Novotel NY Times Square Hotel Reviews

Our first time in NYC and the hotel didn't disappoint. From the smiling welcome we received from the friendly staff to the actual view of the room of the Times Square from our room, which was exactly as the pic in the website! Room is very well appointed but can be cramped for 3 or more adults with limited space for big luggages. We're very happy with our choice on this trip and will definitely be coming to this hotel again.

Small room but very nice amenities. Good overhead shower. The view was nice. Elevators use room key to keep non guests out. Overall a very good stay.

We had a wonderful experience at the hotel, my family and I had a seven day trip to NYC, the staff was very friendly and professional, the online check in and the check out were fast and didn't have to make a line. The hotel is very well located at the theater district a walking distance to central park and times square. Next time I'm defenetely coming back to this Hotel.

Perfect service and services. Everything very clean and pleasant, not to mention that the location is perfect. I would go back a thousand times ...

I stayed here for 5 days over the winter holiday I love it it's beautiful the rooms are beautiful the food is great the bartender and the drinks are awesome only problem is I have a heart condition and begged them to make sure the coffee they were sending to my room was decaffeinated and someone sent up caffeine coffee which causes my heart to beat fast get SICK sweaty and I had to go to the hospital

Went to the sky bar. Absolutely fabulous! Drinks were on point and the small plates were tasty. You dont get a lot of food on the small plate but that's typical of NY.

Beds too small. Rooms too small. Great staff though.

Small problem the first night because despite booking very early we were separated into 2 rooms and had to change to a common room for the other 2 nights. Long wait to fix the problem after a Paris-NYC flight and children very tired.
Aside from that lovely and smiling staff, very nice and very clean rooms and great location for visiting NYC.

Bathrooms are extremely small and there is very little closet, drawer, and counter space in actual room which is also quite small. Ice maker on our floor didn't work, no coffee pot in room, large tiles on shower floor were very slippery, only 5 hangers in closet, and no top sheet on bed so you could either sleep under a much too warm duvet or nothing. Many areas of the hotel were also dark and gloomy. One positive, the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

The hotel was very nice and modern. View from the room and the restaurant were fantastic! Will definitely stay again.

Came here for a company party. The food and drinks were fine. The view of the city below from the outdoor section is nice. There are a lot of seats outside to lounge around in along with smoking sections.

I was initially given one of the worst rooms (low and in front of an air machine) having other better ones free. When I protested and requested a change, they transferred me to a better one. Unfriendly staff

The hotel is well located very clean.

The front desk attendants are rude and do not cater very well to tourists.

The food is delicious.

It's a laid back atmosphere for a rooftop. Just know it's only a few floors up, and the drinks are still a little pricey.

The service staff was amazing, the food was exceptional, and the view of Broadway down to Times Square was gorgeous.

Super well placed ... very nice rooftop with a super nice view on Time square but we can not eat a piece to spend 21h while it is a super nice place ... just drink a glass beyond 22h so imagine when we arrive from 16 hours of travel or more depending on where we move to arrive it is very frustrating and even unpleasant not to be able to restore, to pause, apreciate the magical places ...
The breakfast is quickly taken between 9am and 10:30 so anticipate ... the staff not always smiling ... pity.
But this remains a place where the rooms are quite spacious for the neighborhood ...

Bath and shower were nice, but shower leaks all over bathroom floor. Slippery.

Very good hotel just of times square great view's. Food in the hotel was very good, staff were excellent only downside was the hotel bar closed at half eleven when we were just getting back to the hotel.

Solid hotel at great location. Definitely q good choice for business stay as well as for the weekend getaway.

I visited the rooftop with my friends. We were waiting for 40 min before server came to us. Also, I lost my wrist watch and next day I called to this place and asked to speak with someone who managed a rooftop. But after my call was switched to other line, no one answered me. Only after my 4th calling I can speak with someone who try to help me. It was worth experience! Don't recommend this place if you want to have a good service!
But, of course, the view is so nice.

Clean rooms, the staff was nice and helpful. Located a few blocks from times Square. The only annoying thing is that you have to take an elevator to the lobby and one of the two elevators was being serviced; consequently there was always a line/wait to get to the lobby.

Hotel was comfortable, check person was rude, tried to charge us for early check for just a few minutes early. Over all would stay again, great location

The views are incredible. The food at the restaurant was the among the most bland I have ever had - go for a drink and enjoy the view. Room very clean and nice.

If you want to see Times Square in rooms and restaurants, I highly recommend it! Breakfast is also very good!

