We really enjoyed our stay at the Novotel in New York and would recommend for anybody wanting to be in the heart of the city. Very comfortable room, good service and friendly staff. Well done Novotel!

Good location. The bellman Juan is amazing as well as the front desk reception. Housekeeping is really bad. They barely clean your room, do not replenish toiletries and took 45 mins to bring us clean towels. Housekeeping even forwarded us to the front desk after 30 mins when we called to check. The rooftop terrace and drinks overlooking time square is great!
Great location. Very central to most of what NYC has to offer. Awesome staff. Very friendly and helpful. The rooms do what they're meant to do and are comfortable. I doubt you'd be disappointed with a stay in this hotel.
Another wonderful visit. This time I had an outside room so there was quite a bit of street noise. I stayed in a suite this time which was very nice. Plenty of room to move around. As before the staff, especially the front desk, was terrific. I'm so glad this hotel is convenient to where I need to be in NY regularly.
I called the front desk and the guy that answered was so incredibly rude! I called to tell him that there were ROACHES in my room! I will NEVER stay at that hotel AGAIN!
hotel hyper well placed for escapades on all the spots of the city, whether it is central park 12mns walk or time square at 10MNs, the 5 th and the rock feller has 3 blocks also..the theaters, restaurants and resorts metros nearby, and easily locatable to return at night. without getting lost. room big enough and clean in an old style but practical .. the cafe nicole very nice for a drink or have a breakfast facing a breathtaking view of time square .. the reception is not at the top question amiability but it is not essential, the price is sometimes high according to the periods but justified in relation to the location .. a good compromise comfort services location ..
5 stays in New York and 5 times in this hotel. Ideally located for a first visit with restaurant overlooking Times Square, close to the subway, most of the things to see in downtown Manhattan are within walking distance! The service is great and for those interested, there is a concierge service and it seems to me that the concierge speaks French. The value for money is there.
This hotel is in a great location. The staff was nice and my room. My only complaint was the bed, it wasn't as comfortable as I would of liked it to be and our shower wouldn't work properly.
Stopped by the rooftop lounge area to enjoy the amazing view of Times Square and the lovely outdoor fireplace. Beautiful place. Would definitely recommend.
The times square is a 3 minute walk, it's a good spot, nice rooms and clean, helpful staff, a nice restaurant and a cafeteria that overlooks the times square that deserves to sit down !!
This is my sixth time in New York, and my sixth time at the Novotel. Outside Brazil, we are extremely well treated and we realize that the platinum status is indeed worth it (in Brazil it's no good). I was upgraded to a room overlooking Times Square and as it was my birthday, there were souvenirs and a bottle of champagne in my room. I just do not give a 10 for some confusion with the upgrade in the room, but that in the end was resolved. Thank you staff at Novotel New York. I hope to return soon !!
Really nice hotel with amazing views of Times Square from the 23rd floor. Great breakfast, though a bit confusing system where they hand you a bill even though it s been prepaid.
Hotel very well located with Timesquare view according to the type of room. Near the lines 1 and E of the metro that comes live from JFK. Already three stays in this establishment and nothing to complain about.
Hotel very well located .... very functional room and good quality bedding .... adorable staff with a special mention for French speaking concierges ....
I came at freezy night, the room temperature was at 76 and didn't go higher. I called operator, he sent "engineer" which couldn't do anything he said that's the highest, i called operator and said it's not acceptable, he said the they can't do nothing the whole hotel is set at this temperature (really??). I said show me another room as u sound now ridiculous. Then the same(!) "engineer" came and.. oh miracle (!) he fixed it. I said all of u guys are such LIARS!! Just made me SO mad and irritated for no reason.
Overall: WAY overpriced hotel, HORRIBLE "costumer service" from most of the stuff here, no room delivery after 11:30pm (really?!), No parking space, Spent almost $300/night for a room doesn't even have tube.
Hotel well located near the metro red line. Very nice terrace from where we see Times Square. Check-in and check-out very fast baggage check. Nice view of the rooms on the 23rd and 27th floor breakfast quite expensive I did not try the restaurant clean rooms
After a 23 hour journey, we arrived to a disgruntled front desk. Pretty average customer service, no real interest in making guests feeel like... guests. No explanation as to what they were charging to our credit card and no receipt to show for it.
