage of and nothing was replaced or compensated. We were a group of over 40 ppl and they could care less. The food was nothing from the culture the snacks were stale. My air conditioner in my room didn t work the first day. I sweated all night. The pool closes at 6 pm. The staff in the lobby was lazy and rude. You have staff hounding you to buy excursions all day. Just a overall terrible experience won t ever recommend you go. I pray that if you truly want to experience a Dominican lifestyle you do not visit this place.