Absolutely out of this world! Took my family into the city to celebrate my daughter's sweet 16!! The staff was 1st class! From security to front desk to house keeping. All aces!! The atmosphere inside the lobby is electric. Video games for the kids, picture kiosk for capturing the memory and computer work stations to stay in touch. The restaurant "Supernova" is tops! They had my reserved table by the window. We had a breath taking view of Times Square at dinner. The food was amazing!! The waiters were always there, asking if we needed anything. We loved the attention. The room was spotless. Very comfy for my girls. Beds were soft and the view....awe inspiring. Bathroom was sparkling! Rain shower head!! Ordered room service at midnight...was up to our room in 20 mins. Location is perfect. Parking garage 100 yards away from front door. I can't say enough great things about this hotel. We are definitely not high rollers....but this hotel made us feel like we were!! It was a perfect weekend!!

Stayed here for a minimoon with my wife. Worked with Sam to set up a special week. Thank you Sam. Great service, great rooms, great food.

We were there from October 20th to October 29th. Thanks to the girls at the front desk for doing their work beautifully and Sarah for an special welcoming and Jimmy, the concierge for being a gentleman. Couldn't say the same for the bold Spanish man bell boy named Francisco or Angel didn't recall his name. His prepotent and disgraceful manners towards us the last day while waiting for our driver is outrageous, he didn't like that we had our personal driver to get us to the airport and didn't help us with our luggage, incroyable!!! Who he think he is? Expelled this kind of people of the Novotel, he acted and look like a hustler, shame on him, a total gangster and you are responsible for hiring this kind of people, totally unacceptablr from a hotel like yours. And also the breakfast is a shame, bad food in a French hotel, are you kidding me?

First time guest, won't be the last. We chose this hotel over our usual MM in Times Square. Couldn't have been happier with our stay.
Rooms were nice and clean. Location was superb. Close to everything we wanted but away from all the hustle and bustle that is Times Square.
The rooftop lounge/bar was nice after returning from the the Billy Joel concert. We had a few drinks while looking down to TS. Great ending to a perfect night.
The staff were IMO fantastic. Always polite and helpful with no attitude.
Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.
Can't wait to do it all over again in a few months.

So first to the bad: the price is out of proportion to the service. The reception staff extremely cocky. The rooms are damn small. The hotel bar in about 7 floor is overrun because apparently no guests here and the service in this outdoor bar is moody and forgetful and the tip could not be. Too good: The location is just perfect and my request in the upper floors to get a room was fulfilled .... I was at the top under the penthouse with a view of the Time Square ... dreamlike and quiet and the beds were very Good. Very funny and cheerful were the pages.

Great welcome, we were taken care of until the end. The view from the terrace overlooking Time Square is just magnificent. The impeccable room.

Great location i wouldnt stay here again though 2 nights out of 4 the restuarant was closed for private parties which is fine but they still took booking and the told sorry its closed and waiters just walk past you . Get up early if you want breakfast not a great choice compared too other hotels i have stayed in times sq once it had gone theres a long wait before anny more is brought. Overall good location pushy with making sure you tip them for everything.

Very good hotel. But unfortunately I was not well received even being a platinum membership. Not upgraded room and worst view of the city.

The lobby is on the 2nd floor which was a confusing start but the rest was smooth sailing. Great rooms combined with excellent service makes this easily one of the best places to stay around times Square. The check in and out process was also very easy. A little pricey but worth it for the location and quality associated.

Futuristic motif, and decent weekend breakfast buffet.

The hotel staff are all very friendly, the breakfast is very good. Nevertheless, the tail for breakfast is way too long

Excellent location in the city, very friendly staff

The stay was very nice. Very clean and quiet. The terrace is a plus because in the open season it is very nice. The breakfast looked good but I considered it very expensive so I didn't try it. Below is a Walgreens minimarket where one can stock up on food for breakfast and eating as well as water and pharmacy items. It is very central and close to the subway. The staff in general very attentive and helpful. Highly recommended.

Stunning views of Times Square , modern and well maintained hotel

Modern, clean, amazing views of times square. Only annoyance is lobby being not at street level...have to take elevator to another elevator to get back to room.

The Novotel Times Square was a wonderful place to stay at. Its location is fantastic, so close to Times Square and all the theatres. We walked to a theatre each night to see a show. It's also near places to eat - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our room was a good size and modern. The view we had was stunning.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Times Squares hotel, and the experience was consistent and great. Comfortable rooms with small fridge makes life convenient. Great location and wonderful outdoor area off the lobby. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Stayed there for a week with my 12 yrs daughter. Perfect location with views of Times square. Spacious room. Very clean and tidy. Good breakfast.

Location is great. A bit pricey but hey you in the middle of NYC

The hotel is located right next to time square and the staff is really nice. The roof terrace gives you a spectacular view on to time square.
However, the breakfast situation was a mess.not enough tables so we had to wait between 20 and 30 minutes to be seated. And all this while some people already left their tables for some time and only had to be cleaned. Clearly not enough staff to handle the buffet, cleaning the tables, bringing coffee to the tables and getting everyone seated.

I've stayed in lots of big hotels but this hotel does it well. Staff are friendly and efficient and a good vibe. Close to Times Square, of course. Can recommend.