Accommodation was clean & tidy. The views were amazing from the room (level 19 facing Times Square).
All in all if the staff stepped up their game this place would be a 4.5 - 5 star venue.
Very pleasant stay. The staff is very professional, very polite and helpful. The rooms are very clean and functional. The location of the hotel is really ideal. Possible improvements: make an effort on the quality of coffee at breakfast and give the opportunity to take an espresso at no extra cost. Also make an effort to get better croissants. The rest of the breakfast is perfect.
Very good address! Room and bedding nickel, personal care, beautiful views of the rooms and bar / restaurant on Times Square. Not to miss. The pdj is succulent and complete
My experience at Novotel was incredible. My fiance and I got engaged in NYC. The wonderful staff at Notovel found out about our new engagement and offered us free champagne, desserts, balloons, and left us a little message for us. The whole experience was perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better hotel to spend our engagement celebrations at.
I do NOT recommend this hotel if you want to stay in time square. Find somewhere else if you re smart. The staff is blatantly rude and inconsiderate. The room is nothing like advertised in the slighest, even considering the photoshop, editing, and positioning that goes into the online photos. The view is average at best. The location is not great either. Save your money and don t visit this overrated, cheap piece of junk .
Excellent hotel in the heart of Times Square one small downside the prices of consumptions and prices exorbitant breakfasts .... we were very well received the waiters are very nice and warm they even have us to make the dessert to two times for 3 people .... so I highly recommend Novotel Times Square for a pleasant stay in the heart of Midtown
Location, location, location! Heart of Times Square. Quiet and comfortable with gorgeous city views. Fun and funky lobby with diverse menu choices like lobster rolls. Walk around the corner to see Wicked one of the best musicals of all time!
We spent 7 night with my 3 children. I highly recommend this hotel because it is very well located (very close to Time Square), magnificent terrace with a breathtaking view of Time square, the hotel is resolutely modern and very very clean !! The breakfast is very complete and also very good, I strongly recommend to take it, especially with children. Only small downside of the breakfast, the servers who "force" a little the TIP. The room was comfortable, but a bit small for 4 !! Rather fairly well soundproofed. Points to improve: - Restaurant menu a little "limited", too bad because, despite the beautiful setting, we only have dinner once there - reception staff a bit cold, no follow-up to requests (I am still awaiting the return of my request for a superior room ...). I would probably stay at this hotel again but in a room more suitable for 4.
High quality hotel. Quality services. Perfect welcome. Very clean room. Ideal situation. A criticism of accessibility for people with reduced mobility. Bathroom not at all accessible. My son in a wheelchair and without any autonomy was severely handicapped due to not being able to easily access the toilets and the bathroom, despite the fact that the hotel advertised accessibility for people with reduced mobility. Great difficulties for the shower and the WC (forced to increase it to 2, becoming dangerous)
A warm welcome, a very rich breakfast and the staff is very efficient. The hotel is very well placed, very nice view from the terrace! We are delighted with our stay!
All excellent. The hotel has been remodeled very recently and was very good, all modern and with an excellent supernova terrace overlooking Time Square. There was no surprise charge (which usually happens in hotels in the USA) and the best of all is that they gave us a room upgrade for only 10 additional dollars per night. Very good cleaning and the view from the room was spectacular.
Thank you very much for everything Sres Novotel TQ
Rooms are clean. Toilet is very very small... shower is literally shoulder width for example. Been here 4 nights now and staff forgot to clear the trash once. Disappointed that the alfresco bar area was closed for winter; hotel should make that clear on the website... I am sure its one of the main selling points when you enter the website. Air conditioning made a "whoooop" sound when on automatic and the thermostat switches it off.... loud enough to wake me up and turn it off. Location is very good... walking distance to theatres, Times Square, the Park etc. Was an OK stay... wont come back for this price.
Hotel in a strategic position to visit New York. Varied breakfast, both "sweet" and "salty". Good variety of choice whether you choose the Italian breakfast or the English one. Going early for breakfast avoids the queue for a table. Spacious rooms (for NYC standard!); the queen size bed is enough for two people who don't move much and respect their own space! Reception staff welcoming and helpful (upgrade to "room with a view" offered at a great price), room staff just sufficient and not in line with the four stars that the hotel boasts. Spectacular view from the terrace!
